Positives: - The venue is comfortable and well decorated. Negatives: - For brunch, food was not great. For the price tag, they need to seriously step up. - The service was appalling. Our waiter was rude to 2 members of our party on multiple occasions. She also seemed very uninterested in what sort of experience we were having. This was raised with the manager. Do not recommend, go spend your time and money at places where you’ll feel more welcomed.

A late brunch that truly hit the spot, made even better by a rare sunny afternoon in London. The atmosphere was lovely, and a sneak peek at the mains has me already planning my next visit.

I booked this for my husbands birthday lunch and what a treat it was. From the initial welcome to the service throughout by every member of staff and not forgetting the outstanding food. I would highly recommend this little gem, we will certainly be back. Thank you 😊

Super delicious place in London, it doesn't feel like you're in the big city at all. Got the most delicious fish and chips, definitely one of the best I've had. Definitely worth a visit.

Came here for brunch during the long weekend and overall had a really good time. We got assigned a table by the canal which was definitely a perk. The brunch menu was quite small but you could still find most of the traditional breakfast dishes like Full English, Egg Benedict, Scrambled Egg on Toast and etc. We went for the French Toast with Banana and Maple Syrup and the Scrambled Egg on Toast with Bacon & Mushrooms, and both turned out to be fairly delicious. The dishes were also reasonably priced for the portion and quality, and we ended up paying less than £15 per person for the everything.

Los huevos royales eran buenos con una yema perfecta 👍

If you like fish, the Summerhouse is the place to go!

This restaurant is lovely, the decor and attention to detail is everything you want from a dining experience. I visited on a warm, sunny, spring day and really enjoyed my time, I would recommend prebooking however me and my sister were very lucky to get a walk in booking for two. The staff were attentive and friendly, however I think the food left a little something to be desired. Perhaps it was a faux pa on my end riding steak at a seafood restaurant but I felt there was need for a gravy to add more depth to the flavour of the dish and the sirloin was quite a thin cut. Saying that, the prawn popcorn and the special, pan fried hake with the trimmings was delicious! The prawn cocktail I’d avoid… I really didn’t think this was anything to write home about and the large prawn was not deveined but shelled which was a tad confusing to me, it might as well have been left whole. Overall I really enjoyed my visit and will be back again!

I had mussels which smelled like poop, so I asked for them to check it and said this is how mussels would smell! I always eat mussels and this is DEFINITELY not how it’s supposed to taste like or smell like. I did not like how she defended that the mussels weren’t edible, and this is a sign of ignorance and that they usually serve it rotten. The fish and chips was good. Not coming back.

Lovely food, attentive service at a great setting on the canal.

Hadn't been back here for some time. It has become more of a fish restaurant by its menu which, of itself is not a problem if you know beforehand. The food was excellent although let down by presentation, hence only 4 stars. It was surprisingly empty of customers despite being advised that they could only give us a booking at precisely quarter of the hour! It was also quite cold by the canal when we arrived and the heaters were not on until requested.

Delightful restaurant located in London’s Little Venice along the canal by Paddington. We had a beautifully sunny day to enjoy this wonderful restaurant and the food was fantastic. Great place to entertain clients or for friends and loved ones to get together. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town.

We had a group of about 18 organised to have dinner. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful in the run up and on the night. Food was fantastic. Definitely coming again!

Wonderful Sunday lunch today with my family. Great ambience, amazing food especially the special of the day. The charming manageress welcomed us and found the best table. Service was impeccable.

Food was delicious and fantastic value. Service too was superb. The restaurant decor is great, this is a definite visit over Summer. The wine selection could be slightly bigger but definitely not a deal breaker. Will visit again.

Food was average. Lacking in seasoning, undercooked meat, fish served with head on it, poor passed orderves, and below average wines. Servers handed plates and cutlery to us to hand out to each other. Impossible to get out from table without asking 5 other people to move. Coat check took 35 minutes to get coat back. Nothing exceptional. Don’t understand ratings.

The Summerhouse is a great spot for fresh and delicious food. If you love salad, you have to try the super healthy salad, it's light, refreshing and full of flavour.

