Walking from St Thomas' Hospital to the Shard on a really hot day, it seemed a good place to stop for a drink and a snack. It was baking hot inside and the counter staff member was not very friendly. (she was probably hot and fed up working in a place that looked quite good but needed some decent aircon) We each had a cappucino and a Danish Pastry. The coffees din't have much coffee taste but were mostly hot milk. The pastries were stale. The Barrista was friendly. All in all a disappointment.

For London, this place is fairly cheap, however it really does show that you pay for quality. The jacket potato with cheese and beans I had was really dry, and none of the other options look particularly appetising. would recommend only as a last resort!

Bit of a builders cafe, get what you see type of options available. Cheap and cheerful, theres definitely plenty of alternatives nearby to get something much heartier and fullfilling. Well priced menu, just lacks options for dietary requirements

I'd say this was a builders cafe with a few extra additions. If you're looking at delicately flaky pastries then go to M&S. The food is fast, functional and cheap. Their boxed meals tend to be 90% rice and 10% meat which is thinly sliced but edible nonetheless. I go there as a last resort.

There is never a bad meal in here. Sandwiches panini baguette salads Sauce rolls pastries cakes soups etc etc Hot or cold food all kinds of drinks and at a reasonable London price. Bearing in mind the expensive Borough market is only round the corner. Please visit good fast service.

This place was here before the gentrification. It used to be the only place to get a sandwich around there. The staff are the same and so are the sandwiches - they are simple but not expensive. it's always busy at lunch and service is quick.

Somewhat disoriented we went in on a hot day, almost got knocked over by the lack of air conditioning, stumbled to the prepared salad counter and picked two that satisfied our immediate need. Little known to us, the Marks and Spencer Good Eats was only a half block or so away --- much better quality, price, service. Why does this place exist?

The food is much what you would expect from an establishment providing fast food for the surrounding business and tourist community. The service of the staff is somewhere between poor and terrible. I went here with some business colleagues, one of my group was treated...

Just across from Southwark tube. Popular for rolls and sarnies but is a cake desert! Even had none of those advertised on their menu boards. Workmanlike.

This is local to me and I've been visiting for 4 years. I agree the menu is a little confused but it always is well presented and tastes delicious. I'm so sad the amazing cakes are no longer available. They stopped last year I believe. The replacement ones are unfortunately not nearly as wonderful. The staff are usually rally friendly and helpful. I've had one very poor experience with a female staff member being off with my tiny dog but every other time the staff have been lovely and give water and sometimes even treats. Such a great experience! I suspect the rude waitress was just having a bad day so it won't put me off going again :)

🚇 Queens Road Peckham 🍺 £3.90 Cruzcampo The Windsor is located down the New Cross end of Old Kent Road in Southeast London. The nearest station is Queens Road Peckham. This imposing boozer was built in the 1860’s and started life as The Prince of Saxe Coburg, this was the Pub’s name from its construction until 1917. In the midst of the First World War with Germany, King George V abolished all former German Royal titles and the pub was renamed The Prince of Windsor. The pub went through a few more names changes, today it is simply called The Windsor. There were once 37 pubs along the Old Kent Road, today, only two pubs remain, The Windsor and the magnificent Lord Nelson. This is a good size one bar pub that is traditionally decorated. The servery is located on the back wall and has a large Millwall flag draped over the back bar. The layout is fairly spacious with a raised carpeted area by the windows. The decor consists of a boarded floor, patterned wallpaper, deep red painted panelling, black and white historical prints, a mix of seating and a pool table. At the front of the pub are a few benches for the warmer months. The beer line up offers a selection of well known keg favourites plus three cask ales. I decided on a Cruzcampo, my pint was great, price point was very reasonable at under four quid. I didn’t see any food on offer, but there are plenty of bar snacks. I arrived just after 11am on a wet and windy Saturday morning in August. The pub had not long opened and had four local punters in attendance. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed with an eighties soundtrack playing in the background and the horse racing was on mute on the few screens dotted around the bar. The service was excellent, I was served by a lovely lady who was welcoming and friendly. The @windsorse15 is a down to earth well presented local that was a pleasure to spend time in. There is a lovely local feel to the pub and the surroundings are comfortable. A big shout out for the beer prices which were very reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here, this pub is well worth a visit if you’re in the area. 📅 24th August 2024 More London Pub info @Londonpubmap 🍻
