As a visitor to the town I came across Pier Red and was made to feel very welcome. The food looked amazing but unfortunately I'd already had lunch at a chain cafe. I wish now that I'd waited. The ladies serving were so friendly and helpful . I felt very at home with a lovely chilled white wine which they recommended. The atmosphere for a Wednesday afternoon was warm and friendly, I should also add the toilet was immaculate.

Open from 10am offering freshly ground coffees artisan scones and a beautiful selection of homemade cakes & tray bakes it’s the perfect way to start the day. Fully licensed enjoy a tapas lunch or something from their regular menu. Evenings normally have a themed inspired menu and pre-booking is a must . Very relaxed environment dog friendly. We popped into Berwick upon Tweed while driving south on the A1, and happened on the Pier Red by chance. We are so glad we did as it was excellent. The place is spotless and they have created a lovely, warm and friendly atmosphere. Service was very good and although the lunch menu has only about half a dozen or so choices, there is good range of options. My wife loved the stovies, and I went for the salmon paté which was fantastic. A really lovely café. We'll certainly go back next time we're in Berwick.

The postal address had a Morpeth post town, even though it is close to Amble. Finding it with the aid of a satnav was essential. A lovely sunny day and the field out front was very busy. All sorts were there, a food concession was selling pizza. The beer was varied, but great. Just a pity i was driving, no carry out bright beer is available. Only in cans. Such a shame, would have loved to taken away some of their heavier beer approx 6% ABV Staff were friendly and the interior accommodation was good.

Me and the wife visited here for a full English breakfast , and I must say it’s one of the best I’ve had , food very fresh and hot , caramel latte best ever, and the staff very friendly . Highly recommend, free car park at the rear.

This place is a totally fantastic! Do not miss out on the 'Kipper in a Bun'. I wavered, and thought to maybe have a 'Banger in a Bun' although was so glad I went with the Kipper. Perfectly cooked Kippers, Lemon mayonnaise, in a soft white roll eaten on the beach was just divine. Wife's comments were 'That was Lush!'. Great friendly service and all locally sourced delicious produce. Even the coffee was from Holly Island! All in a free car park!