Breakfast was lovely and really tasty. I had scrambled eggs on toast which was delicious, my partner had the French toast which he really enjoyed. Staff were lovely, gave us a great table and decor was stunning. I had told them it was my partner’s birthday, and they surprised him with a scoop of ice cream - which was the perfect start to the birthday celebrations ✨❤️

The place is very quaint. Service was so so and food wasn't up to the standard I thought it would be. Maybe because it was New Years Day and they had a couple of big parties. I would give it another try in the summer months, tho

Principalmente un restaurante de pescado (una espléndida selección de pescado que se ofrece - la merluza y el fletán eran platos perfectamente equilibrados disfrutados por mis compañeros comensales) tienen excelentes opciones para los vegetarianos y comedores de carne también. El risotto de calabaza butternut estaba absolutamente delicioso al igual que los ñoquis. Sirvieron excelentes cócteles y todo fue servido con encanto y entusiasmo italiano.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the summerhouse. The service was exceptional—staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We decided to dive in here for a late lunch on Thursday and weren’t disappointed. We couldn’t resist the monk fish special and have to say it was absolutely stunning! We finished if by sharing the crumble which too was delicious. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating. Thank you Summerhouse..!

Lugar ideal - ambiente, comida, servicio, vino! Hemos visitado varias veces y seguiremos volviendo. Nos sentamos atrás por primera vez y nos encantó / mientras que junto al canal es maravilloso en el verano, cuando las noches se acercan y hace un poco más de frío, la zona trasera es maravillosa! Vinimos con dos amigos y lo pasamos de maravilla - todos tuvimos el mercado especial Merluza, que fue maravilloso! Volveremos... de nuevo!

Food: Bland, over priced, boring. Service: friendly and helpful. I’ve had better fish and chips cooked from frozen in a random chippie. Calamari starter was somehow super quick to arrive and yet overcooked. Rather head to the pub around the corner.

The Summer House is my favourite restaurant in London, due to the outstanding atmosphere, location, service and exquisite cuisine. Very consistent with first class food and service

Initially we’d arrived here for brunch . However we didn’t realise it’s only on at the weekend. Food was really nice. There is a good choice.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. From start to finish they were professional, friendly, helpful, too many superlatives to mention. From our friendly greeting upon arrival - we were early - not a problem. We ourselves took a while to get ourselves seated (who sits where, when you are 12 in number). The waiter (head I think) was knowledgeable about the wine that would suit our meals, going to great length to ensure we had what we wanted. The service was timely - not rushing our decisions and allowing us a lot of chopping and changing. We're not a difficult group but we like what we like and they were patient and friendly and kind. The food was delicious, the fish so fresh and the sauces tasty. It's not always just about the food, I really can't praise the staff enough. The cost is a little on the high side for us pensioners but we think it's worth it. Finally shortly after we left the restaurant they called us as someone had left their handbag - need I say more. Well done Summerhouse - we look forward to a return visit in the not too distant future. :-)

The Summerhouse was part of a wonderful lunch day out. We travelled on a canal boat from Camden and decided to have lunch at Summerhouse, a fantastic dinning experience, I would have given a 5 star review but I felt the portions were a little on the small side.

Great little hideaway on the canal loved it

A very pleasant working lunch, sat with a nice view of the canal as the early Autumn-sun shone. The food/seasoning was a little too subtle for my palette but the ingredients were of good quality and it was presented well. I had the calamari starter and sea bass special main course. I can't fault the very friendly, attentive and professional service. I'd happily return to try something with a bit more zing.

We have been coming here for years and always have a good meal. The staff are friendly and helpful and the choice of food caters for everyone.

So delicious, the pan fried sea bream on bed of spinach is very good. The tomato and ricotta salad is light and fresh.

A very nice restaurant with good views of the canal. We had a great dinner and were very well advised by the waitress. I had sea bass for dinner and it was delicious.

The canal side location is unbeatable and an amazing ambience even on cloudy days. It was the best service we had in our weeklong trip to London.

