The room downstairs had a strong smell of detergent (Cif), which I didn't particularly like. This place needs refurbishment or, at the very least, a deep cleaning. The cutlery and tea strainer were not clean, and the customer service could have been better. Although the cake I tried was decent, the unpleasant smell and the dirt everywhere made it difficult to enjoy. :(

When I only ate the Maison Berto scone, which is famous among Koreans, it was just a normal scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Eating ㄹㅇ If you want to have Johnmaktaeng milk tea, add 2 sugars and enjoy it. This is the 2nd time we have it on our schedule.

The owner's grandmother was so beautiful that I had no choice but to take out my camera!!! Scone taste... I've been to more than 20 scone restaurants in the UK and this one is in the top 5 (about 4th place...?) It's chewy on the outside, has a strong buttery flavor, and is well seasoned. They give a lot of clotted cream and the scones are huge. But the strawberry cheesecake was not delicious.

I sat outside and it was nice and relaxing. When I went there, there was a Korean staff member who explained things well. The milk tea and scones were especially delicious, and I visited again for takeaway before leaving the country. I asked to leave out the clotted cream because I was afraid it would melt, but the owner was adamant that I had to bring this and that it would be much more delicious, so I took the cream as well.

Tiny and quite busy spot, had a coffee and marzipan cake. I mean I love marzipan however the chocolate filling inside was missing its character in my opinion. They were just fine. Was told meringue tasted good, not too sweet. Sitting outside is such a vibe but obviously it would be too good for us so you are constantly reminded to keep an eye on your belongings. Other reviewers said it's too expensive, this I can't tell because in Cambridge we are used to over inflated prices without any quality...

The scones were cold and crumbly, and the milk tea was 11.1 pounds (about 20,000 won) for just an ordinary tea bag... The chairs were uncomfortable and too narrow. There are 3-4 chairs at each table for one person;; Just a house with nothing special. When you enter, there are a lot of Koreans. The owner was friendly, but I'm not sure if the Indian part-timer was friendly. They just threw it away and walked away. There are many other delicious cafes, so I really want to.

Not sure if I went on an “off” day but the older gentleman who was taking orders / serving scones was incredibly rude. My family walked in and not knowing that we had to first order before grabbing a seat (there are no written instructions nor were we told) the gentleman started to yell at us telling us that we needed to order first. We were really excited to visit this place after reading all the reviews but this put a damper on the experience from the get go. We grabbed a seat upstairs which was incredibly small and packed — it was difficult to have a conversation because people were seated so close to each other. Now the scones - these were mediocre at best. I bake for fun and scones are not a difficult thing to make. These scones were dry and lacking in flavour. As others have mentioned, the clotted cream was very good and generous in portion. Will not recommend visiting.

The Darjeeling tea had a really nice scent, and the hostess kindly told us to cut the scone in half (with a knife, with our hands) and spread it with plenty of clotted cream. It's a soft scone, has just the right amount of buttery flavor, and is so savory that I think it's the most delicious scone I've ever had. Jamong ham cheese croissants are a great substitute for rice. We ate it as a substitute for rice, but I think it would be a good idea to consider it as a snack since it would be very filling. I really recommend the store❤️

This little place is an institution in Soho / London. It has been mentioned in most guides for decades.... Over the years, it has expanded next door - leaving us more chance to get a table at peak time, which is pretty much all day - the large choice of cakes ( generous portions) remains fantastic with a good choice of hot drinks - coffee and teas. The team is friendly with a quick service. Highly recommended.

This is a store frequented by many Koreans. Of course, there were locals too. The interior has a similar feel to Cafe Layered or Victoria Bakery in Seochon, Korea. I recommend ordering tea as a drink. You can enjoy it as milk tea by adding milk while drinking regular tea. Since I know French bread is delicious, I had some expectations that French scones would also be delicious. Moreover, it is said to be a famous scone restaurant that many Koreans go to. However, I was a bit disappointed when I went. The scone itself had no taste and felt like eating a grainy cracker. It wouldn't have been tasty without cream and jam. The store itself was decorated cutely, so the atmosphere wasn't bad. When I visited, all the customers were Korean and the owner was reasonably friendly. There was a place to eat in the basement and there was also a bathroom. The price was the most expensive of all the scones I've had. I ordered a tea and a scone, and it was 11.8? The texture of the scone was good, but the taste itself was not good. It seems like a place to go to take pretty pictures.

The 5 star reviews are not merited. £7 for one scone is only ever going to be worth it if the environment is special or high quality in some way, and it definitely isn’t. It’s really cheap and tacky. The not-too-sweet, savory clotted cream and sweet jam go really well with the soft scones that crumble into small particles. It's a must-try when in Soho. I will definitely never be coming here AGIAN the staff were extremely rude, especially the young waiter with blonde hair and glasses. Such a shame as the place looked very nice same with the pastries. I ordered sat upstairs and he came to me threw a fit about cleaning the table, was being very aggressive he even spilt my coffee as he was setting it down on the table, that’s how aggressive he was. Same with the scone slammed the plate on the table, I even kept being polite to him saying thank you multiple times and he was very rude and ill mannered. He rolled his eyes after everything I would say. He was being rude to me the minute I came through the door even before ordering. I was so excited to have my scone and coffee but after being treated so badly i cancelled everything and left. I couldn’t even touch my coffee or scone from the shock, I couldn’t sit and enjoy myself after being treated so badly. I got up and left. As a paying customer not to mention they’re not cheap no one wants to be treated like that and if they still want customers I suggest they hire new staff. We chose a table for two and were served by a friendly waiter wearing white shirt and navy apron so very smartly dressed✅ by the piano and had a large pot of loose leaf English Tea with scones, strawberry jam & clotted cream - WOW!

Cute place. Sat outdoors. The street was calm and it was nice to sit there. I had english breakfast tea with scone, clotted cream and jam. The scone was heated at serving, but it was not that heated. I've had better scones elsewhere in London. This one felt kinda dry. But the clotted cream was really good so this along with jam made the experience much better.

I don't know why, but 80% of the customers were Korean. The second floor is exclusively for Koreans!! Personally, the scones I ate in the Cotswolds were much more delicious.

Historical place for London as it is the first ever French patisserie in the capital. It's been here since 1871 and despite the changes it still holds a very independent and bohemian look with a very untidy hall, a few tables, crammed cakes and pastries. Take it as it comes as it is not a fine patisserie but the look will deceive you for the sweet food served is simple, delicate and low in sugar compared to English pastries, but still flavoursome. Worth stopping.

Cute old-fashioned bakery, the owner was very nice and welcoming. They are popular for their scones, which are delicious. They also offer interesting selection of cakes and other baked goods which I look forward to try on my next visit.

Top venue - ambience, food, service, wine! We have visited several time and will keep coming back. We sat in the back for the first time and loved it / whilst alongside the canal is wonderful in the summer, when the nights draw in and it is a little cooler, the rear area is wonderful! We came with two friends and had a wonderful time - we all had the market special Hake, which was wonderful! We will be back… again!

Caja de almuerzo muy saludable y abundante. Me tomó mucho tiempo terminar en realidad. . Servicio agradable, no demasiado pretencioso, relajado. ¡recomendado!
