My friend and I went for a lunch time meal ,which was lovely, scampi and chips, loads of choices of very good coffee, with free refills. Lovely staff,will return once again xx

Yeah you got cheap drinks, but you also get a dreary hole full of chavs. It looks nothing like the pictures now, there's plastic screens everywhere. The service is terrible, prepare for your drinks to regularly get delivered to the wrong table. On top of all that, the people who frequent the place are how you'd expect, not a lot of charm. Do yourself a favour and avoid the place

The food and staff were great, but the pub itself was grubby. There's a nod to covid restrictions, but they're not followed. I ended up cleaning our table with my mask, which was brown and dirty afterwards. Such a shame, because from the outside it looks lovely.

Usual spoons, don't expect to much apart from cheap food and drinks. Food arrived quickly considering how busy it was.

Arrived on a Monday morning, very busy. Ordered a veggie breakfast. Barely warm. Beans had formed a skin layer. Eggs super fried with crisp bottom and hard yolk. Mushroom so greasy. The veggie sausages just tasted so fatty along with the super deep fried hash browns. Service was ok but didn’t realise it was self serve on the teas until we watched others. Although the venue is lovely, disappointed and wouldn’t go back.

It is a very cheap place to eat and drink with your family. Service is great now,everyone stays at their tables,but social distancing isn't great! Cheap food,cheap drink, but...not for everyone!

Had a lovely meal and drinks, staff made sure all Covid measures where in place. It wasn't busy so plenty of social distancing was going on, staff cleaning all the time.

Absloute joke big groups of teenagers all sitting together 10+ at a table, dirty tables place was a mess

I visited at 5.30pm on 22nd September there were 5 tables in my area which were not sanitised after customers left. There was a lot of laughing and chatting between the young bar staff. I requested to a young female member of staff to sanitise the said tables, she never returned and I left immediately after finishing my meal. I can see this pub being shut down if they don’t buck their ideas up.I for one will not be back.

I'd just driven a long way and to be honest I was lost amongst the many roundabouts so saw this, parked up and went for a drink about 9pm Friday evening. Greeted by a lovely young lass asking for name and phone number who gave me all the details needed for a pleasant drink in side. All Covid rules seem to be taken seriously and they were closing at 10pm.I got chatting with a couple who were friendly asking what I was doing in the NE and thought of it.I ordered drink at the bar and paid for it, it was delivered within a minute or so.Sadly the pub wasn't as busy as I expected it to be on a Friday but let's blame the virus for that.Staff were very nice and the two security staff on the door gave me directions back to my hotel.Well recommended by me

Hi, as a regular of John the clerk I must say that the tables and chairs are in need of attention, I do understand that the use they get is quite considerable but I have heard the comment “ it’s a bit seedy “ used too many times for my liking as I would hate regulars to stop visiting as it’s been a godsend to cramlington !!!

As we were away, made the most of the eat out to help out. Used several times, and sometimes it was very busy but it what you would expect. Sometimes served quickly and once they were a little slow but no complaints about the food service or cleanliness. One of the tidier establishments.

This restaurant has gone downhill after lockdown. Waited at the entrance for 5 minutes no one greeted us so we just walked in went to a table which wasn't even clean. We went to another one which luckily was clean. We ordered two traditional breakfasts, when asked for fresh orange juice they didn't have any. The breakfasts came and the server was quick to leave, when she came back I asked her for some ketchup she looked miserable and advised us they didn't have any. I started with my breakfast and the sausage tasted awful, the bacon has literally no taste and it has the smallest portion of beans. I was just not impressed No fresh orange juice or ketchup?! I felt like going to sainsburys across the road to get it myself. I will not be coming back.

Came in for food with my family a few weeks ago. Quick service and cheap prices which you expect with weatherspoons.

Friday 28 /08/20 Regulars here went for tea friday is fish & chip day. 17.15 No fish left,!!??? How can you run out of fish on a Friday fish and chip day,!!!??

This is my favourite bar 1st time after lockdown was lifted had to stand at entrance and wait to be shown to a clean ready table which was fine next time I arrived no one at door people just walking in, Sorry this is not you want with covid 19 please stick to the rules.

Joanne at the front door was amazing, she explained everything Covid-19 related and even asked guests to back off while we were being spoken to. Friendly not too formal and didn’t feel like we were entering a hospital like most places. If anyone needs a staff drink at the end of the night is her !!!

