As a family of females we booked a bottomless brunch for Mother’s Day at a very reasonable price. A warm welcome and greeting with a glass of Prosecco was just a taster of the exceptional experience to follow! The waiter was very attentive with drink orders being taken frequently and good advice on choices. We all chose 3 small plates from a very comprehensive menu there was something to suit everyone. Wowzer so much food and drink to enjoy. The ambience was fabulous as there was a great singer with a varied song list, he was 1st class. I really can’t stress enough what an amazing value for money, delightful afternoon and Mother’s Day treat this was for us. Thank you Yolo and to the wonderful Emma who delivered what she promised when I first rang with an enquiry! Can’t wait to go back 😘

Very friendly staff. Main course (light lunch) was tasty. Dessert was listed (and ordered) as sticky toffee pudding with lashings of custard, but what they served was syrup sponge, with a light covering of custard. We asked for more custard, which they were happy to provide.

Dropped into YOLO on Saturday night for a drink with my wife & friends, the DJ had the place absolutely bouncing with 80’s & 90’s music. Probably the best night I’ve had in Pont in nearly 20 years. Please bring that DJ back soon.

Had a fantastic time at my friend’s baby shower. Such a great venue, we hired the upstairs private room which was beautifully set out with our own bar. All of the team were super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The buffet food was also all delicious band well presented. Although I have visited yolo in Newcastle a few times, this was my first time visiting Ponteland and I will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for a great event, I can highly recommend.

Visited Yolo’s this afternoon with my niece and her boyfriend… so disappointed with standard of the mojito cocktails. Very expensive for watered down version of the real I ams absolute Rip off… very expensive and not worth the money… The Young bar tender should not be let loose on the bar until he has some serious and intense education on how to make a proper cocktail..

Drinks were a bit lacklustre, seemed very watered down. What was worse was upon entering with my family, which included my autistic brother, the bouncers were incredibly rude and asked what was wrong with him. This ableist attitude is archaic and staff should be educated on those with different needs. My brother has as much right as every other person to be there. He is 18 and wanted to be out with family, but both he, and us, were made to feel unwelcome and unvalued. Do better !!!

Absolutely one of the worst meals I have ever had. Wish I had read the reviews before going here. The food took almost an hour to serve two meals and there was ourself and 2 or 3 people outside. Ordered medium well steak which came completely well done. Steak was left biggest waste of 30 pound. Will say that the waitress was very kind. But the chef needs sacked immediately

Visited this place for the first time. Very good ambience. There is a toilet available. Good food but the day we visited they did not have many items on the menu. Dogs are allowed into the restaurant. Suitable for disabled as well. No onsite parking available.

My youngest son purchased a bottomless brunch for his Gran for her birthday. Lilly who served us during our visit was exemplary and a credit to Yolo for an excellent customer experience. The bubbles flowed effortlessly and the food was superb. Could not fault anything during our visit. Will definitely be returning.

Placed in a seating area near the windows and absolutely freezing. Ordered steak pie and waitress came back to say they had ran out. This was very early evening. Ordered fish and chips also and when it came had to ask for the mushy peas as they were not with it. Ate the meal and left and went somewhere else for dessert.

Staff are lacking in customer service the steak was over cooked the chicken wings advertised were chicken nuggets.. the only thing I could recommend about this place is the cocktail drinks but as for the larger it's served flat. Sitting with coats on as the place is cold must be scared to put the heating on??!! Don't recommend as over priced for what you get.

Even though there was only one other family eating we waited 30 minutes for our two meals. My eggs benedict yolk was hard and I was informed it would take a further 15 minutes to cook again, which I declined. We were given complimentary hot drinks as compensation and the bar staff were helpful. Yolos is a lovely relaxing pub but the same food at Witherspoons is a lot cheaper and cooked better.

Really disappointing. Lovely setting but the service and food were a real let down. Waited over 40 mins for a breakfast that had clearly been sat under a heat lamp for a considerable time when it came. Floors hadn’t been cleaned from the night before and had broken glass and fruit from cocktails under our table. Informed the server that the food wasn’t good and nobody came to apologise or discuss with us, which is the least I’d expect from a manager.

We waited over 45mins for an over cooked & over charged breakfast!!

Drinks here with my other half on a Saturday out in ponteland, lovely staff, drinks were great even if there was a slight wait at the bar…but you don’t mind that when the staff are so lovely and acknowledge you when you’re waiting, 10/10.

This is my fourth bottomless brunch here and it just cannot be beaten! The small plates of food are absolutely stunning! Each time seems better than the last. Every time your Prosecco is finished, it is replaced with a fresh bottle. A real value for money get together! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Friday night had a good DJ bar was over busy, hard to get served. Bar person apologies served in order of customers, 241 on cocktails good value. Establishment looks after female drinkers welfare making it a safe venue. Outside seating area nice to sit outside when sunny, also private room upstairs for functions. Food disappointing. Two pizza for £10 are like the cheapest frozen ones you can buy. Worse I've tried advised ver disappointed. My chicken kebab taste good, but too small for main course. While the wraps tuff as old boots. Salad 🥗 was nice but with very hot chillies so be careful. Extra salad and kebab or rice would have Improved the quality of the dish. Bar More local Largers and better choice of hand pulled real ales/beers. Recommend the wraps if eating or just better off sticking to drinks. Overall nice place to drink and relax.

