A pub with a lot of history since 1770. Good English beers. The oldest self-made ones. The clientele is young people from companies in the area. Very lively. With people in the street. Very attentive service. We were served by Esther, a girl from Barcelona who has been at the pub for 7 years. Very nice. I highly recommend this pub

Still the oldest surviving pub in Mayfair, despite several lockdowns. A fantastic place to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink! I came to watch the NZL v ARG RWC game and to catch up with good friends.

After walking around Mayfair a lot I was gasping for a nice, hot Americano, washed down with a pint. I knew that this was an old, historic pub; apparently the oldest in Mayfair, and what I prefer more than the newer soulless places. However, after my request for the aforesaid drinks I was informed "we don't serve coffee". Well, to me, that is lazy and pathetic. I wonder if the previous owners (Madonna and Guy Ritchie) provided equally poor service. Hence, I bug...ed off and won't be back.

Been drinking in pub's for 60 year's (Real Ale) this one fits Me like a glove, it's how pub's should be, good staff, good beer and good atmosphere.

🚇 Green Park 🍺 £6.25 Amstel ❤️ An Historic Mayfair pub. . Not to be confused with The Coach & Horses on Bruton Street, This Coach & Horses is on Hill Street just off fashionable Berkeley square in the heart of Mayfair. The nearest tube is Green Park which is around a five minute walk away. . As the name suggests, this Grade II listed pub was originally built as a coaching inn for weary travellers in days gone by. This is the oldest surviving pub building in Mayfair and dates back to 1744. . The decor here is traditional and has some standout original period features. The servery is dark polished wood with an ornate canopy which has brass lanterns either side. Around the walls of the bar and in cosy alcoves are comfy leather banquettes. At the left hand side of the bar is a snug area complete with a beautiful marble fireplace and a large mirror. The floor is wood with a couple of pockets of proper patterned old school pub carpet. . The beer line up was decent and included a couple of cask ales. I decided on an Amstel, my pint was enjoyable and cost just over six quid. There is no food menu at present but bar snacks are available. . I visited mid afternoon on a Tuesday and the pub was chilled and relaxed with a couple of other punters in attendance. I managed to have a chat with Phil the Landlord, he was telling me about the comings and goings of the boozer and his family history with the pub, top fella. . The @coachhorses is an historic pub that is full of character and splendour. The staff and Landlord were very welcoming and will look after you while you are here. My spouse and I arrived from the USA in early March 2023. Our first evening in London found us tired and hungry. We asked a staff member of our nearby hotel where we could have a good fish & chips dinner. Without hesitation she recommended the Footman. It was a Saturday night, so although busy the Footman staff were very courteous and attentive. The fish & chips were fabulous. During our next visit to London, we shall return!

Amazing place, amazing staff, amazing atmosphere. If you want a warm vibe in the middle of Mayfair - this is the place to go.

Closed at 10 because it 'wasn't busy'. We got there at 10:04 and it was very busy. Wouldn't serve us.

We popped in during the pre-festive drinking season. The bar was busy and vibrant, we did however manage to get a drink a small seat for us both - all good.

Absolutely appalling. We apprehended a bag thief and then were treated as if we were the criminals. To the point where when the police eventually arrived we were being portrayed as the villains. I will NEVER GO BACK to this pub despite being a regular over the past seven years. Beyond belief how they have treated paying customers.

Hilarious buzzy place. I visited for after work drinks on a Thursday night. Great atmosphere and service was quite quick. Small loos. Standing room only when I was there with lots of people stood outside. The staff remind you constantly not to stand in the live road, which I suppose they have to but many people standing on the pavement outside and opposite. Lovely Mayfair boozer.

Proper old school Mayfair pub - one of the very few remaining in this part of London which have not become posh gastro pubs. Friendly staff, good beer, but no food other than crisps and nuts. Warm and welcoming.

Nice friendly bar in the heart of Mayfair. This pub used to be very busy all the time, but it seemed a little less busy this afternoon. Serves food at lunch time and in the evening. My Club used to be nearby and I would often stop off here walking up Hill Street from Berkeley Square. A couple of real ales on draft. I settled for cider myself. Comfortable and a nice option for a beer or a pub meal.

Unfortunately this has gone downhill since covid, which is to be expected - a number of bills incorrectly charged and rules followed that are out dated. Plus they now done do food ..... Shame, used to be my favourite pub

This is a fine pub situated in quaint Mayfair. The bar staff are extremely hospitable with particular thanks to Mike who ensured that my company and I were suitably refreshed and looked after. Strongly recommend a visit especially in the warmer months.

