The Werks Green Room cafe is in Middle Street, Brighton. The Werks is quite large and very ‘laid back’ and very clean. Nice background music plays and the menu is also very good. The menu consists of Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks. Teas and Coffees are available and the menu also has Vegan food.

Tuve una papa horneada ayer (horneada correctamente) Yo quería chile pero nunca tuvieron... tenían mantequilla y una pequeña cantidad de queso... Fue delicioso... volveré... un buen hallazgo mientras estaba en Newcastle, la tienda estaba en cola con trabajadores de oficina, así que sabía que era una buena señal... (la cola se movió rápido) No puedo permanecer de pie mucho tiempo, así que fue genial poder sentarme en la zona de butacas de la ventana mientras esperaba mi turno. Cuando la gente está esperando afuera en sus tostadas etc el hombre habló a través de un pequeño micrófono para llamar la atención... Me hizo sonreír... 🙂

Quirky wee pub with the ceiling covered in steins and jugs. Very friendly atmosphere! Lively dog on the premises as well 😊

I lived close by to this pub, and been a few times and it was an ok place to have a drink. I booked a party here and due to Covid I needed to change it by a year, which was no problem. Unfortunately, we still had issues due to Covid and it had to be changed again. The 2nd lot of contact was beyond rude. I have now cancelled my party based on this, as who wants to have a party somewhere when they've been rude to you? Not very encouraging. I am not a rude person, and I haven't done or said anything to deserve this. So this is a reply I just received from the owner - Peter - after expressing my dissatisfaction at the contact I previously received: We're doing very well thanks for your concern...... Apologies for what btw you was very rude to my staff so in all honesty you should be apologising to them but hay hoe you obviously think your above your station all I can say is good luck to the new venue there gonna duckin need it...... Off you duck 🖕 (changed swear words due to submitting the review) So, not much else to say. Give your money elsewhere.

Previously impressed with this take away & decided to return whilst in the area. Had sent them a message about opening hours and the food which was not responded to. We were disappointed by the homity pie which was tasteless & the Thai pie was ok. The star of the show was the steak and Stilton pie. So the morale of the story is some things are excellent others are mediocre.

Lovely coffee and hot chocolate. Staff very friendly and polite. I always prefer the coffee in Starbucks to Costa coffee just a personal preference.

I really wanted a crusty roll. There used to be a truly superb independent genuine bakery on this site in How Wood but it is now a Simmons. This was my first visit here. And last. I was told there were no crusty rolls left but the server suggested a ciabatta instead, pointing to them on the shelf (price tag 85p). I chose to have it with some day long cooked sausages under the heated counter glass. £4.55. Four pounds and fifty five pence for charred sausage in an 85p roll. I queried the incredible price hike above the roll cost. "Well you had a filling Sir". Quite. I've certainly been stuffed!

Proper greasy spoon / cafe. Good breakfast and good sandwiches. Friendly staff and always made to feel welcome. Phone orders taken to save time on takeaway and if ordering for a few people they deliver locally free of charge.

This is ok but not fantastic. Toilets smell awful. Seating very squashed and not much room. Probably wouldn’t return

Something for everyone. Bowling, games, play area and cafe/restaurant. Good fast food at a fair price and very personable,friendly staff. Clean and bright. Will visit again.

Nice little golf course, the rough is far too long lost three balls just off the fairway wasn't that waywood, on the plus side Tracey makes a banging cup of Tea☕ please teach Boyd how to make one.

An average coffee place in a small chain shop. If you have a Waitrose loyalty card you can get free coffee which is bliss, and in the cafe they have multiple cakes and pastries.If you are on the road or if you want a break then come here for a pitstop but don’t expect too much, just a normal cafe so can’t complain but not ‘perfect’ .

Won't be back the owner is so rude . If you pay for drinks in a pub hotel . You expect a thank you. Total anti children our three year old was chatting and we Heard the owners rude comment about him . Also we took her seat . The poor lass who runs hand and foot for this person is so friendly it's the only reason we stayed so long . Won't be back and won't recommend to any of our family and friends that visit the port . Maybe someone will take over the Caledonian and make it a hotel and pub again . We have been visiting the port for 40 years and haven't experienced the unfriendly signal we got from the castle hotel .

So friendly. Good priced drinks and GREAT music. Loved the evening, thank you Kokomo, Southport. My husband is ordinarily miserable but even he enjoyed himself!
