Vault & Vine in Bromley

Love the drinks here. Came once in the summer when it was heaving and almost too busy, and in autumn when it was empty - not sure when the best time to visit is in terms of ambience but all the matters to me is that the drinks are amazing! Best bar in Orpington/Petts Wood area. Staff are lovely too.

What a Sickly place full of mutton dressed as lambs and sugar daddy’s all so fake and full of women who think they are better than you and a Barbie a living in a Barbie world this place clearly thinks it’s up London and the prices are ridiculous what a place full fake bakes!!

Had afternoon tea with a friend was lovely, I'm coeliac so everything was gf for me and veggie for my vegetarian friend. Lovely setting, we were given a private room. Reasonably priced too.

Had an absolutely fantastic afternoon tea here for a baby shower (22 people), which rolled onto a dj and a dance. The staff were amazing and accommodating, food was beautiful and plenty of it. It caters for all ages. Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning.

Went into Petts Wood centre after working nearby to check it out. This was a really nice bar, and we felt very welcomed. Great cocktails also! Would go back if in the area again.

Amazing afternoon tea for my SIL’s baby shower. Staff were attentive, friendly and they gave us an extra plate of ham sandwiches 😆

I was just stopping by. Customer service was nice. The menu looks great. I've passed this place many times. But I think I'm on a different level. You can't just walk in by yourself. It's a local up-market place. Great to hold a birthday party or hire the place out for private meetings. But it is a lively place when I pass it on the weekend nights. 🫶🏾👍🏾

We enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails for my Husband's 60th, I couldn't ask for better service. The cocktails were delicious and brought to our table. A welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and good music. Definitely would recommend. We didn't order food as we were going onto dinner afterwards. We have had an afternoon tea here before, which was also very good.

I purchased a voucher for the sparkling afternoon tea which states availability for Monday-Sunday 12pm-5pm. When I tried to book it was only available Thursday-Sunday 12-5pm. I emailed and received a response telling me that it is indeed only Thursday-Sunday and they would inform the website designers. This has not been changed and it still states Monday-Sunday when you purchase a voucher so be mindful of this when booking. When we arrived it was empty and we were greeted by a lovely lady and shown to our table. The inside is beautifully decorated and we were made to feel really welcome. We received our glass of Prosecco and then our food arrived. The sandwiches were lovely, although it was most definitely not freshly cooked gammon but ham out of a packet. The scones were warm, fresh and delicious. The cakes weren’t great to be honest and I’ve taken another star off after seeing some photos of the afternoon tea on previous reviews. Ours were tiny and not very fresh at all in comparison. We had almost finished our food before we were offered tea and as there were no other customers the staff were nowhere to be found. I was disappointed there was no green tea available even though they offered decaffeinated, mint, and lemon & ginger as well as Earl Grey and English Breakfast tea. The mint tea wasn’t fresh mint and was a standard teabag that was left in the pot making it far to strong and undrinkable. While we were finishing our food and tea the barman appeared and stood in the doorway near our table to smoke a cigarette which wafted over to us. He didn’t even have the good manners to stand outside properly. After an hour we were pretty much done. My Mum wanted to use the toilet and was directed to the disabled toilet downstairs to save her walking upstairs which was very thoughtful. I then went to the bar to tell the barman we were finished and could we settle up. I explained I had a voucher and needed to get my booking deposit returned to me. He said that he didn’t know how to do this and it would need to be the manager but she was in the middle of something. He then went back to what he was doing so I politely asked him to go and get her as we were being collected outside in the next few minutes. The manager came downstairs and refunded my deposit and took my voucher information efficiently and was genuinely lovely. I’m not sure we would visit again for afternoon tea as it just didn’t seem worth the money. I may pop in for a cocktail at some point because the decor is stunning and the manager was so friendly.

The rudest door man I’ve ever come across in my life! I have been here many times since it’s opened it’s been ok, went for a friends birthday 3 ladies, we were told we couldn’t come in a full it clearly wasn’t but it wasn’t the fact we couldn’t get in it was the rudeness and the way the door man spoke to us. He is the most arrogant door man I’ve ever come across in my 30 years of going out and for that reason I will never go to this place again. So many choices of lovely bars spend your money else where!

