First time here en route to Warner Studios. Does everything exceedingly well. Great beer, exceptional food and friendly staff. Pièrre the Frenchie keeps everyone amused but is clearly the boss.

This is a favourite local or ours and even though they were super busy today, the service is always 5* and nothing is too much for them. Service with a smile - always. This place also does the best coffees. Thank you again

Been using this coffee shop for years as a local Chorleywood resident, but please note do not complain or send anything back as you risk rudeness from the young man. My experience this morning is by way of example. I thought poached eggs should be soft not hard but when taken back, instead of politely replacing them he threw the entire meal in the bin and said he would not be replacing it. Sorry, but no way to treat a customer! Complaining about being busy is no excuse. I should have thought he’d be happy to have customers. (Actually, not that busy at 10.30 anyway.) If you can’t take the pressure with courtesy , you’re in the wrong business. Well he now has three less customers to worry about in the future.

Met a friend for a cuppa in the middle of the afternoon. Great hot chocolate. Accommodated our requested for some frothy milk for my friends toddler, which they didn’t charge for. Would definitely return.

Having eaten at top restaurants around the capital cities in dozens of countries, the Mill End Cafe has always come out top for several years now. Proper English fare which just cannot be beaten. The fastest service you'll find anywhere. Try it, You'll love it.

Very friendly from the moment we walked in. Excellent service, and the best omelette and chips I’ve had in a very long time. I’m not local but if I was in the area again that’s where I’d go for lunch

Ourselves, daughter, future son-in-law, and his parents booked lunch following a wedding venue tour. The drinks order was taken quickly and arrived with no delay when looking down, my daughter, who thought she had picked up some wet paint on her jeans, realised it was chewing gum left by a past patron under the table, nice! Andy, who we assume was the landlord/manager, immediately offered to cover the cost of a replacement pair of jeans if the old ice trick could not remove the gum, which luckily it did. With the emergency over, he offered a free round of drinks and told us he'd instigated a daily inspection routine to ensure it never happened again. He turned what could have been a poor rating into a excellent. The food (the Christmas menu) ambiance and service were on par with his leadership and service and we will return.

Stopped here for lunch before going to WB Studio Tour and were glad we did! Lovely historic building. Great food and generous portions. The service was attentive and the meal was good value.

Came here at the weekend to watch the football and had a great time! Always good for sports here and the food is banging, would recommend to everyone!! Staff were also great as always :)
