My son took me here for my birthday and I am so glad he did. The food was amazing and the staff were attentive without being overbearing.

Just returned home after another fantastic 3 days at this remarkable establishment. We are so very lucky to say that The Farrier has been in our lives for the last 5yrs- having now stayed numerous times, ust myself and my husband for the 1st few visits- until the Stables opened, and now with our 2 dogs. Big massive thankyou's to Abigail and Jo who have been there on each of our trips- and of course Danni-you go above and beyond in making us feel so welcome, and one of the many reasons why we keep on coming back. We will see you soon.xx

Absolutely lovely little place! We went for breakfast on Sunday morning and my partner (who is coeliac) thought we would really struggle to find anything for him, however this wasn’t the case. The food was incredible as well as the drinks. (I had a Lavender frappe and loved it!) The staff were wonderful and knowledgeable. No negatives at all, we will definitely be back next time we visit York :)

Beautiful cafeteria. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere to have a hot chocolate just a few steps from the cathedral and the castle.

We chose to have lunch here the staff were pleasant and friendly. The food was delicious and well presented although a tad expensive for the portion size. Coffee was really nice.

So glad we found this restaurant for lunch today. We had mussels and the Cornish scallops to start followed by sea bream and the red gurnard, all were fantastic as was the wine. It is very easy to miss the entrance, but really glad we found it. Highly recommend and will definitely be back if we return to St Ives in the future.

A nice, quirky little cafe, with fab coffee and decent food. Friendly staff, an outside terrace, and an exceptionally nice loo...with birdsong! 🐦

Wonderful experience, genuinely lovely staff and the best scone I’ve ever had. Everything was locally sourced and in such a beautiful, peaceful setting. I highly recommend the apricot jam and am grateful for the life lesson of the right way to put the jam and cream… I feel wiser!! Thank you <3

Lunch for 2 hardly ever tastes this good. Spanish Hash and Chorizo, Eggs Bendedict both went down so well. Highly recommended
