There’s absolutely nothing in the toddler section of the play area! There was much older children literally bouncing off the walls in said toddler area with no parents watching them and correcting the behaviour nor the staff

Lovely evening meal. Jenny the manager made sure we had everything we needed without any fuss. Fantastic hospitality. We will be back. Recommend the smothered chicken and the smothered platter, delicious.

Went for a family lunch with my partner and our children. Reserved a table which was ready when we arrived, the pub was a little quieter than I expected but this was probably due to no live sport being show on tv. Ordering the food was nice and easy and food arrived fairly quickly. The kids 3 course meals for £5.99 was great value for money. My 2 kids both ordered steak and unfortunately they were a little under cooked for their taste, however when we told the server rather than take the steaks away and recoil them like most pubs would do 2 full fresh meals were served to replace them! Can’t fault the food or the staff who were very polite and professional, the only thing that lets the pub down is some of its clientele, one family made such a mess they left on a hurry and didn’t even finish their drinks, and pair of males used lots of foul language in the family dining area. Not the pubs fault though. Will definitely come back again

We visited for an overnight stay at the premier inn so visited here for dinner and breakfast the following morning. Both times we were greeted and served by Sharn who greeted us warmly and served us with a smile. Even though she was evidentially rushed off her feet she did not make you feel that she did not have the time. The food was lovely and reasonably priced but I think with any establishment these days it’s the staff who make it an enjoyable experience and Sharn definitely did that. Thank-you

Came for breakfast this morning, food was great and lots to chose from. Service was lovely from the girls sam, jenny & sian.

Breakfast was great, lots of choice and the staff were continuously restocking the food items. We were welcomed in and the manager Paul made lots of effort with our children . All staff were friendly and the service was fast. We will defo be back .

Myself, my daughter and our friend went for lunch on Saturday 30th march- the pub was lovely and clean with a beautiful view of the lake. We were served by reece who was friendly, helpful and polite. The meals we had were beautiful and good va.ue for money. We enjoyed it so much we decided we were going to come the next day for Sunday lunch, we spoke to jenny who went out of her way to fetch us menus as my daughter is vegetarian, she booked our table for the next day with efficiency and was just lovely. We came the next day and were seated at the table of our choice and were served by sian who greeted us with a big smile. We asked her about veggie choices and she checked on ingredients as I have allergies and nothing was too much for her, she was really lovely and friendly and made the last day of our stay nearby great. Would highly recommend this pub as they know how to do hospitality exceptionally well. Next time we're in the area we'll be in for lunch!

Excellent service from the lovely girl Jenny. Although it was busy food was served promptly and very hot. We ordered Crème egg sundaes for dessert and they were delicious 😋

Amazing customer service from the whole team here, especially Cameron the restaurant manager that made our visit a happy one, what a fine gentleman! We’ll definitely be back.

Soon as I came through the door I felt welcomed especially by the young lad behind the bar Cameron had us seated straight away and the breakfast was Great.

Met a friend for breakfast amazing value for money, lots of selection on drinks and lots of fresh breakfast items. Would recommend and look forward to returning. All the staff I seen were very nice and pleasant.

Food was absolutely revolting. We were a table of 6 two being young children and not one of us ate our food. The carvery’s were disgusting, powdered mash burnt roasties and old veg! My daughter’s veggie sticks were dry and old like they’d be sat for days and the spaghetti bolognaise was a microwave meal!! My husbands eggs were still raw and they forgot his sauce for his steak. Staff were not very helpful with the odd exception and not a smile between them. NEVER again! By far the worst places we have ever been for food.

We wanted just traditional food and got it. Gammon, eggs, peas and chips and at times that is what you fancy. The staff were pleasant and the food was hot. The atmosphere was quiet, because it was a Monday afternoon. The restaurant was warm, which was good for February and made it comfortable.

The food was okay but I had to wait almost 45 minutes for it to arrive, while the other people I attended the restaurant with got a carvery and had already finished it by the time the food had arrived. Same happened with desert.

Food was awful. Chips cold and greasy. Inedible. I told the waitress and she just said " really?". Still got charged full price. Won't go again.

Fabulous friendly staff, nothing is a bother, and the manager is a very hardworking head of house. The staff are exceptional , so friendly and also very efficient and excellent at their job. Food is lovely and tastie and good value for money. We go atleast once a week. Thank you to you all.

Kids loved it and they sell beer

Booked on time via internet, we arrived 5 minutes before this time. Some tables had to be moved in the system before they had a good table for us (3 adults, 2 children). Very kind waitress came to take our drinks, which were delivered quickly. The order of our food was taken straight away. for which we had to wait almost 50 minutes. Which actually wasn't worth the wait. The Mexican chicken burger was so burnt by the grill that was all I could taste. The rest had no taste, bland! The Fish pie was not much better, lots of (wet) mashed potatoes with little flavor, oh and 4 pieces of what was supposed to look like fish. Desserts were served quickly. It's a shame that this mega Pup/Restaurant serves such poor food. We were not the only ones that evening who waited so long for their food.

Fantastic family friendly place and reasonably priced with a warm atmosphere. Grace who served us and made us feel very welcome. She is a credit to the establishment. Will be back again.

