Strolling by the canal and fond this place. Got a fantastic service and excellent food and drink, watching the nesting birds. We will be glad to come back!

The Summer House in Little Venice... Oh wow, this place is truly stunning, a delightful hidden gem. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed. I had come by train, and although I was nicely dressed, I was a bit flustered due to the warm weather. Despite this, the front-of-house staff greeted me kindly, showed me to my table, and assured me that if it was too sunny, they would gladly move me to a more comfortable spot. Their manners and warmth were greatly appreciated. I quickly settled into a seat near the canal, which offered beautiful views, though it was a bit too sunny, especially since I was feeling warm and was also wearing Spanx... lol. Eventually, I took up the lovely waitress on her offer to move, which was a smooth and effortless process. Once I was comfortably seated with plenty of cushions, I ordered some champagne, which was delicious and well-priced. My companion arrived shortly after, and we quickly placed our order: Starters: - Scallops without pancetta - Oysters Mains: - Cod - Prawns, which they kindly offered to shell for us And, of course, plenty more Chablis and champagne. Since I'm lactose intolerant, I ordered coffee and vegan ice cream, which they made into an affogato. The freshness and flavor of the food were absolutely wonderful. The scallops (dairy/egg-free) were amazing, followed closely by the oysters and prawns. For some reason, the champagne was creamy and delicious. I left feeling happy, light, but satisfied and content. Thank you to the staff & the wonderful manager whom helped us with the parking situation :). Thank you, I will definitely be back.

Wir wollten nur eine Kleinigkeit essen, haben aber trotzdem den letzten schönen Tisch direkt am Wasser bekommen. 🤩 Wir hatten die kleine Seafood-Platte, perfekt für einen kleinen Lunch. Service war gut, Ambiente perfekt. Tolle Pause zum Kraft tanken.

Fabulous place with a lovely vibe and stunning setting. We both had the eggs Benedict with a pot of tea and it was spot on. The staff were pleasant and polite. Definitely worth a visit

We were visiting London, as we go maybe twice a year and our friends have been here before, so recommended this for our visit this time.. we booked a table as it was Friday night and quite busy.. we requested water view table which we got.. the warm welcome as we entered made a great impression, then seated to our seats. Lovely bess from the USA was our server and very warm, polite and sweet, she seemed happy to be serving us, nothing to much trouble. Replace our food order and we had pitta bread, with hummus, this was classic lute starter to set the evening off just right. My friend and I had baked cod, husbands had haddock , chips , peas.. all plated food looked well size and presented. The taste was delicious, did not disappoint, I would recommend anyone to visit, you feel like your on the water floating by like the boast going up and down, the calm smooth vibe was just right.. all staff was smiling 😊 and helpful.

Lovely fish restaurant up on the canal side. The owners squeezed us in at short notice and couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was excellent and the staff were particularly helpful.

A great spot on the river we were lucky enough to have an open window seat on a nice day. We visited after being given a voucher for a present. From start to finish service was attentive. Scallops were some of the best I have tasted. Cod and sea bass delicious. We finished with a shared cheese plate. We took a punt on an Austrian wine which was also delicious. Such a nice place to dine we would certainly look to visit in the future.

Dined here whilst away on business. 3x Oysters to start with, which were fresh, well prepared, and incredibly tasty. For the main course, the Stone Bass was exquisite. The fish was a chunky sized fillet, cooked perfectly, accompanied by a lovely menagerie of cockles, pancetta, carrots, and chive mash. A delightful dish all round. Service was fantastic. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. The scenery next to the canal was also brilliant and very picturesque. Highly recommend

Hadn't been back here for some time. It has become more of a fish restaurant by its menu which, of itself is not a problem if you know beforehand. The food was excellent although let down by presentation, hence only 4 stars. It was surprisingly empty of customers despite being advised that they could only give us a booking at precisely quarter of the hour! It was also quite cold by the canal when we arrived and the heaters were not on until requested.

First time here! We came for my birthday and everything was great. Our two children can be hard to please when it comes to food yet here, they both have claimed best meal ever. We’ll definitely be back

We have been abroad for 2 years and as long time customers were delighted to come back. Great ambience, food and service like we remembered.

