A cute and cosy place for fresh French artisan cakes, with artwork on the walls. Great cakes! You do feel like you’re in a patisserie in Paris and not in Soho!

Pasteles absolutamente lucidos.

I didn't have high expectations because it's a place that a lot of Koreans go to. Unlike Korean scones, the scones were soft on the outside. Perhaps because I ate it right away, the scones I packed the next day were hard. It’s delicious eaten with clotted cream and jam.

Never disappoints. Take your taste buds on a trip to the best patisserie in London, a short walk from Tottenham court Rd station. One of londons best kept secrets that everyone should know of! I had a slice of quiche light and a fluffy mixture of cheese and broccoli and for dessert a frangipani pear tart and a cheesecake with a biscuit top with blueberry and apricot, both equally delicious. I did share but would have gladly scoffed on at home at my leisure. Big pots of hot tea are served also. The interior is rustic. I feel like I'm in Belgium back in the 60s, but that is the charm Enjoy.

Our second trip to this shop and all because Michelle left an indelible impression on our our first trip here. The scones are absolutely the best we’ve had, the ratio of cream served is PERFECT and the best consistency, and the tea is nice and strong, perfect for a chilly, rainy London afternoon. Don’t skip out on this as it’s one of if not the oldest pastry shop in London.

She told me in a rude tone of voice we should have waited outside. Then she added’ I know it’s raining…’ I didn’t gave her the chance to speak any longer. Me and my friend left the place at once. I took my female friend for Cream Tea at Maison Bertaux a few days ago... at first it seems a touch ramshackle in the way it's furnished and staffed but it's the whole point as that was how it was when it opened in 1871 (prior to the [now closed] Patisserie Valerie) so it's a real gem. We chose a table for two by the piano and were served by a friendly waiter wearing white shirt and navy apron so, actually, very smartly dressed staff ✅. We had a large pot of loose leaf English Tea with scones, strawberry jam & clotted cream - WOW! Then we looked over the cake counter and choose almond & pear tart and a big cream cake with fruit accompanied by two glasses of cold prosecco - Fab! All in all it was very good and the prices, though not cheap, it's in the heart of London's Soho and, in my opinion, beats any other cream-tea experience in LDN!

Not sure if I went on an “off” day but the older gentleman who was taking orders / serving scones was incredibly rude. My family walked in and not knowing that we had to first order before grabbing a seat (there are no written instructions nor were we told) the gentleman started to yell at us telling us that we needed to order first. We were really excited to visit this place after reading all the reviews but this put a damper on the experience from the get go. We grabbed a seat upstairs which was incredibly small and packed — it was difficult to have a conversation because people were seated so close to each other. Now the scones - these were mediocre at best. I bake for fun and scones are not a difficult thing to make. These scones were dry and lacking in flavour. As others have mentioned, the clotted cream was very good and generous in portion. Will not recommend visiting.

The Darjeeling tea had a really nice scent, and the hostess kindly told us to cut the scone in half (with a knife, with our hands) and spread it with plenty of clotted cream. It's a soft scone, has just the right amount of buttery flavor, and is so savory that I think it's the most delicious scone I've ever had. Jamong ham cheese croissants are a great substitute for rice. We ate it as a substitute for rice, but I think it would be a good idea to consider it as a snack since it would be very filling. Since I know French bread is delicious, I had some expectations that French scones would also be delicious. Moreover, it is said to be a famous scone restaurant that many Koreans go to. However, I was a bit disappointed when I went. The scone itself had no taste and felt like eating a grainy cracker. It wouldn't have been tasty without cream and jam. The store itself was decorated cutely, so the atmosphere wasn't bad. When I visited, all the customers were Korean and the owner was reasonably friendly. There was a place to eat in the basement and there was also a bathroom. The price was the most expensive of all the scones I've had. I ordered a tea and a scone, and it was 11.8? The texture of the scone was good, but the taste itself was not good. It seems like a place to go to take pretty pictures.

Such a shame as the place looked very nice same with the pastries. Same with the scone slammed the plate on the table, I even kept being polite to him saying thank you multiple times and he was very rude and ill mannered. He rolled his eyes after everything I would say. He was being rude to me the minute I came through the door even before ordering. I was so excited to have my scone and coffee but after being treated so badly i cancelled everything and left. I couldn’t even touch my coffee or scone from the shock, I couldn’t sit and enjoy myself after being treated so badly. I got up and left. We had coffee and tea with an amaretto cookie and scones with butter and jam. The coffee was super bitter and dark. It was a flat white so I expected it to have more milk. Very bitter for a flat white. The cookie was very cloying. Very sweet and also had sugar on top. The scone was very heavy. Very massive. The food in general did not seem good to us. And the place is very small and very crowded. The very high price was £18. The service was very good and the outside tables are a good place to sit.

Ordered a cheesecake, whole pie for take away. It was gelatin and butter and not a cheesecake. Tasted horrible. Sorry. I loved the place and the staff.

Pain au chocolat even more generous and better than in Paris! The waiters are a little pushy but otherwise it's a very nice place with a lot of charm inside

The cakes and pastries are absolutely amazing. Delicious and everything more. I'd come back here again and again. The space is a bit small. The cafe/bakery is a little piece of history and interesting to visit for this reason. They have more seating downstairs and upstairs but it's not as cosy as in the front room. Service is order-at-the-till. A bit slow at the till and staff can get frustrated in the tight space but it all works in the end. Lovely.

The interior design is stunning, with thoughtful touches that create a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere. It’s a space where elegance meets comfort, and every corner is Instagram-worthy. The dishes are truly exceptional. Service here is second to none. The attentive staff anticipate your needs before you even voice them. Tables fill up fast once they open their doors at noon, so make sure to secure your reservation ahead of time.

This pret is very speedy and all the staff have very good customer service. Roshnee in particular has such amazing energy and is very kind. She told me she made the New Yorker roll and it tasted amazing!! Great shop, well done all!
