Clacey's Coffee House in Sunderland

Went in for a Quick cup of coffee it was hot and -/::; tasteless so I had an appointment for a dentist so I asked the person behind the counter to cooled down a bit and she put weak as p-//3 milk in which furthered the tastless coffee Seems to me that they use the most cheapest stock bulk coffee that you can buy even worse than Ness Nescafé Had to put 10 sugars in just to give it some flavour Shower Cost me ba:.:,;; £3.50 Will not go back in there again

Popped in for a coffee and bacon sandwich what a lovely friendly cafe. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Staff were lovely, but our "iced lattes" were just a glass of milk with ice cubes and coffee syrup. Felt a bit robbed.

Grabbed a take away sandwich and wrap. Absolutely appalling, a single slice of processed 'plastic' ham and a bit of lettuce. No butter or mayonnaise. Bon appetite..you've been warned.

This place allows dogs in. They have water bowls & dog treats. I mean, how cool is that for dog owners? If you are on a long walk down to Roker Seaburn Beach or seafront. This is a great place to shove into your GMaps to call in on the way there or on the way back. Sunderland Seafront is a dog walk away. I had a cup of tea it was the best cup of tea I've had out I a long time properly good quality teabag tasty full flavoured brown tea. So for me this is a huge bonus. Finding a place that does a proper cuppa is difficult. Not any more. This will do very nicely. Food: excellent. I had the hearty big soup with a slice of toast I could have had brown or white bun with it. I have to say it was like my mother used to make, yes as good as that. People around me were eating away and they all looked to be enjoying their food as much as I did mine. Local cafes with local families owning them, and local workers from around the doors working in them, keeps the money flowing locally. But it is a battle I recommend this place to you with ease. Bring your dog and have a moment or two with your wonderful pets. Great isn't it.

First time visiting. Called in after the gym and it has a lovely calm atmosphere. Ordered the soup of the day (lentil) which was delicious. Staff friendly and welcoming. Will be coming back! Thank you!

First visit today won't be back just watched her wash the dishes and use the towel that was on the counter she had been using to dry her hands on to then dry the dishes!

Called in for coffee after picking children up from school and were able to bring in dog. Staff so lovely with the little boy explaining what biscuits they had. Coffee was good. It was near to closing but judging by the tables they were clearing it had been very busy

Went with my friend who is a bit of a coffee snob. She loved the coffee and we enjoyed a scone and cake in a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Staff were friendly and professional

Really lovely inside. The seating and setting is great. Staff are friendly. You can sit back relax, and sit at the window watching the world go by. I ordered a flat white (coffee) and a cheesecake (Battenberg).. Definitely one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever tasted ❤️

Lovely little coffee shop on Sea Road with nice staff. They do a wide range of different teas and coffees. They have a nice variety of cakes as well as sandwiches and paninis. Nice atmosphere in side and friendly staff that makes this a lovely place to sit and have a drink and snack.

Staff are always friendly and there is a nice choice of cafe style food (Jacket potatoes / breakfast items / paninis / sandwiches / cakes). Lovely calm atmosphere. Child friendly and dog friendly.

Ordered a cheese salad sandwich..disappointed that it came in a white bap with no choice of bread ..otherwise very nice with friendly staff

Came in for a takeaway latte and bacon sandwich best bacon sandwich ever and amazing coffee will be back!

My wife and I both had to send our coffees back as there was none in. Another couple walked out as there's was poor aswell.

The staff are always smiling and helpful. Food is always cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere every time I am in. From the mocha man.

Collected 'picnic box' for 2 on Saturday. It looked lovely, containing cold meats, individual pies, cheeses, salad leaves and pickles, condiments and a small baguette. It easily (along with some roast potatoes) fed 4 adults. Thoroughly enjoyed by all and a treat not to cook! Thank you and I will return!

Normally lovely, but they were really busy, good not do nice poached eggs were hard boiled 🤪

Love this place as a coffee shop and very friendly staff, but would not recommend afternoon tea, for 12.95 per person sorry but very poor.

Microwaved rubbish, cheap tbags and staff behind counter with hair loose and no apron. Expensive micromeal Staff must have been different from previous reviewers. Also had to ask for more milk for cup of t.

Clean and ok inside Ordered a latte 15 mins later still no latte left without it as had other things to do the rest of the day . Suggest a quicker coffee machine, more staff or clear your diary for a all day visit

Lovely coffee shop with friendly staff. The waffles are amazing.

My sister and I visited this coffee house for breakfast. As soon as we entered it felt warm and cosy. There was a mixed age group of people here which I think is a good Sign. We both had a full English breakfast and it was delicious. The staff were friendly as well as professional and courteous. The cappuccino was delicious. I will certainly return and would recommend a little gem on a busy shopping street.
