Great food and superb service. A nice friendly welcome from the lady behind the bar, and a really good friendly and efficient service to bring us to our table by one of the restaurant ladies. And an excellent service by our waitress Stacey. She was super-efficient, friendly and helpful. We chatted and she said how much she enjoyed working at The Hutt, what a great supporting family culture it was and how good the managers were to work for. This clearly showed in the excellent service we received, so a good job on the management for creating this culture. It’s reflective in the great service. This, and on top of the good food and warm atmosphere made our visit a really enjoyable one and I will look forward to coming back with my parents, Alan and Chris Wallis, when I’m next visiting. Came today for a carvery very disappointed food was luke warm not hot enough at all feels as though it's been sat under lights most the day the choice of veg was poor the food on the main menu looked a lot nicer coming out than the main attraction nice pub though bar staff very friendly and helpful

Floralands Kitchen staff extremely RUDE & DISCOURTEOUS. I am 76 years old, disabled and on crutches. I arrived at 3:50pm for a quick coffee. Several staff kept watching me, at the counter, and kept me waiting for 10 minutes. On the stroke of 4:00pm, a young girl came over, watched by other staff members, and unapologetically stated : "It's 4-o-clock. We're closed" ...and just stared at me. Words failed me. I turned and left. As a retired business owner, I would have been highly proactive dealing with the actions of any other business situate in my premises, especially bearing the "same name" that could affect my prime business. I was a Floralands Garden Centre customer too, but they show no interest in how the performance of the integral cafe (bearing the same name) reflects badly on the Garden Centre, but simply claim total independence, accept no responsibility and offer no assistance. They don't care. Yet, the cafe cannot and does not open / function without the Garden Centre ??? Independent, or not, I have used this garden centre for decades with different owners (and different cafe owners) spending thousands of pounds. This experience has moved me and my money elsewhere, not associated with either of these businesses.

Terrible customer service. Brusque and rude. We're given our drinks without our dessert and no mention of it, so I asked. Unkind manner in response. Have been to this place before but not for over a year. Been to cheesecake shop for almost 20 years. Was definitely cheated by the slither of dessert given. No desire to go back there again. My money is just as good as anyone else's - I'll spend it elsewhere.

We haven’t been since it was Timmermans. Unfortunately it has really changed and not for good. We arrived at 9:40am for breakfast. Upon arrival the waitress barely looked up to say good morning, so just sat at a table. First impressions was one of feeling uncomfortable and in hindsight we should have left. There were 3 waitresses and it appeared a manager on pc. No interaction with customers. Ordered breakfast not at the table but had to go over to the till and then had to wait for the drinks instead of being bought over to the table. The Tea was comical, barely enough tea for a cup. The tea pot was the tiniest pot I have ever seen. Breakfast was delivered but then the waitress said the cutlery is over on the other side of resturant. Breakfast was very average, over priced and with no service. Sadly not a patch on when it was Timmermans and will not be going again.

My Wife and I visited this place today . We wanted two coffees and a piece of cheesecake . We saw a very large piece of cheescake in the cabinet , priced at £5.60. The piece was far too large for one person ,(we are 71 and 74 years old respectively) and so I asked the lady to please cut it into two . SHE REFUSED ! I therefore asked for a knife to cut it myself . Again SHE REFUSED ! She told us that , not only could we not cut it , but aslo that we couldn't eat it inside the cafe . Given that they themselves had made the cheescake , and that it was in THEIR display cabinet , one can only wonder as to why . They must be doing a roaring trade to be able turn money away like that . Needless to say , we left swiftly , and spent our £14 very close by , where they did serve us cheesecake , and where the attitude towards customers was far more friendly !!!!!!

My Wife and I visited this place today . We wanted coffee and a piece of cheesecake . We found in the display cabinet , already cut, a very large piece of cheesecake at £5.60 . As the piece was much too large for one person (we are 74 and 71 respectively), we asked the lady to please cut it in half . SHE REFUSED ! I therefore asked for a knife to do it myself , and again she refused , saying that not only could we not do that , but also, that we could NOT eat the cheesecake inside the cafe anyway . Why would this be , given that THEY were selling the cheesecake and we were inside their cafe ? They really must be doing well to turn away custom . We found her attitude neither friendly , nor business like . Needless to say , we walked out , and spent our £14 very close by .
