We actually went on the last day of the current owners being there and was about to close for 3 weeks. Still. even with that they still had everything we asked for on the menu and I am sure it will continue to be a successful tea room who ever owns it. Bonus being the car park is Free parking for 3 hours

Thank you to Terri and all the lovely, welcoming, friendly staff who made our afternoon tea one to remember. The tea room closed to accommodate a Baby Shower for 26 people and everyone had a really enjoyable experience. Sandwiches and cakes were very fresh and plenty for everyone with ‘doggie bags’ given if left overs wanted to be taken home! Everything was perfect, thank you!

Just arrived home after a private afternoon tea for our mums 90th Birthday. Couldn't have been more pleased food atmosphere and service were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble down to blowing up all balloons to having a walking frame ready for our mum to steady herself. You name it they would try to sort it. The little ones were catered for with many thoughtful touches.A huge thank you to Terri and her staff for a lovely afternoon.

Received a voucher for Christmas, for afternoon tea. Enjoyed Cheese & Cucumber, Egg & Lettuce and Coronation Chicken sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and Victoria sponge and chocolate sponge tea cakes. Both white bread and Granary bread was lovely and fresh. We had a pot of tea with was enough for 4 cups of tea each. £15.95 per head. Vouchers are available at the counter.

An amazing experience. Was having a bad day and thought I would treat myself to a coffee and cake. The staff suggested a home made cupcake which was amazing! I chose the caramel cupcake but there was also a strawberry one which I would love to try on another visit. The new owner is fabulous very friendly and approachable has bought a new lease of life to the tea room. I will definitely be back very soon with my husband because he loves cake 😀🎂

Tan decepcionado.

Nice little cafe, menu not over exciting but food nice. My sister ordered the quiche but was told there wasn't any so she said ok can I have the soup instead and was told there wasn't any of that either so she just ended up with a sandwich. Very tight in there, as the tables are so close together. You feel very awkward when you want to leave and people are having to move in whilst they are trying to eat so you can get out. Overall after hearing a lot about it we were a bit disappointed.

Lovely venue, lovely staff, reasonably price food for dining out but drinks are very expensive. How can you charge £1.50 to a kids small Capri Sun when we all know that you can get 10 in a box in sainsbury for £2!

I had heard a lot about this place whilst living locally, but I cant see what all the fuss was about. Food was still as greasy as a greasy spoon would be, sausages we not fresh, can only assume they went next door and bought them from the mini mart. Would waste your time going here.

Visited earlier today with my boyfriend, the staff in there were lovely and very welcoming. We enjoyed sandwiches that came with crisps and coleslaw. I had a hot chocolate with marshmallows and a flake, it was delicious! We had cake for afters, I had a huge slice of chocolate fudge and my boyfriend had Bakewell tart. Again, delicious and they were gone in seconds! We were also surprised with how cheap it was, less than £20 for 2 lunches, 2 drinks and 2 huge portions of cake! The tea room itself is nicely decorated with a very vintage feel which I love.

Three of us visited here for the afternoon tea. It was £15 each and considering it was £45 for the three of us the food was mediocre. Have been other places for afternoon tea and got a better deal for less money. Tiny scones and the cakes were very dry. Not very good value for money. Nice settings. Would I recommend? I doubt it

I went for breakfast with my mum on Saturday morning as she lives a five minute walk away and we had been meaning to try this tea room for a while. We were welcomed by the owner as soon as we walked in and sat down. Love the décor in this place, it's so pretty. We ordered eggs benedict and scrambled eggs & salmon. Both breakfasts were freshly cooked and tasty, and so reasonably priced.I noticed salt beef bagels on the board and they made me one to take away for lunch, again it was lovely.Listening to the owner telling us about his future plans for the tea room makes me look forward to returning. Great décor, great food, great prices and the young waiter that served us was a credit to your establishment.

We love our tearooms and glad there's one closer when we don't fancy popping into Rayleigh. Lunch with three friends, one of whom chose the location. I hate uncooked cheese so I was cross to find every pannini contained cheese of some sort. Waitress was helpful and agreed cheese could be omitted from the chicken pannini but it was still not nice. The chicken and mayonnaise filling had been heated too so the mayo had sunk in totally and the lettuce was heated until dead. I couldn't finish it. However, friends enjoyed their meal and the place was packed. I'm fussy and I'd have preferred something more conventional for a filling.Do I recommend? Personally, no but friends love it.Will I go back? Not a hope!

Have been twice now. The first time was for breakfast and was very disappointed with quality and portions for the price. Was not very warm either. Gave benefit of the doubt and went again a few months later. Things were no better. The prices are expensive for small portions. The tea was stewed and only just warm. I mentioned it to the waitress but nothing was done. Sorry but wont be returning anymore.

Food and service is always excellent, paninis and sandwiches made fresh to order and cakes moist and delicious. Afternoon tea is a real treat and they make the sandwiches according to your party's requirements to make sure everyone has a selection they like. I came here recently with family on recommendation from a friend who lived nearby. The place is pretty nicely decorated but that is where it ends I'm afraid. We both ordered full English breakfast. Everything, yes EVERYTHING was reheated. Cutting into the sausages both of our breakfasts had sausages that were hot on the outside and cold in the middle. We brought this to the sever's attention. She apologised and took both out breakfasts away. Fair enough I thought, but a damn near miss for food poisoning. She returned a few minutes later with our same breakfasts minus the cut up sausages assuring us that sausages wouldn't be long and that this had never happened before. Around 5 minutes later the same cut up sausages that she had scrapped off of our plates reappeared on a saucer having been nuked in the microwave!!!Seriously!? Not even fresh sausages!? As some sort of compensation they stated that we wouldn't have to pay for our cups of tea. I don't think the owners have any idea how serious serving luke warm pork to customers can be. The review is not only poor because of this, the rest of the breakfast had a 'microwaved cooked yesterday' taste about it.In short... this may be a pleasant place for a coffee and a bit of cake but please don't eat any hot food here!

Since this tea room opened my mum has become a regular and I've taken my little boy there several times. It's a lovely little place- can get very busy though so be prepared to wait for a table. Not the cheapest - some things seem quite dear in fact- but you're paying not just for the food but for the surroundings, plus it's on our doorstep. Since they've introduced the kids sandwich deal my son has become a big fan too.Lovrly cakes. Go there- you won't be disappointed, but don't expect much change from £20 for 3 people.