As a local I rate the pub but they really need to have a local resident discount in line with other pubs in the area. It would be also nice to see if they did a jazz night as it would be great to have in the area.

This is a fantastic pub to get away from the fast pace of London. The food is a mixture of traditional English pub classics - which is perfect, but with also some lighter options on the menu (sandwiches) if you just want a light meal - which is what I had in conjunction with a pint of Guinness stout. Really worth dropping in!

When I am in London I always try and visit this great place. Vast selection of drinks good food menu in a great traditional pub. Well done guys and girls.

Quick drink and haloumi fries here. Great service - food came so quickly. Only downside was the extremely intoxicated boy who apparently was having troubles growing up to be the parent of his little one at home. The bar kept serving him drinks despite the degree of intoxication. That was both annoying and depressing. If that hadn't been part of the experience, I'd have been positive overall.

In the heart of Mayfair, this attractive corner building is even lovelier inside. The dark timber beams alternating with white paint, the dark wood-paneled interior, the planters a;; contribute to the feeling of coziness. The beverages are very good, and there is a good selection of them. The food is also good, but service depends on the time of the day. At lunch and dinner time, it can be slow and harried. Otherwise, it is pleasant and attentive.

Found it by accident, on the best day possible! Lovely staff, very polite and accommodating to the fact I requested a non alcoholic beer !!! But they serve an amazing selection of normal great beers , you need to do there

For the area that the pub is in, the lunch is great value and very tasty. The food also comes out very quickly in case you are in a hurry! They also have a great selection of beer. All in all, one of the better pubs in the area.

We were looking for a coffee between Berkeley Square and Marble Arch and notice this pub had a sign advertising coffee. Warm day and had been walking so the air conditioning was welcome. This is a great looking pub, spotlessly clean with beautiful baskets and window boxes. £5.25 for 2 excellent coffees was quite unexpected in Mayfair. Would like to come back here for a beer, a great environment to enjoy a classic pint of Spitfire.

The epitome of the traditional English pub in a very well heeled part of London. Quite small; with most tables occupied even though I arrived a shade after midday. Excellent service and a reasonably priced half of Guinness. Interesting mix of customer: tourists, international entrepreneurs and finance types.

A lovely pub in a mews behind Berkeley Square in Mayfair. The brewer is Shepherd Neame so the beers are very good, in particular the Spitfire and Whitstable Bay. The food was on point for a pub (fish and chips, burger and chips) and reasonably priced. There are not many tables so if you are keen to eat I would book a table beforehand (you can for lunch, not sure about the evenings). A great London pub in a wonderful spot.

Shepherd Neame beers were really good. be prepared to stand because it gets busy in the evening. when we arrived the clientele had spilled out onto the street. howver despite the busyness, the bar staff were very efficient. no sign of food being served, which was why we had chosen the pub in the first place, so we found a good pizza place close by.

Very traditional pub with good food and great drinks. I went there with friends and family and each time we had really great time. It doesn't get overcrowded. Many great folks come there, nice to have chat with. Very attentive staff, drinks are served quickly.

Stylishly comfortable bar in chic surroundings, frequented by polished City professionals, by elegant local residents, and by savvy tourists. The food menu is simple but tasty and attractively presented. A range of craft ales, quaffable and fine wines, or a nice cup of tea complete the culinary experience. Staff are welcoming and responsive.

It is a lovely Tudorbethan building next to New Bond Street...great location! The interior is small and cosy, the windows are amazing and the atmosphere was great! We felt like we were in the Medieval time, not in the 21st century! There is a good selection of beers. I loved the Camden Town Brewery, it’s a must try :) The staff was friendly and it was all very clean! Higly recommended it!

I wish this could be a minus 5 star review but unfortunately this is the lowest rating. I am a professional who runs a specialist which provides fireplace maintenance throughout central London and have been to this pub not only to drink but eat and have meetings many times. Last week I entered and the barmen/management refused to serve us as they had put up a sign stating "No Site Workers allowed" which is an offence to myself considering that I was only wearing a polo stating that I am providing a service and do not wear high vis, work boots etc. You should also know that I was with 2 other people who all mentioned that we would have liked to eat and that the pub had basically no one in it. I won't be back and I think that it's a joke that a very basic pub such as this which should serve all members of the public has decided to catergorise people and refuse them entry without any actual reasoning....
