Food was nice staff really welcoming and service good could do with clearing up dropped food on floors beneath tables though

Always a great atmosphere and staff and added bonus of a Quiz night on Wednesdays!

Always my goto when in Orpington High Street

The tapas were amazing with lots of vegetarian options.The service was great and during Christmas there were many activities to keep the kids busy. The ambience was quirky in a nice way and had a good vibe.

Ok but not if you want to eat a lot go to spoons

Disappointing. We love the lounge chain and generally seek them out all over so it was disappointing to discover that the one closest to us was not up to par. We just stopped in for an evening drink and snack. The milkshakes were watery and flavourless and the chips were so meagerly portioned it was almost beyond belief. £3.80 for each of these teeny tiny bowls that were not even full. (Photo of portions untouched) The staff were helpful and pleasant, and as with all the lounges they have an amazingly family friendly vibe but that’s not enough to bring me back when the food and drinks served were so poor. Am hoping this is a one off for the chains and not a sign of dipping standards.

Based on the food I was served on the day, this place is a fantastic spot for lunch. The chicken club ciabatta was presented well & piled up with filling; very tasty & filling along with a side of fries. Arriving at the Pato Lounge, you essentially seat yourself. Someone comes over to welcome you, advises to find a seat & order up at the bar when you’re ready. Personally I believe table service would suit better but this isn’t an issue. All drinks & good are brought out to you. Coffees are okay, not as strong as I would usually like. The venue itself is interesting, lots of decorative details to admire. The team on the day were young; again, not an issue, but no sense of leadership. If I did have an issue, who would have managed this. From what I saw it was “managers day off”. Tables needed clearing throughout our visit, but the team were standing in a group chatting, or eating food at the pass. The toilets also needed attention. (Sorry, but they had the toilet bin company in when I needed the loo; a male attendant, no warning. I feel the area should have been closed off for a few minutes while they did their job. The guy also continued to remove the waste through the restaurant. The lady on the bar signed the tablet and continued to make my friends drink without washing her hands.) I’ll probably visit again, I’m not a local so it’s not a regular for me.

Really enjoyed my gluten free meal! I went with my family and the service was great. Our food came on time. The ambience was child friendly and that’s a big plus! All in all I will be back.

Dropped in for a glass of wine and pleased to find a warm welcome and comfy armchairs. We didn't eat, but i did cast my eye over the extensive menu for future reference 👍🏻

We decided to eat here for the first time for a special birthday as a family of four. So glad we did as we all were absolutely stunned by the food and drinks highly recommend the milkshakes! Prices are very good for the food and drinks, the decor is very comfy and cosy, staff are very friendly with great speedy service. We will defo be back now we have found you guys, thanks so much !

What a lovely cosy place , perfect for families. Visited them with my family for a dinner. Staff was courteous and they don’t push meals on you. You can relax and enjoy your food in luxury of your time. We loved all what we order right from drinks , tapas , mains and sundaes . Fired chicken with Bombay spices was extraordinary and I loved the bang bang chicken with noodles the most. Will revisit soon. Thanks

Went to the branch in Orpington with my 2 sister-in-laws today 19th Jan for lunch. Really looking forward to the lunch as my sister in law had ventured up from Biddenden. 2 of us ordered the buttermilk chicken ciabatta and a potion of chips ( thank goodness) and the third ordered buttermilk chicken, chips and slaw + we had 3 flavoured sodas. The staff were fine and the sodas were tasty. Our lunches arrived and I was shocked to see what had been sent out of the kitchen. My sister in laws chicken was black around the edges and tough, which must be hard to achieve as the buttermilk makes the chicken really tender. We called the waiter back and he returned to the kitchen replacing it with a piece of chicken which hadn't be cremated, he did offer us some drinks which we declined.by this time my other sister in law had started on her ciabatta only to find the chicken in hers was just as bad, I then checked mine, chef must have worked hard to get them all so consistently burnt. None of us finished our meals and paying £50 for 3 drinks and 2 small portions of chips was gutting will not return to pato lounge again and really annoyed that my sister in laws view of restaurants in Orpington has been soured by our visit to your venue.we also had the pleasure of a child that used their ear splitting scream extremely often throughout our meal and beyond I’m sure. Unfortunately I ordered and paid plus 10% before the food arrived I will never use Facility in any restaurant again.

Nice place. Is popular with families. You can scan a code on the table and order and pay from your phone which worked well. I had the soup of the day which was delicious. Service was efficient. There’s a wide range of food and drink options. Minus 1 star for dirty cup and chipped teapot.

