I have reviewed this pub before, it's incredible how quickly a place can get very greedy and deteriorate since March 2024 to September 2024! The staff had changed since March along with the quality of the food and presentation and the drinks had gone up in price! The Shipwrights Arms which is next door to London Bridge station is always busy and expensive, so we thought the Two Bridges was a find, just a little further and a lot cheaper.....not any more! Poor unwelcoming service, the plates had shrunk to 4" and to wait 40 minutes for 3 small plates for three fry-ups!....really. The sauce's were just thrown on and if it wasn't for the sauces, there was no taste. I provided the March Photos against the current one. The drinks are now more expensive then "The Shipwrights Arms" Good-bye "Two Bridges" your advantages have left the building!

Pretty average and doesn't deserve any more stars, Waited 45 x mins for a burger and beer. Seem to be more interested in filling their pockets than serving customers. Look and feel of the pub is dismal for London Bridge, Way better options in the area.

We visited on separate occasions. The atmosphere is very pleasant and not over crowded considering the location, unlike the pubs very near to London Bridge station. In terms of pricing, its excellent value and a lot less then i expected based on its location......a real find! We had snacks on the first visit (x3) with drinks and these were delicious and very well presented namely; Southern Fried Chicken Goujons, Topped with spicy Carolina Reaper sauce and soured cream. Duck Spring Rolls, Mini duck and Hoisin spring rolls, with a ginger and soy dipping sauce. Tequila Tots, Mini hash brown tater tots dusted in a cajun spice, served with Desperados cheese sauce for dipping. Regarding the mains on the other visits, The Steak & Ale Pie, Buttery shortcrust pastry with a filling of braised British beef steak in rich, dark ale, served with creamy mashed potato and a medley of green vegetable was absolutely excellent! Both the Chicken Tikka Masala Served with white and wild rice, chapati, poppadums' and mango chutney and the; Scampi & Chips, Wholetails' of Scottish scampi, coated in breadcrumbs and served with chips, mushy peas or garden peas and tartare sauce with garden peas are very good but what you would expect. It's a find and highly recommended and you will get a seat and be served in a timely manner! I only took pictures of the pie meal im afraid, I'll have to go back and eat everything again!

The good bit: We had a really nice chap who served us, polite and couldn't fault him and general atmosphere was fine too with sport on TV The bad bit: We ordered small plates of food, I would say the only reason we ate some of it was because we were absolutely starving but the chips were the worst I think I've ever had in a pub, overpriced and not many of them, pretty awful. The pizza wasn't much better either, the halloumi fries were edible but for the price thought it was terrible food.

We hosted our team Christmas party in the upstairs function room here. Throughout the planing Ksenia was very supportive and reassuring. The event itself was a huge success, proving the team with exactly what they wanted from their Christmas celebrations. Huge thank you to the staff at Two Bridges but a special mention for Ksenia who worked so hard on the bar for us that evening!

Very nice staff but the wait to be served is way too long and service is random, regardless of your position in a queue. Great during summer but no heating thus far in late November. I wouldn't eat there again, very long wait for food and of poor quality. Ill try again today, just for a drink and see if anything has changed for the better.

We got inside the local and I dapple with the bar woman. I asked her for a table for a four people, it was empty but she refused and put us in a elevated table that was very uncomfortable to have the lunch. We decided the menu in few minutes and when I asked her the menu she said to me thatt de kitchen was closed. She was literally kicking us out of the place. That person is not responsible at all in his work, he did not feel like working, and he was very unpleasant to us. If I were her boss I would fire her on the spot since she doesn't like her job. I will certainly never return to this place again and I will prevent my acquaintances who travel to London from avoiding this horrible place.

This place should be avoided for food waited for 50 minutes for our order had to remind the kitchen twice as we were going to miss our theatre booking. When it eventually arrived it was wrong but we had no option we were late. The chicken masala was awful chicken was hard I never experienced such a poor effort at our national dish. A waste of time and money.

Called in on way to theatre, managed to grab a table as customers were then leaving and place was full. Had burger and chips and it was very hot and tasty. Beer was cold and prices were typical of London. Would certainly go back if visiting Bridge Theatre again.

We booked a table for 4 hungry guys at 3pm on Sunday, ordered food at 3.30pm, which arrived just before 5pm. Nobody else was eating so kitchen wasn’t obviously busy. We were hungry, would have eaten anything but the food was terrible except the mac&cheese. My garden burger was immediately returned on arrival as the hottest thing was the plate. 5 mins later it was returned hot from what I can only guess was a visit to the microwave. Two of the others ordered the chicken roast, as you can see from the pictures most of the dishes were left/returned. Even worse, I complained to a guy who called himself the manager, only for him to get another guy also the manager. After a lengthy discussion x2 about poor food, soft vegetables and microwaving burgers the first manager offered apologies, the second asked what could he do. My suggestion was to take the food away and give us a round of drinks or a discount on the food (already paid). We got nothing. We left, went to the The Shipwrights Arms.

This place is right across the road from a hop-on-hop-off bus tour stop. We were travelling as a family and were cold and hungry. This pub was just what we needed, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great and the place was warm. They catered for kids with a special meal deal, which kept them happy. Having only been in London for a couple of days it was heart-warming to see some friendly faces. The sign on the door read “come in, we’re awesome” and my 7 year old said, “wow Mum, they really are awesome”!!

I had an unpleasant experience at Bar 31 on 18/10/2024. I went there to meet my friend and was waiting for her to finish her work so we could enjoy some drinks . So I took a sit to make sure my friend see where I’m as later we planned to move inside. A lady in a red outfit approached me to ask if I wanted any drinks. I explained that I was waiting for my friend. However, after 20 minutes, she returned and told me that I couldn't sit there without ordering something. I replied that I wouldn’t be drinking anything until my friend arrived. She then gave me a look that made me feel unwelcome, so I decided to wait for my friend outside. We eventually went to another bar, which was a much better experience. Never come back there and wont recommend on my social media.

Wonderful service. Perfect work atmosphere. The quiet rustle of trains above my head was the wind beneath my wings as I trekked through the working day. Cheeky wine at lunch (don’t tell the boss!) had my buzzing. The friendly staff behind the counter had me feeling welcome and seen - they complimented my wolf cut! Good bit of banter that. Just off a tangent from the high street is a lovely location. Not too busy but enough wandering souls and stories to reinforce the sense of community. Sometimes whenlife quietens down i’m reminded of the lonely nights i endured when my brother ran away with my husband back to Panama. So that’s a bonus! Overall, great time would recommend and will be returning. P.s. tuna melt was a bit dense laid down a brick, would personally give it 3-5 working days.
