I treated my friend for her birthday to tea here. Absolutely amazing, delicious home made cakes, scones and sandwiches. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming and well worth a return visit.

Lovely evening meal with family enjoyed by all. The food was excellent and the service was timely. i would thoroughly recommend.

Wow, a little gem, you really have to go here if you're nearby or you could just go out of your way! You have to give this place a try, you won't be disappointed

Un poco decepcionante teniendo en cuenta todas las críticas de 5 *. Aunque el lugar es agradable, WiFi gratuito y descuento para estudiantes, la calidad de la comida les decepcionó gravemente. Sin embargo, me gustaría mencionar que el personal era amable, pero ninguno revisó la comida o nos preguntó cómo era. Había pedido 3 por £ 15 con hummus de pimienta, falafels y bocados de hachís marrón. Huelga decir que me dieron marrones de hachís crudos, el humus de pimienta se extendió por la masa madre, lo que lo hizo un poco descuidado. Supuse que habría llegado como masa madre del lado del hummus. Lo intenté en todas partes una vez, y tristemente en esta ocasión fue realmente decepcionante.

Where are here again! The best Glamping in England. We love coming here and always made to feel welcome. It was Tapas night in Cheesedale cafe tonight, which was amazing as always. Sarah made me one of her awesome Espresso Martinis (wasn’t on the menu, but they know I like them😁), which was perfect. Food was spot on and service was great. Couldn’t manage their homemade Biscoff Cheesecake (so got a couple of slices in a takeout box). Thanks Allison and Jonathan for a superb weekend (and for the hugs). Had the most amazing festive afternoon tea here with friends. Everything was delicious & a party member with coeliac disease was well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. I believe that everything was made with love....sign of the best establishmets.

Lovely milkshake and coffee perfect from one fussy coffee drinker. Lovely staff always friendly and asking if you need help. 5 out of 5 stars.

My husband and I visited for the first time last week. We were warmly greeted by Vanessa, Despite the restaurant being busy and we hadn't booked she managed to find a table for us. The atmosphere is great, there's a very well stocked bar and the food both sweet and savoury looked delicious. We had a refreshing cup of tea and a really tasty cheese and onion toasty as well as a portion of the delicious chips. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Vanessa made us very welcome and by the time we left we felt like old friends! She' an asset to the place. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely Brunch Today !! Avocado and Poached Eggs on Sourdough ! Eggs were cooked perfectly and presentation was lovely !

Quite noisy and couldn't concentrate when I volunteered here and it got too much but staff are friendly.

I visited with my wife who has Coeliac Disease. We have been here on a number of previous occasions when there was gluten free cake and biscuits available. The coffee is lovely, however when we visited at 15:00 on a Tuesday, there was a very limited choice of cake and no gluten free options at all. Staff seemed indifferent and started turning off the lights and clearing up at 15:40 despite the advertised closing time of 16:00.

Un pequeño café encantador. Vinimos aquí esta mañana de camino a casa después de nuestras vacaciones. El desayuno inglés completo sabía increíble hecho con artículos de calidad. El tocino era agradable y espeso. Las salchichas estaban sabrosas y los huevos amigos estaban dippy tal como me gustan. Buen precio y el servicio era genial también. Muy recomendable.

Found this cafe a couple of weeks ago and I have already been 3 times. Food quality is excellent and always great service.

Friend and I enjoyed a fantastic brunch not for the first tile either this place ir spotlessly clean, nice menu, friendly helpful staf at fair prices 5 star breaky all the way try it ??

Lovely candlelit afternoon tea on a very cold snowy Sunday. Homemade cakes, sandwiches, scones & trifle and a warm welcome by the lady running the tearoom. A bit of a walk from the centre of Durham in the snow for two visiting ladies, but worth the trek. You do need to pre-book.
