Pre concert meal. Cheerful welcome, nice (if chilled ) pint of guiness, and good not too sweet cider. Longish 20 minutes wait for service but when our order arrived: Mine mussels, plenty of the same and sauce, I'd have preferred more cream, but great value. Again a personal gripe, I'd rather have a couple of chunks of bread than the well cooked and tasty chips. Fellow diner's Moroccan lamb very much enjoyed. Freshly cooked, tasty, satisfying quantity. Sadly no time to try the dessert menu. Looking around, nice atmosphere, couples, friends and a solitary diner. Everyone tucking in. Just over £40, reasonable for what was on offer. We'll be trying the sweet menu on our next outing to Berwick.

My daughter, husband, mother in law and l were there on Monday (14th) for their 2 course lunch. The pate was lovely and fresh with the warm toast and chutney. The potato skins were nice and crispy with garlic mayo. I had the chilli beef nachos with sour cream and cheese which was just the right amount for lunchtime. My hubby and my mother in law both had the fish and chips which was very fresh and a good size My daughter had the burger and fries which was very juicy. I would definitely go back the next time we are in Berwick and also recommend to my friends and family.

Mature couple on day out. October 24. Really nice decor and ambiance..showed to our table by friendly staff member. Started with pint of pale ale for me and Glasson wine for my gorgeous lunch date. Pale ale was a great drink. Wine was OK. Reasonable glass of wine. For lunch I had mussels and chips..some real big mussels. Cream sauce was good as were the chips. Dinner date had fish and chips. Came with rustic chips, mushy peas and a home made tartar sauce. Over comment was 4 out of 5. Batter on the fish was great. Chunky chips may be not so great. Toilets are up the stairs . Stairs need a bit of tlc. Overall we enjoyed our lunch. £51.70 is good value these days.

In Berwick overnight and booked a table for one at this restaurant- what a good decision that was. I had fish and chips which was absolutely delightful. Tasty flakey fish and Chunky chips with mushy peas. I don’t usually eat dessert but fancied something sweet so had the chocolate cheesecake too - it was so nice - not too sweet and light so ideal after fish and chips. The staff were friendly and efficient, service was very quick and my food arrived quickly and was hot too - so often food it lukewarm when it arrives - but not with this level of service. All in all it is a restaurant I am happy to recommend and will visit again if in the area. Thank you Foxtons.

Unlike what another review said there is not a vegan menu, just a few options within the regular one. I had the vegan friendly (labeled VF) burger without cheddar and it wasn’t anything spectacular. I was very pleased with the vegan dark chocolate cheesecake though - it was small but mighty. I would be happy to return for that dessert alone.

Found this place whilst in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Sun was shining so we sat outside as it was really warm inside, but was offered the choice of the garden area as well. We went for the pensioners menu, 2 courses for £13.00. We had soup and chicken liver pate for starters and burger and fish for main. The portions were perfect for us, felt full but not overly so so that was great. The food was delicious and the service was great. Definitely worth a visit.

Positioned well in the centre of town. Looked nice on first look. We ordered from the friendly waitress and had a few drinks while our meal was prepared. I thoroughly enjoyed mine but my wife had a very small portion of chicken and one of the three small pieces was mostly bone. The cost was average and the toilets , upstairs were clean and fresh. Foxtons saved the day for our overnight stay at Berwick upon Tweed. Looked for somewhere to eat that was doggy friendly (as we had our very well behaved Beagle with us on our tour). Plenty of places said there were but when we eventually walked into town from our campsite we found that this wasn’t the case (unless you wanted to sit outside which wasn’t an option with the weather). We were eventually directed to Foxtons and we were so glad when we found them. Great little independent restaurant and bar. Food was excellent (haggis covered beef burger with peppercorn sauce was amazing) beer and wine very good and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Oh and Daisy (our dog) was welcomed with open paws! What could have been an indifferent experience of the town was saved by this wonderful place. Would return again without hesitation (as would Daisy !)

Crispy buttermilk chicken with cajun fries in combination with peanut butter chili sauce - what a taste explosion! Wow, so delicious, tasty, crispy texture, very tender chicken meat, subtle notes of turmeric and cumin, peanut butter not too dominant, pleasant spiciness - perfect! Salad and fries to go with the chicken. Absolutely recommended. Because I was so enjoying myself, I only took photos when almost everything was eaten 😊 The portion was decent, so there was no room for dessert, which is certainly a shame!

It's so unusual to have not one but two great vegan choices for dessert and not just the standard afterthought. I went for the treacle tart and banana ice cream, both of which I haven't ever tried a vegan version of so was delighted to be able to! You would never know this dessert was vegan. I also had the vegan Thai green curry. Although obviously not Thai restaurant standard (which I wasn't expecting it to be) it had fresh ingredients, lovely roasted sweet potato. Also wasn't just out a jar. The garlic bread with it (substituted for the naan to make it vegan) had fresh garlic rubbed on it and was very tasty. Overall a very tasty meal and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. Oh and the wine was lovely... Had to try some what with it being a wine bar and all! Vegan wine options were available.

