Nanna Mexico in Cambridge

Ordered and paid for a combo for 2, only one arrived and it was cold.

I've been coming here for years and Nanna Mexico never misses. Service is super speedy, staff are friendly and efficient and the burritos are sooooo good. The portions are so generous, it barely fits in the tortilla! Can't recommend this place enough, love you Nanna 🫶

not sure I'd order again - two chicken burritos and chips/guac. really tiny amount of guac for the chips and the chicken burritos were almost entirely rice/chicken, it was a bit odd with really little else in them. they were tasty but minimal.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, as well as working very quickly. I loved the atmosphere. The food was also very good, everything was fresh and delicious. The student discount on Mondays is great.

Ordered a burrito, but it wasn’t spicy and what kind of burrito comes without sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole. It didn’t taste like a Mexican burrito at all.

The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. That’s about it. It was no where near any Mexican Flavours. All we tasted was SALT. Definitely not going back.

Food was cold and bland, unfriendly service. Shame as we like to support independents versus chains but was not impressed at all.

I absolutely love going to Nanna Mexico for lunch while I’m shopping in Cambridge. The food is delicious and the portions are decent. Prices are a little high but I think it’s worth it. The carnitas (pulled pork) is delicious

Delivery early because they didn't take time to get it correct. Food was only just warm. No chipotle mayo which I'dpaid extra for and no cheese in the burrito's. Very disappointed. If only time had been taken. This was supposed to be a treat.

The good the bad and the ugly. Sadly Sweaty Burrito showed up to ruin the day . Nada de flavour , cold , expensive and very generic, a huge let down from where this place was 8-10 years ago .

Bland, flavourless and sweaty burrito, cold and lacking in herbs and spices. Cheese sauce was a solid lump, chipotle mayo and sour cream were indistinguishable from each other. Expensive to boot. Won’t be going back - used to love it.

I have always found Nanna Mexico to be one of my favourite quick spots for food in Cambridge! Always packed with flavour nice and fresh can’t ask for anything more ! Always greeted with a smile by the team ! Wish them all the best for the future !

When I lived in Cambridge 5 years ago I would buy a burrito at least once a week. Visited Cambridge yesterday and I just had to go to Nanna Mexico, still excellent, still delicious. Could easily eat their food for every meal of the day. Although the prices have gone up.

Delicious Mexican tacos and quesadillas! As a Texan with true experience of Mexican food this ranks high in delivery of flavor.

Service and atmosphere are bearable. Food isn't. I go every week for a group meeting, bad food week after week.

Really liked going here for the student deal on Mondays but now they've increased the price and it isn't worth it. At Tortilla you can get more ingredients included in the price and this means the burritos there have way more flavour.

Spacious and good option for burrito 🌯.

Nice people, sadly food is bad. Spat out two fatty grisly lumps of pork, could not eat it. Cheesy fries were over £6 for bland chips with a tiny splodge of cheese sauce! £40+ total for me and 2 kids. Not retuning sorry.

Some of the best Mexican food I have had and really fresh and well seasoned products. Although, the food is quite pricy for the amount you get, there is a student discount of 10%. Overall, I definitely recommend trying out this homely and culturally decorated restaurant with delicious food.

Awful. Cold. The worst burrito bowl iv ever had. Rice, hardly any chicken, lettuce and a bit of cheese. I was honestly shocked when I opened the box.

Quick delivery within 30 mins. However, the actual burrito was underwhelming, very bland and hardly any filling. Plain rice, black beans and lettuce, with abit of salty chicken. Would have been better with some cheese, flavoured rice, salsa and guacamole etc. The salsa that came with the tortilla chips tastes watery and the homemade cheese sauce was lumpy. Ordered minstrels, but maltesers were delivered. Wouldn’t return, sorry.

In the description for the combo for 2 it included 2 chips and a guacamole which we didn’t receive

Rude and incompetent experience

Really nice service, average prices and food is good but lack a bit of flavour. Some music upstairs could help creating a better atmosphere.

Amazing good quality fresh food as always :) We ordered for collection and they were really quick despite having a party upstairs, we travel from Saffron Walden just to get takeaway here that’s how good it is! As well as the food being soooo tasty it’s nice to have a takeaway that’s not full of preservatives and rubbish. Also don’t understand the reviews saying it’s over priced lol considering it’s an independent family business I’d say it’s underpriced if anything. 10/10

Hemos estado viniendo aquí por unos 5 años ahora. El tamaño de la porción realmente ha disminuido, ya que había la mitad de la cantidad de carne en el gran burrito. Sabia bien, pero el precio ha aumentado y el tamaño de la porción disminuyó, así que ya no es un buen valor.

