Absolute gem, lots of very attractive (price and appearance) items, including some nice arts and crafts chairs and tables. Why would anyone buy new furniture from Barker and Stonehouse when for less cash you can have chairs that have timeless class, and will last and last?

Been a frequent visitor to this place and spent quite a bit of money buying over priced items that I liked, I alway gave old smiler the benefit of doubt not anymore though, owner / host is most ignorant person I have ever met, stuck up and not very welcoming at all, if he wasn’t so elderly I would have reminded him of his poor attitude but I was brought up better so left without saying a word. Makes you wonder why such a horrible person would want to deal with the public when he clearly loathes the paying customers, all very strange

Was saddened to see how shabby and run down The Old Dairy looked on our arrival. Most of the little individual units have gone. The beautiful cafe area is gone. We travelled from East Lothian to visit, as we used to be regular visitors and it was always a wonderful day out. Sadly I wouldn't waste my petrol to go here now. Not sure if they are winding down the business or what- but its not what it was. Its very rundown inside and out with no atmosphere.

Well, we were advised to come here and it's certainly worth popping in if you are in the village - not sure I'd make a special journey to visit. The antiques/bric-a-brac are worth a browse with quite a few inset outlets set up in the stable loose boxes along with more (larger) items the main area. So, as for the champagne, well it is certainly available and the views from the raised wooden benches are impressive but this place is an eclectic blend of themes. Going there for champagne wouldn't have been my first thought, though I'm sure some will!

Visited the old diary and immediately was made to feel unwelcome and more of a hindrance as opposed to a customer. No welcome, no smile but was instead subjected to a look of disgust. I was wearing a face covering even though the staff were not. I have purchased from here on previous visits but after today’s visit I will most definitely not be returning. I will spend my money in a place that values and acknowledges their customers in a more positive way.

We stumbled upon this antique store whilst visiting Ford in July and although we had not made an appointment the gentleman running the store was very welcoming and allowed us to enter. This self-proclaimed 'concept store' gave a less than friendly welcome. By appointment only apparently, although there's no indication on the entrance. (A later look found this procedure on the website.) However the owner's manner felt very unwelcoming, despite the place being empty. My parents had visited shortly before without an appointment and been welcomed in, so his excuse about appointments clearly doesn't extend to those he might think are more likely to spend, perhaps. A pretentious but scruffy place that we won't be returning to, appointment or otherwise. There are plenty of other nicer antique shops in the area.

My mother recommended The old Dairy after seeing it on one of her Antique programs so we were in the area so thought why not . The cafe has a very old antique, rustic kind of a Mrs Doubtfire feel about it but that’s what makes it unique. The young gentleman that was serving was very polite and very attentive and the older gentleman with the grey hair was truly amazing, my husband asked if we could take him home he thought he was fab lol . I’ve never been anywhere like it and been looked after as well . The cakes omg are fabulous all homemade not shop bought and the milkshakes are Lovley. We visited the antique shop at the back which was very interesting and whilst there we spotted a champagne bar outside which overlooks the fields and cows , I would love to try this one day it looks so nice . Would I go back definitely yes .

The conversations to be had in the cafe/dairy giving great insights into the place itself and how it came about. Anyone who visits the Old Dairy for the first time will discover a truly unique place. Not only can you shop for interesting wares in the Antique barn, but you can also enjoy home baked goods and award winning preserves as well as lunches in the dining room, the Summer House, or in the garden enjoying splendid views over the Cheviots. If you live locally, or if you're visiting the area for more than the day, don't miss The Supper Club events that transform the dining room to a top class restaurant where a notable visiting chef prepares amazing food for the guests. It was after a few such suppers that we decided to have a private event at the Old Diary to celebrate a special birthday. Our guests came from near and far, and we couldn't be more pleased with the evening. Keith and Lynn Allen, the owners and hosts at the Old Dairy, together with their very able team, including the amazing visiting chef Pip Wallen-Priestley, made the evening an unqualified success! Stumbled accross The Old Dairy while visiting the area. Looks very unassuming from outside but it is so interesting once you venture in. We popped in for a cup of tea but my husband was drawn to the soup once he had a look at what was on offer on the very varied menu. It was fabulous. I had a delicious cheese scone and a lovely cup of tea. The room is open plan and we watched the chef preparing his food. We also met the owner who was extremely welcoming and told us all about the special dinner nights that are held. As locals to the Ford area, wehave been visiting the dairy since it opened, and have enjoyed many an evening at the Parlour Supper events too (sadly not recently as they’ve been mid-week recently which conflicts with work travel). That said, a weekend visit for coffee or lunch is always rewarding. The coffee here is wonderful, the home baking equally so. The Old Dairy is not a Costa or a Starbucks (thank goodness) - I for one am happy to spend a little more to support local enterprise - and to have a real cup of coffee in interesting surroundings with amazing views, without the distractions of a noisy chain coffee shop. We look forward to visiting again soon.

