This is local to me and I've been visiting for 4 years. I agree the menu is a little confused but it always is well presented and tastes delicious. I'm so sad the amazing cakes are no longer available. They stopped last year I believe. The replacement ones are unfortunately not nearly as wonderful. The staff are usually rally friendly and helpful. I've had one very poor experience with a female staff member being off with my tiny dog but every other time the staff have been lovely and give water and sometimes even treats. Such a great experience! I suspect the rude waitress was just having a bad day so it won't put me off going again :)

Rather disappointing visit to what was once one of my favourite Bermondsey places. I found the current dinner menu to be surprisingly limited and few Mediterranean dishes on it. Service was hit and miss; my friend and I had the disconcerting experience of having the cutlery we used for our appetisers slid off the plates onto the table for our re-use. We did ask for an received clean cutlery but this was a big RED FLAG! We asked for our bill at the end of the meal 3XT and waited a good 30 minutes before it came and the place was nearly empty given the lateness of the hour. I will not be returning.

I popped in here with friends for an weekend afternoon coffee, but unfortunately don't think I will be returning. Our waiter seemed completely bemused by all of our orders (if you'd told me he was stoned, I would have believed you) and the service was slow. The Turkish coffee tasted burnt so I opted for a cappuccino - which arrived as a white Americano (and the waiter had spilt half of it on his tray on the way over). My friend ordered eggs from the all-day breakfast menu (side-note: really expensive!! 6 quid for muesli?) but the wait staff obviously didn't pass on her request for the meal to be lactose free as it made her quite ill. Overall there are much nicer places in Bermondsey, and for the prices (and the included service charge) I would expect better service and higher quality coffee!

For months on end I've walked past this place and thought I should go in and try out their Lobster offer, with many other London eateries offering it and all generally being quite good, I thought it would be worth a go.As I can see from previous reviews - I'm not the first to be struck by poor service. After ordering our food (and being placed the opposite side from everyone else), after completion it took nearly 20 minutes for anyone to even notice we were still there! We then had to spell out that we wanted to pay and leave. On the food front - the lobster was overcooked, and the general consensus of the food was that it was particularly average. With so many restaurants nearby on Bermondsey Street offering some absolutely stunning eating, I'm surprised by the lack of quality. To add to it - there was a bizarre moment of a couple coming in and sitting on the sofa's next to our food, and getting what can only be described as a little too fruity with each other, resulting in the need to cover their nether regions up with a jacket, I can only presume because of the temperature.

Second visit to this little restaurant in the heart of Bermondsey, unfortunately it will be the last. Service was slow and generally poor, in fact some of my main ended up on my lap! The food was distinctly average and thus overpriced. I ordered lobster, the meat was nice, because frankly it's a struggle to go wrong with it, however unfortunately a Colander would have come in handy for the excess fluid. Perhaps the simplest bit of the dish, the chips/fries (depending on where you're from :)) were somewhat salty, if I didn't have high blood pressure before, a few of those chips and I almost certainly do now!

I've eaten many times at Del Aziz and enjoyed the food and friendly staff. Not sure if there's been a change of management but the service has become awful. We ate on a Thursday night when it was only half full and had to ask for menus after having sat there unattended for 25 minutes while the waiters were chatting and laughing, just standing around. We then had to point to what we wanted on the menu because the waiter hadn't familiarized himself with the menu at all so when we said it aloud he just stared confused. The food was great but we then had to ask AGAIN for a menu to order dessert - and were brought the bill instead. So we asked for dessert menus again and mine arrived with a long dark hair strung across my Eton Mess. Mess indeed. All up this made for a disappointing experience across the board. Hopefully new staff are just settling in and this is temporary as this place has been fantastic in the past.

This was a trailblazer that stole a march on everyone else when it opened; cool bar, super deli lifestyle restaurant and great staff. After loosing its way it went through a revamp - woeful design poorly conceived and executed. It has now lost its way completely; characterless - confused offering. The only saving grace is the staff.

This is a really funny restaurant and I need to be careful about what I'm saying here. After all I'm a regular there. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a love hate relationship, because I don't feel passionate enough about it. Location is great, in general the staff is friendly and more often that not the food is quite alright. But then are these other times. To start with, they offer juices on their menu, but can't order them for the last two months now. How difficult is it to print a new menu, for gods sake? Then they seem to have a very high turn over of chefs. Sometimes, brunch is amazing, sometimes inedible. Sometimes service is friendly and quick, other times you pull your hair. What is it with this place? Anyway, I'm sure to be back, but would just like to do it with less remorse. Whoever owns this, please hire a manager who knows what they're doing!