Its a really nice place, had a bottomless brunch there in the Summer. Its always buzzing but impossible to get a table as its always packed solid.

Visited on Friday evening for the first time, I know it has been open for ages but live gets on the way. Anyways, I was thinking I would be the oldest one there and felt anxious, but hey there were people at different ages. Great buzzing atmosphere, music and service were good too. We had a couple of cocktails and some other drinks, regular standard prices. No idea why some people saying is overpriced. Next to book: their afternoon tea with my girls

Nice atmosphere and drinks choices however past 9pm it's like it becomes a club but without the space for it, difficult to get to the bar and toilet and took ages to get drinks

We had my daughters baby shower here. The afternoon tea was lovely, very fresh and good value for money. The service was spot on and we were made to feel really welcome.

Another good afternoon/ evening in V&V, good drinks, good service and a great atmosphere. Thanks to Courtney / Nathaniel keeping the drinks flowing, we will be booking in for the pre Xmas soiree. We know you can’t keep all the people happy all the time, but I / we always walk out feeling that we’ve had a good time, where we are welcomed and looked after. Keep it up a different and enjoyable experience to the usual pubs, or down at heel local watering holes.

OMG! Towie meets Love island! It was awful. Like Madame tudauds! Fake plastic women with attitude. Selfies galore. Look at me ! I'm so gawgus? Really you look awfull love. Love me love myself. The place was more like a comedy store. NOW FOR THE best part. THE SATFF ARE PROGRAMMED TO SERVE YOU DOUBLES AND CHARGE YOU FOR THEM WEATHER YOU WANT THEM OR NOT! The bar is slow and you Will wait a minimum or 15 mins to get a drink. I can honestly say this is by far the worst venue I have ever visited. BUT ON A PLUS SIDE .... If you want an evening of watching semi naked women taking selfies of themselves and grown men old enough to be parents making fools of themselves whilst spending a fortune buying drinks to get there wicked ways this is definitely the place to come!! Over priced! Over rated and definitely a comedy club more than a so called wine bar !!!

What could be a great asset to Petts Wood, some of the male serving staff are very rude, unfriendly, unhelpful and lazy. One of the barman was extremely rude and unhelpful and makes you wonder what he is doing there. Puts you off returning.

Came here last week and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. A week later, the barman was the rudest most unhelpful person you could ever wish to meet. A disgrace and puts you off visiting again.

Wednesday 3rd August I was taken here by my friend for afternoon tea with bottomless prosecco. We had come on the bus which was hot, and we were greeted by the most delightful waitress, and the AC was working well. We asked for water which came immediately with ice and lemon. We then had prosecco and commenced the afternoon tea. The sandwiches were delicious, super fresh and without crusts. I mentioned it was my birthday and the waitress brought us 2 shots of a strawberry liquor on the house - a nice touch. We were there for well over 2 hours and she brought us a few more sandwiches. The food served was well balanced and not too much cake. We were also offered tea or coffee and opted for 2 lattes. Our glasses were topped up without asking and also some more water was brought without asking, The seating was excellent and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We hope to return to try one of their sharing platters with a glass of fizz.

Had afternoon tea here recently. Food was really good, and there was a great atmosphere with music and dancing later on. Our server Courtney was fantastic. She seemed to be running around between all the tables and was so polite, friendly and attentive. We didn’t have to wait for our drinks even though she was busy, she was always there topping them up before we asked. We’ll definitely be back.