Visited Yolo today. Food was ok , no complaints. The interior and exterior is very pretty, the decor is nicely done. The toilets were very clean which is always a relief! Parking is a bit difficult. Will defo call again for no other reason than to see Clodagh (our waitress) as she was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her. Will try the breakfast next time as we arrived at 2pm today and just missed out.

My Friend and I had lunch yesterday it was gorgeous. Chicken wrap & wedges for main highly recommend then Nutella calzone which was out of this world. We were served by Clodagh who was very helpful and friendly, nothing was a bother. Would definitely recommend and hopefully you will be served by the lovely Clodagh

Came for bottomless brunch with family and some friends, food was fantastic and very quick. Bottomless plates is a great addition to traditional bottomless brunch. Waitress was polite and friendly, made sure we had everything we needed and regularly checked on us to see if we needed anything else. Both staff members were very sweet and had a big smile on their faces, nice to see!😊 Will be returning soon xx

I very rarely leave reviews unless something is exceptional; wether it be good or badl! I took my parents out for a Fathers Day lunch and the waitress serving went above and beyond to make them feel welcome and to make sure their dinning experience was a pleasant one! They had Burgers and I a Fish Finger Ciabatta which were all very tasty; actually, the burgers were so nice, that I almost ordered myself one after having a taste of one, but that would just be greedy! 🫣😂 Overall, I would recommend YOLO!👌🏻

The interior of this restaurant is modern and stylish and the menu looked promising. However, this was such a disappointing visit. When I ordered (you have to go the bar) I was told there was only I of the items I wanted left. This was early lunchtime! The girl who took the order seemed quite impatient with me ( as if it was my fault I chose something they didn’t have!) so I had to choose an alternative dish quite quickly. When the food arrived, it was really average and nothing better than what you would expect in a school cafeteria, in term of presentation and quality. When we wanted to order dessert a little bit later, we were informed that the kitchen was closed because they had a buffet to cater for. Frankly, I felt we were more of a nuisance than welcomed customers. We won’t return.

Beautiful intimate party space on the balcony, great for medium sized get together. Small bar upstairs too, so don't need to go traipsing downstairs to order drinks. Fantastic cocktails and mocktails, and good lager selection. Party also included food, which was all fantastic - selection of open topped sandwiches, chicken kebabs and goujons, pizzas and wedges. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Really busy cocktail bar, although I don't drink cocktails good selection of wine also. Fantastic music was good to have a dance too even if it is just around the tables. Door staff was professional and friendly will definitely be back.

I booked a booth online for nine people and paid a hefty deposit of £75 . It received my confirmation email but did ring YOLO the day before my arrival to double check the booking was still ok , the member of staff said she couldn’t help but yes, everything will be fine . We arrived to find that the staff could not find my booking , we waited over half a hour for our first round of drinks to be served to then be told our booking had not been sent through from head offices and the chef was not happy . We waited another half hour to then find that the chef was so disgruntled by our appearance that he had walked off shift so we could not have food but we could stay for drinks once they could clear a booth for us . YOLO was not busy yet the service and waiting time for drinks was completely unacceptable. Ebony the deputy manageress could not apologise enough and seemed embarrassed by the whole situation giving us a free round of drinks . Complete disappointment!

Prior to our visit had heard great things. Stylish design and excellent menu. The food was lovely however was let down by the service. We were asked prior to ordering food if we would like starters and mains to come separate. However, main arrived before starter and starter arrived mid-way through eating the main and was then cold by the time we got round to eating. When raising this to the waitress she replied that we had chosen this order and nothing she could do. A further meal then arrived without an ordered extra. We were informed that this was due to an error by the waitress and we would have to pay additional £1.35 for the mistake made by the venue. The food was lovely but we felt the service from initially being served at the bar to the meal being served let down our experience and as a result we only stayed for the one drink. We had planned to spend the afternoon here due to great reviews but unfortunately due to the experience we did not.

YOLO Ponteland is a lovely place to visit with friendly staff and delicious food. I wanted to book a table for 6 for a birthday lunch and was told I had to book a booth with a £75 non refundable deposit. Although everything was fine I was quite worried that, should anyone not be able to join me, I would be paying more than we actually spent. I can understand the requirement for a deposit for an evening booking - to prevent those who choose not to show up - but such a large deposit for a lunch booking seems very high.

Love this place generally,however on 7th August 2021 I felt certain hygiene standard was lacking. My concern was indoor tables were not cleaned after customers left. My table in fact had tea or coffee stain. The other point there was very little soap in dispenser. Please let’s get back to sanitising tables. Let’s now be positive great hardworking friendly staff apart from negative review on tables. My wife and I will continue to support this venue and have always been pleased with service and in so much that we’ve left a tip I think this (the sanitising) is a blip on an otherwise great place

A shout out to jordan, she looked after us making sure we we’re always topped up so nice to see cheerful servers it instantly lightens the atmosphere! Our food was absolutely lovely nothing bad to say, who can complain with two courses for £11.95 and I could eat the sticky popcorn chicken all night and day. The only downside I could see is that my friends who were driving were unsure where to park and this establishment doesn’t offer any, but if you don’t mind a 2 min walk from the leisure centre then there’s absolutely no issue. I will 100% be returning !!
