A mí me gusta.

Tal vez tuvimos mala suerte?

This used to be our 'go to' cafe in East Dulwich, I think they are rest in on their laurels and we shall not be going again, there are so many great places around why settle for decidedly average, what a shame

This Cafe is really nice for going for a coffee or having a drink outside in their garden area, it's very quaint and nice to sit and have a hot drink. For food however, it is really average, especially for the price, they charge you 45p for beans when you order an english breakfast, and they come COLD. for breakfast or lunch on the same road, i'd recommend Duck Egg Cafe instead (better prices, better quality, great eggs) it's literally opposite! i'm more disappointed by the price blue mountain charge for their really average food - will go again. (for coffee)

I would recommend for takeaway.Me and my husband ordered the salt fish patties and chicken wings to start, curried goat for mains and the lemon tart for pudding with some ginger beers. Couldn't fault it. Well made and spiced, the meat was incredibly tender and the dishes weren't at all greasy. I wasn't left with the horrible feeling I usually get after takeaways! The packaging was lovely, little brown cardboard boxes. I would deffo order again.

Being a vegetarian, I had a mixed experience at The Blue Montain Cafe, Commercial Road. First experience was excellent - the vegetables in jerk sauce is their best dish and probably the spiciest you can get in London! Anything other than this (in veg options) is not worth a try.

Sorry, I just don't get it - better than adequate but not up to the local hyperbole that surrounds or should I say surrounded this place. It's not that anything is wrong, it serves a decent enough brunch and the surroundings and decor are suitably eclectic and bohemian as befits the area. However TBMC had iconic status and I now suspect that this was form a time when its was an oasis, not a greasy spoon and there was limited completion. Worth stopping by if you're walking down the road but not a destination and I wouldn't make a special trip

Visited with my two daughters yesterday for lunch. The food was scrumptious and the coffee among the best. The staff were friendly and cheery. We had the oeufes florentine and the asparagus and smoked salmon salad x 2 both of which were excellent. There was a special offer on of cake and coffee for £3.50 which made you feel you'd had a good deal. Would definitely recommend and return.

I was impressed with both the manager and the staff members! I love the menu and the coffee on offer. Used to love this cafe, but recent visits haven't been anywhere near as good as it used to be. On our most recent visit service and food was very disappointing, along with greedy prices. A bland tuna wrap cost £8. For the same ingredients in stale bread it cost £5.70. We still can't work out how it's £2.30 extra for a wrap. I'm not normally a 'complainer' but felt so angry about this that we won't be going back or recommending to anyone. Which is a shame as used to be frequent visitors. There's much better places in East Dulwich, such as the re-vamped French cafe, Jade, on Lordship Lane.

Recently dropped in for lunch, ordered a beef sandwich for £5.70 and coffee. While the coffee and general ambience were good (I like the Jamaica theme, decor and music), the sandwich was poor. I ordered wholemeal bread expecting something artisinale, at least sliced from a fresh loaf, but was served stale cardboard, probably from a bog standard supermarket economy wholemeal sliced loaf. I should have not ordered food and just got a decent fresh sandwich from COOP for £3. This may have been a one-off, but there it is. Stale sliced bread.

I had not been back since the refurbishment so went for tea with a friend on Sunday. Their coffee machine was broken but they still gave us a decent cafetiere of coffee. The waitress was very nice and happily read out the cake list twice so that we could make up our minds. My favourite cake is Victoria sponge and I fancy myself as a bit of an expert, I was not disappointed with the blue mountain cafe version - it was fresh, tasted home made and you could tell that quality ingredients had been used. There was also a nice atmosphere in the cafe and the decor was pleasing. I will definitely make this a regular on Sundays and will work through the menu!

We had tried there earlier, but that time they've been closed for refurbishing. This time not everything was finished, but we could final tried their coffee and cake. I have to say we were bit disappointed because we traveled there for more than an hour to get Blue mountain coffee as we suggested the name of the shop is by this coffee and my friend wanted to have it as he likes it. Unfortunately u can only buy it there as they serve east London coffee. We accompanied our coffee with walnut cake, which was nice, but I think the taste would be better if they keep it in the fridge and the cream is not cold. Overall, the experience wasn't bad because of good coffee and nice service, but nothing special.

I have moved to East Dulwich recently and have been to the Blue Mountain on several occasions. The food is reasonable, it is always busy and the cafe has its quirks. But I still don't understand why it is so popular. The place looks dirty, the service is not great and last time we went, the coffee was surprisingly horrible. Shame it does not live up to its reputation.

The service can be variable...sometimes because they are busy, sometimes because they sometimes employ inexperienced staff. I don't ever recall having an issue with the food. A friend of mine is a big fan and lives locally so have been there twice now - once for lunch and once for breakfast. Lunch I had the fishcake which was good if not a little small and a little cold. Breakfast on the other hand was atrocious. Service wasn't up to much but I guess you can expect busy-ness for a Sunday. I ordered eggs florentine, 2 eggs, with only 1/2 a bagel, I ate one poached egg and started to feel quite unwell as it wasn't cooked properly, cut into the other that was completely raw. No effort was made to discount the bill until i raised it at the till. Overall very disappointed and a little uncomfortable in terms of their dealing with complaints.

This is a really reliable, good snacky place to visit. It is at its most charming during the weekdays (if you are lucky to have a day off or work in the area) as at the weekend it can get a bit rammed. Young landed gentry couples bring in the four wheel drive buggies which can be a bit space munching but as I say during the weekdays it is a lovely place, with fresh food, old favourites and fashionable nibbles. When the sun is shining the terrace outside and the garden at the back is a great place to sit and enjoy the sun or watch the world go by.
