Had the must upsetting afternoon went to rosemary cafe on Searoad with my mam granddaughter who’s 8 and grandson who’s 2 today, my grandson has special needs and autism, we ordered our food and while we were waiting he had a bit of a melt down in the high chair , the owner of the cafe stood in the middle of the cafe shouting with his arms raised peoples trying to eat the dinners in peace aggressively, I went over to say am sorry but he’s autistic he’s reply was well do something with him put him on your knee I said that doesn’t work, the lady that worked with him said he had children himself like that which you would think he would understand better ??? I was then told to take him out !!!!! I can’t believe that in this day and age people or still have so much ignorance and understanding of autism my child who is now 24 was treated the same all then years ago I am so upset and angry by the whole situation

I live around the corner to Rosemary’s cafe and eat here regularly.I always feel as if I’ve eaten well on good fresh vegetables and plenty of them. .The meat of the day varies my favourite is beef or lamb with lovely gravy. There is also steak pie, chicken curry breakfasts and other choices. The staff are very caring too,I’ve noticed how they are helpful towards customers always keeping an eye on the door if needs closing due to drought on customers or help on opening Door,or watch the step.Meals are hot and tasty.Ive eaten in lots of places and this one takes some beating.Outstanding value for monies and also good fresh quality food lovingly prepared. Also lots of solo people come in and feel at home relaxed.

One of the worse places I have even been in, This place is really dirty. No wonder theres no "scores on the doors" here Table cloths thread bare and don't seem to have seen a washing machine ever. Table legs have paint flaking away as you sit. Spider webs up al the walls, Place mats with old food stuck to them. I tried to swap mine with another two tables but they were equally as dirty. Tea pots and sugar bowl don’t look like they’ve had a wash maybe a rinse no wash tho. Décor .....has never had a wash repaint or anything since 1960s all pictures faded beyond recognition, Waitress is the most unsociable and ill mannered person I have met. Toilets you have to walk through the area where all the fridge freezers are about past the kitchen door where the greasy food is cooked god knows what the hygiene of the kitchen area is like considering the public area I had to leave as the smell and Bunt grease fat had started to make my eyes water basically I wouldn’t enter this place at al unless you want food poisoning and a week or two off graft to recover and cleanse from this dirty place they name a cafe of searoad In simple terms...... just give it a miss

The food I had was good, plentiful and cheap. However, the heating didn't seem able to cope with the exceptionally cold weather and the table cloth on my table was damp - following an earlier spillage, perhaps?

The coffee taste is awful, the table cloths dirty and the food is the cheapest of ingredients. It was empty when we got there and now I know why. I will never return.

Visited here before walking down the road to the beach front. This is a really wonderful corner-street cafe serving home-cooked meals for around a fiver and has a truly wonderful energy of its own. My friend and I sat across from three old dears who were eating and sharing pots of tea. My friend ate scampi, peas and home-cooked chips and I ate meat, potatoes and vegetables. We both ordered tea. This is a gem of an establishment if you want home-cooked scran in a quite plain but very welcoming setting.

The tablecloth was dirty, threadbare, with holes and tears in it. Place mats had congealed food on them. Sugar basins had grime all round edges. The ledges on the wall woodwork were thick with grease and dirt. It really needs a good deep clean. And this is the public area; heaven knows what it is like behind the counter and in the kitchen. On the plus side the staff were pleasant and the food was reasonable without being anything special.

Lovely little restaurant with great food and service. Great atmosphere. This place could easily expand to a large shop if they wanted. This is the sort of businesses that should be on Sea Road, not those grim takeaways like grill Hut. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ROSE MARY'S CAFE. SEABURN, SUNDERLAND. Small cafe / restorant not easy to find in Google Maps. Simple decoration. Xef, wiht white hair and dressing, even more attentive than madame. Very nice roast beef: just 4.75 PS. Very tasteful apple pie. Good coffee. Milk shake, regular. Kind people. We exchange some little presents: Ligth Stadium brochure, vs Barcelona FC pen. Try it!

Either breakfast or lunch visit. Always very tasty food for a reasonable price. Lots of choice from the menu as well as a daily special dinner. Good portions. Afters if you have room for it include cake or a choice of passing with custard cream or ice cream. Proper food for people to enjoy. A reasonably priced main substantial main meal for pensioners.

Came here a few weeks bak for a mince pie, veg and gravy and it was out of this world. Very traditional but very tasty! I have even had a sunday dinner to take out which was just as amazing and enjoyed in the comfort of my own home. The cafe is stuck in the past in terms of decor however it is very clean and the staff are very friendly!

Very slow. If you're need a drink quickly, don't come here. I would rather have the coffee sooner and have no pretty pattern

Service was poor unfortunately at Gindon Broadway lack luster to say the least . Bought cakes and one that was offered to me had been put in bag for some previous customer ...not good....cakes would have been put on top of my hot take out dish if I hadn't noticed . Disappointed