We visited this lovely restaurant on a recent trip to Eyemouth. We had our 2 small dogs with us and were delighted to find a restaurant that was dog friendly. We were greeted warmly by the staff, shown to our table and the waitress immediately went off to get a blanket for the dogs, a nice touch. My husband, 2 daughters and I had the fillet steak though each of us had different sides and sauces. The steaks were cooked exactly how we liked, med/rare, the sides were lovely as was the peppercorn sauce. The rest of my family chose flavoured butter on their steaks and they were equally delighted with it! We also had an extra side of onion rings which were massive and crispy! I’m not a desert fan but my family had sticky toffee pudding and creme brûlée while I opted for the cheese board, it was massive and could easily feed 2. We all had a lovely time and we have decided to have another couple of days away to Eyemouth next weekend with our oldest daughter and her partner and have booked Foxtons again as I know they will love it as much as we did.

We had an overnight stay in Berwick upon Tweed and chose to have dinner at Foxtons. Having read some of the reviews on Tripadvisor, our expectations weren’t that high, but we thought we would try it anyway. And we were so glad we did! There were seven of us in the party, and every single one of us had nothing but praise for the food. Those who chose the burgers said they were absolutely fabulously tasty, well cooked, and great portions. One said it was the best burger they had had in a long time. One had the lemon sole and cleared their plate saying the flavours were unbelievably delicious and cooked to perfection. The chicken dishes were also praised for their taste and again cooked beautifully. All the food was well presented and served piping hot. We did have a wee bit of a wait but it was well worth it and the staff were excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu, well able to answer any questions we had and were very professional and friendly. Then the whole reason we came was the dark chocolate cheesecake with coconut and peanut butter cream, was just as lovely as last time but didn’t appreciate the fruity sauce drizzled all over the dessert and the plate! All the food was edible but not the usual standard we have had previously at Foxtons so we left really quite disappointed!

Disappointing, the venue and the menu look very promising. Then someone tried to cook what they were offering. Learnt the main chef was not on and sadly you could tell. The funniest moment was the pasta with halloumi. They dumped half a block of halloumi on top. Starter meant to be served with a crispy fried egg, egg was hardly cooked. Steak meal was nice but I’d ordered a whisky jus and received a red wine jus in error. Ask if the main chef is in, if not go for burgers and more simpler dishes.

Visited today was quite poor. Order taken and food came quickly. Went downhill after that. 2 Sunday lunches, beef was brisket cut in thick slices usually Sunday lunch for price (£16.50) consists of thinly cut sirloin pink in the middle . Vegetables were luke warm carrots hard. Altogether a disappointment. Child's meal of pizza and chips was not eaten and overpriced at £8 and did not include ice cream or drink which is usually the norm. Burger meal was just okay nothing special. Staff repeatedly passed our table once we had finished but did not attempt to clear table. We had to ask someone to do this and also request for bill where all staff were hanging about the bar, place wasn't that busy so no excuse for poor service. Initially given the wrong bill which was a lot higher than ours. Obviously we did not order desserts or coffee and went elsewhere. Very disappointed with this restaurant which online purports to be excellent for food and service. Not in our opinion.

I myself went for the lemon sole which was absolutely stunning, beautifully presented and full of flavour, potatos were done to perfection and the sole was just melt in the mouth. We finished things off with the dark chocolate cheese cake to share as we were stuffed, not too rich and just finished things off nicely you would never believe that it’s completely vegan too ! Popped in on the off chance for Sunday lunch and the staff very kindly squeezed us in despite being very busy. My husband and I both had the Sunday lunch, one beef and one belly pork. Both were delicious!

Great service and fantastic menu choice. Waiting staff extremely accommodating (we asked for breakfast just after their cut off time & were delighted they were still prepared to serve that). Food was hot & super tasty using quality local ingredients.

Very disappointed with this visit. I won’t knock the meal we had as it was good. However we ordered bread and butter and received 5 part baked petit pains and what I mean is they were still part baked they sent them raw with no crisp to them no colour they were absolutely disgusting. When we sent them back I asked for them to be taken off the bill to be confronted by staff stating they had all tasted the rolls and said nothing was wrong with them. I stated they were raw but they just got very obnoxious. Hence we won’t be back! They lost 3 paying customers through a batch of raw bread.

Called in Berwick on our way back from Scotland to Sheffield. There wasn’t much open with it being New Year’s Day so it was busy but the lovely host found us a seat. Food was lovely, we had roast dinners and a curry and it was all excellent. Would definitely recommend and thank you for having us!

Drinks are absolutely fab here, so many cocktails to choose from and brilliant value for money. However, the first and last time trying food here was a let down to say the least. Food arrived promptly, although the quality was very poor. My partner ordered the ‘yolo’ pizza which was supposed to have shredded chicken. The chicken was very basic frozen chicken, certainly not shredded. The bacon was fatty and sausage looked uncooked. My katsu chicken pizza was edible, although I wouldn’t have it again. Both the pizzas had far too much cheese, we might as well of ate a block of cheese for our tea! The pizzas we were served were not representative of the Facebook photos. Will be back for drinks but not food! I am not a fussy eater in the slightest either and rarely complain.

The only way I could do that was if you wanted me too I can just do the other way and you can just come over here and get me if you’re not feeling good I.

Popped in today for a quick cappuccino.Have to say service by two obviously bored children quite deplorable. No customer service skills plus staring at customers already sat.Barista obviously not in a good frame of mind as banging all and sundry.Come on Costa buck your ideas !!!

DELICIOUS SUNDAY LUNCH FRIENDLY HELPFUL SERVICE My friend and I visited today. We both had the small portion of Roast Beef which we found more than adequate. Two slices of beef, delicious mash, selection of veg, roasted potato, parsnip and a huge Yorkshire pudding. Small lunch £7.50. Dessert £4.50 Half Shandy £1.90
