Wonderful family run cafe in our lovely village serving delicious food and drinks! No need to book. Varied menu. Large portions! Hot, tasty and served quickly! I enjoyed a decaf Latte with Oat Milk, Mum had the best hot chocolate, I had eggs avocado, Mum had Breakfast Omelette. Followed by School Cake! Delicious, comfortable, lovely atmosphere, highly recommend.

They very kindly put on an afternoon tea for my family at very short notice I couldn't fault the staff, service or food. Nothing was too much trouble, they looked after us all and made it extra special for my granddaughters who loved it. Thank you

Had a friendly welcome when we went in which is nice. I had the grilled pork chop which was tough, 🙁the mash and veggies were lovely. My coke was quite flat and tasteless and not chilled enough, from a pump I'm guessing. A glass of cheap apple juice for £2.20 was a bit of a rip off in my opinion. The apple pie and custard were nice.

I recently visited this lovely restaurant for brunch with friends, and I have to say, it was an absolute delight! The food was fabulous — all the dishes were flavourful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The ambience was so warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. What really stood out though was the staff — they were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. A hidden gem I’ll be returning to!

Popped in after shopping to get lunch. Friendly staff Nice sausage and tomato, good fried bread. Cold drink was a vit tepid and bacon was a bit hard and not that nice. Customers and one staff member expressing some very not PC comments on schools. One announced I learned nothing at school! Another said he is a nice type of gay man. Hmm

Great place, been going there for 30 years off and on. No frills but everything a good old pub should be. CASH ONLY,and why not? I have no problem with that. Too many places are "card only" now but no one seems to moan about that. In good weather, they often have a barbecue. Lots of benches on the green and a really nice view of all the old boats and yachts. I hope Barge Gladys is still around for many years to come.

I visited this place over the weekend. The cakes are excellent and they've got a marvelous selection in their cabinet that you can check out as you walk in. I feel the staff could have been a bit more attentive in terms of taking orders, for example taking an order from my friend but not asking if I wanted anything else too. I felt I was having to try quite hard to get their attention and this is something that could be improved.
