Wonderful service. Perfect work atmosphere. The quiet rustle of trains above my head was the wind beneath my wings as I trekked through the working day. Cheeky wine at lunch (don’t tell the boss!) had my buzzing. The friendly staff behind the counter had me feeling welcome and seen - they complimented my wolf cut! Good bit of banter that. Just off a tangent from the high street is a lovely location. Not too busy but enough wandering souls and stories to reinforce the sense of community. Sometimes whenlife quietens down i’m reminded of the lonely nights i endured when my brother ran away with my husband back to Panama. So that’s a bonus! Overall, great time would recommend and will be returning. P.s. tuna melt was a bit dense laid down a brick, would personally give it 3-5 working days.

By far, the best long-term run pub in the area, pizza and a pint for a tenner Give it a try.

unable to lunch at Gail's as they have such a poor selection for GF diet. called in on our way to the gallery to check. one choice of cake and one kind of bread. really now with so many people on GF diets I think Gail's could up their game. really wanted to eat there but felt unable to.

Went twice for the Euros, once in the group stage and again in the knockouts. They run a strange policy where you need to send in the name and phone number of everyone in your group, which is quite a chore. I sent this on both times, then on trip 1 we were on the list on the door, but had no table inside. Then on the second visit we weren't on the list on the door but there was a table inside with our name on. It was made worse by the bouncer, who instead of relaying information to and from the bar staff regarding bookings, was watching F1 on his phone instead of letting people in 45 minutes prior to KO. They also run a deposit as a bar tab which is a really irritating way to run bookings of large groups, just pay the deposit back and let everyone pay their own drinks.

Dreadful place. Over priced, very rude owner who is also openly racist towards customers. AVOID. By buying from here you are giving your money to a person known locally to be racist and discriminatory towards black or Muslim customers.

Creo que pueden tener algunas cosas bonitas, pero pedí un poco de pollo con arroz y fue como si pusieran media jarra de 5 especias. Tan difícil de comer tuve que tirarlo. Dicho esto, pueden tener algunas buenas opciones.

This was a great place showing the World Cup - would definitely go back again to watch other sporting fixtures. Big jugs of beer make ordering easy and the atmosphere was great.

From the outside Grinders looks like a nice family owned cafe where you'd expect personal service and nice home cooked food. This is a facade. No one even acknowledged me when I came in making me think they were actually closed. I was eventually told to sit down. I asked what came in the meal deal and was treated like an idiot for not knowing - when my burrito came it was predictable awful and the nachos side was just some doritoes and some microwaved plasticy cheese in a pot. I then asked for a drink (which came with the meal deal) and they gave me a warm can of tango. I was actually laughing to myself at how bad it all was, as the staff were just lounging around and chatting with each other, barely acknowledging the customers. It almost felt like a front for something else!

When we first saw the bar, we suspected that it would be expensive but in fact its prices are very reasonable for London. There was a friendly welcome and prompt service, with a good selection of beers

Just across from Southwark tube. Popular for rolls and sarnies but is a cake desert! Even had none of those advertised on their menu boards. Workmanlike.

This is local to me and I've been visiting for 4 years. I agree the menu is a little confused but it always is well presented and tastes delicious. I'm so sad the amazing cakes are no longer available. They stopped last year I believe. The replacement ones are unfortunately not nearly as wonderful. The staff are usually rally friendly and helpful. I've had one very poor experience with a female staff member being off with my tiny dog but every other time the staff have been lovely and give water and sometimes even treats. Such a great experience! I suspect the rude waitress was just having a bad day so it won't put me off going again :)
