The place was almost full. The ambience is quiet nice The service is also decent I am a vegetarian glad they had many options for vegetarians too. This place is at a walkable restaurant from temple station. I would visit them again soon.

The afternoon tea was really top notch. The pastries were all 10/10 and lovely variety - sacher torta, cheesecake, pistachio cake and lemon tart. Much better than some other famous London places that sell afternoon teas for double the price. Great tea selection, I particularly enjoyed their own blend of tea. We couldn’t finish all, so they packed the scones to take home as per our request. Not touristy and not full of people taking pictures of everything. Just a lovely atmosphere of people who appreciate quality.

Had Christmas Eve dinner here a la carte. This place just oozes atmosphere. Good service and food.

A lovely brunch on New Year's Day. The service was top notch and the food very good also. A smart but casual feel. I enjoyed it immensely.

We had Breakfast with my family here and the service was smooth , and the food excellent.

Fancy traditional English tea. Make sure to book reservations!! The desserts were incredible and tastey. We ordered the mint tea which was excellent. It’s pricey, but thats London.

I indulged in their schnitzel, which was an absolute triumph—golden, crispy, and perfectly seasoned, with every bite better than the last. My wife was equally thrilled with her choices. She started with the prawn cocktail, which she declared the best she’s ever had—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. This was followed by eggs benedict that were simply divine, with perfectly poached eggs and a hollandaise sauce so silky it was like a work of art. What really made our visit special was the sensational service. The waitstaff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our every need was met with grace and professionalism. Their genuine warmth and impeccable attention to detail elevated the meal into an unforgettable dining experience. The Delaunay Bar is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of fine dining and outstanding hospitality. We can’t wait to return and relive the magic on our next visit to London!

Disappointing food, lovely place and great service

The food and service were really good. The beef stroganoff, steak poivre and chicken schnitzel were really good, so was most of our side orders. I would not recommend the dessert though, its really not worth it.

I’ve been coming since I was 25, it’s been 12 years. Honestly they are incredible. I’ve had a birthday breakfast here and they are wonderful. So attentive and couteous, and great with children. Highly recommend for breakfast especially around Christmas time. I will continue to come back here for as long as they stay.

I visited without a reservation around 11:30 on a weekday during the holiday season, but I was able to get in right away. The doorman, receptionist, and waiter were all very nice and I had a great time😌 When I was in London, I visited to eat at a restaurant with a typical London atmosphere, and it had a great holiday atmosphere 🥺 However, due to the strong yen, the food was quite expensive (about 35 pounds = 7,000 yen including tax and service charge for two dishes), and the main dish was rather simple and seasoned, so I gave it a 3 star rating. The first dish of soup was very flavorful and plentiful, warming my cold body to the core and making it very delicious🥣

My best friend and I went here for dinner as a Christmas treat last night and it was just perfect. We managed to get a table last minute for 8pm and there was a lovely buzz in the restaurant. LUKE our waiter was so kind, looked after us extremely well and made the evening all the more enjoyable. I hadn’t been to the Delaunay in years so it was such a treat to go back. From cocktails through our three courses it was all perfect. The presentation is really quite something. Thank you LUKE and all for a wonderful Christmas evening.

Beautiful place with amazing desserts and service, albeit a little pricey

Gorgeous, classical setting and impeccable service despite being very busy. The cakes and scones were particularly delicious. The sandwiches didn't stand out but were nice enough. I've paid more than double elsewhere and got style over substance. This was a much better experience.

Really enjoyed my solo breakfast here. The decor is really lovely, the poached eggs on sourdough was £7.50 which I though was good value, and the waiter was really nice. Highly recommend

Excellent food and drinks. Have been coming here for many years and it has maintained its quality. Favourites are the schnitzel and kasekrainer. Dessert can be skipped though. Service is always great.

We were looking for a nice place to have breakfast when we came across this delightful establishment. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout. We had breakfast tea and granola bowls, which were really delicious.

Just a wonderfully extravagant though affordable restaurant!

We had a very good lunch, with a great Christmas vibe. My biggest complaint is they charged a cover charge AND a service charge. The restaurant was full, why a cover charge when we ordered food and drinks. Quite unacceptable in my view and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure I will go back for this reason alone.

Delightful holiday cheer in a Viennese style. Live string music, delicious snitzel and wine.

A lovely, varied menu catering for our respective dietary requirements. Great cocktails and good wine list. They also have a very fair priced fixed priced menu - even on a Saturday! We did have a huge problem with one of the waiting staff who absent-mindedly did something quite shocking and inappropriate (especially for a place with such calibre) but it was handled in a timely manner. Speaking of time, had we wished to have a dessert, I'm not sure where we would have been expected to eat it, as they were very strict with their 2 hour time slot. The after-dinner drinks felt rushed because of this but I won't let it put me off because the food was fabulous.

Service was a little off this visit and some of the food a little tasteless but it was mostly delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful

This place has a nice vibe with good food and very 'Parisian Brasserie Belle Epoque'. But the noise level is very high, so if you are with someone with hearing aids they will struggle to hear you . Nonetheless I really enjoyed the lunch there and the food was delicious.

Whenever I'm in town, I'll visit Delaunay. Sit in the bar, or have a wonderfully long lunch with friends. I recommend.

A West End institution for a reason. Great food, service and ambience in a convenient location. The price fixe menu in particular is great value for money and three courses will satisfy without overfilling diners before a theatre trip. Would definitely go again.

