Incredible seafood menu. We had the 6 oysters, scallops & fries for entrees. Our mains were also so nice - Mackerel & Mussels. This place is so cute & the food amazing.

Really lovely seafood restaurant/pub £2 oysters Mon-Fri 5-7pm. Good Guinness.

Fantastic dining experience! I came here for lunch with my whole family and we absolutely loved it. This restaurant is so beautiful! The food was delicious but what really stood out to me was the service. Our waiter Danny was exceptional, so attentive and friendly. He even showed us the gorgeous showroom upstairs, which I would love to book at some point! Thank you so much to the whole team :) I highly recommend The Victoria.

We had a fabulous Christmas lunch here today. The staff and service were great, the ambience was cosy, and delicious food - the oysters were a hit!

Tuvimos comida pre-navideña con familiares y amigos en la habitación privada. La habitación era fabulosa y Danny que nos cuidó era genial, norte demasiado problema. La comida era deliciosa y con una mezcla de adultos y niños pequeños la habitación era perfecta. El bar de abajo estaba muy ocupado y sin duda volveremos a visitar para comer en el bar.

Really tasty fish pie. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, dog friendly and a big, covered garden.

Danny, Matt and team helped me to organise a surprise party for my husband for circa. 40 people in the pub garden and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend the Vic if you are thinking of booking it for a bigger party/ meal - the team couldn't do enough and the meal and party were a big success. Food was great and just a generally lovely spot with great customer service. Thanks guys and we will be back soon!

We had the private room upstairs for a Christmas lunch for our collaboration meeting this week. It was excellent - the food was delicious and very reasonable for the quantity and quality. The communication and organisation was great and we felt really welcomed. The private room was ideal for our 14 person gathering - the layout worked really well and it felt relaxed and cosy but with plenty of space. Would highly recommend this place for a Christmas gathering.

Had a lovely Haddock & Chips, salad instead of Mushy Peas due to my dairy problem. Aspalls Cyder all very good. Will go back and have a go at the Seafood choices on the menu when my wife is back from her trip, can't wait 👍4th + visit and still great Lovely Sardines with chilli & pickled fennel. Another visit and still marvellous, still the same a few snack items and great service Went again brilliant I love this place, exceptional food and service

Came to the Victoria recently for my brother’s pre wedding food and drinks. It’s such a beautiful pub with a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and it was the perfect place for the bridal party to come together before the wedding. Thank you

We love the Victoria, and come a lot - particularly the shrimp burger in the gorgeous outdoor beer garden in the summer! We came to the Victoria for our pre wedding drinks - the food was amazing, the staff were fabulous and it’s such a gorgeous venue!

The Victoria is a hidden gem in East London, perfectly tucked between Bethnal Green and Mile End stations. From the outside, it looks like your typical pub, but once you’re inside, it’s a whole different vibe. The place has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, a bit of a vintage feel but not overly hipster, just the right balance of chill and lively. Now, let's talk about the food! The croquetas here are next level. I’ve had my fair share of croquetas, but these ones are something else – crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, with that perfect balance of flavor. Honestly, if you go for the drinks, stay for the croquetas. Drinks-wise, they’ve got a solid selection of beers and some interesting craft options, and the staff is really friendly, always happy to recommend something if you’re unsure. Prices are decent, especially for London, and the crowd is usually a good mix of locals and people passing through. There’s also a nice outdoor area if you’re lucky enough to get a seat on a sunny day, perfect for a chill afternoon. All in all, The Victoria is a fantastic spot to unwind with friends, grab a bite, and enjoy some good drinks. Just make sure to try those croquetas, they’re worth the visit alone!

Thought it was just a pub, and indeed it presents like a pub from the street (though to the more astute punters the sign beside the door with the word "Octopus" on it might have been a clue). Turns out that it's East London's seafood hotspot. A welcome discovery since we were quite hungry. It's friendly and bright inside and they pull a good pint and the glasses of wine are always large. The food was fabulous - with a special shout out for whatever sauce they doused the scallops in cause that was phenomenal. 10/10 for the ceviche too. Maybe we'll move to the neighborhood I dunno.

A nice pub, the service is lovely. It does, however, smell like fish and a Guinness is £7.25 which is outrageous.