The Summer House in Little Venice... Oh wow, this place is truly stunning, a delightful hidden gem. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed. I had come by train, and although I was nicely dressed, I was a bit flustered due to the warm weather. Despite this, the front-of-house staff greeted me kindly, showed me to my table, and assured me that if it was too sunny, they would gladly move me to a more comfortable spot. Their manners and warmth were greatly appreciated. I quickly settled into a seat near the canal, which offered beautiful views, though it was a bit too sunny, especially since I was feeling warm and was also wearing Spanx... lol. Eventually, I took up the lovely waitress on her offer to move, which was a smooth and effortless process. Once I was comfortably seated with plenty of cushions, I ordered some champagne, which was delicious and well-priced. My companion arrived shortly after, and we quickly placed our order: Starters: - Scallops without pancetta - Oysters Mains: - Cod - Prawns, which they kindly offered to shell for us And, of course, plenty more Chablis and champagne. Since I'm lactose intolerant, I ordered coffee and vegan ice cream, which they made into an affogato. The freshness and flavor of the food were absolutely wonderful. The scallops (dairy/egg-free) were amazing, followed closely by the oysters and prawns. For some reason, the champagne was creamy and delicious. I left feeling happy, light, but satisfied and content. Thank you to the staff & the wonderful manager whom helped us with the parking situation :). Thank you, I will definitely be back.

Setting was amazing, we visited the Summerhouse recently on a lovely sunny afternoon. We sat perfectly by the water with an amazing view. The decor inside the restaurant matched the lovely summer ambience. We ordered the Risotto for lunch which was very tasty and flavoursome. The fish and chips were spot on and we also ordered the daily special which was the Stone Bass and Truffle Mash. An exciting dish that was accompanied with a lovely pepper salsa. Really enjoyed my lunch here with the extra special views.

Wir wollten nur eine Kleinigkeit essen, haben aber trotzdem den letzten schönen Tisch direkt am Wasser bekommen. 🤩 Wir hatten die kleine Seafood-Platte, perfekt für einen kleinen Lunch. Service war gut, Ambiente perfekt. Tolle Pause zum Kraft tanken.

A gem in Little Venice! I am so glad that I chose this restaurant for my birthday celebration. The location is enchanting and my guests enjoyed their food. The host/manager Ilja( hope the spelling is correct) was not only very professional but also truly charming! His attention to detail was exceptional. He was very helpful with the planing of this special dinner. Our water( sorry forgot the name- a tall Italian young man) looked after us extremely well. I was also very touched that the restaurant staff surprised me with a candle on my dessert and a happy birthday song. Thank you, Ilja for adding this thoughtful touch. We will definitely return!

Catch of the day was tasty. Fish and chips were very oily and not pleasant batter. We also had Asian style broccoli which was disappointing. Last time we ate there food was excellent but now I don't know if we'll be back.

The tall Maitre’D/Host at the entrance was exceptionally rude. I have never seen hospitality staff at that level act in that way. He was very passive aggressive, and even asked “and, do you still want a table of what?” He also told us there were no tables next to the window, despite then seating couples at 4ppl tables there right after. It is a massive shame to have someone with so much attitude be the face of the restaurant at the door. The waiting staff and food were both very good. Unfortunately, that impression left a terrible taste in our mouths and we will not be coming back. Nor would we recommend it to our friends after that experience.

I called and made a same-day reservation which was easy with the help of the lovely Georgia over the phone. I requested a table by the canal which was delivered on. Service was excellent from all the staff. The food was great and fairly priced given that the restaurant is in central London and in such a beautiful unique spot. The atmosphere was relaxed and I would highly recommend as a nice place that is beautiful, humble and not shishi or trying too hard.

Lovely restaurant right on the canal bank. Well ⁹laid out and good views even if you don't get a canal side table. One thing, if you order the fish and chips, be prepared for one big 🐟 on your plate.

A refreshing (literally) restaurant on the canal that ticks all the boxes - professional service -good food- great ambience. Much more tranquil than their sister restaurant further up the canal. A place to linger and relax.

A very lovely and special place directly on the canals in Little Venice. I would recommend coming on a nice day as the restaurant can be mostly open-air. The oysters and wine were excellent! Cannot wait to be back.

We came here for my partners birthday meal and the customer service was amazing. Kat was our waitress (but all stuff were friendly) and she was very attentive, friendly and polite. She accommodated to our dietary requests with ease, thank you for a great service and the food was GREAT!

The food gets better and better, particularly the Sunday roast. Service is friendly and prompt (though they could do with being told not to reach across the customer’s place - a pedantic point to make, given the overall experience.)
