The Hive in Tower Hamlets

I can not recommend this restaurant. Terrible lunch, poor service and super expensive. The worse ceaser salad I ever had. Don’t waste your money in mediocre food

Para nosotros, este era un lugar de reunión, antes de salir a cenar a un restaurante cercano. El servicio fue muy bueno, amable y eficiente. La selección de bebidas es muy pobre. Solo cuatro vinos para elegir y desafortunadamente no son muy buenos.

Excelente café y la tostada de queso fue increíble. La conexión WiFi gratuita era eficiente y también buena música.

Disfruté sentándome afuera, pero es un poco ruidoso, aunque los coches pasan. Cerca del canal y sintió la brisa fresca.

Me encantaba venir a este lugar por la excelente calidad de la comida y el personal encantador. Debido a que el servicio de cambio de administración es deficiente, el personal no está bien inducido y la oferta de alimentos se ha reducido, pero a un precio demasiado alto.

Had seen it but never actually “needed” to stop. Today in my way to work, without having had my breakfast, past in front of it and said this is my time. Well had a delicious and different breakfast. Not my kind where I leave full as to bare it until lunch but delicate, with customers equally delicate, again no my thing but once in a while, I love it and for those that prefer light yet artisan food. This is the place. M writing this as I’m having a tomato and mushroom purée toast which name I can’t remember but a orange polenta might await for me. Not a cheap light breakfast

Today was my second time to The Hive, I orded a sandwich and a coffee which came to £8.90!!! The sandwich, however, seemed to shrink by half compared to one on display! Whilst it was OK, it definitely wasn't worth the money. Coffee was OK too, but, think I'll seek out other places /VFM next time.

The place looks lovely. There’s a modern fresh feel to it. I ordered an orange juice, muffin and energy ball. It was all very nice, but I wonder how long they take to make the orange juice because it was a strangely long wait for it. Not that many tables, so either come at a chill time or you’ll have to sit at a communal counter.

This is a nice friendly place to meet friends, they cater for all your requirements, from coffee and cake, to just a few drinks, I’m sure they do much more as well. This was a perfect spot for our meeting. Thank you.

We had been out and about for most of the afternoon and really needed a coffee, and we came past The Hive on our way to Viktor Wynds. It looked nice, so we decided that this was the place for a hot drink. We spotted the carrot cake when ordering our coffee and had to have a slice and it was delicious with toasted nuts on top. This is something that I would recommend if you are just looking for a light bite of something sweet. Service was really good and staff very friendly and welcoming. Coffee was great and made with care. Not an issue for us, but note that they only accept card payments. Saves you going to the cash point.

Went with the family as it was raining and the local pub was shut and was disappointed. The staff didn't seem to know what was going on, there were more of them than customers but still forgot to bring my drink. They can't cook a simple scrambled egg for the kids but happy to serve other nonsense with avocado. I also noticed that as of today, they stop taking cash! Despite this being illegal, they obviously feel that they can get away with this. My suggestion, take your cash and go elsewhere.

E' sempre un piacere tornare a The Hive per una colazione, un brunch o un buon bicchiere di vino. Location bella accogliente, personale gentile, ottima scelta di vini naturali e di caffè selezionati. Consiglio un buon brunch con uova o salmone, accompagnato dal Negroni homemade!!

Such a fab menu, great atmosphere and the staff are absolutely amazing! Friendly, charming and accommodating. We ordered matcha lattes which were amazing with raw lemon cheesecake which was vegan too! Such a great find and is the highlight of the area!! Would defiantly recommend and visit again. Cant wait to go for lunch and try their amazing menu! Hip, trendy, friendly, kind, charming, casual, cosy and perfect for all!

I love this place and visit it occasionally. It is a great place to work. Although I haven't branched out through the menu that much, the tempeh sandwich is perfection. I can also recommend their nutritious vegetarian burger and the quinoa salad. The wine list is superb, although I mostly stay for the coffee. Service is aways friendly.

run by snooty italians serving ridiculous, faddy food.. bistrotheque nearby is pricey but always feels good value and has great service.. the hive is unwelcoming and pretentious

Popped in for a drink and nibbles whilst checking out The Oval Space. Very welcoming waiter and the hummus and olive snacks were authentic and nicely presented. Unhurried and relaxing after drive through the London traffic. Unfortunately didn't have time to sample the full menu.