I use to love this place, but my visit yesterday changed that. Unfortunately yesterday, after consuming my order I became unwell. I would avoid this place, food hygiene is clearly an issue. Product quality has gone down hill swell.

Food is one of if not the best in Cambridgshire let alone Cambridge. You gt food really fast and it's made right in front of you. Lastly the atmosphere is great with music and the amazing seating.

Ordered via Uber eats. Trying as recommended by my friend. Sadly very disappointed. Tried the beef big ass burrito and carnitas baby burrito which tbh were very similar in size. Very much lacking in flavour and plain salty, idk how you managed to do this. Also oily. What a waste of money. You’re better off ordering from the bigger chains in town.

I used to love this place, since my first time in Cambridge 10 years ago. The quality of the food was great and so it was the staff, very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, now things have changed dramatically. Starting with the food, it doesn't taste fresh and delicious anymore, is more like a tasteless mix squeezed inside a burrito. The nachos, which before were always fresh, now taste stale and old. Most of the staff is not trained properly, it is very young people which are most likely at their first experience, they are not able to welcome the costumers properly and they simply put together a mediocre burrito which easily falls a part. After eating there a few times some months back, I had stomach problems, which I don't know if they were caused by poor the quality of the food or the lack of hygiene from the untrained staff (unfortunately I have seen them occasionally handling money or cards and then prepare food). The price is too much for the quality of the food and the experience, perhaps the quantity is okay. It is sad, but after my last visit I am sure I am not going to be eating there anymore. There are much better and safer options you can choose from in the city centre.

Me encantaba este lugar, desde mi primera vez en Cambridge hace 10 años. La calidad de la comida era estupenda y por lo que era el personal, muy amable y acogedor. Desafortunadamente, ahora las cosas han cambiado dramáticamente. Comenzando con la comida, ya no sabe fresca y deliciosa, es más como una mezcla insípida exprimida dentro de un burrito. Los nachos, que antes siempre estaban frescos, ahora saben rancios y viejos. La mayor parte del personal no está formado adecuadamente, son los jóvenes los que probablemente están en su primera experiencia, no son capaces de acoger a los clientes adecuadamente y simplemente arman un burrito mediocre que fácilmente cae en parte. Después de comer allí un par de veces hace algunos meses, tuve problemas estomacales, que no sé si fueron causados por la mala calidad de la comida o la falta de higiene del personal no entrenado (desafortunadamente los he visto ocasionalmente manejando dinero o tarjetas y luego preparando comida). El precio es demasiado para la calidad de la comida y la experiencia, tal vez la cantidad está bien. Es triste, pero después de mi última visita estoy seguro de que ya no voy a comer allí. En el centro de la ciudad hay opciones mucho mejores y más seguras.

Best burrito in town! Today's staff was amazing specially Oybek, Nano and Aya. Great service and super affordable prices, they also had a lot of deals during the week.

We reccently used the services of Nanna Mexico for our company's town hall and couldn't be happier! The food arrived in a timely manor, was perfectly laid out, well presented and very organised. The food was incredible! Luis was incredibly helpful in setting everything up and even helping staff members in making tacos. I stepped away to speak to Luis and by the time I came back most of our food had been eaten up! I couldn't reccomend nanna mexico enough, especially if you have a company event. I will absolutely be using them again in the future. Thanks again all :D

The burritos are very good although they also have many other options, the girls were very friendly. The terrace is small but the place inside is large and has two floors.

My burrito was a bit bland. I have had better in the big chains, but the staff was really pleasant.. Cheap price though no can't really argue.

Half tinga half chicken with nacho cheese sauce was literally the best burrito I've ever had

Service is good and the student discount helps lower the price. The food was mediocre, the carnitas and toppings were good but the tortilla should have been heated up slightly as it was cold and sticking to my teeth.

I go every week - great food for great price! So much better than Tortilla. Half Tinga + Half Chicken with Chipotle sauce is the greatest combo!

We went on a Monday, coinciding with "Student Mondays" and we ate 3 people for 18 pounds. The burritos are quite large and delicious. Everything had a lot of cilantro, if you don't like it, let us know when ordering. It has a terrace and a first floor.

Nanna Mexico never fails to provide delicious food and wonderful service. I'll keep coming back for a burrito, a side of fries and a brownie for as long as I live in Cambridge!