My partner and I visited one Sunday afternoon when it wasn't very busy. We were warmly welcomed by a lady who promptly took our orders. I ordered a soft drink, steak (medium) and chips, my partner ordered the burger. We were given the tap water we'd asked for, but the soft drink was forgotten. Then we waited so long for the food to be brought out, we nearly gave up. .The steak was well overdone, pretty much charred. I've sent food back before at Del Aziz when I was given the wrong order and had to wait an age for the new meal to come out so just tried to eat it. I asked the male waiter that brought the food out for some mayo, he told me they didn't have any. My partner opened up his burger, and it in it was mayo... I went to find the lady that took the order and asked her for mayo. They did have mayo. Del Aziz has such a lovely location and it's great to sit outside. But the mistakes and slowness are far too frequent so I won't be going again.

I've been to Del'Aziz for breakfast several times and each time I've had the 'home made granola' and then eggs on granary toast. However, something has happened since my last visit 5 months ago. This morning the granola was obviously not home-made and tasted really cheap. It arrived without any honey so I had to get it from the counter. You get a scoop of Greek yoghurt but nothing special there. The poached eggs arrived with cheap brown sliced bread. Presentation was very nice but the taste was very "meh". I've never loved the coffee here, it tastes like it comes from the coffee machines you get in the office. The restaurant itself looks great and this morning the waitresses were very friendly. Interestingly they never asked us what we thought of our meal... suggests to me they haven't been getting great feedback. It's a shame and I usually give places a second chance but I won't with Del'Aziz as there are lots of other better places for breakfast in and around Bermondsey Street. Breakfast for two cost us £28 including service. I could have easily made this at home for about a fiver.

The only thing that was impressive in this restaurant was the interior! Lovely traditional Moroccan decor, so was very impressed upon arrival. First impressions were fab. THEN.. we ordered food. Starters took 45 minutes to arrive, the restaurant was practically empty as it was a Sunday afternoon so there was no excuse for slow service. I don't know wether they run on Sunday service, but everything just took ages to arrive to the table. Even the drinks were perched on the bar for over 10 minutes and were not brought over (my friend and I actually had to go and get them ourselves in the end). Food came starters were nice, not amazing. But we were in good spirits for the main. 3 out of 4 of us got the lobster burger, when it eventually arrived after another 45 minutes of waiting, the presentation was satisfactory. However the taste was far from lobster I had had anywhere else and just was generally tough and chewy, the chips that accompanied were either frozen or tasted like they were which is just as bad. My friend remaining ordered the chicken burger, this came and was burnt to a crisp,no much so she actually sent it back and didn't order anything else as we had such a bad experience she didn't want to take the risk. On top of that, no apology was offered, in fact quite a frosty approach from the waiter about the situation which rubbed salt in the wound. One positive I can advise is the cocktails! Was happy hour so good price and absolutely lovely! Would definitely not eat here again, however, if we are ever welcome back I would come for cheap cocktails :P

So, service is a little casual, the staff have that "whatever" approach. We ordered some Negroni's before our food, well, 20 minutes later halfway through our starter they arrived. The waiter told us the bartender was very busy. We were two of a dozen people in at the time. The waiter did inform us three times that it wasn't his fault though, always unhelpful to know. The starter though, the meat mezze, was spectacular. We both ordered the £20 lobster for a main course. I appreciate it will be small for that price, but it was shockingly bad. Twice cooked lobster.....?? Cooked so much the shell had softened and shattered. Of course, we weren't asked if everything was OK. The couple on the table next to us complained their chicken wasn't cooked, to the response, sometimes chef cooks it a little rare....??The decor is wonderful, the traditional food is spectacular, the service is poor and the promotional product is awful. Give it a go, order traditional but don't expect value for money.

