Maryfield, Dundee City
18/04/2019: After a busy day working down in Dundee, to avoid rush hour trains, a colleague and I decided to have some tapas and a catch up.
16/04/2019: Nice restaurant near the city center! Good value for money! Delicious tapas and main dishes! Be aware it is a Lebanese & Mediterranean restaurant so the spices are an important factor of every dish!!

Fern Cottage Restaurant

Highland, Perth & Kinross
17/04/2019: The owner of the guesthouse where we stay at had suggested this restaurant and saif that it was a good restaurant in the area, he was right. The food was great and served even better. The staff, although limited, was top class.
17/04/2019: We had seen this place on trip advisor before we arrived and when the owner of the place we were staying at suggested it, we were delighted to go. I especially loved the starter platter for two.

Paco's Restaurant

Perth City Centre, Perth & Kinross, 20-30£
15/04/2019: While looking for Perth Theatre , stumbled on this restaurant directly facing the theatre. Unremarkable on the outside, it is really surprising inside. A real mix of italian/american 50's diner atmosphere with amazing pictures and all kinds of memorabilia adorning the walls and ceiling. A vast menu. Something for everyone. Great starters, Pastas, pizzas ,burgers Steaks etc. I plunked for a 12"Cajun Chicken pizza.and some coffee. The pizza was thin, crispy and very tasty. A tad expensive. Found later i could've got similar round the corner at £3 cheaper but not in this ambiance. My bill totalled £15. Staff were all very young girls but friendly, helpful and efficient.. A really nice restaurant that's worth that little bit extra just for the overall experience.
14/04/2019: After reading other reviews we thought we would try Paco’s & so glad we did!! The food was excellent & good size portions. We had SPICY MEAT CALZONE.

The West House

West End, Dundee City, <20£
12/04/2019: So today we phoned ahead to book a table but were told we could only book if it was for a table of 6 or more but that was okay as the man on the phone said there were tables free. Got there and seemed quiet enough as there were only about 4 tables in. Sat down and had to wait ten minutes before we were seen to. Placed an order for two coffees and a tap water, also eggs benedict and an eggs hebridean. Got our coffees quite quick but had to request sugar. The girl didn't seem impressed. Not a smile to be had plus we had to ask for the water again as it was forgotten.
07/04/2019: So pleased to find a wonderful place to eat where we can happily take our dog too. Great service by very pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely food too. Will definitely be back.

Oban South and the Isles, Argyll & Bute
05/10/2018: We dined at Mediterranea three years ago when holidaying on Mull and we’re really impressed, Our only disappointment was that we discovered it at the very end of our holiday as we would have returned the second night! When we booked this years holiday to Mull, we were really looking forward to returning to the restaurant.
01/10/2018: Andrew is a michelin star chef, having worked for the world famous Noma in Copenhagen and for Gordon Ramsay. We had a mixture of starters, lots of local muscles, and then a delicious sirloin steak with lemon/brandy sauce, and delicious puddings. He's so friendly and it was a really special meal. Look out for Andrew in Leeds

Highland, Perth & Kinross, <20£
17/04/2019: This was our second visit to Aberfeldy and ate here both times. It has a strange mix of foods on the large billboard menu outside but we have stuck to the traditional food. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Food is very tasty and served with a deliciously light bread. We shared a meze to start with then both had skewers of different kinds this visit and meat was tender and delicious. Decor is like stepping into a traditional home which makes it very cosy. Would recommend if you want something a bit different. My only regret was not ordering homemade traditional dessert as apple pie was average although my husband enjoyed the brownie. Worth a visit.
15/04/2019: With most coffee shops being busy we took the risk of popping in for lunch here - the decor is dated, the place seems to be run by one guy who is waiter, chef and all things in between. It is cheap enough and we probably went wrong by just ordering burgers, pizza and jacket potato rather than the traditional food which may well have been a better option? When the guy told us he only had one jacket potato left and it was only a small one we said that would be fine - when it arrived you'd probably struggle to get one forkful of potato out of it - and it had been completely covered in cheese to hide the offending spud - he was true to his promise of adding more salad as compensation (well lettuce anyway). The pizza was decent enough and the burgers were bland (out of a cheap packet). All in all we were glad to get out and happy to survive. We might have just arrived on a bad day at the office but it wasn't a great dining experience for us.