The veggie burritos need better options, we had the peppers - the jack fruit option wasn't appealing, which along with rice, were really oily and salty. It was a pretty sorry experience all round, please do better.

Great food, my kids were very enthusiastic about it when I took them there.

This is closer to a 3.5/5 for me - the pricing is definitely on the pricier side, but there is a 10% discount for students. The food is also nice, but nothing crazy in terms of flavour. The portions are also mid - neither small nor big. Huge bonus though: they serve halal chicken (but have no other halal options)

Californian here, and I previously lived in Mexico City for a few months. One of the biggest things I miss about living in the west / southwest of the U.S. is the amazing Mexican food. Love Cambridge so much, but the struggle is real to find a legit burrito. Went here for the first time recently and got the veggie burrito. It was really decent, and probably on par with Chipotle or Rubio Grill (Tex Mex) from the states. So, certainly by no means “authentic”, but the overall taste was respectable as compared to most generic US tex mex. The staff were also super friendly. By British Mexican food standards, would give this place a solid 4 stars. I’d probably come back again if I’m feeling really homesick!

It is probably the best place to enjoy your burrito in Cambridge and i highly recommend this place because the staff are very friendly and the ambience is very inviting and you can actually feel the vibe and the authenticity of the mexican foods. I tried the chicken burrito which was recommended by Aya one of the lovely staff who made my burrito and i will probably recommend it to my friends and i am surely coming back to try the different flavours.

I ordered a Carnitas Burrito, the lady behind the counter grabbed a burrito and started adding chicken, to which I asked her if I could have the carnitas like I asked, and she aggressively threw the burrito away and grabbed a box instead. I was then given a burrito bowl that I hadn't asked for, which I felt so uncomfortable after the first response that I didn't say anything. The portion size that I was then given was at least 1/2 size of the original, barely covering the base of the box. I paid and left, £8.30 which was way more than the meal I had asked for, not to mention when I asked for a receipt I was told I couldn't have one because it didn't work. When I got back to work, four doors down from your restaurant, I opened the box to see the tiny portion, and upon eating it the rice was crunchy and stale, the pork was freezing cold and the salad was dripping wet. It was so awful I had to throw it away.

It was probably the best burrito I've ever had. Highly recommended. I went for the pork belly large burrito, and it was also around £9 which is a bargain.

Great food and consistently good. Only issue I have there is the rush when taking and going through the orders. Its as if the world is ending and they cant wait. Portions are good but sometimes some staff gives more sometimes its hardly noticeable especially with tomatoes and salsa. Highly recommended but staff needs to calm down and serve everyone with time. We love it , friendly staff and good atmosphere !!

Basic eating facilities, food was good. The proprietor was not really affable, but hey ho!

Burrito was absolutely delicious, I had tinga chicken and was very impressed. We got an order of nachos to share and was disappointed as the chips and most of the cheese was not heated at all, there was chips with grated chrese and then a small amount of runny cheese. The restaurant itself was very cold, we sat upstairs and really needed some heat. I would absolutely go back though, the burrito was fantastic

I was there today the service was amazing, we came in a rush hour me and my friend they were two lovely girls that served us well with a big simle in their face! it was an amazing experience i would definitely be back there.

Went here for dinner and was somewhat disappointed with the food. The burrito was lacking flavour (rice was literally plain boiled rice for example) and anything to inject a little bit of taste was extra (veggies). The "loaded" fries were literally cheesy chips. The decor was rustic, to the point of being a little dangerous (speakers about to fall out of the ceiling). Quesadillas were passable, but again lacked any real Mexican inspired flavour. Wouldn't visit again unfortunately.

I have been there a few times already. I have also ordered from this store online. The food quality has drastically dropped since my first visit. Also the toilet is not well maintained.

Really rude staff members who told us off for asking about vegetarian options and told us we had to pay more then wouldn't put veg in our burritos. Made a member of our group cry as they were so aggressive. Never coming back, we will go to tortilla and taco bell instead.

One of the best Mexican tortilla place in Cambridge. Both the meat and the vegetarian (Jackfruit!) option are really tasteful! Upstairs there is also a nice seeting area where you can enjoy your tortilla.

Food was lovely but the lady working at the till had huge, fake, pink nails on and wrapped my burrito without gloves. This is so un-hygienic Im surprised people who are preparing are allowed to have such long nails, her nails were digging into my burrito-gross!

This place is ok as a fast-food but it is not ok as a traditional Mexican place. The plates are very small and the taste is good but not delicious.
