Saw this recommended in FB, and as we’re always in the lookout for decent eateries nearby thought we’d give it a go. Sunday lunch was great, decent portions, well cooked, and I think the best Yorkshire puddings we’ve had anywhere. Service friendly - even over attentive to start, though understandably a bit hectic the busier the lunch service became. Would definitely return!

Nice place but very over priced. We are in Crofton Park after all - £48 pound for a bottle of wine way too much

This was our third annual Christmas lunch and yet again the CPT didn't let us down. Reduced numbers this year due to sickness but still a. great laugh. Only issues, no music, a bit cold and can we have Yorkshire Puddings on the Christmas menu next year?

We came here for a midweek family lunch, 11 of us, having just been to a service at the Honor Oak Crematorium. We were all feeling a little fragile, the staff and kitchen couldn't have been nicer. Our youngest member, 3, was served almost instantly - a great help. All the food was so delicious and they have a good beer selection too - I had the Battersea IPA.

Waited 20 minutes for anyone to come to our table after being seated . Never offended a menu . Asked for water 3 times and never received it . It did look very busy , food was exceptional and arrived very quickly. If we'd perhaps been told they were short staffed or whatever the reason was ,and we may have had a wait would have managed our expectations.

We have often been here for a pre-theatre meal. This time the food and wine were good, and the service fine, no problems. When we came to pay and pulled out our money we were told there was a no cash policy. Since when? For a couple of months we were told, the company that owns the place decided on it. There was a notice on the bar, the manager told us when he was called, but since we went straight to the restaurant we didn't see it. This company have put themselves on one side of a national debate about the imposition of a 'cashless society'. We hope this will soon be forbidden in law. It should be unlawful to refuse to accept payment in legal tender. Eventually a staff member said they would pay by card and took our money (over £80). Why do the owners impose this on their staff, and customers?

Overall it was okay, quite expensive. Went here for Sunday roast, had two starters, two roast and one dessert with two soft drinks. Came to just over £75.00. Had crispy squid and fried chicken to start, the squid was over fried and wasn’t very nice, the chicken was tasty. The two roast dinners was nice but the beef was very fatty and ruined the meal a little bit. The dessert was chocolate molten brownie which was very yummy!

FOOD POISONING is the reason for my 1 star rating. Sunday I ordered the appetizer salad with shrimp, crab, fennel, lettuce etc. It came over-dressed, a bit soggy and not very cold. There were baby shrimp in the salad and the crab was blended into the dressing so much that it was hard to find. It wasn’t very tasty but I ate it anyway. It wasn’t long before I became ill. I was very sick for 4 1/2 hours. CPT—-Clean up your kitchen!!! I do not recommend!

After being let down by 2 local pubs (kitchens had run out of food) we ended up here. I'm so glad we did! There were 7 of us and we ordered beef, chicken and pork belly. All were served with roast potatoes, red cabbage and broccoli and huge Yorkshire puddings. The food was excellent and very good value for money. The service was very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back soon....my hubby can't wait to try the steak night!

We got out of the habit of eating out during the pandemic, and have slowly been fixing that. It was a long time since we visited the Crofton Park Tavern so off we went and we were really glad we did. the welcome was warm and the service excellent. There was a great atmosphere in the place, lots of people having a good time. The food was very good pub grub. My husband had the Chicken Kiev, which came with crushed potatoes and green beans, while I had the burger which was great. Next time I will try a steak... PS. The menu on the website could do with updating.

We came here for a quick drink last summer en route to another restaurant and liked the ambiance. Decided to return for dinner last night, wow, what a pleasure. The Chef is a creative genius, the staff attentive and engaging, the food incredibly good and the setting very convivial to relaxation. So glad we came back and will definitely be returning again. Thank you all so much for a truly wonderful memory.

Yet again the staff and management really pulled out all the stops for our annual get together of 20 people. It was relaxed with great service and food and for the first time ever Brussel Sprouts were being praised! Well done and thank you again. Andy

So a local like this that’s so welcoming and feels non corporate is a joy to find. The staff are efficient and friendly. Food the starters are amazing the aubergine yummy and the Parmesan fries. On the other hand. The shepherds pie was tasteless. The potato I suspect was made with water and no butter. The slow cooked lamb was totally tasteless. No seasoning,no onions ,no garlic nothing. Such a disappointment. Please compèred to your starters this was simply not good enough for the price. You have a fantastic product here. Please change your shepherds pie !

Went for lunch with my partner as we work close. I ordered a fish finger and my partner had the scotch egg with chips. Service was brilliant and the waitress was polite, helpful and our food came out in a relatively good amount of time. Food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend

Muffin Break serves good coffee, the Americanos are great, get an extra big cup. They also have vegan muffins and gluten free cakes. The service is obliging. It's a great place for an afternoon coffee and cake.

Came to see a brilliant band , but the TV was left on as some guy was watching the darts, kind of ruined the small amount of ambience created by the band... this is not a venue to see a band unfortunately as the staff and managers attitude sucks.. could be amazing with the right management... feels like a naff Weatherspoons , would not recommend... lots of other local music pubs available, give this one a miss unless you just want to sit staring at your pint and watching the telly !
