Great food, small portions, moderately high prices. Went here for dinner after a day of golf. The flavor is spot on, but their serving sizes are rather small. If you're looking for a decent serving for one person, go for the sharable nachos! Strawberry margaritas were perfect! Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. It was a little too warm inside for our taste but other than that, an overall good experience.

it doesnât look much from the outside but once youâre inside thereâs a reason theyâre the best Mexican in the country and award winning! James our server was probably one of the best Iâve ever encountered in this industry. His customer service skills are just beyond top level! The cocktails are amazing and the food is just incredible! The money you pay for what you get is well worth it. I couldnât decide which sauce I wanted for my enchilada and James brought me out a tasting selection before deciding, which certainly helped make my decision. Portion sizes are massive and as much as we wanted a dessert there is just literally no way we could handle it as we were both so stuffed. What a hidden little gem! Cannot wait to return and tell everyone about this place. You have to go!

We were really looking forward to this. We love Mexican food and the menu looked really interesting. Unfortunately, apart from the location, there is very little of worth here. We almost left as we presumed they had forgotten about our order (even neglecting to bring up two glasses of tap water). Suddenly, everything was on the table at once. Fine. The cocktails werenât balanced and didnât taste of pineapple (one of the central ingredients.) The prawn tacos were extremely average and tiny for the price. No flavours jumped out and the overwhelming memory is of cheap, crispy batter. The burritos were next. Iâd ordered the aubergine, which seemed like a good veggie alternative. Unfortunately it was so spicy that I couldnât eat it. Sure, my tastebuds arenât Hot Ones ready but there was zero indication for the heat. My partner offered me half of his burrito as he wasnât enjoying it. He said it wasnât spicy at all. This was correct. It also wasnât tasty at all. It was one of the worst burritos Iâve ever eaten, in fact (despite being starving) I couldnât finish it. I knew it contained some very greasy mince and bland rice with beans but, honestly, I have no idea of what else was in it. It advertised pico de gallo. How can you make that somehow invisible? There shouldâve been crunchy raw onion and coriander. I sensed nothing. Even the cheese seemed to have turned to nothing but heavy fat. Really unappetising. Burritos here cost ÂŁ15. I honestly rather have a Taco Bell. The waiter noticed we hadnât eaten much. I explained that my taco was too hot. He told me that was the habanero butter but didnât say âOh, thatâs a shame,â or anything. He asked if everything else was alright. I should have said everything was not but we just wanted to leave. I didnât get the impression that it would have made any difference and frankly, we felt quite depressed! No idea how itâs obtained its high rating on here. Donât be fooled.

We ate out every day during our Center Parcs stay (Bella Italia, Hucks and Forsters Inn) and overall Las Iguanas was the best main meal (with the exception of Pancake House) but still not anything outstanding. Portion size was decent and the food tasted pretty nice, but it was fairly standard, nothing special. It was a bit on the expensive side but all the restaurants are there. The food was brought over by a little novelty machine which was very entertaining! The main downside of this restaurant is that there were long wait times to have our drinks/food order taken and an even longer wait time for someone to take payment when the restaurant wasn't exceptionally busy. The food itself didn't take too long to arrive, but we waited almost half an hour to be able to pay the bill.... There was also an added optional 7.5% service charge (which is applied at all restaurants across Center Parcs) which would have taken even longer to get this removed so we reluctantly paid this one as we just wanted to get going. There was one waitress working in there called Jess who was the only one who seemed to be doing any work, she was amazing and was tending to all the tables (about 6/7 in total) where as the other two waitresses (one that I believed might have been a manager as she was dressed in different uniform) just kept standing round at the tills not doing much and both of them went outside for half an hour separately, leaving Jess to do all the work... Even when we eventually managed to ask for our bill, the woman I believed to be manager gave our dirty plates to Jess to clear even though Jess was already doing so much. Jess was really lovely and seemed like a very hard worker so I would like to give credit to her.

Disappointing after reading so many good reviews. Starters arrived, all looked lovely. I thought my empanades were hot until I got half way through the first one, where it was ice cold. Mild dishes we found too spicy, and the spicy dish my husband ordered was very mild! The Mocktails were no more than crushed ice with hardly any drink, which wasnât easy to drink through the straws. Little things like, no napkins at all and not replenishing cutlery after the starters. Very expensive for sub standard food and drinks. Would not return

It used to be THE spot in Hitchin to grab some tacos and margaritas. Now it has a takeaway only feel with some techy kiosks. And we can't seem to find the tacos anymore... Whilst there, another couple came in, saw there was no tacos and left, so not sure if going this way was a wise financial decision either? Used to be the favourite restaurant in Hitchin, now to mourn for the loss. Hopefully it will return one day to its glory, and I can update this back to 5 stars.

Booked a table for 5 at half 7 on Friday night. Got there and the restaurant was closed. Had to then wander round Hertford trying to find another restaurant that wasn't fully booked and was taking walk-ins. Had no contact info as their website is under construction, and the opening hours on Google are wrong. Not sure if restaurant has closed down or has been taken over, but probably shouldn't be taking bookings through OpenTable if you aren't open.
