A lovely little impromptu find on a wet day. So friendly and helpful choosing our wine tasters. Nice wine selection and games to pass the time. Tasters were excellent value for money. Dog friendly too and the little dog treats were a lovely gesture. Highly recommend. Only wish we could have spent longer there.

As a visitor to the town I came across Pier Red and was made to feel very welcome. The food looked amazing but unfortunately I'd already had lunch at a chain cafe. I wish now that I'd waited. The ladies serving were so friendly and helpful . I felt very at home with a lovely chilled white wine which they recommended. The atmosphere for a Wednesday afternoon was warm and friendly, I should also add the toilet was immaculate.

Came across this really lovely little cafe on Sunday 23rd May, looking for shelter from the rain & a cooked breakfast. The lady gave us a warm welcome and a comfortable seat. The breakfasts was delicious and beautifully cooked (see photos) it's well priced with good quality ingredients. Normally we have a lovely time at Pier Red and the food is delicious. Today we went to this beau venue and I arrived before my husband - ordered a bottle of Prosecco which we do whenever we visit. The table to the side of us had some food delivered to their table. We went to order and were informed only cakes available. We were not informed on arrival that food would be stopped at a certain time nor any notice on the door. If we had of known no food then we would have gone elsewhere and spent our money.. I understand that Joanne you had a meeting on site but you need to respect your customers too. Diane

Audela is an outstanding restaurant in Berwick upon Tweed serving a highly specialist menu that's delivered in a stylish setting by professional staff. I opted to sample several starters instead of opting for one main course and this was a smart thing to do as I was able to sample several of their exquisite dishes all of which set the highest standards. The sauces and flavours created in each dish was superb and of particular note was the salmon and scallops served with an orange sauce which was a taste sensation. The only reason for 3 stars rather than 5 for atmosphere is nothing to do with the restaurant purely that I visited at a very quiet time in early New Year so the place was very quiet but at busier times I'm sure the atmosphere would be buzzing and it would be top rated. Highly recommend a visit. Super talented team and I don't think you can go wrong with their menu, it's outstanding.

Me and my family alongside close friends went to the Cafe, we were met by one horrible old woman, firstly before being served we were told only one person is aloud in to order, then when we sat outside she came out and stated we couldn't sit there as we were ordering drinks for takeout. As you can imagine we walked away without buying anything. I hope people opt for other cafe's in the area as grotbags is horrible to have front of house.

Lovely hot chocolate ...proper stuff, not the sickly usual type. Nice ladies behind the counter. Sane prices. Tasty MalteaserTray Bake. Highly recommended. Ps they roast coffee on site

A lovely tea/coffee shop. Clean, comfy sofas, dog friendly. Lovely cakes and scones all freshly made by the owner. Also lots of tempting scarves, gloves and handbags decorated around the place for you to buy. A delightful place we found by chance on a day trip to Berwick upon Tweed.

Great place with a wonderful view of the river. The hot chocolate was the best tasted in Berwick. The pastries were delicious and the lady who owned the place was extremely friendly. Thank you The Lookout.