First time at Pato lounge, a great local find. Wide variety of food, really friendly and chatty staff, quirky decor, a definite must in an generic, colourless town. Highly recommend.

Food is great. Just make sure the hot chocolate is actually hot.

Lovely place, atmosphere is relaxed, love the decor. Food was ok. Had breakfast and hot chocolate. Sausage was lovely, bacon was a bit overdone for my taste, and the egg tasted odd but otherwise was nice.

I come to pato almost every day, great welcome, service, and food, my beagle loves it there too. Aiden normally serve us with such patience and smile, he is an asset for the business, and the rest of the workers are the same, thanks everyone xx

Great vibe here, not too pricey, food great too but we wanted coffees at the end and had to have huge mugs as they wouldn't do small ones....bit weird. Good place for a catch-up with the girls!

My first visit it's a friendly, laid back/relaxed venue. Party of 7 + 2 children for breakfast,the staff were very friendly and service quick, food pretty good and reasonably priced. All in all, I'd definitely go back

Absolutely amazing food best Iv eaten in London the staff are always checking on you , there very polite I left a tip also for them as they wore so lovely 😻 we will be back with the children next time definitely recommend eating and drinking here :) thanks guys xx

Initial service was bit slow as no one was there to point us to a table, thereafter food was delicious and service was quick as well as friendly staff.

Received Pato’s email featuring the new additions to menu so decided to give Pato Lounge in Orpington another visit as recently we felt it was very disappointing both in the food and staff. So disappointing - still! A new menu didn’t change the usual uncleared tables on entering. This was just before 4pm today, Tuesday 10th October. At the bar, I asked for a glass of red wine, a Merlot - but told it was out of stock. Decided on a glass of Malbec. This was sloshed into a glass and I had to ask for a napkin (none on the bar) to mop it up from the rim and base of the glass - and returned to my table - only to see the glass not only ‘dishwasher stained’ but coated in lipstick - really ? At £7 a glass????? Food was served by the only floor staff member (who was really pleasant) whilst the rest of the staff, including the barman, sat together noisily chatting at the rear of the restaurant. On going into the ladies toilet, there was no toilet paper in cubicle 2. This was at 5pm and although being assured “the lavatories are checked regularly” - no check had taken place since 10am - 7 hours previous !!!! Really???? This is not regular in my opinion. The final straw was a man and small child arrived and whilst the man was so busy on his mobile, the child was climbing over the threshold from the restaurant and onto the patio, then allowed to race around the restaurant on his bike!!!! There are too many issues in this one and final visit. This makes me sad that there are too many hygiene, health and safety, and training issues to ever consider returning- such a shame. Another fantastic evening at Pato. We joined friends to listen to the fabulous Amelia Street band. We do love the music evenings at Pato. We did not eat on this occasion but we usually do and the food is good. The service from Theo and the team is exceptional, very friendly and helpful all round. Great atmosphere so please do continue the music evenings. Great way to spend a Thursday evening. Many Thanks guys.

Had a fantastic night in the Pato Lounge last night. Lovely food, good beer and fantastic live music all contributed to a wonderful atmosphere and a really fun evening. Staff were brilliant too; very attentive and efficient and seemed to be enjoying the buzz of the place. Would highly recommend it!

Went for Sunday lunch, space half full but 40mins wait for food. Dirty/sticky tables , online or order at the bar . Food finally arrived but tasted mediocre at best. Really disappointing Good ambience and dog friendly makes it a good spot for dog owners but probably less competition let’s this place get away with average food and service

Popular cafe in Central Orpington. Pub style menu, lovely decor, friendly staff, accessible WC, but attention to detail absent, e.g. toilet paper and soap containers should have been refilled. The flat white coffee was awful, but the cappuccino ok. There was a lot of background noise caused by loud customers and echoing surfaces.

Nice relaxed place to eat. Dog friendly. The food was delicious. We were a table of 13 and everyone was very happy with their meals. The service was good too. Definitely plan to go back there when we are next in the area.

Love this place, we go for either breakfast or dinner mainly and the food is brilliant and a reasonable price - much on par with a nice pub menu we’d say. Chilled service and buzzy atmosphere on a Friday night, candles for cozy vibes and attentive staff. We really love having this on the high street and will continue to come back 🙌🏼

We visit Lounges frequently, we have two to choose from in our own home town, and in other parts of the Country, but this has got to be the worst we have ever been to. The staff were very lacklustre ( probably due to the heat) and were not interested where we sat (we pushed tables together). When our food arrived, we had to send back the children’s burger (it should never have left the kitchen!), it was a shrivelled piece of burger in two bits. The garlic bread had to go back as it was like a frisbee, and they forgot two items we had ordered. The staff took our orders away, but were not really bothered, and replacements were brought, although it was quite a long wait for the burger to come back. We did speak with one nice young man, who said they were short staffed, and they were all struggling with the heat (there is no air conditioning so we did sympathise as it was uncomfortable in there). We were very disappointed, as this is not the quality of food that we expect from Lounges.