A quiet , early Tuesday evening but still a treat - super service and great cooking - the brill was superb and the new potatoes awesome . Negronis and oysters to start . wow

Everything you want in a pub. Great drink options (kudos for the White Negroni!), good ale, good wine, great food, friendly and prompt service, nice outdoor garden, and all around good atmosphere. We went on mussels night and got 1kg of fresh mussels in fennel and cider broth (couldn't finish!), and the half lobster with samphire and chips that were by far the thickest I've ever seen but were still crispy outside and fluffy in the middle. It's not easy for me to get there, but I'll probably make the effort to go back one day.

Great meal, fabulous location, staff very attentive, polite and friendly. Prices are reasonable. I will definitely return.

Great outside space. Unfortunately the fish and chips gave two of my family indigestion, they also didn't like the taste of the fish. Mine was actually really good and I had no problems with it, we had two bad ones and two good ones. So it was kind of inconsistent.

Do you want to have fish and chips? this is the place. I came from Toronto, and I had two fish and chips back to back. I highly recommend this place and hope to come back here sometime soon to have my favorite dish 😋 as I'm going home tomorrow.

We have been going to the Victoria for years as we've lived in Bow since 2012. It used to be an amazing local option for fish/seafood. Having had a few average experiences recently we went there again last night- but this will absolutely be the last time. All of the specials were finished by 8pm which was a shame so we ordered from the main menu. We paid £14 for a minuscule plate of "heirloom tomatoes and burrata"- which comprised of literally 6/7 small tomato pieces and probably 1/3 of a mozarella ball- did not feel like burrata at all as it had zero creamy centre. If I am being charged £14 for a tiny salad plate, I'd expect a full burrata ball in it. My husband's main was equally disappointing: an oily, refried piece of fish and horrible looking wedges that were supposed to pass as "chips"- all and all a dark oily unseasoned deep fried brown mess- for £18.50 My dish was a tiny butterflied charred mackerel- again, under seasoned, placed on a red tasteless smear which was supposedly "romesco sauce"- I make my own romesco and this was nothing like Romesco. With a tiny sprinkle of potatoes "parmentier"- which again looked like they took the same wedges they served intact on my husband's dish, they chopped them up in smaller chunks, refried them (without seasoning) and put 7/8 tiny pieces on top of the fish. Avoid.

We visited with family after our wedding and enjoyed a delicious lunch in the garden. It’s a great little sun trap, with cover if it rains too. Dietary requirements were no problem to cater to and everyone was very happy with their food and the service we received. Thank you so much!

Had lunch at The Victoria after Race for Life in Victoria Park. Menu had changed a lot since last year but the food was good and well presented.

Told to take a seat and someone would take my order, only wanted a beer, waited 5 minutes, nothing, so left

Delicious sea food! We had oysters and mackerel, and chips, of course…everything was very tasty. I also liked their IPA. Can’t wait to go back to try their mussels!

Excellent all round couldn't fault it

Me and a few friends came here a few months ago and had really bad food poisoning from oysters. We told them about it a few days later and they said they were gonna look into it but months later we still haven’t received any updates on what happened neither we got refunded for the meal we had that. They keep saying we’ll be in touch and I have to keep asking a few weeks later what’s the update to be told again that they thought the problem was resolved. Very unhappy with the food but even more with how they have responded to a very unpleasant situation.

A beautiful pub, with great food and a fully staffed craft table to drop your kids off at! After enduring a rainy half term with an energetic toddler (if you know you know), being able to have a quiet drink in the sunshine by myself whilst my son played happily with the staff in the crèche was an actual dream come true. I was a little frazzled from the tube and messed up my drinks order but the staff were very kind about it. Loved the risotto and the fish was perfectly cooked. Victoria park being just across the road made for a perfect day out.

