Went to this pub around 21.30 and was fairly quiet but very friendly staff and had a nice chilled vibe. Our only negative was after 1 drink we tried to order another at 22.20 and was told we’re not serving anymore. Was no last orders called prior so left feeling a little disappointed but would definitely return in the future.

Had the BEST lamb samosa and a cheese bagel with chilli sauce, super cheap!

Usually good, but lately they forget to cook the beef. Raw meat disgusts me. For £10.90 I would like cooked meat.

I found it quite chaotic and the prices were not clear in advance. The lunch deal with sandwiches was not indicated under sandwiches. Otherwise I would have taken that. Very good choice. And the shortbread is delicious! Please note: sit after the security check. Access only with a ticket for a tour or visit to the parliament building

The great gentleman sitting outside who got help and for the lady who got me an Uber. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning. The hospital confirmed it. It is still a lovely pub and amazing staff. I would definitely go back. The macaroni and cheese was lovely 😍 but I became unwell as soon as i ate half of my sandwich. Top venue - ambience, food, service, wine! We have visited several time and will keep coming back. We sat in the back for the first time and loved it / whilst alongside the canal is wonderful in the summer, when the nights draw in and it is a little cooler, the rear area is wonderful! We came with two friends and had a wonderful time - we all had the market special Hake, which was wonderful! We will be back… again!

It is always worrying to visit a legendary pub for the first time. Will it live up to its reputation or not? In this case it does. It is tiny, very quirky and full of history. The beer is good and the very limited food offering is OK as a foil for the drink. Prices are high but overall it is is well worth a visit.

The meal was very nice and the service was good, however, and I accept that waitresses are there to see more, but we were told that the side orders were only small and not enough for two persons and we there ordered a second one. When they arrived this was not the case and one would have been enough, and we therefore left half of each, my question is, why lie to us?

came here for my birthday and had the best time! it’s all authentic and the live music adds a great touch!!