Food is really nice, however the service is very hit and miss, there are a few staff members that don’t treat their guests very well, and are also very rude. Two particular girls are extremely rude and have no respect for their customers. we’ve had this issue twice now with the same people. most of the other staff are polite and do their job unlike those two particular staff members who think they can walk over you because they work there. it’s a nice place i don’t know why they have to ruin everyone else’s night because they clearly don’t like their job.

Went there with group of friends. At the entry there is sign "please wait to be seated" see did. Random guy appeared out of nowhere and said: just sit where you want. We have then ordered breakfast. Although it didn't take long to arrive as wasn't busy it was stone cold!!! Black pudding was half eaten and thin as my hair. When I have asked for refund of dreadful full I have no heard a word of apology. Just bad bad experience

A big thanks to the 2 girls who served us today (24.08.23). We were there this morning with our partially sighted friend, Paul and his Guide Dog, Prygo (pronounced 'per go'). You were so helpful to Paul who I know really appreciated that, thanks once again.

This was soso. I was impressed they had a vegan menu, but it was a very dull one, and quite expensive. They wouldn't make vegan breakfasts for children, so charged me for each individual thing, which ended up being more costly than if they had just charged me for the children's breakfast and just swapped in the vegan products. I had the avocado brunch, which was one small, dry piece of ciabatta with a few bits of avocado on it. That cost £8.50! We would not return.

Extensive vegan menu and relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately my vegan breakfast took way to long to come out was cold and missing an item. That said when I talked to the staff about this they did give me a full refund. My dining partner enjoyed their vegan BLT.

Pato Lounge in Orpington is like all Loungers in that the welcome, atmosphere, food vibe and music all come together to give a great experience every time. My partner and I are blind and we always get help from staff as soon as they see us with our guide dogs. Staff have a common sense and pragmatic approach to the way they interact with us as customers and do everything with a smile and give the impression that nothing is too much trouble. I also think the Loungers vibe and approach brings out the best in the other patrons who go there as you can often become involved in a chance conversation. The Loungers have a huge involvement in the local community and if you’ve not been to one, you really should. Hope they stay independent as that is their uniqueness.

Very nice friendly staff service was mishmash

We don't tend to leave negative reviews, however, on this occasion felt compelled to do so. We visited for the happy hour cocktails on Weds, where you can chose 2 cocktails for a reasonable price of £11 something. We all had 4 cocktails each, fairly quickly as we wanted to get the most out of happy hour (finishes at 8pm) None of us had eaten anything and all had commented on how the drinks hadn't tasted like they had any alcohol in them. We all therefore opted for a Long Island Ice Tea, which if you know your cocktails, you'll know that just one is enough to leave you feeling like you're tipsy. These cocktails, despite being primarily alcohol, tasted like water and only left us feeling very hydrated rather than on the road to merry like we were hoping for. We all therefore decided to leave and eat somewhere else where we could get a real cocktail!🍹 Don't waste your money on fake cocktails!

We had a brilliant night last night at Pato Lounge. A group of friends went to listen to our friends in the band Amelia Street, who are fantastic. The staff are outstanding, great service with a smile. We used the inhouse App for orders and they were really busy but we never waited long for any of our orders. Your staff do you proud. The food is of a good quality and I really enjoyed my Steak Frites. Thank you to you all. Totally recommend for a lively evening.

Returned to Pato Lounge after 3 months following a very disappointing lunch in February. Have to report the experience was very much improved - just like it used to be. Throughly enjoyed our meal, the tables were cleared and cleaned, we were served by a very friendly and attentive Nathalie - a asset to Pato Lounge - who seemed to be running the entire service alone and doing it so well. Thank you Natalie- keep 😊 smiling.

We went for drinks on a Saturday night after eating elsewhere. The drinks were good but the atmosphere was bad . They advertise that they are open until 12 midnight, but at about 10.30 they started blowing the candles out and packing things away ....

Overall a nice place, a bit dark in there (lol) and funky seating but it’s actually a nice place. Only downside drinks took a bit too long to come (15 mins for a drink is too long) otherwise would of given 5 stars
