costa Coffee in Northumberland

Visited Costa and before I left I decided to visit the loo. A member of staff came out of the toilet while I was waiting outside. She hadn’t washed her hands or if she had she didn’t dry them by means of the hand drier (you can hear the drier if it’s used). I suspect due to the time from hearing the toilet flush to the door opening no hand washing was done! The toilets were also dirty.....

Meeting people in Costa coffee no mugs just take away one's due to broken dish washer in this world unexpected happens Costa coffee and all business should have a back up plan for unexpected

Staff friendly and helpful. Been going in for a while now and they remember what I drink which I like. Makes you feel valued. Plus you get points on a Costa card which gets you a free coffee.

The coffee costs a fortune but it is nice to treat yourself now and again. Mum and I tried the costa in Next in Morpeth it was easily accessible via stairs or lift, clean airy and comfortable to the point you could doze in one of the armchairs pretending to read one of the newspapers scattered about. It was so nice to be able to sit and look out of the enormous windows instead of sitting in gloom like other Costas we have visited. What was nice to see a party of ladies sitting around a large table having a good chin wag over a boat full of coffee.The cakes looked wonderful but a tad expensive for our pockets at the time. I am sure we will return in the future.

Visit here on a regular basis. Barristas listen to your requests and 99% of the time coffee is spot on. Only down fall over this place is the toilets need to be maintained as occasionally I've used them and not been very clean apart from that no complaints

I was surprised to find such a generously spaced building as so many Costa's are crammed in. This was nicely furnished and gave the impression of a very relaxed environment where coffee can be enjoyed and the paper or book read in an unhurried fashion without having too close neighbours. Service was very speedy, which is not always the case The downside is that Costa Coffee is in my view not the best of the coffee options these days ....but the location and staff were good and not too many other local options evident at 7.30am ....which probably explains why it was very busy.

Been here a couple of times while on holiday and it's a very nice coffee house. Friendly staff and a nice clean environment. Very nice!

This is a typical Costa Coffee house, Skilled and committed baristas, Great coffee, selection of cakes and snackie type sandwiches.. Only complaint..everything has way too many calories, they could do with some healthy eating salad options..

We went there firstly for a coffee in the morning. It was busy and had the usual wait for two coffees but was worth it. The staff were friendly. This Costa's seems to have a lot of floor space compared with some we have been to. Ideal for wheel chair customers. Got seats straight away. GOOD.Went back in the afternoon for a bite to eat plus a coffee. Exactly the same. So all in all a good experience. The coffee is good too.

Very busy coffee shop, table for two obtained ok. Queued for a good while for order as very busy with take-away and sit in orders. Only appeared to 2-3 staff working so rushed off their feet with counter and clearing tables. Coffee good as was cakes.

The place is quite relaxing, with pleasant staff. There is a selection of coffee available with cakes and toasted sandwiches as well.

Nearly always visit Costa when in Morpeth. The coffee is always good, usually quick service, and friendly staff.

Costa Morpeth staff are very friendly and you can always have a reliably good cup of coffee. Busy but usually seating available.

Lovely service by great staff. Always pleased to help and friendly and quick to respond. Delicious cakes. Varying menu if you fancy something different.

I visited here for lunch with my friend and found the staff very helpful and very friendly The quality of food and coffee was good and what I expected from Costa coffee The cafe was clean and tidy and the staff were constantly busy making sure it stayed that way If you're familiar with visiting Costa Coffee then you won't be disappointed !!

Spacious but busy Costa on the main street. Visited twice. Different staff but friendly and pleasant on both occasions.

I have been twice in 2 days. Firstly a green tea at book club, nicely served-' tea pig' alongside the pot to control your own strength.Then again today after an aborted trip to Rutherfords where the service was no existent. Matt the server in Costa was friendly, efficient and offered to use my accumulated points. Clean, tidy and great range of cakes.They achieve the feel of a more individual cafe than a chain might.

Lovely coffee shop with the best atmosphere in a "Chain Coffee Shop" we have been in. The coffee was so good I had to put pen to paper so to speak.

Lovely little place, big chain coffee shop so not the cheapest, it's always really busy whenever I've been and can never get a seat but the staff are alright could be happier. The decor is nice and so is the food etc

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, queues out the door . Lots of groups of teenage kids taking up tables with one drink between 9 of them ! My coffee was cold by the time I was served it and sitting down. Staff run off their feet but only one machine and one till Ibeing used.Shame it's such a popular costa they need more facilities to turn the queue round fast.

I have visited this coffee shop today it's over a couple of weeks since I was in and the disabled loo is still out of order. There is still a shortage of the tables bring cleared. Coffee and food always good but a little TLC could not come a miss. You are spoiling this shop by this standard.

Been here a few time when visiting Morpeth and do like Costa but I feel in some of their cafes they look ok on the outside but once you get in the place looks dated and hammered! Nothing wrong with the food or coffee but some money needs to be spent to bring the cafes up to date I think.

i recently visited costa on Thursday 23rd April at 5.20pm staff started to clear chairs and section off areas to "Clean" we went into costa to sit on a comfy sofa and have a coffee.. we were told to sit at the side if you want as this areas shut... costa don't close at 5.30pm? - is this so Staff can get away early.. few people came in then left as there was no-where to sit and the noise was loud, lots of people talking in a condensed area! The other thing is the toilets are quite grubby and small to move around in.

This is my favourite coffee. There is always a good crowd in this coffee shop. It's not just morpeth but all the cost as they are never in a hurry to clear the tables. The second thing that that drives me mad is the businesses having meeting it not the coffee they drink. Coming out for coffee should be a pleasure

It is always a pleasure to stop at this Costas because the staff are always extremely friendly and welcoming. One expects the usual 'Costas standards' of food and coffee and these are maintained here. Unlike some crowded coffee houses, this one is spacious and airy and one doesn't feel cramped by neighbouring tables. It is perfectly located in the heart of the main shopping street in town and in my opinion, one of the best coffee shops here.
