wonderful venue with an amazing team, both on the door and behind the bar on a lively Saturday. I felt safe knowing the security was there throughout the night on the past Saturday and had such a lovely time with my friends. The drinks are amazing and very fast service- definitely recommend and I will be returning this weekend!

Really not happy tonight one of the bouncers grabbed by my arm aggressively and would not let go I was sober and trying to have a good night He did this because I confronted him for trying to dance with me and flirt with me

Class. Class. Class. Big games are CLASS at this place. What an atmosphere. What a place. Parking is easy to find. Use Gade Car Park. Streets outside are clean and it’s genuinely a great vibe. Come on England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿!

We came here to spend a free voucher. Not my kind of place because football was blaring on every TV BUT our waitress MICHELLE was AMAZING!! Bless her heart!!! If she was in North America, where they tip compared to England, whether they don’t tip, she would make an absolute fortune!!!! Thank you Michelle xxxx

Had my 50th birthday lunch here and I was last at Walkabout in the late 1990s when it was probably next door. Gotta say the food was amazing and the cocktails were very gluggable.

We loved Aleena's hospitality! She was so attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The food was also fantastic!!

Aleena's cocktail recommendations were spot on! Each sip was a delight, and the food was equally delicious. She made our night memorable.

I've been multiple times and highly recommend Michelle, Michelle's customers service is A*, friendly, approachable and very attentive showing every customer full respect! I've seen Michelle put customers needs first whether this be first aid to a customer who's fainted or given me a bottle of water when I've drank abit to much and called me a taxi. Michelle makes every experience fun, enjoyable and makes you look forward to the next visit. Highly recommend 100%.

After a long time away from Watford I just came to visit for the weekend and had a lovely time catching up with friends at Walkabout, the bartender who served us, Aleena, was super efficient and took great care of us! Her quick service and friendly demeanour meant not only did we not have to waste lots of time waiting for a drink but even the short time we did spend at the bar waiting was enjoyable with great conversation!

had a brilliant night with my boyfriend where we were served by aleena! i didn’t know what to drink so she recommended me a sex on the beach because i said i loved fruity drinks. i can safely say it’s my favourite cocktail! other than that, the food was brilliant… we got the pizza dough balls which we highly recommended. if you want a fun night out in watford, definitely visit walkabout watford. the staff are lovely and the vibes are amazing! we also highly recommend the karaoke nights, they are a lot of fun!

I had an excellent time when I went to walkabout on Sunday. Me and a few friends went and a had a good time there. The atmosphere was nice and the service from the bar staff was excellent. Aleena was very kind and helpful and gave us our drinks very quickly.

Overcharged, dirty furniture, customers behaving badly not being asked.too.leave or being banned. It's disappointing that on certain days this place is really poorly managed and other days it's Great It was not done automatically, I paid £4.20 for £3.10 pint of coke that was not fizzy and tasted like syrup. I did not engage with any customers but the behaviour of bad customers is not acceptable. Refund owed!

went around 8pm for a few drinks- had some wings which were cold and took half an hour to arrive. service was subpar and the bouncers made us leave for taking drinks to the smokig area

Very disappointed with the price of beer ..going up on match days...won't be in there next match day. Find somewhere not exploiting fans...

Had loads of great nights here. Love the DJ after 9 and karaoke is a laugh. There’s an amazing girl called Isabella who has always been super friendly and even helped when a creepy guy wouldn’t leave me alone! She needs a pay rise for sure

There’s a bunch of places in Watford for food and drink but this seems to be an all rounder as you can eat and drink, watch football, rugby etc plus there’s karaoke and music. The staff are great, there are 2 in particular who are maybe managers/supervisors (Isabella and Brandon) who are always really helpful and are always working their asses off. The door staff are friendly and theres an outside space for the rare hot days. This is probably one of the longest standing bars in a constantly changing Watford so they must be doing something right.

I come to walkabout quite a bit as a local to the area. The drink and food selection is reasonably priced and the venue is great for grabbing a drink after a long day of shopping. The staff are very friendly and the customer service is great. A special thank you to David who gave me the recommendation for the Cauliflower wings, as a vegetarian I will definitely be coming back for those.

The food is better than all the KFC Burger King and Macdonalds shops combined and Heather is a great cook at Watford walk abouts pub and I love the drinks and the happy faces of all the staff called Isabella Joe Aleena Brandon and Michelle.

Whilst trying to get .y drunk friend home, I was treated with a lot of hostility by the security. They would not talk to me about the situation and were very aggressive towards me. Thankfully she got home safe but whilst trying to get a friend home sage I was threatened and abused by security staff whilst purposely standing a couple metres away from them whilst talking to them so they knew I was not a threat. The place is alright but the security just want a fight.