This shop is good infrastructure and food also very nice. Staffs also good friendly and helpful of the shop.

We didn’t have a reservation so front of house requested we release our table after 90mins, which seemed fair, so we agreed. When she said it a second time i assumed she thought we didn’t hear, she said it again when we sat down and my sense of the place was a developing a negative whiff by the second. Anyway, we ordered and had decent couple of sharing platters. 50mins after entering we were done, so when the waiter came over, we confirmed we didn't want coffee, he once stated they needed the table back. At this stage I had lost my British politeness and asked him to remove the 12.5% service charge. When he spoke his mouth was full of food, which is disgusting by any standard especially when you are on the floor serving. I reminded him that there was no need for him to repeat what the front of house had stated thrice especially as we were leaving 40mins earlier than agreed. Running a busy restaurant is a great and I wish all establishments could enjoy that but don't be rude to your customers, have some manners! I will be telling anyone visiting the area to avoid.

This is one of those places that relies on location, and pretends to be something it really isn't. It is over-priced, and the food lacks finesse. I had the battered haddock, and I have had much better fish and chips in my local pub. The difference is that this cost £22 rather than £14. For the most part, everything is deep fried. The batter was about a cm thick and had clearly been made with no love at all. Dropped into the deep fat frier and left. It was still doughy inside. The real joke was the size of the mushy peas. It came in one of those tiny ramekins you might get mustard in. Literally a couple of teaspoons. Just so you understand, Summerhouse chefs, mushy peas is NOT some sort of expensive truffle-esk thing. So don't try and make it one. Fish and chip shops have been serving it for years by the ladle. The waitress even asked when I ordered if I wanted an extra portion. I asked her why I should need an extra portion, but when it came, I realised. She did give me a second two teaspoonfuls. I am not even sure if this was maybe added as an extra onto my bill? The chips were not gourmet chips. They tasted like, and had the same consistency as, McCann oven chips - nothing special. On my way out, I looked over at the kitchen. 'Chefs' standing around with their hands on their hips watching a bubbling deep fat frier, and amazingly a frying pan. Real chefs move and do not leave a frying pan on its own when flash-frying. The waiter took our wine away without checking that there was still some left in the bottle. I don't think that the sauces were not home made. They certainly didnt taste as if they were, and the alioli didn't taste of garlic at all. I think my tartar sauce was out of a jar. For this price, condiment should be freshly prepared and made in the kitchen. The view was nice, on the canal. Places like this make you realise what value really good restaurants are. An example of this might be Rick Steins in Barnes. I am not advertising, but it is primarily a fish restaurant of a comparative price point. Eat there, and then make your own mind up. Basically, chalk and cheese!

Excellent time, the service is impeccable and attentive. The dishes are delicate and at the same time hearty. The suggested dessert/wine pairings are perfect.

Lovely lunch on Good Friday. I really enjoyed my Halibut. I was looking forward to enjoying the "catch of the day", however, it was salmon. I was disappointed by this as I would not class salmon as a catch of the day fish, especially not on Good Friday. The crab starter made a nice change, and the desert appeared freshly prepared. Great location, and I will look forward to a further visit when the weather is warmer and we can enjoy the alfresco feeling. The service was spot on, too.

We LOVED the food at The Summer House. The staff was attentive and very hospitable. I celebrated my birthday here and they made it so special! The Super Healthy Salad, Mezze and Butternut Squash soup are a must try. We enjoyed the ambiance and if we were from England we’d be sure to come back to this spot. Coming from 2 tourists from the US- this place does not disappoint.

The Summerhouse is on the Regents Canal. It offers a very pleasant dining experience with courteous staff and nicely cooked food. We shared a calamari, and followed that with fishcakes (much better than usual) and lasagne. You could go grander if you wanted. Nice airy space overlooking water.

Had a party with a few friends and as always enjoyed the place. The only reason for a 4 in food is that seabass (the one to share) was excellent but a bit dull.