I've been to Del'Aziz twice before. This visit was absolutely horrendous. The service was comical. Our waitress and waiter couldn't answer any questions about the drinks menu or the food. Neither spoke enough English to understand what we were asking and both claimed that being new to the restaurant was why they didn't know any thing. We ordered Calamari and it was served over cooked with what could only be described as rabbit droppings. After asking the waiter to find out what they were supposed to be he came back to explain they were deep friend mussles. They were the single most disgusting thing I have ever tasted in a restaurant. Even though we were clear in our shock at how bad the food was and repeated requests to ask if the chef meant to serve something so awful the waiter came back to say he had, and they were "fine" in the chefs opinion. To make matters worse the main then arrived after a long wait, the two chicken dishes were served to the table cold with clearly microwaved rice. We sent the mains back, cancelled the orders and left. Again the restaurant offered no apology or reason. It's so dissapointing that a local restaurant which could serve decent nice food would let that type of food leave the kitchen. I'm a home cook and would be embarrassed to serve anything like that, I'd also expect better food from my local 24hr kebab house.Don't visit or waste your money here.

Living nearby, I have been to Del Aziz several times over the years. My visits have been few and far between thought - every time I hope they have changed for the better... and they haven't. It's really a shame because they have a good concept, a nice space...but the cuisine is just terrible. The problem here is BLANDNESS. Now I can understand that some restaurants practice a middle-of-the-road, safe style of cooking designed to please everyone. The issue is that if your concept is "North African cuisine", which is all about spices and strong flavours, well...you just can't get away with that.My girlfriend and I had the chicken tagine and the lamb tagine respectively. Both were painfully tasteless. We had a side of merguez, and that too had no taste - not even a hint of spiciness! No amount of salt or pepper would improve things, so we asked for some harissa. And, wait for it...even the harissa was bland! (how do you even do that??). As we were about to leave distinctly unsatisfied with our meal, a mouse ran out of the kitchen and through the dining room. Ouch! not a good sign. Hopefully this time, after giving Del Aziz the benefit of doubt ten times,we have learnt our lesson and will just cross the place off for good.

On Thursday evening after work, some friends and I made our way to Del'Aziz for cocktails. We arrived at around 9.30 and were met by Tschaka, the bar tender/mixologist, he asked us all what our favourite cocktail was and for our permission to make them, but with a twist. I said my favourite was a Margarita and received exactly that but blue - it was delicious! My friend preferred an Old Fashioned, and received an apple pie Old Fashioned, which even I loved (and I'm not a whisky gal!).Secondly he asked us to give him a spirit we didn't like and he'd make us a cocktail we'd love, I said Jagermeister. I cannot tell how AMAZING the jagermeister cocktail was, he'd mixed it with blueberries, bubblegum and other magical ingredients to come up with something that should have tasted horrific, but instead was light and refreshing. Finally, he told us to give him a memory of a place and he'd recreate that memory and emotion. I picked San Fransisco's Golden Gate Bridge, the last time my friends and I were all together. I described how when we began walking it was misty and cold but as we got to the middle it cleared and became hot and sunny. He brought me a short red cocktail, the top crushed ice and the bottom completely clear. I then took a sip and it was icy cold, slightly metallic (like the bridge) but as I swallowed it suddenly had a kick of tabasco, heating up my tongue and mouth. He'd nailed my memory perfectly, what a man!He did this for all four of us and each one of us left this place so fascinated, so happy and probably a little drunk too! All the detail and thought he'd put into our cocktails came through and if you ever get the chance to go and do the same - I would highly recommend it. Yes the location is a little out of the way, but when you get to experience something like this you'll questions why you didn't go sooner.Thank you for an amazing night, we'll be back again to try the rest of the menu!

Great Mediterranean food and an absolutely spectacular environment complete with deep, rich fabrics and colours (and live music on the weekends). The front of the house looks a bit like an upscale deli, where you can pick from any manner of insanely beautiful baked goods, pastries, quiches, and other delights to eat there or take away. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all fantastic food-wise. The only downside of this restaurant is the service. You may find yourself waiting for ages for anyone to acknowledge you're there. And the service throughout your meal will be slow and unengaged. This never changed in all the times I went there (which was often since I lived around the corner), and I grew so weary of it I stopped going. That aside, it's a great place to go with friends or even for business lunches/dinners. The decor will leave you feeling like you've left the country.