Been many times as a family so we know what to expect with it being busy that I can understand some of the problems that can come with this.Windy day se hence back door still allowed to be used and with it being windy slams shut right next to people eating. Not weatherspoon fault would like to think public could use common sense here and use the main door but no sadly lacking with a lot drink drinking folk.Result moved tables which resulted in our drinks taking longer as staff got confused (we only moved 2 tables away). Asked for our drinks and they staff claimed they could not find us advised staff have not even gone to the original table, said they were looking for us, son pasta was cold but credit to the manager sorted straight away.Eating food then the most annoying drunk sat next to family next to us, counted 4 times that he was swearing in front of my child and how loud he was, was not allowed by the mrs to approach him totally spoilt family tea time.In a nutshell this is still a good weatherspoon pub, too busy for staff to cope with in honest and too many loud drinkers obviously been out most of the day.Had good times and we will put this one occasion just to a bad day.

Meals are always very quick and quality is typical whetherspoons and reccomended. No music playing here. If you aim for that sort of thing. Whenever I come in here it's always busy. And it's obvious why. Ps. Please stop putting lemons in the glasses. I didn't ask for a stale lemonade. I wanted a water.

Well Ricki one of the Managers has decided to leave for pastures new. Whilst wishing him luck he will be a miss for his work ethic, customer service and unflappabilty. Apart from that he was a decent bloke. Good Luck from Dave and Evelyn.

Here we are again at 17.45 on “Fishy Friday “ and guess what NO FISH!!!! It’s atrocious that they’ve ran out again and the evening hasn’t even started yet! No apologies from the staff just offered scampi instead which is not really an alternative and more expensive!!! Poor poor quality from what is usually a good food joint.

Went for breakfast today with the granddaughter, it’s a lovely pub spoiled by filthy stained seats, you really need to do something about them. I had scrambled eggs which were scrambled too much and really dry the toast was buttered in the middle and had an inch dry bit around it. Her traditional breakfast was perfect and she loved it.

Visited this pub yesterday & the food was hot & good value. The pub needs a redecoration. The stains on the seats & sticky tables are not acceptable. The staff are ok & the lady who cleans the tables is lovely but the younger staff members need to be more courteous & less pouty!!

I would rather have the Curry here than anywhere else in Cramlington. The new addition The NAGA is really hot but doesnt spoil the flavour. I've always found the staff to be hard workers and pleasant. I dont have favourites but when Ross is on I know my drinks will arrive almost immediately when using the app. Bravo Ross.

Would not give my dog the food that’s services in here and the attitude of the staff Abby in particular is a disgrace. Took 20Mins after ordering to tell us no poached eggs however they could do fried ! So I ordered full English !! Omg rubber eggs cold beans and hash browns. Disgusting !!What is wrong with the young people and their disrespect to others. I would not employ those girls to clean my floors !!

We ordered via the app and our meals and drinks were served in good time. Great menu and tasty meals with a good selection of drinks. Staff were pleasant and attentive.

Went here for a couple of drinks before going to Chinese next door. Really buzzing on a Friday night, great atmosphere and extremely good value drinks.

Called here when we visited Cramlington. A modern looking bar, but comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Usual excellent value and choice of drinks etc, and good staff Well worth a visit

We had breakfast here two days running and both times we had the traditional breakfast which was very good and the coffee you could top up as many times you as you required,

We visited with the kids for a few drinks. We are old so cannot work the app but the boys had no problem at all. The drinks came quickly and we had a great night...until they started to tapp us for money. That’s no reflection on the pub itself, just life in general.

I am in the bar right now at 17.50 on a Friday evening which is obviously “Fishy Friday”.....guess what.....no fish when it is on special offer!!!! It’s not the first time this has happened!!!! So I decide I’ll have pizza instead....guess what the pizza oven is broken!!! Well we won’t be back and I used to recommend this place all the time. Very very disappointed

This has to be one of the worst ran Wetherspoons in the area ...tables full of empty glasses and plates ..tables also sticky and staff member was asked on a number of occasions to clean tables by customers (whats that about ?)....there was NO pizzas no burgers and were customers complaining....only plus side food came quick what we ordered....mind you speedy gonzarlez behind the till is a nightmare I stood forever waiting for a pint ...maybe its a good idea for staff to pre-warn customers that there is certain things off menu before you ask then having to go back to family to ask what alternative food they want...in my opinion management in john the clerk need a good shake up

4 of us went on Sunday for a catch up and food. Great atmosphere food and cheap drink especially the gins . Ok its a bit untidy at times mainly because its always bust and big families move the tables. One minor gripe. When I first started using the Order and Pay App there was no delay in the drinks coming, On Sunday it was 10 minutes and had to remind the staff( which I dont like doing). Perhaps Mark you could look into this.