Really quite average pub with regards to food. Most of the menu is not fish. The meze and the chips are Tesco grade. If you want actual dexterity with fish go to Faber. The interesting surroundings and good service deserve better on the plate.

Food is always delicious. Magda served us, and she is just the best. She deserves a payrise and recognition!!

Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, mainly seafood and fresh fish. Also,there are some interesting vegetarian options. I tried the vegetarian lasagne it was amazing. Highly recommended 👌

The environment is good. In winter, the glass by the river is not wiped clean, and the scene by the river is average. But the interior decoration is very good and very warm. The appetizer is quite salty. The side dishes are quite delicious.

Stayed in London for 4 days. Ate the first night here and it was so good we went back the last night. Food is absolutely perfect and the personel is super friendly. The wine is also very good and the looks of the restaurant are lovely. I would definitely come back and tell people about this!

My entire department had an absolutely fantastic Christmas lunch at The Summerhouse on Thu 7th Dec - everyone enjoyed themselves and we all agreed it was the best Christmas lunch we've had in years! The food was absolutely delicious and all served beautifully and brought out at the same time (FYI whilst the restaurant normally specialises in seafood, they do a full Christmas lunch with Turkey & all the trimmings). There were 21 of us and the staff were wonderful throughout and everything ran without a hitch. It was lovely to have our whole team altogether for the first time since Dec 2019 and it was made all the more special by the food, drink, decor & staff at this utterly delightful restaurant. We can't wait to have an excuse to come back in the spring to try their seafood cuisine!

Staff were wonderful but food was overpriced and average. One of our starters had been sitting in the fridge and was cold and tasteless.

We had Magda as an our waitress; she was very sweet, helpful, and professional! The food was phenomenal and the seafood was very fresh. The resturant itself had a wonderful view on the canal, we will definitely come back again 🙂

What a great place for lunch! The restaurant is a converted house boat, which added to the great atmosphere. I had risotto Primavera, which was beyond delicious!

Very nice restaurant for a special occasion and not too far from public transport. We had a lovely seafood salad and great red wine.

We had a really lovely dinner at the summerhouse restaurant last night. We had to move tables as the first table was right next to the canal and it was too cold despite having heaters on. The food was delicious I had gazpacho followed by the salmon special with mashed potato and artichokes yummy. ! My only criticism is a waiter was sorting out the cutlery and putting it away in a drawer whilst we were eating and making the most terrible annoying noise and then Going round the empty tables to pick up glasses and clanging them together. We complained and he smirked at us and kept on making the most Irritating loud noise. It wasn’t late so Why not wait til everyone had left before sorting cutlery and clearing the tables. Surely the customers are more important.

Such a relaxed atmosphere and very friendly attentive staff who made the evening a delight. We had the fishcakes and the Salmon special of the day which were so wholesome and tasty and very filling! We will certainly be returning.

I was sorely disappointed to attended this restaurant on a summers day for my boyfriend’s birthday with his family (we had not booked in advance but saw that tables were available) upon entering the restaurant the front of house looked at us all and looked back at the empty tables with no reservations plaques on them I might add and proceeded to tell us that there was a private function and we were not able to be served. If this was the case why was there no sign outside the restaurant to indicate such event was happening. It was incredibly disheartening especially on such a special day.

Exquisite dinning at this treasure in little Venice. The interior decor is accentuated by the river bank streaming alongside the restaurant. This lovely ambiance is well-matched with the incredible food at the Summerhouse. The quality of their seafood is commendable. My friend and I had the pleasure of sharing their fresh oysters, seared scallops, and popcorn shrimp as starters, followed by the catch of the day. A memorable experience. It goes without saying that the team of waiters deserve much credit for their service. They were attentive to our needs, friendly, and offered excellent recommendations for food and drink. The prices were quite steep, but this is standard for most of London. If you’re in the mood for a treat, I suggest keeping Summerhouse on your fine dining list.

A 10’ a piedi da Paddington station nella piacevolissima zona di Little Venice. Ristornate molto curato con affaccio sul Grand Union Canal. Servizio ottimo così come l’accoglienza. Cibo molto buono, prevalentemente pesce. Il Risotto Primavera merita molto. Buona lista dei vini. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Prenotare con anticipo.

