Table of four, for a celebration. Starters and bento boxes were excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. A perfect amount of food and not incredibly expensive either. Will eat again. EDIT: Did eat again, still excellent food and service.

Me and two friends went for just some cake and coffee. I called up a day before to book a table on a Sunday and was told we didnât need to book for just cakes. When we arrived we where told they only have people for roast dinner on Sundays and I explained about the phone call, so he sat us down about 20mins after we got our cake and coffee we where told we had to leave in 5 minutes as they had somebody coming in for the table we had to leave without finishing our drinks or cake and paid full price. This was absolutely disgusting behaviour and a waste of money

Last Sunday 6th October 2024 we came to this restaurant to try it we both had the smothered platter which had rump steak, gammon etc it was beautiful I had mine well done and usually places like this don't do it well enough for me (nearly cremated lol) but there's was perfect we also had knickerbocker glory sundae wow lush loved it. Today (12th October) we decided to try it again and see if last time was a fluke we had beer battered haddock and I had create your own pizza, I put chicken, red onions and red peppers it was absolutely delicious cant fault the food here it really is superb and the staff are so polite and professional and the service is amazing well done guys definitely recommend

Came here for a weekday evening meal as had been recommended. The food was well presented and full of flavour. Had the soup to start followed by the duck dish- definitely enjoyed and would highly recommend. The only downside to our experience was the older lady who me and my partner believe may be manager? We were appalled the way she was bossing and commanding colleagues around (no manners) whilst she was doing nothing herself most of the night. Other than that service from the waitress was great and would love to return for a pie and wine evening.

We pre-booked a table at The Lavender tea rooms for a traditional afternoon tea. The food was delicious and huge portions - we each had our own cake stand. We were unable to eat it all but we're provided with boxes to take the cakes home in. My daughter has a nut allergy and was catered for with a wonderful selection of different cakes. The tea room is in a courtyard with an outdoor seating area which would be wonderful in the warmer weather. The tea room was extremely popular while we were there with a steady stream of guests, they also sell cakes to take away. Thank you to Tony and his staff who were very attentive, we will definitely return.

Our second time here. First time absolutely amazing, staff couldnât do enough for us and food was outstanding. This time, well letâs just says standards have fallen. The chap at the entrance and who served us seemed to have a chip on his little shoulders. Left a generous tip last time but made sure to leave nothing this time, so well done to him. As for the food, would have been nice but both our risotto starters and mains were over salted. Next time we visit chatsworth house we wonât be back here. A shame, the first visit we were stunned at both the food and service.

Great food and service here- I had the sausage and mash but when my mum got the steak- it was slightly undercooked so I wouldn't recommend that... But of course the desert was FAB!!!!!! The texture of them all were great and I love the selection! The atmosphere is average because of the car park- otherwise, great!!