Calmed place and great beer. I hope I can come back to try the oysters! Bartender was the sweetest

We have be at Victoria 3 times, the first time we have be there food was great, we have an amazing experience , fantastic service, we have be back 4 weeks ago for the second time, the experience wasn’t great as the first time, we have wait around 30mn for starters, our mains has arrived cold, we diced to not complain and give another chance to the place, I have be back today for the 3 time, my god, I will never be back, our main courses was horrible, all four of us have received mais courses cold, my fish and chips was horrible, cold fish, cold mush peas, mixed os French fries and hand cut chips, the hand cut was left over pieces over fried and hard, my wife has place for main, not season on the fish, fish was very grease and raw, my friend have a pork belly, which was cold, and another friend has trout which was cold to, my self , my wife and one of our friend we have left the food on the plate, and I don’t think they really care about it, we didn’t complain, we want to see if they really care about , but don’t think they do it, because they clear the table and don’t ask why we didn’t eat our meal, so I don’t recommend this place, I was really disappointed, I understand they was busy and short of staffs, but there is not excuse to send a cold food to the table, at least sow a bit respect for guest, we ending expending 290£ on Sunday launch.

Amazing food, great service, not too busy or loud

After having drinks for an hour or so we ordered food just before 9pm by which time a new waiter started serving us. He was really discourteous and cold compared to the people serving us before. He removed food from our table without asking if we were finished and when we said we’d like to keep a bowl of chips on the table to finish off he said “I just want to get the bowl back in the kitchen, that’s why I’m being so insistent”. It seemed like he couldn’t wait for us to leave and was unhelpful and snappy when I asked for the whisky selection at the end of the meal. We had been informed it was last orders and he appeared annoyed that we wanted another drink. We spent a lot of money and we were pretty disappointed to be treated this way. I don’t think we’ll be going back.

Seafood specialized, with absolutely delicious alternatives. Confit Pork Belly with Romesco is to die for, well balanced in flavours with super crispy skin and tender melting meat. Just banging!

With wife and daughter for drinks and lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed all wine, beer, and food. I had mussels in traditional white wine sauce with sourdough and fries. Lovely.

Came for a solo lunch. A bit busy and the wait on food was a little long but absolutely worth it! Good thing I live only 10 mins away ;)

brilliant atmosphere & amazing food!

Disappointing and poor value for money. Specials and mussels had all run out. Scallop starter portion was paltry, with 2 tiny scallops, clams starter portion very small as well. Fish and chips came with a very small piece of fish, they'd run out of the bigger haddock portions everyone else got but not told us this until the plate came out. They did try to rectify things with a small discount after we complained, but even after that it was a big bill for what it was! Shame as I remember this place being great a couple of years ago!

Valentines Day damp and grey but a cheerful welcome and good fish cooking.

Stopped by before some busy afternoon business we had a very good late lunch. The guy was so very sweet and was very friendly. Such a lovely place. Food came along and we had a lovely burger. Great meat and the fries where just crispy and amazing! Will go back for sure!

We had a meeting nearby and looked for somewhere to lunch and stumbled upon this place. Absolutely perfect, specialised on Fish and we will definetely come back soon.

Fantastic fish dishes, lovely pints, great staff. I felt like a bit of a rube having the fish and chips on a cold night, but it was the best fish and chips I'd had all year. Good pint selection.

Really pleased we found this place. We had a very friendly welcome and were well looked after during lunch. Food was great, washed down with a decent wine selection as well.

We have lived in Mile End for a while and biggest regret is only just going to The Victoria! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is cosy and the staff are second to none! Danny couldn’t have been more welcoming and showed us all the spaces! This is now our favourite haunt and couldn’t recommend it more

Had such a fabulous Xmas dinner here yesterday. We dined in the room upstairs. The decor is amazing - full of character and atmosphere. The room is a great size. Perfect for all kinds of celebrations with family and friends. Very kid friendly too. Danny took excellent care of us all afternoon. Would highly recommend it.

Lovely pub with a primarily fish focused menu. Food was superb... We had the whole fresh fish, which was cooked perfectly and had great sides. We made it there for the happy hour, which was 2 for 1 cocktails and cheap oysters. Oysters were very fresh and well presented. The chap who usually does the table service provided superb service once again.

More like a restaurant than a pub. The staff were nice but they got my order wrong and forgot a round of drinks. They did apologise as soon as they realised though and the food was good.

This seems like it would be a great place to eat! Definitely seemed more like a fish restaurant than a pub, I think we went in at a bad time, service was very patchy and unfortunately our bream wasnt cooked and had to be sent back, so we were waiting in there for a long time. The other food was really good though and I'd go in again.

Great place! Lovely upstairs, just attended the private dining room and booked my staff party. Such a lovely place. We had the braised pork cheek along with a few canapés. Highly recommend!