The worst Afteroon tea I have ever been to. I have never in my life wanted to walk out of a place and leave the food or not pay but I was sorely tempted but in the end too polite to do so. We only ate it because we had paid some money in advance. 1. We asked for no salmon sandwiches when booking and when we got there they had still provided salmon sandwiches. 2. The waitress made alternative sandwiches herself - ham and mustard, with so much mustard it burnt all of our noses and made our eyes water. 3. The scones were approx 2cm in height, so hard we nearly broke the place to cut them. 4. After having to actually ask for the tea - baring in mind there was one other couple in the place. The tea tasted stale and had so much scale floating on the top. 5. And finally after using the toilet a member of staff Lazarus? Asked me 'oh what were you doing up there' and then laughed? I was just a bit shocked- completely inappropriate and unprofessional what ever reason he asked the question for. It must have been the straw that broke the camels back because it really really upset me to the point i was visibly shaking. 6. I informed the female member of staff of this when she brought the bill over and she could see how it had affected me and she apologised, the male member of staff did not. She said she would speak to the manager right now. When she returned she put the bill back on the table and started to walk away and I actually had to ask so have you spoken to the manager and she said oh no he's not in? And then said she tried to ring him but got no answer... right. She took the service charge off and said she had no authority to take anything else off. I wasn't going to pay the service charge anyway as a number of times they had left the building to just chill outside! Anyway rant over. The interior was nice and the bread was soft...literally the only positives. I hope no one else has to experience such poor inappropriate service in the future.

I have had a lot of afternoon teas and this was by far the worst I've ever had. On menu there were a selection of different afternoon teas but we weren't asked which one we'd like just told to let them know when we wanted our food and then it was just plonked in front of us. We had to request tea to be brought to the table even though it's supposedly afternoon tea (the clue is in the name). No idea if there were different kinds of tea to drink as we weren't given the option. The food was awful. The ham sandwiches had so much mustard on them, we choked, the scones were so flat and hard they were basically biscuits, and the cakes looked like a child could have made them. Service was awful despite there being only one other table to wait on. Our plates were cleared away, including the saucers and spoons for the tea cups, while were still drinking our tea. The staff clearly wanted us gone as quick as possible so they could get back to joking around and hanging out together outside in the sunshine. A male staff member asked one of our party what they'd been doing in the toilets when they returned from the bathroom and then laughed, which was really weird and inappropriate. I've never experienced that anywhere ever and I don't understand why they would ask anyone that. Definitely wouldn't recommend and won't ever be returning!

Me and some friends came in for some Christmas eve drinks to celebrate together. We had an excellent time with a great view of the place, Billy the manager with the tattoos made sure we had an excellent time, served us quickly and checked in regularly with us. Thank you for the wonderful time and definitely recommend coming in for some drinks.

Went here for afternoon tea with my partner and we were very impressed. We had plenty of mini sandwiches (in 3 different flavours, all tasty) and loads of cake - so much so that we ended up taking home a lot of it, so it felt like it was good value for money. Firstly a joke, what do you call a night club that's open during the day with cake? Vault & Vine. I came here as a guest of a party, when I arrived I was told by the host of the party that they had given away one of the booked tables. She was quite upset. When the afternoon tea arrived I was wowed by the looks of the cakes, but then dismayed to see the size of the sandwiches which were about as small as something you'd give to a toddler. Although the cakes looked lovely, in my opinion they were all show and not much in taste. But for me the biggest let down/ failure is that fact I've never had to shout, literally shout to someone next to me while having afternoon tea. The music was so loud and we asked several times if it could be turned down a little but to no avail, It was awful. Unfortunately the best thing was taking the cakes in a takeaway box over to the pub opposite to enjoy them and be able to have a nice chat with some of the party guests.

My friends and i really enjoyed ourselves last Wednesday! Even though it was the last night before lockdown, the staff did their best to give everyone a good night considering the circumstances. Everyone wore masks and followed guidelines for covid which was important.. cant wait till it opens up again. Highly recommend for a great night out :)

Very disappointing afternoon tea. Went with friends one of whom is celiac so ordered a gluten free tea ( in advance). It was poor to say the least .It was assumed that because she was gluten free she was vegetarian, not the case , so she had plain egg and cucumber sandwiches.Her cake selection was unimaginative and fruit given as a substitute.Would not recommend ! The service was not good. No one came to our table to take an order and on each occasion we needed something, ie hot water more tea and other drinks we had to catch a waiters eye. At no time were we asked if everything was to our satisfaction.. The scones had had obviously been frozen and were horrible. Dry and dense. Not pleasant to eat even with cream and jam! The tea when it did arrive, about 15 mins after the food was tepid and teapots half filled Sadly not the afternoon tea experienced we anticipated . The one good thing was the carrot cake , which was delicious. Needless to say we won't be having tea there again.
