Loads of seating yet still feels intimate. Came on a Monday for their “German night” Staff were lovely, food was decent, large portion sizes and the prices great. Dinner and coffee for 2 adults for under £30.

What a lovely find! We were desperate to rest our feet, sit down and have a drink or two which is what we did here. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was very chilled out on a Saturday afternoon.

Fantastic place,made to feel so welcome.all the staff were very friendly and me and two mates were even given a private room in the pub to watch the football on sky sports. The burgers are a must. Would definitely recommend

Amazing!!! Found this little treasure off Borough Market, admittedly the bar staff probably need more training, but friendly enough, but my god the food!!! It just speaks for itself…. 3 of the 4 of us had the burger which was devoured and I had what I thought would be a simple club sandwich, nothing simple about that, it was absolutely gorgeous along with everything else. We got to speak to the Chef who was a really nice guy and friendly, cannot wait to go back and check out the new menu as it ooks fab!

A very nice venue, with clear history, but dropping in for an afternoon beer it was quiet and without atmosphere in this cavernous space. The beer selection was OK and priced competitively, with a couple of generic craft offerings alongside usual bar drinks. Considering the size of the place I assume it can get quite lively in the evenings, but on the short visit we paid, other than it's size i'm not sure there were any other clear selling points over other places in the area to tempt me to try again.

Very poor customer service, rude staff. Asked for two porn star martinis instead we was giving two pink drinks and when question said they was made with “love”, tried them and they tasted like penicillin. Then told us we didn’t know how to read a menu and refused refund until the manager got involved. Then refused to serve. Wouldn’t return or recommend

We went to Borough market, we enjoyed, we bought xx. I did not want to go to the market pubs, so we went for a little walk, and we found a very nice gem of a pub - be careful - you might miss it... don't miss it. Very nice beers and has good menu selection.

I want to like this place - we go way back. And it has a nice atmosphere, twinkly and crypt like. But tonight, we experienced piss poor service, flat mixers and stone cold chips. The pub holy trinity. To their credit they tried to put it right, but the damage was done. Grim.

We popped in for a drink Friday evening, good service, drinks were cold and a very reasonable price. We would definitely go back here.

Not impressed at all. We were outside in the yard. We were seated at 6, order taken (after me asking twice) at 6.20, at 7 we still didn’t have our drinks. I asked at the bar and despite them saying they’d be right with us it took another ten minutes. When the drinks then arrived, one of them wasn’t even what we ordered, but was drank anyways for fear of waiting another hour! We finally got the food at 7.20, it was stone cold but we ate it as by this point we were starving! Definitely wouldn’t return. Only gave 2 stars as we found a sydney magnet that made us laugh 🤣

I was told they don’t take bookings for Friday nights and it was first come first served. I turned up at a reasonable time on Friday night to be told it was fully booked because the owner said so. The staff member that told me this then was incredibly rude and was shouting at me all the time whilst telling me not to get angry with her and defending an owner who treats a business like a toy. Disgusting service for a regular and someone who drank their regularly throughout the 2020 restrictions

Had a really poor experience here. I ordered food as well as drinks. The card machine wasn't working and they weren't accepting cash so I was taken to another bar to pay. One hour later, there was no sign of the food. When we asked, we were told the food order hadn't been put through. This is despite the fact that shortly before, when we asked if the food was on its way, we were told yes. There was no question of the bar staff not hearing the food order as we were asked for table number at the time. The manager came over and did not apologise. Instead she implied it was our fault for not repeating the entire order a second time when we paid (we were never asked to), not having evidence we had ordered food (we weren't offered a receipt), not noting the name of every member of staff we spoke to and not complaining directly to her earlier. We were made to feel as though we were being accused of making it up to scam them out of a £9 burger, despite having spent over £100 on drinks. Nothing was offered, not even an apology. We were told we could order the food now (one hour later) and pay full price for it. We did not, we ate somewhere else. We were really disappointed at the hostile attitude, lack of apology and refusal to acknowledge it was their mistake not ours. I never usually complain and have never written a bad review before, but this was particularly bad service. Mistakes happen, and that's fair enough, but you don't expect to be penalised for the bar's mistake and for the manager to refuse to do anything to help. If you do go here, be sure to always request a receipt, don't order food, make a note of the time and name of every person you speak to, and be prepared to be interrogated like a criminal if you dare to complain or question anything.

Stopped in this bar for some pre theatre drinks (Menier Chocolate Factory) and food a few times. Great food, cocktails, beers and bar, sports screens and really nice pleasant but lively local atmosphere. Recommended.