A Typical W, Spoons pub, busy bussling, Vibrant, Good Cheep drinks & food with Daily Specials well worth a try

Absolute pile of poo. Gave me like 5 chips with my wrap and the sweet chilli sauce was clearly watered down as it was damper then a spastics chin. Also there is a hair in my cup of tea , vile , and my lasses pepsi is extremely watered down and tastes like washy up liquid.

We went there for breakfast we end up getting the big full English £5.00 it was absolutely fantastic perfectly cooked and endless coffee 😁😁😁😁

Went to place our breakfast order, not told until entered into the till that the coffee machine was broken and told they only had filter coffee available or hot water for tea. They did not have filter coffee just sachets of nescafe and that was decaff! The breakfast roll ordered was fine however when the scrambled egg on toast arrived it was like no scrambled egg we have ever seen before - I eat scrambled as I don't care for the yolks of egg - the eggs that arrived looked more like chopped up fried eggs and there were big bits of egg white then big bits of egg yolk not a blended mix as expected - we will not be back.

Back here again to try the latest curry menu. Vindaloo option even hotter with Naga Chillies. Tongue tingling taste. Service is still as good as always and staff friendly.

Ordered breakfast on app, order arrived incorrect. Was told by management no way to change this would have to purchase again what was originally ordered. It is a wetherspoons so you know what you're getting. This particular establishment just comes with particularly awful service.

Lovely spoons has a great atmosphere always busy . Meals are spot on never had a bad one yet staff always busy but always pleasant nothings a bother . Deffo recommend even just to call in for a drink .

food was terrible soup was cold had to be sent back twice , one bite out of tuna panini was disgusting , and to finish off stood at the bar for over 5 minutes waiting to be served when a gentleman approached the bar at the opposite end and got served straight away , must have been a few steps to far for the young lass to walk , will not rush back here

Went here on Thursday as an invite from a friend. The furniture was disgusting with staines and we only had a coffee and that was disgusting it's cheap but it not worth the money. It's a long time since I was in this place and no improvement from the last time

As a couple we walked in and the staff were so friendly, we ordered two breakfasts and they were 100%, thank you to all the staff at John the clerk.

Had a lovely meal here with my son the atmosphere was lovely the decor is really nice the food is excellent and good value for money the venue is lovely and clean the staff are ever so nice can't praise it enough highly recommend.

Popped in for breakfast last week at 11.45am with 15 minutes until breakfast was stop being served and it was really busy. The average customer base was of the more mature type I observed with a smattering of younger people. I opted for the large breakfast and an unlimited cup of tea, I was relieved of £6 for this privilege and after only 15 minutes my food was before me. It looked devine and tasted even better. The plate was served hot meaning my sausages and bacon stayed warmer for longer. I casually ate my food observing my surroundings and it was very enjoyable. Even though its a Weatherspoons it was remarkably nicely done out inside and the staff were all friendly especially the dark haired young girl who served me. My only gripe and its a very small one was my fried tomato it looked like it had been barbecued and I didn't even bother to try it. Overall I really enjoyed my 'belly busting breakfast' and I will definitely be back in the not so distant future.......

I visit this place at least once a week and it’s always good. Not fine dining by any means but it’s not trying to be and the food is always cooked well and is very tasty. Also the staff are always friendly and efficient and tables are always cleared very wuivkly despite the place seeming full constantly.

I popped in for a coffee early afternoon. Lots of diners. Hood service & a nice place. Also there week before in eveningbfir acdrinj. Busy but good service. Nice surroundings & the usual Wetherspoon's value.

You can’t fault the value and quality of the breakfast here. The Full English will not disappoint. The staff are quick and very friendly. I also like that you can order through the app and likewise pay for your food. I’ve been a few times and using the app is definitely an advantage and means your food arrives quicker.