As you walk into this place you are lost for words. It is really charming and very quirky. There’s so much to look at, it is a delight just sitting in there. We had picked up a leaflet for this place so made a diversion on our way back to Bamburgh from Berwick. Described as a concept store with bistro and champagne bar we were intrigued. When we got here we thought we were in the wrong place! We found the antiques barn, which was dark and cluttered. We passed an interesting 15 minutes or so looking around. The entrance to the cafe was not at all inviting and, having seen the surroundings, were not encouraged to enter. Some effort needs to be spent on making the outside more attractive and welcoming so that the reality is closer to the impression created by the website and promotional material.

The weather was glorious and were offered a lovely seat outside with a fantastic view over the countryside, the owners were very friendly and helpful, we ordered the crepes and bacon with maple syrup and it was delicious. The only criticism (and I am nitpicking) I would have is that the coffee could have been in a bigger cup, but it was an old dairy and the cups were little old fashioned cups which went with the place itself so we just ordered another one. Visited here last Friday and was very disappointed. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 children. We were not offered a menu and were pointed to a cabinet with some scones & a few cakes in which seemed to be all that was on offer. Several of us asked for fruit scones which we were advised they had, but we were served plain scones which for the price were really very small. My husband had a cheese scone which was a decent size and he did enjoy. The coffee's were I would describe as warm certainly not hot. The gentleman serving us was very keen to sell us drinks with alcohol and signage at the entrance also described it as a Champagne bar, bistro. I am really sorry but personally I would describe it as an antique shop/barn, door salvage place. The owners have tried to incorporate several other entities to draw people in to sell their antiques but I am afraid on our personal experience was not successful .It was pretty obvious that they do not tolerate children easily and I would not describe it as not easily accessible for anyone disabled and not suitable at all for anyone in a wheelchair.

We had seen The Old Dairy on several BBC antiques programmes and when we found ourselves in the area decided to visit it. What a huge disappointment. We arrived in time for mid morning refreshments and the owner finally condescended to serve us after taking our order twice - a mug of hot chocolate and a pot of tea for one. Total cost £6.05. At least the tea was hot but the chocolate was neither hot or very chocolatey despite supposedly having some fancy chocolate added. We decided not to have a cake or a scone because of the outrageous price charged. We were similarly disappointed with the antiques on offer in the barn. Many of the goods are not antique and are over priced and the whole place, inside and out, looks quite scruffy. Not recommended.

Love having a mooch around the antique shops at the old dairy and as it is a half hour drive away would always like to round my trip off with a visit to the cafe! It is amazingly inviting with fabulously eclectic decor- but unless I am feeling really rich or self indulgent I give it a wide berth! I certainly would not dare let my husband see what they charge for a tiny cup of coffee-it actually makes motorway service stations look cheap,at least you get a decent sized cup. The scones and soup etc are very good and homemade but again very pricey. I can't help feeling that their meaness to customers is self-defeating, they have a willing captive audience would really cost them so much more to give a decent sized portion or a free refill? I am sure it would more than pay off with increased custom!

Having been here once before we recommended the cheese scones to our friends and they were once again 'to die for'. This place is so quirky with the antiques/reclamation yard there's always something to talk about!!! We would recommend to all and will definitely be visiting again!!!

Bought some beautifully grown bedding plants for a reasonable price. The hanging baskets were stunning. Very tempted.

Large chain, standard menu offerings, busy, noisy setting, but good sea views, nice outside area. Food came quickly once managed to order at the busy bar. Burger sauce was the best item. Small burger Pattie, creamy coleslaw, hubby had monkfish scampi, bit over battered. Both sets of chips under cooked, when we were asked how our meal was, our reply was just received with blank stare and no response before waiter cleared our plates and left! Buffet breakfast the following morning as we expected! Basic sausages, overcooked black pudding, the bacon, mushrooms and hash browns ok, had run out of baked beans, but at least you could order different eggs if didn’t fancy fried.

Cool bar with friendly clientele. Staff are smiley and attentive. Love the skiing theme and the Brewdog beer. Great having the ski videos on the big screen aswell. Just a thought, have you thought about showing the live skiing on Eurosport/Discovery+?

It was ok but nothing to push the boat out for. My daughter wanted chicken tikka panini but apparently had no tikka, I asked for a sandwich on brown bread cake but they had no brown bread cakes left. Really?? And this was only just after noon. Nothing special about the ham sandwich which all in all tasted bland. The dog ate most of it.