Really good service from the staff. They even told me about all the deals they gave including shots and cocktails. The music was really good too ! DJ was amazing !

Nice place! Staff behind the bar were polite, the service was quick even though they looked busy. Had to change an item of food as I’d ordered incorrectly, a guy named David was very helpful and quick in getting that done for us. Nice guy much appreciated, when next in the Watford area I would probably return.

I’ve gone here for a number of England games and I have to say this is one of the best sports bars you can go to. There is great atmosphere, plenty of England songs and a reasonable speed of service given how busy it is. The bouncers are all very friendly, as are the bar staff. Spills are cleaned up rapidly too which is always appreciated. They also do nice touches like handing out England flags and hats and having air horns to start the fans off singing!

Came in on Sunday before ACDC concert, had a lovely server Michelle. Who was very friendly and attentive

Ordered a double gin and tonic for wife, bartender assumed no one was watching and poured a single. Called her out on it and she proceeded to "Show Me" what a single pour was and wasted a shot of gin on it. Then asked if I had anything else..which I replied what i thought but of course was lost as England just won the quarter finals. Great atmosphere and joy, but ditch that bartender. Such a drop in experience and I won't be returning if I see her face again. What a shame.

Please tell me what’s the problem with drinking in the garden? Shot girl is selling drinks but we can’t drink them or take inside drinks out? Seems you have a major liscencing issue.

WOW!!! Went there to watch the England game with some friends and in terms of sports atmosphere there is nothing else like it in Watford unless your at Vicarage road itself. 20+ TVs so no matter where you are you can see the game, reasonable priced drinks and staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Thank you to Brandon and Bella who helped our table and delivered every beer tower. Would defiantly recommend!!!

I visited on 22 June to meet up with some old school Friends that I had not see for years the drinks where reasonable priced the bar tender Michelle was very helpful in helping us choose are drinks 10/10 we had some amazing bergers and wings brilliant place to meet up with friends will definitely be back back again for the next reunion thanks

I visited here for 2 of the euro matches now and the bar staff are absolutely lovely. There’s a girl behind the bar called Mya who was very fast and smiley and helped me and my large group of friends get drinks quickly and she put lots of fruit in my drink as I requested. Will definitely be coming again.

I went to watch the england game last week and Amira was lovely when she advised me on what drink to get when I was indecisive, and had lots of knowledge about different types of cocktails and spirits. She is a great lady behind the bar!! Must visit again

This place really doesn’t disappoint everytime we come here, We always get a booth because it’s such great seating to watch any event going on or just general people watching everyone having fun, The staff always give great service, I love that if they see that our mixers are running low there straight on it to bring us new ones oh and fresh ice, food has in my eyes got better and better as months have gone on, I really enjoy there burgers there cooked so well 🥰 Keep up the good work From a happy regular customer

Went to walkabout yesterday for the bottomless wings and drinks. Overall the staff were helpful and food was alright however after leaving and thinking about our experience I think we were over charged and miss sold what we were getting. When booking you have to pay a £10 deposit however this is not taken off your bill, my partner did upgrade his drink which was a extra £5 so should have paid £45 instead £50. When I questioned this I was told because prosecco wasnt in the deal but after looking at thr website again it is...... Lastly the website isn't clear if it's 20 wings each or between 2? We have assumed it was 20 each but only received 18 between us. Overall not tue best bottleless we have done

Stood at the bar waiting to get served on a very quiet Friday night and the lady behind the bar wouldn't come to me to take my drinks order. Instead I had to go to her. Even though there was literally no one else getting served behind the bar. At this point I decided to spend my money at another bar. You would have thought with the amount of bars closing in Watford that my order would have been more valuable but clearly not.

Family group of all ages celebrated nephew's birthday at Walkaround. We played pool and stayed for the karoke. Fun night. Staff were friendly and helpful, specially Bella & Brandan who helped me find my handbag and car keys.

Popped in for a few pints, was quite busy but plenty of staff so not a lot of queuing.

I met a friend there for today's FA cup semifinal. The black haired woman who was there for the duration seemed to be doing most of the work despite there being about 3 others. She was the most attentive and very friendly. The 3 small plate deal was great value and tasty. What let the place down was the young man's insistence that I had to leave my ba k card behind the bar as security in return for the pool cues and chalk. At the time I went along with it but after considering this it is terrible practice. The card would have been used without my knowledge when it would made more sense to take a small deposit which can be returned. My friend and I provided this feedback but am commenting here to ensure it is registered. My friend was not happy with the hygiene in the toilet and lack of toilet roll in many of the cubicles. UPDATE: 23/04/24 Thanks for your response however your information is incorrect. There definitely was a young man working towards the end of our stay. He came on later than the staff who were there at 3:30pm when I arrived. He was working behind the bar after the match. He claimed to me and my friend that he was following instructions from his manager (that a customer can only get cues and chalk if they left a card - even after we asked why the bar does not take deposits) and we could raise this with her but we had to leave so asked him to take on the feedback. Please check the staff rota. My friend was present and can confirm this. The reason for the comment is to avoid potential card misuse. Thanks.