Attend mainly for the excellent choice of drink at a good price but to be fair the food is always nice and quickly served. Considering how busy a pub it is the bar service always good.

Just tried the new Naga chilli chicken vindaloo. Fantastic taste but not for the faint hearted. Curry connoisseurs only. Brother had the vegetarian all day brunch. Sister-in-law had the roasted vegetable pizza. All three were very pleased with the food and service.

Went here for a drink when we were in Cramlington at the weekend. A lovely cosy bar with friendly service and a good pint.

Myself, wife and daughter nipped in for lunch, had ultimate burger,chicken burger and ham and cheese panini all with fries and onion rings. chicken burger was a bit bland but panini and burger were very nice, plenty of fries and onion rings and at £18 for the 3 of us including drinks was very reasonable. Bar staff were a bit miserable when I placed my order but waiting staff were happy and intentive.

A few of us from work decided to stop in here for a drink and a meal on the way home and wow we shouldnt have bothered

Not been for a while and pleased to report I am still loving it! I can highly recommend the pizzas - four of us had them with a soft drink - great value and very tasty.

Why do Wetherspoon pubs have to have the blowers on blowing cold air. Radiators are on but It’s freezing in here. Love the staff, all friendly. Good value food and drinks. Looking around most people have their coats on. TURN THE COLD AIR OFF PLEASE

Me and my partner recently visited for breakfast, instantly disappointed.

Like any weatherspoons, service is fast and efficient. The app means you don't need to go to the bar. Xmas menu is good.

Well this must be the best steak I have eaten for a long time. Although pub was busy food didn’t take long to arrive, when it did arrive the food was fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. Very pleased with this Wetherspoons outlet

Ordered the lamb shank which on previous occasions has been fine, but on this occasion the lamb was Luke warm on the outside and cold in the centre the mash was cold and lumpy and the gravy was also cold.When I complained the staff agreed with me and went to get the manager to sort it out. But he promptly came back without the manager and no explanation and went on to say all I can say is sorry.Mmm my fault for ordering it choose something different next time. I wouldn’t have given that to the dog!

We are regulars at this pub! great for a few drinks and get together. However Wetherspoons as we know are not Michelin star restaurants but I do have to say the food is getting absolutely awful! Had a meal a few weeks ago and ordered Aberdeen Angus steak and had to send it back twice as it wasn’t cooked how I liked it at the finish whoever is there chef there now I’m sorry can’t cook! I gave it the benefit of the doubt again last night and had tea out and I’m sorry to say again it was terrible! Sent it back chips were cold the burger not edible! I know it’s cheap and cheerful but the standard has gone right down the fish that my husband and son Iain law got was a scabby thin piece! Come on spoons I know it’s cheap but come on you need better chefs in! Portions have gone down hill! I have to say I’ll not be eating in again!

Quite quick taking orders,meals arrived within ten minutes,good sized and very enjoyable.staff came and asked if everything was ok,and cleared up quite quickly,very enjoyable and lovely and warm on a cold day!

Always the first pub we visit went out, despite being busy at the bar on a Friday night it doesn't take that long to be served due to plenty of staff on duty. Good prices, clean pub, staff polite and efficient what's not to like.

Proper wetherspoons . Good value food and drink. So far (4 days) always got a table. Mandy looked after us most days, very friendly very efficient. But all staff were great. Chef special Saturday (steak) great value. 10/10

The food was good value for the money, but the full bar was very cold, the service at the bar was great very good, thanks to the bar staff.

My wife and I are regulars here are and are rarely disappointed. We both had mixed grill and it was superb .I cant understand why anyone would pay more elsewhere as the quality is top notch. Welcome to Sam by the way. The day was almost spoiled however on the way out when I confronted 2 yobs who exited the emergency door with their pints in their hand and started to cross the road towards Sainsbury, I got the usual lip when I asked them where they were taking the glasses. They must be on CCTV.

Quickly served meals using the app from our table, with the reliable weatherspoons value for money. Like the that they no longer provide plastic straws!

My wife and I decided to go for meal at John The Clerk. As we have been before we nine weeks what to expect. The place is easy accessible and is always busy. We managed to find a table and had a look at the menu. My wife chose a pasta dish and I chose a burger. I also got a free pint with my meal as part of the deal. I went to the bar and ordered our food and drinks and 10 minutes later the food arrived. My burger was served with salad, chips and onion rings, quite a plateful. My wife had a huge plate of pasta which she struggled to finish. We thouroghly enjoyed our food and drinks. The toilets upstairs were lovely and clean with hand dryers that actually work. Staff were efficient and friendly. What more could you ask for?

