I made the decision to ask the cafe to create a personalised wedding cake for me and my wife; and what a great decision it was. The cake was truly special, and we both could not be any happier with the outcome. The cake was absolutely lovely, there was plenty of options to choose from for the cake and the cafe took all of our requests on board and created an amazing piece of work. Which turned out perfect for us. In future I will recommend this cafe to anyone. I would like to send my thanks to all the staff for our amazing cake and making our wedding period even more special. Thanks again ❤

Stopped here for lunch on the way to a meeting and really did enjoy my stop. Very friendly clean and tidy with a relaxed atmosphere. Good seating in comfy surrounds and a very comprehensive good value for money offer. The staff were lovely as was the food, a delicious salad and flan superb.

A nice little tea room. Friendly staff. Not too large a menu choice. Can get a little cramped as the owners have tried to pack in as many tables as they can.

We are a local business who phone and order coffees, cakes, salads, toasties and sandwiches from KJ's Coffee Shot on a regular basis. We provide hospitality for many of our corporate clients, and they all LOVE the speciality coffees and home baked goods from here

My school liaised with KJs to put up a display of artwork for a town celebration. Nothing was a bother to them, I had a cappuccino whilst installing the artwork, although I didn't eat ,everything looked delicious and my coffee was divine. Moreover, it was the friendly attitude of the owner and staff.

Always a warm welcome whether it is your first or twenty first visit. Run by a Mother and Daughter team, KJ`s has no pretence of anything other than what it is, a great place to have a coffee and snack with friends or family. The home made sponge cakes are lovely and light, scones baked fresh each morning, indulgent cheesecake and a great range of savoury pies and slices. There are other places opened up in town but none match KJs for value or quality

Although small, KJ's is a friendly cafe. There's seating for about 12 people set out in tables of two (but I know people have moved furniture around before if it isn't busy) and there's a downstairs toilet suitable for men, women and those who are disabled. To access the shop there are a few stairs but also a ramp so it is accessible (my mam uses the ramp and finds it fine). The two main staff are so friendly and their occasional waitress is okay but did need reminding once about serving food when dealing with food for me (coeliac's disease), however this has never been an issue any of the other multitude of times I've visited. I don't live far away and frequently call in for a takeaway coffee but have eaten in there many times too. The food is simple and cooked well - such as jacket potates, a range of breakfast items, sandwiches (hot and cold), paninis, soup, scones, cakes, pies etc. There is always a gluten free option and the owner looks after me well and will point out cakes etc I can have. Now, the cakes; they are wonderful. When eating, the food isn't labelled gluten free but if you ask they will tell you what bread they have in stock so if you want a hot beef sandwich, for example, you will know what you can have with it. Same goes for the cakes, quiches and pies - just ask and it will be there. Good price and child friendly in the food and drinks options (down to little muffins/biscuits). There are also shop bought chocolates in there. Something for everyone. Their Facebook page lists their opening times as well.
