Monthly, the Barley Mow marylebone offers an amazing Sunday lunch. A simple prawn cocktail starter, my wife had the soup, then beef main with great roasties, veg, and yorkshire pud. The vegan option was tasty and cauliflower cheese side excellent. The chocolate tart and crumble were both fabulous. Service with a smile in the warmest and friendliest pub in Marylebone. Their pies go down a treat if you're partaking of the brilliant quiz nights. Shhh, it's too good to share.

A perfect place for a beer, after the main entrance you can also go left behind the bar straight and there is another room where it is more intimate and less crowded and quiet, so everyone will find a place for themselves here. The service was very nice, the only thing missing is a menu with beer prices, you have to ask about the prices

Can't comment on the food because I arrived and they had run out of pies, which is the special that I came to experience. Crap attitude from the barman, about 5 people there. I don't think they will give a hoot re the above mentioned so don't bother going..

My wife had a lovely blueberry muffin and an average coffee here. I had a tea in a takeaway cup and a strange egg and bacon wrap which felt as though the egg and bacon had been chopped into small pieces before being wrapped. It was warm/hot and filled a spot.

This should be a good review of a somewhat quirky pub. Problem is a friend and I came specifically to play darts. Now I don't mind £7 for a Peroni, nor do I mind paying £11 for an expensive double Makers Mark. But to be asked to pay £25 an hour to play darts is outrageous. I have never paid to play darts in London. I am absolutely disgusted. Shame on this pub.

The manager (Dan) suddenly decided at 10pm that the dart board was closed , even though we literally took the darts off the guys who were already playing. Apparently the board closes at 6pm on Wednesday?? When asked why, he was super aggressive (presumably supporting his stroppy barmaid). Until then we had a great evening but frankly this COMPLETELY RUINED our evening. The location is great, the bar is great, but unless you change the manager your business is done

We enjoyed one of those memorable long lunches with friends a few weeks back on a trip to London from Australia. Everything about The Barley Mow ticked all the right boxes, the location was perfect, we loved the authentic English pub vibe and the food & drinks were top notch. Most notable was the staff...everyone was super welcoming & genuine and really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable & happy. Special mention to Jeremy who was so delightful and engaging and again made such a special effort to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and made us feel so looked after. We would definitely return again on our next visit. Highly Recommend!

Mixed feel about this place. Staff great and service good. However, I was charged £24.60 for a glass of sauvingnon blanc and a pint of London Lush. I didn't realize at the time to be honest but saw on credit card bill this morning and though I was seeing things. I know we were in Mayfair buy the seating inside the pub was not one bit comfortable and outside the pub broken glass was littering the pavements from glasses taken outside. Wouldn't recommend or go back sadly.

I was looking for somewhere to eat while walking down London's famous Baker street and discovered this little pub on nearby Dorset street. It had a nice interior with a couple of quirky booths/snugs at one side of the bar. Staff were pleasant and helpful and my food order arrived quickly. I enjoyed an IPA beer alongside a traditional English pie with a beef and blue cheese filling served with mashed potato, mushy peas and gravy. Overall a nice experience and the food was very good. A little expensive for pub grub but prices are similar around the centre of London.

Being the oldest pub in Marylebone may not seem like something you should be shouting about until you realise it's London and London is ancient so that's quite an impressive claim really. It's one of those places that feels like it has lived experience in its walls, experience that isn't fabricated like a lot of London so you should indeed have a look and experience for yourself. That's probably more times than I should be using the word experience but hey, I've used experience again, and then again, sorry, just go and have a look and, I'm, experience the thing.

While strolling about Marylebone to check Lennon's place on Montagu Square, we decided to go to a pub. A Londoner who refuse to take his foreign friend to "another tourist trap on Baker Street" brought me to The Barley Mow. In spite of the weather and his biking attire, we sat outside because he wouldn't leave his bike unattended. We have a couple of Doom Bar's beers (loved them btw) and talked until my friend's bottom froze. Established in 1791, the pub is the oldest in Marylebone and one of the last remaining 'Free Houses' in the centre of the city. Sadly I didn't know the place's history, I would've loved seeing those antique private booths at the bar.

Curious place with a lot of charm to visit. It is a cafe in the crypt of the church where they have self-service salty and sweet food at a very good price, as well as a very delicious coffee. Depending on the day there are concerts and events. Highly recommended to make a stop to recover energy next to Trafalgar Square. Be careful, they don't open early (11:00 am approx) and the hours vary a little depending on the week.

I always have to visit Brasserie Blanc each time I visit London - I've always enjoyed their food. This one had two-for-one drinks when I visited on a Friday night (very nice) The French onion soup was a bit lacking in soup flavours (and cheese) this time - I can't remember how it was previously. Escargots they only had the 6 option unfortunately but that was good (probably could be a little bit more garlicky) I had a dilemma of what to eat for the main - there was so much I wanted to try .