On one side of Del’Aziz you have a nicely decked out restaurant area that looks like you have chucked a left at the souk and come upon a tranquil place of Eastern Promise, full of rich, dark hues of red, purple, aquamarine and brown. On the other side of a partition is the raised lounge bar with customers chattering away over a variety of drinks; round the corner is the shop and deli offering tagine pots, ceramics, oils, herbs and spices, and beyond that the wine bar section. My partner had plumped for the Saffron Braised Octopus to open proceedings with, and, I quickly followed her with Seared Tuna with Cumin and Coriander and, going with the waiter’s suggestion, a bottle of Bergerie de la Bastide, a sharp, fruity red from the Languedoc region that was a fine addition to every dish of the evening. The octopus arrived looking so fresh I wondered why it hadn’t made its own way to the table. My tuna was truly scrumptious, seared quickly and just enough to keep the inside pink, tender and meaty. The flavours of the herbs and spices that emanated from the accompanying salad were absolutely wonderful. And so to the main course. My fish favouring friend had chosen the Spiced Loin of Tuna atop a Pearl Barley setting, which she told me was divine, especially the Sumac and Pomegranate dressing it was paired with. I had the Lamb Tagine that, I’m sad to say did not reach my expectations. There were no subtle aromas coming from the pot, the vegetables all tasted like each other, and even the lamb - as tender and plentiful as it was – seemed bland. I nearly shouted ‘Hallelujah’ when I finally found something with flavour as I bit into a cardamom pod. The dessert menu is a short unassuming affair that says very little to get you excited, but then the waiter invites you to join him on a walk round to the deli to see the cakes that are all made by their bakers. Trust me, my mouth dropped open and probably dribbled a little as well. In the end we shared the Baklava, an attractive selection of Middle Eastern pastries that became the ideal finale of a fine feast. Notwithstanding a tagine that was fine but not to my personal taste, our Del’Aziz experience was a success and one that we will be repeating some time soon.

Missed lunch and wanting an early dinner we found our apartment in Bermondsey Street and on the recommendation from the service desk we wandered up to Bermondsey Square. We were well greeted and well treated at Del'Aziz for this so-called 'Linner'!We had an array from the menu and all were satiated. I tossed between the wild mushroom risotto or the chicken shish! The waiter recommended the shish and I wasn't disappointed! The burgers looked good and those who ordered them didn't complain.

We went on a Monday to try the tagine as there was a promotion on them. The good news is that the food was excellent. Unfortunately the whole experience was ruined by a mistake by the staff. When we ordered we made it clear that we wanted the tagine because of the offer. We were then offered happy hour cocktails at 2 for 1 so thought 'why not?'When the time came for the bill, the very apologetic waiter explained that he was new and had made a mistake and that offers could not be combined. When I asked to clarify with the manager, rather than acknowledging their error in suggesting the cocktails (which we wouldn't have gone with) we had to fight for the correction. I understand that mistakes happen, but surely you just put something on the menu stating that offers can not be used together; but you don't expect the customer to pay for your mistakes. This really put a dampener on the evening and so my girlfriend is not keen on us going back.

We have recently had our Christmas Party at Del Aziz (for the second year running!) and we could not have asked for more. Whatever we wanted, the manager and her team accomodated. They are very easy to deal with both before and on the night of the party. The whole team are friendly and fun and approach everything with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble.

This is an affordable restaurant were you can find international and common dishes with a subtle relief of Moroccan / Turkish / Mediterranean food.Probably the main thing to highlight would be the magnificent cakes (home-made) that these guys prepare. It´s extremely hard to choose one since all of them look so tempting. The coffe is also worth trying. The restaurant is good for any kind of event: afternoon tea, breakfast, evening drinks (with an allocated drink area). Good experience for a reasonable price.

We love to go after work to have some cakes and mint tea. It is really nice and peaceful. We love the fact that it is very close to our house as well. The service sometimes is fast and sometimes not but we are not in a hurry. They do breakfast as well that it is not very expensive and at night time they do Moroccan food.

We first visited this well situated restaurant a week earlier and thought it was fine enough to visit ago but how wrong could we be. Management extremely unprofessional and inappropriately loud, food was VERY disappointing, no wine list??? Waited 45 minutes to get post dinner drinks at bar. Music incredibly loud and frankly to cut the story short, we will NEVER Return!!!

It started badly as the booking for the 30th October was cancelled by restaurant without any warning. This establishment has recently been refurbished which was something that was badly needed. The food is still of a good quality and inexpensive. However, the price of the drinks seem to have increased to cover the refurbishment with the "Happy Hour" being altered. If anyone is looking for the entertainment mentioned on their web site then they will be disappointed as there is neither a jazz night nor a belly dancer at the weekend. In all honesty after so many years patronising this establishment I can no longer recommend it to my friends and associates.