Turkce asagida I was invited by my friends who live near by the restaurant. The location is very nice right on the cannal. I didnt know places like this existed in London. Was a very pleasent surprise. As my friends said not the Bosphorus but pleasent. The food was good and the service was very efficient. Mekanin yakininda oturan arkadaslarim davet ettiler. Londra'da bir kanal ustunde boyle bir yer tamamen surpriz oldu. Arkadaslarim Bogaz degil bizde ancak bu var dediler. :-) Ferah guzel bir yer yemekler ve servis de guzeldi.

Was an amazing patio scene. Beautiful flowers on the patio overlooking the canal. Spent the meal looking out at the ducks, swans and geese parading by. Food was good but the patio made the magic.

Nicely located restaurant, just a walking distance from Little Venice. Good seafood options, Summerhouse sharing platter was delicious, everything fresh and tasty (popcorn shrimps top). Nice and professional staff, they were booked out but still managed to squeeze us in.

Nice location and atmosphere, but it’s definitely overpriced for an average experience: no bread butter or anything served before starter, food is bland, service is a bit rushed. We came back after years and we didn’t feel as a relaxed experience as we remembered. Edit Respond to the restaurant: Restaurants at your price range doing this as a welcoming gesture. Your suggestion is that we should have paid for the bread and pay the overall dinner for 120£. For an average of experience: no thank you.

Very surprised about how nice and lovely this place is! On a sunny day in London, this is a little piece of heaven, offering tranquility and good food. The price is steep but the atmosphere and canal view makes it worth while. Exceptional waiters too.

Ambience is definitely lovely on a sunny day. The house is quite full, even for lunch time we booked table at 2pm. The signature seafood plates was 💯, however the other main full sea bass was quite tasteless. Waitress was nice, helping us move to near river seat when next door guests gone. Avg 40-50/ppl.

Really lovely setting out on the canal. Food was nice too, very simple, we just found it a bit overpriced. For 2 people we got popcorn shrimp and scallops to share, a steak and the halibut for mains with a side of beans, knickerbocker glory for dessert and two beers for £70 each.

I will not talk about the food but the tall guy at the entrance, he was arrogant and not welcoming he made us feel uncomfortable. The view is okay but the tall and arrogant person is the worst. Will I go back? Don't think so. I would never sit and have my dinner if my guest wasn't with me.

A brunch spot decorated with fake flowers along the river. We came when it was raining, but we were still able to sit right next to the river since there were plastic curtains. Food wise, the beet salad and the fish special were my favorite. It was a bit pricey for the quality of the food. Nothing really stood out about this place aside from location.

Le service ,effectué par ce dernier , fut bienveillant, souriant et très professionnel. Dans un très beau décor, nous nous sommes régalés avec de très bons plats aux saveurs délicieuses et bien équilibrées. La vu sur le canal rajoute un plus pour l’atmosphère . Je le referai les yeux fermés lors de ma prochaine visite à Londres.

A nice place for a special meal, especially in the summer as you are right on the canal. Fresh menu with variety of fish dishes and there are options if you aren’t a shellfish eater.

The venue is beautiful and the service was excellent. We had the fish and chips but the batter was too thick - crisp on the outside and soggy and undercooked on the inside. The fish itself was well cooked but they need to work on their batter.

Enjoyed delicious foods and nice wines with fantastic canal views. The team was quite smooth for accommodating us in a large group.

The Summerhouse is located near Little Venice, open to one side with a view on the canal. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a relaxed ambiance. The menu selection is mainly seafood, but also with some vegetarian and meat options. Scallops, popcorn shrimps, seared rock. bass all to be recommended. Excellent attentive service. The service was absolutely fantastic, really helpful, really friendly and no request seemed like a "big ask". The food was super fast and tasted amazing. I had the seared tuna, which was perfectly done with a high sear. The calamari was also impressive. This place is beautifully situated too. I am already excited to return to this beautiful local gem.