We had a great dinner before going to Tina's Musical. Very warm welcome, buzzing place and everyone looked after us very well. Food was delicious with my favorite being the souffle! Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

Spacious & classy Vienna-style venue. The least table-crammed West End restaurant I've ever been to. Visited for a post-theatre dinner and though we were there till well past midnight there was no sense of rush - indeed they seated one couple around 11:30pm. Lovely staff, lovely food, recommended

Very enjoyable and high quality pre theatre 3 course set meal. Bit of a shame we had to specifically ask for the menu we'd booked, and the £2pp cover charge should really be in the price. But food was extremely nice and service exemplary.

When I come to London, dining at The Delaunay is a must. We returned last Friday for dinner, the Beef Wellington was amazing, as was the dessert, the service and the atmosphere. I like the elegance of this restaurant. You always return to great places.

The servers were pleasant, and the atmosphere in the room was good. However, the food is not worth the price. I had the mackerel, it was bland.

Excellent brunch, elegant venue and very friendly welcome. Despite an error on my part during the booking process (I had accidentally booked online at another Wolseley Group restaurant) the manager kindly resolved the problem and let us sit anyway. Great service and delicious brunch, pancakes and eggs benedict were superb. It's not cheap, but for me the cost is adequate for the offer: if you enter a place like this, it's assumed that you know where you're going 😉 I would love to go back for Afternoon Tea sometime.

No value for money. The food is below standard overcomplicated tasteless. AVOID waste of money looks nice but the food is not edible. Wouldn’t even give to my dog it was that bad. Strongly recommend to make changes to the food menu. Will never come back and will not recommend. AVIOD

A classy place to spend time with good food in central London. Fruit or maple syrup pancakes that are served beautifully. Generous portions but not too much and the quality of the products is excellent in my opinion. Eggs Benedict cooked excellently surrounded by an excellent Hollandaise cream. We will definitely return.

I’m very sad to say but the food was inedible two of us ordered the schnitzel which was like shoe leather our side order of Broccoli was raw I could not put my folk into it. We did not eat! Yes the waiter took one cover off the bill but that’s not the answer. Very disappointed how can you get schnitzels wrong!

Went for a 2 course pre theatre meal. Menu was very limited and mainly fish or cheese. We ended up ordering G from main menu and paying the difference. Meal was lovely but wouldn't go again personally. Staff were great. Pretty busy and very loud.

The Delaunay will forever hold a special place in our hearts. When things don't always go to plan, sometimes it works out that it is just meant to be and you need to trust the process. We were due to have our wedding breakfast at another venue in London, however on the day we were unable to host our guests there. Our original venue had contacted The Delaunay about hosting our intimate part of 20 and I'm so grateful that they agreed to do so. We were in the gorgeous private dining room and we couldn't have asked for a better evening to end the best day of our lives. Even walking throughout the restaurant, little tables were set with lamps that just gave off glamour. The room is so intimate, with all guests seated on one table, dimmed lighting and the dark finishes really add to the overall ambience. The team at The Delaunay managed to turn around a personalised menu that catered to all dietary requirements of our guests and mimicked what would've been the menu at our original venue. As well as setting up the flowers and cake from the original venue. Luigi, our server, was an absolute star in making sure all guests were taken care of and we cannot thank him for his kindness and hospitality enough. He is a credit to the restaurant! We loved how our day turned out and can't thank all the team at The Delaunay enough for there incredible attention to detail. We love that we have found a new restaurant that we will hold dearly in our hearts for all the years to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you from the bottom of our hearts. Very nice but noisy place with concierge at the door and cloakroom (which is "free"). The staff dressed in shirts, vests and jackets. We had afternoon tea = 2 scones, 4 kinds of sandwiches and 3 cakes each. About 2.5 cups of tea for each (unfortunately, the house's own didn't taste as good). No offer for refills. We were automatically given 2 glasses of water. When we got the bill we got a shock. For the 2 glasses of water, and misc. service charges we got rid of an extra £14.35. (afternoon tea costs £34) On the website it says that they take a 15% service fee. Boring experience

Delicious meal, lovely surroundings. I had the chicken schnitzel with a side of potato salad. I couldn’t finish it as the portion was so large, which was my only disappointment as the desserts look so delicious and I was too full to try!

I had the afternoon tea. The wait staff were lovely, attentive, and more than accommodating of food allergies.

This is a good venue for a business meeting over a meal. We were here for breakfast. Poached eggs with smashed avocado is a treat. My colleague had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The quality of the food is high and served by very helpful staff.

A great menu with some Austrian specialities. The wine list is extensive. The atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and bustling.

Wonderful venue, lovely service but a restaurant that is so busy shouldn't offer any seared fish that will sit under a heat lamp cooking until it curls up and dies...

I had crab to start, that was lovely. Kidneys for main. Over salted, which was a shame because given the sauce. I’m not sure they needed any salt. The waiter was efficient and helpful. A little grumpy. The drinks and atmosphere was great

This place is and will always remain a very special venue through its great atmosphere albeit a bit loud. My Lady and I enjoyed our dinner, very well looked after by a very kind Dimitri. If quality has remained consistent over the last decade, the prices had a very sharp rise since the change of ownership in 2021: without becoming too crazy on drinks, you must plan with £80-100 per person. A great place, to where I will always enjoy coming back to, but probably less often than I used to.

Can’t fault the food. Everything was delicious. The service, however, was awful. For a table of 4 spending more than £100 per person, we felt rushed and pressured to order and then finish the meal as we were repeatedly reminded of the limited time we had our table booked. There were many empty tables and no queues of diners waiting in the wings. The hostess, the server and the manager all exhibited airs of indifference and at times unapologetic rudeness. They all seemed to hate their jobs and their customers. Why pay £400+ to be treated terribly? I won’t be back.

Another brilliant night at The Delaunay celebrating my friendship with girlfriends of over 40 years - the food and service is always second to none. Delicious food and Luigi looked after us beautifully. Attentive and very professional - thank you - we shall be back - a really enjoyable night.