Lovely staff and service good value meals

Third time I've sworn never to go back here. Kids however were hungry and as my son was paying I thought nothing to lose. 3 adults & 3 children. Total bill £ 102.54 which would have been paid happily had most of the food not gone back as inedible. Garlic mushrooms were like cricket balls. Steak much the same. Burger was tasty which was good as were chips. Lasagne very poor. All 3 kids left there's which is very unusual especially as they were hungry. But I appreciate kids can be finicky. How're the service really was poor even tho all staff were cheerful & polite. We almost lost the will to live during the waiting times. As a child friendly restaurant they should know that waiting an hour for food is not acceptable & that was between starter & main. Sweet was another story with me twice having to ask as we needed to go. Second complaint on which I was going to cancel as we really needed to go sweets appeared so we felt obliged to quickly eat. Overall the experience will definitely be one I will not repeat or recommend to others. I might add it gives me no pleasure to write this. 😞

We visited for the first time yesterday. We were left seriously disappointed with the quality of the food. My child’s meal - mash and sausage - had three hairs in. The sausages were so hard we were barely able to cut them. The peas looked like they’d seen much better days. I ordered chicken katsu curry. There was so little sauce it barely sufficed for one chicken strip. The plate was full of chili peppers and dead parsley. It was a really sad meal. My partner had a burger with fries. The fries were nearly stale. The entire experience at your place was below average and we were left shocked at how bad the food was.

Went for breakfast today, 09.45 there was very limited food ready then had to wait for some of the foods to come out, some of the breafast foods didnt come out at all What a shame as breakfast is normally nice

Arrived at 4ish as a party of 12 to an empty restaurant, placed our order before any other big parties arrived at their tables however it took 1.5 hrs for our mains to arrive. Chips looked like they had been cooked 3 days prior, chicken on mixed grill was so overcooked it was powdery, £13 pound double stack burgers werent even as big as a big mac from mcdonalds..... no apology for time waited just kept getting fobbed off.....5 more minutes. A family outing to celebrate the loss of a loved one ruined!!!!

Absolutely Terrible service, disorganised very very slow service, cold food. Some of our party had to change there starters as there pre ordered ( weeks earlier ) starters were not available.

Never again. Had table booked for 5.30 drinks took 30mins to arrive and food 1hr later (7pm.) Half of the food we requested were sold out (turkey dinner) If the kids were not so hungry we would of walked out. It's often the staff that make a place. And, despite being busy, they managed to get us a table. The food is exactly what you would expect. And it was nice.

Feel sorry for the staff as clearly understaffed. They did as well as they could but clearly stressed, which passes on to the customers. Had to wait over 10 minutes just to see if a table was free. I had friends staying here and we decided to eat here after they'd spent a long day travelling. The food was terrible. I had smothered chicken and it was NOT smothered. It was dry and the chips were luke warm. There were screaming children running around the restaurant which I appreciate isn't the pub's fault but you couldn't hear yourself think. The staff were pleasant and drinks were reasonable. I would not eat here again.

We went for breakfast today, the mushrooms were dry the bacon and eggs were cold. The guy serving us was trying to push what food was left. He did replace some of the food, infact the only thing I found a little bit appetising was the 2 hash browns. We won't be back again.

Seated fairly quickly. Service was slow. We ordered 1 starter and 2 mains. There was over a 35 minute wait between the starter and the mains. Food was average. I don’t recommend this place and I don’t plan to return.

What a disgrace these staff are. Rude waitress, rude bar staff and kitchen staff that clearly don’t wear hairnets with the state of my food. Waited over an hour for food, asked a waitress “how long for food please?” She walks off saying “well it’s not busy” (small blonde hair, let’s say a plump person. Clearly an attitude problem) finally food arrives, hair on my eggs (yolk busted btw, pathetic excuse of a “chef”). Let’s summary, rude staff, literally worse food than the local sandwich shop, the numpty’s on the bar clearly don’t know why different drinks have different shaped glasses because they’ll throw you anything in a coors glass. “Well it’s not busy” so what’s the excuse to not have clean glasses for the correct drink? 2 average things about this place, young waitress with braids, very polite and helpful. Young lad (guessing manager) tried to sort the problem. (Free drink for the wait, which he offered I never asked) Offered to make any food I wanted as replacement (was apprehensive after nitty nora in the kitchen scratched there scalp on my eggs) but I gave it a go. Let’s just say not worth it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Starve before you eat at this place.

Amazing buffet breakfast. £9.99 for me and my 2 children to eat and drink, they loved going back and forth for Pancakes, chocolate spread and apple juice. Food was so nice and replenished quick. We will be back.

Food takes a long time to arrive, we had kids with us and it was a stretch. When the food did arrive it was good enough, warm, nothing special to be honest. The servers were lovely. Quick at getting drinks and very accommodating to our larger group.

Walking round the lake at Woodhorn we decided to call in for coffee and cake. No cakes unfortunately but we ordered a dessert from the menu. Thirty five minutes later with coffee drunk we asked for the order to be cancelled. First the excuse was lunch only starts at 12 then that wasn’t right the kitchen was too busy. We stopped going to Woodhorn Grange although we live local because of the long wait for food.Needless to say we won’t be back.