Been there before the redecoration and the place now looks even better.he food was amazing. Had octopus for starter and it was soft (not chewy like you would get at other places) and delightful. The main was to die for. I had seabass with vegetables. I highly recommend it to everybody. The coctails are nice but if you want something different the barmen would create anything for you. I gave them challenges (1: orange, chilly and chocolate, 2: peanut butter) and both creations were brilliant (to be honest they should put them on their coctail menu). The staff are friendly and welcoming. I will be going back :)

This was a huge error which caused me much inconvenience and embarassment as i had booked for a party of four that included a potential client, i will not consider using open table again as they are obviously advertising establishments that they know nothing about.

People at Del'Aziz! You might remember that you've got a restautrant/cafe in Bermondsey. If you close it why not telling your customers? I called you three times on the phone number for Bermondsey regarding a booking, first time I booked, then I realised I told you a wrong date and then it happened that we were available (and hungry) an hour earlier I called you on the day (today, my birthday!) to ask if we could pop in an hour earlier and got the confirmation that is was fine for you. Arriving there we (6 people!) found a stripped out (and closed) restaurant. I called you and got told that the phone is redirected to FULHAM and that people answering the phone always say 'Fulham, hello, how can I help'. Except that this happens so quickly that you don't realise (and don't expect) that you talk to somebody in Fulham if you call a number in Bermondsey. At least update your website! I used to visit your restaurant quite regularly for the amazing cakes, that won't happen anymore. There are other venues that actually do a good service on their customers. Sorry, this review couldn't get any better, I've been fuming this afternoon!

You will probably wonder into this delightful restaurant because the Bermondsey do not have one of it's own, that was our reason. However you will return because it is great. They have the facility to serve dinner outside if the weather is good or inside but be sure it will be a fun trip. The plae was packed when we went and the design is such that you do not feel part of a crush. Food is great, convesations are lively and the wine list is ver reasonable.

I've been many times as I live locally. Service at DA can be a bit hit and miss - sometimes it can be hard to catch someone's eye especially if you are sitting in the back bar as it's quite a large property with an unusual layout. However, if you have Raquel as your server, you're in luck as she's generally very friendly, intuitive and watching to see if you need anything. The burgers are great, that's what I go back for, and the portion of chips is generous. The tagines I wasn't very taken with despite the fact that the theme is Moroccan but the salads are great and hearty and the cocktails are well worth a visit. Last time I was there at night I was pregnant and couldn't partake but there was a great kiwi-based one (called Temptations I think) which is on my list to try - my sister said it was amazing! The barman who was there that night had created a lot of the cocktails on the menu himself and he clearly knows his stuff. It's also very baby-friendly in the daytime, there are constantly prams and groups of new mothers having coffee and swapping experiences. It's nice to know there is somewhere you can go and have coffee or lunch and not worry that you're unwelcome because you have a bulky pram and a baby and take a while to get organised and will probably leave a bit of a mess. The staff have seen it all and are kind and patient. I have only ever experienced one rather grumpy manager who was overtly hostile but I think he's gone now; I gave it a miss for a few months and now it seems to be very child-friendly once again.

We visited on a bank hol sunday, but it was still pretty busy and a good atmosphere. Love the welcoming decor, unexpected in a new building. I had chicken tagine, my friend had persian chicken shish. Both scrumptious. It's not a puddingey place , but the cakes from their deli are good. Wee bit pricey, but tasty. We've been a few times now and the quality of the food is consistently good. Happy to recommend. Be prepared to pay £40 each for 2 courses and a bottle of wine. If you eat before 8 pm drinks are half price, but not sure if that's every night.

Extremely pleasant place to sit outside and watch life go by in trendy Bermondsey Square and see the stalls on market days or view the adjacent Vitrine Gallery window to see the new trends in the Art World. Great place to let children run around in the Square whilst you eat. It has an attractive interior and you can sit on the street on the opposite side of the restaurant.East Mediterranean food. The food is good. The mezze was great. The Pitta was good. We have previously had a very bad meal here (both ill that night) when they were going through staff problems (we heard that the chef was deported) and also a very good meal when it first opened, so be warned on consistency. The turkish coffee is very good and the wine well chosen and reasonably priced (great Nero d'Avalo)The big problem is service. The waitress was very nice but was completely lost and did not know what to do. Brought water without glasses. Said at first we could not have a meal as they had not printed out a menu!!!. Disappeared for long periods. Food and drinks took ages. We were in a slow relaxed mood on a sunny day so it did not affect us too much. She and her male colleague were so nice, helpful and friendly we could not complain but wonder why Del'Aziz management do not feel it necessary to establish clear management service procedures and to train their staff. This is a management not a staff problem.