When they get it right this pub can not be bettered. Crisp batter and succulent fish. Excellent service too . The Order and Pay app is superb.

Our first visit to a new addition to Cramlington. The size of the place is your first impression on entering. A large high-ceilinged room is surrounded with smaller, more intimate smaller offshoot which open on to the main room.

Went in for some food before the cinema. Can’t complain the food is cheap and cheerful and the jack daniels sauce is lovely. Will revisit!

Always enjoy a good drink here and you get what you pay for with the food, no frills tasty grub. I decided to try their new stone baked pizzas as I'd seen them and they looked good! Wasn't disappointed... I had the meat feast and they didn't scrimp on toppings! (proper ham, not processed, chunks of chicken and pepperoni, with tasty dollops of cheese) The meal deal Inc.a drink at a savers price of £9. Was so tasty and filling! Service was quick and all very friendly. Probably one of the nicest pizzas iv had, would recommend and will be trying other choices of toppings next!

Popped in here for an early lunch prior to a Doctors appointment. The food was excellent, served by friendly efficient staff. Will definitely come back.

Only thing was it was very full and lots of tables so felt very crammed in. Would return but maybe not on a Sunday. Visited with a friend for lunch and it was busy with messy tables and a distinct smell of greasy food. We had fish and chips which I must say were very nice. I am not a particular fan of this place but they were very good.

Very friendly atmosphere. good surroundings and you can also sit outside in the sun. Staff very friendly. good value drinks and the food looked lovely although didn't eat there.

Had meal here a couple of years ago the food was cold thought would give it another go went in ordered drinks and meal couple of minutes later food arrived person that brought had sneezed all over it they put the meal down and walked away thought I can't eat that so I took the meals to the bar and told staff what had happened they had told me that it would be OK to eat so I finished my drink and left the staff at this establishment are very unhelpful and I don't think I would go back for another meal

Where else can you get such a good selection of beers and spirits at such a good price. Tbf the food helpings are more consistent than before. The app is excellent for quick service too.

Food was great as usual but a mention for Michael one of the Duty Managers who helped a very frail old man find a table and looked after him til he got settled.Well done.

Me and my partner has just been refused a drink because I was supposedly slurring my words. We have just been for a nice meal and thought we would call in here on the way home. On asking for one larger and a glass prosecco we were refused. On questioning this with the duty manager he simply laughed at us and refused to serve us without giving a valid explanation. He also would not explain what the complaints procedure was and told me to visit the website. I will not be visiting this establishment in the future. Please note I have just written this after leaving the establishment.

I come here quite a bit as our office is just around the corner . Staff are always pleasant , prices are very reasonable and food always comes out rather quickly. My only complaint was the old coffee machine which wasn’t the best but they have upgraded that.

Saturday morning 10am 9th June. Just got to the bar to order my breakfast with Black pudding and tea in front of about 10 cyclists.

My earlier review was not good, because of the level of offensive language present. Today, the atmosphere was a lot better with less background noise, no offensive language and families enjoying themselves. Well done to the management.

My son took my wife and I for lunch, the venue was extremely busy and we had a problem finding a table. Despite being busy our order was quickly delivered, very tasty with excellent service.

I've said it before and say it again when they get it right the fish and chips for the price just cannot be beaten. Fish was perfectly cooked crisp batter and succulent fish. What was even better is that we both got dead ones( sometimes the fish comes out with upturned tail). Great atmosphere and as usual packed yet service was quick. Well done to Mark and the crew.

went here on the 3rd of april to see some friends that came up from university. I arrived at the bar at 21:15 and went up to the bar to order a soft drink as i wasn’t drinking. Got served with no fuss whatsoever, then a waitress comes round at 21:35 asking to see ID i didn’t bring mine and immediately got asked to leave even though i still had a full drink. Then a manager arrived asking me to leave immediately. i asked what the latest time people are allowed to stay until with no ID and he said 21:00.If this is the case on a TUESDAY night they should check everyone’s ID on arrival to avoid people having to down drinks because they need to leave.

really good service from happy friendly staff. Food was good value, good portion size and tasty. would definitely recommend
