Saw a previous review giving Coin de Paris a single star and urging everyone to check out the Food Standards Agency site. I did. It has a FIVE STAR/VERY GOOD rating from October last year. My wife and I have been here plenty of times over the past decade, and have always been impressed by the food, the service and the value. The owner - who never seems to have a day off - always remembers us and is happy to chat. With so many options for lunch in Kingston (it feels like we have sampled most of them, from spit'n'sawdust cafes and noodle bars, to the restaurants in the department stores, Coin de Paris is always the one we look forward to most. There's a great choice of food and generous portions, while the value for money is exceptional. The only issue we have ever had is when he haven't been able to get a table because it's full inside and out (usually after 1pm on a sunny Saturday).

Food and drinks are good overall. Service sucks and every time we go the staff are super unfriendly they suck your energy out! I won’t go again. There are many more friendly places around.

Absolutely terrible. First and last time we go. We thought we would go enjoy a pre dinner drink. Sign clearly says "Over 25" when you walk in, yet we had to walk around 2 baby strollers and 4 children running around. There was zero music or ambiance. Over priced drinks. Won't be going back.

James at the Bingham reception has an attitude problem. I visited to spend £50 on a voucher for a friend after first emailing Bhuti and being told it was possible to purchase a physical voucher. I didn’t want to purchase a digital voucher online and have the recipient receive a confirmation email (spoiling the surprise). James was kind enough to tell me multiple times that ‘I’m literally going through purchasing on the website madam’ as if it was a problem I’d come in to buy the voucher. He didn’t listen and behaved in an extremely patronising manner. Learn how to deal with customers and some basic human interaction skills while you’re at it. Don’t waste your money at Bhuti or the Bingham unless you want to be treated like you’re a child.

Superb breakfast. Freshly cooked and delicious. Cannot fault it. Friendly service and immaculately clean. Easy parking down the street too.

The scones are delicious~ However, it's too much to buy one scone and one tea per person, so make sure to share them.