Great place to go after watching the hornets at vicarage road. Bella especially pours an excellent pint and all of her staff are super friendly and welcoming. Cheap beer, good food and excellent company, all in all the best bar to go in Watford.

Can I just start by saying the GM of this place is our best friend, so this trip advisor comes from the heart ❤️ We went to support walkabouts first bottomless brunch, and all I say say is wow, what a brilliant time we had, the fire show was brilliant, and the atmosphere was great and I especially loved the sax 🎷 player But the top part was just how hard all the staff worked and so well together as a team and were just brilliant all day and night, and it was just soooo busy and yet they didn’t stop or looked unhappy they just troopered through like soldiers, We are just so so proud of you Kat and how well the place is run and how nice it is to be in a place you feel safe and can have a laugh, so felt like a review was needed to let people know this is definitely a place of all ages can come and have a good day and night Thank you to Kat and her team 🙏

Had a really good night! Food was great atmosphere popping. Had Brandon serving us on the bar who was amazing (banter could have been better haha) would very highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed my time here, I came down here with some friends to watch the football and although it was busy, there was a lovely young man called Brandon who took great care to help us find a table and made us feel very welcome. There’s a great selection of drinks, and good bar snacks. A great atmosphere for watching sports, I will be back soon!

Great sports bar, TV’s on every wall so n matter where you sit you are able to watch the sports, great deals on during the week with a £4 pint of Peroni. May even be the cheapest Peroni pint in Watford. Had a great time

Was a great night out, drinks good price, staff were lovely, music was so good, great to dance to all sorts of variety, definitely will be going back. Your manager ‘David’ was exceptionally helpful. Recommended a variety of drinks and I loved them all.

I like Walkabout because it's quiet during the week. I often see young professionals on their laptops working from the tables. It's primarily a horse racing pub. The staff are friendly and warm. They don't serve hot drinks but they're happy for you to bring in your own. If i go in an feel for a coffee, I just zip next door to get one and come back in. The places is chill. Minimalist in design with wood everywhere - you might think you're in the Australian outback! There's a feeling of camaraderie here and a group of seniors you see everytime as they seem to meet here for their social time. Love it!

Came in the other day, ordered drink and wings which looked as good as they tasted, if I can remember the waitress and chefs names were Jo and Heather Will definitely come back again for a quick and tasty lunch.

Nice enough place with plenty of seating. Great karaoke with DJ Fresh including roped off stage area. Drinks about average for the area. Security could have been quicker to stop a small fight that broke out but all in all a good night.

A brilliant place to visit either as a bar for chill vibes or to party with great playlists. Very friendly staff with a real shoutout to Joe, whose humour brightens the bar alongside his swift service. Plus, their surprisingly delicious (and affordable!) chicken wings are worth a try. Definitely worth a visit!

Eating at the Walkabout in Watford…? What would you expect! Burger was overcooked/burnt/dry but still edible, chips a bit stale, but the service was poor. The bar staff looked miserable, food server didn’t know the table layout and couldn’t find us. Food arrived tepid, and without the promised cutlery and condiments. The atmosphere saved an extra star as this place has big sports screens but the place is on the rough side. Could do with a refresh. It was cheap but save yourself some money and go to BK or McDs as it’s better!

Millie at the entrance was very friendly and helpful, she made the overall experience very pleasant, she looked after my drink when I went outside which made me feel safe. Coza and Moh were great on the door, very friendly made everyone feel welcome and looked after my drinks when I went outside to make sure nothing happened to them, all staff were super kind and very helpful throughout the night.

A friend and I came to Walkabout to have a few drinks, grab some food and watch the Sunday football. Half way through the 2nd half of the game. A member of staff came over to say they were closing in 15 minutes. This was at 5:45, we had just brought a round of drinks which meant we had to leave half of it behind. The selection on tap and the menu was very limited. Walkabout has gone down hill.

The security and bad atmosphere ruined this place. The security were incredibly rude to us for no reason and it’s filled with creepy old men that kept talking to me and my friends, even when we ask them to leave us be. Of course the security didn’t feel the need to help us with that though!

Thought we would give this a go as the Weatherspoons next door had closed. Tried twice to give it a fair go but it really did disappoint. Service appalling, especially for food. Staff seemed to have no idea of what was being ordered. Thus three meals ordered at the same time arrive far apart and had to be chased. Question marks over the quality of food too.