Since we arrived at 8pm, a friend and I, the waiter looked at us and said "we don't do shisha's anymore, short of staff". He didn't even waited for us to take a sit and order something. He has been really rude and unrespectful at first sight with us. I've been really desappointed so I left for an other morrocan restaurant in London. I've been adviced for this restaurant, for food, shisha and atmosphere... When I told some friends about the anecdote, I've been told that the manager changed. What was really funny : shisha time end at 10pm normally, and when we left, 2 ladies who arrived after us have been served a shisha...I will never go back there, and I will never advice this place to a friend !

This was the first time we had used a Tastecard and were not expecting it to be amazing when we booked. My husband, 2 children and I were promptly shown to our table and given menus, with the terms of the Tastecard reiterated as per the website (BOGOF for 2 diners on starters and mains). The children both chose a juice to drink and in both cases they were freshly squeezed, they both enjoyed their generous portions of food from the children's menu. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our starters also. I had the Lamb Tagine and my husband the Rib Eye steak, both were cooked to perfection and the lamb was very tender, although the sauce was quite oily. The service was very attentive with the children made to feel very welcome by all the staff. We all opted to have pudding and the waiter suggested that the children share a cake (due to the size of the portion) this was suggested quietly and half a slice put a plate and served individually (they still don't know they shared pudding!). The waiter was quite right - the portions were huge. All in all a very enjoyable evening and using the Tastecard, offered good value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return.

I visited Del'aziz on 27/07/2015 as a group of 6, for a friends leaving dinner. I chose this restaurant as it had good reviews and I was able to use my tastecard. I booked a table for 6 via telephone the night before and when I asked about the tastecard I was told it can only be used on a table for 2. Nevertheless, I proceeded with my booking and decided to check the small print on the website.Upon arrival we were greeted pleasantly and taken to our reserved table. I told the waiter (tall, thin, Italian gentleman with blonde hair) in advance that we had one tastecard and that the website had not specified it was subject to 2 diners only. He said that was fine and I had been given the wrong information. We arrived 15 minutes before the happy hour was due to finish, so we ordered three bottles of wine and four cocktails. We ordered 2 starters, 6 mains and a dessert between us. When we had finished dining we asked for the bill and the waiter had not applied the discount for the tastecard. When I informed him of the error, he stated loudly and abruptly that our tastecard "does not work with happy hour". I informed him that the website does not specify this nor did he tell me in advance. He then snatched the bill out of my hand and rectified it. When he came back he did not apologise and slammed the bill on the table. My friend checked it had he had taken £2 off the bill and not the correct amount. When we pointed this out he stormed off again and brought it back.He did not apologise and made us feel very uncomfortable for dining with a tastecard. He expressed that the information on the website needs to be updated but "it wasn't his fault".I ended up paying my part of the bill and standing outside of the restaurant to wait for my friends as the waiter was so disrespectful and ruined the evening. It is unfortunate I did not get the waiters name as I believe his behaviour needs to be addressed as I felt completely ashamed and embarrassed. I dine regularly in London and I have never experienced such disrespect, lack of responsibility and complete disregard of custom in a restaurant.I would not usually write a review, but this branch of Del Aziz falsely advertised there offer with tastecard, behaved in the most unprofessional manner and provided the worst customer experience ever.

My friend insisted we come here for cake and tea, to finish what had been a great night out until this point. We had two cakes - a New York cheesecake which was dry, tasted mostly of flour and with barely any cheese (how is this possible?! It was meant to be a cheesecake - instead it was, well, not a cheesecake). We also had a poor quality chocolate and pear tart. Also ordinary. We made these choices as these two appeared to be 'the best' of the sad looking offerings in the patisserie section. 2 cakes and 2 tea cost us £20 - I asked to split the bill, they put it all on mine. Fan-bloody-tastic.Lousy cakes and lousy service. I will never return.

The new staff are talking in front of customers in their own language (Indian). They are not focused on taking the proper order or charging you for other items/drinks. Is that normal? Where are the proper barista people, why did you employ those people who don't have any respect and bring their culture here in the UK? It is a shame!
