It Was shocking, , chips were under cooked and going stale cause they were in the box so long. The pizza was cold and over cooked completely. Lacked any kind of decent flavour. Sweet potato fries were limp and cold. The roast potatoes were also undercooked and rock solid, was utterly abysmal. Total waste of 30 quid,

Would give this place 10 stars if I could - the food is always out of this world and everyone is so friendly. Absolutely the top choice for a meal out in the Ferry.

Not many restaurants in Carnoustie and we were tired of “Scottish” food. This was a wonderful respite from that. It is a small, unassuming little place It the food was wonderful!

Ordered delivery. Food arrived late and therefore cold. Lacked flavour. Also - expensive. Unlikely to order delivery from here again.

Have been here several times and the food is consistently amazing. We had a late lunch and had the meze/mixed grill combo and it was all so tasty. We had the three hot, three cold meze and mixed grill to share which came with different kinds of chicken, kofta, salad, sauces and bread. Everything cooked well and the service was great. Good drinks selection too.

Gluten free order was made possible, but still the mixed grill was served on an open gluten wrap and separate gluten pitta bread. Also the gluten rice served with the meal. Staff really helpful though, so always ask and they be open to the gluten items.

We absolutely love the Meze grill,not once have we had bad food. The tastes are delicious. The staff are always really polite and pleasant. I would highly recommend eating there. We love visiting whether it's just the two of us or with family, we always have a lovely experience 10/10.

Hiddem gem, different from a traditional Turkish restaurant, it's more diverse Mediterranean food, a small place with friendly customer service. We enjoyed everything, from starters to main course and their side sauces. Fresh bread and pizza from woodfire oven. Update Tried it a few times now. Always good.

The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and really tasty. We did not have to wait long at all and the place was quiet and intimate just as I prefer it. Definitely recommend and I will go back soon!

I only had a quick meal on my own while my kitchen is being fitted, and as it was early and very quiet, the atmosphere was lacking, naturally. But the place was pleasant and friendly, and quiet like restaurants I've visited in Turkey and Morocco. Nice food, good portions, very pleasant service. I'll be back.

Yet again, the wonderful staff at Meze Grill accepted us as a ‘drop-in’. Food is delicious, great value, well presented & cooked quickly. The Turkish Effe beer is awesome! This place is becoming our ‘go-to’ when we’re seeking quality food at short notice.

Recently went to Meze Grill for my mum’s birthday and it was so good! Got the mixed grill for one and we both shared it as it was a lot of food. So big portion sizes, definitely worth the money. The chef also gave us some complementary cold mezes which was so kind of him. Can’t wait to go back sometime.

Absolutely lovely as usual. Food excellent, staff very friendly and polite. We had a set grill meal which included hot and cold starters and a grill. Portions are more than adequate, asked for a 'doggy bag'.

I need to share what an amazing experience I just had I Meze Grill. At my first looking to the drink menu I saw they had Caipirinha for drinks, and as a good Brazilian I had to try it. The waitress was very polite and asked me how I would like it (traditional way or house recipe). Went for the tradition and, guys, it was brilliant. Food was something else. Went for falafel as starter and got a bread with hummus to try alongside. Both delicious! Main plate was the mix grill for one, and trust me, I am a good eater but the amount of food that came was just too much (in the good way!). My biggest regret was not being able to eat it all 😂 All the staff was very friendly and efficient. Nice ambient, the place just smells gooood food! I wish I lived nearby to bring as many friends as possible to meet this place. Thanks a lot! Will definitely be coming back in future opportunities!

Food delicious and great portions but very disappointed to not receive any lamb sish kebab in the meal for 2 (it is listed as being included). When we phoned about it we were told that it's not included anymore but menu not be changed.

Seriously beautiful food. Got it as a birthday treat and it was definitely that. Honestly, go or order take out. You will not be disappointed. Staff are lovely too

5 stars. Firstly can we speak about the freshness of the food? I had the tabouleh, babaganoush, halloumi and was given a potato dish by the wonderful Ashraf. The mint tea was delicious and I treated myself to the baklava which was gooey and delightful. Ashraf and I talked about our world and its mysteries. Not to miss if you are in the ferry.

Have been to the restaurant many times and food has been excellent. It’s such a pity that they don’t put the effort into the delivery menu. Pizza was just awful. Sounded so good to, hummus was runny. Disaster if I’m honest. Called the restaurant to speak to someone and was told they would call me back but no one did. Waited 2hrs also for delivery. Pretty poor service and food.

Absolutely disgusting..don't order pizza from here..base was like a sheet of paper..simple margarita pizza, cheese was melted to non existence, absolute waste of money, don't not recommend their pizza can't comment on anything else but it's enough for me to not order again!

Its always a delight going to Meze Grill, since the takeover the place has definitely gone up levels! I've brought business clients, family and friends to Meze Grill and all have enjoyed it thoroughly The food, service and atmosphere is top notch. Staff are very friendly. The owner Ashraf is a top lad, always goes out of his way to ensure all his guests are beyond satisfied.

The food is good, Really good! We had a mixed platter for 4 and it was a substantial meal for 8, and believe me, I like my food. It was a takeaway so I can't comment on service or atmosphere, but did I say the food was good?

You will not regret eating here. The is delicious and the staff is very friendly. Try the Efes - it's a good beer 🍺.

This is a busy and very lively place with a view of the chefs at work. They specialise in Middle Eastern cuisine cooked over charcoal and the staff are extremely friendly and efficient. Service is friendly and fast, the prices are very affordable and the food is really superb! I Had the bread and olives to start followed by mixed grill for one. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned with lemon and spices and served with chilli sauce and yoghurt. I absolutely loved it. The very best food of this type I have ever eaten. Don’t miss this place if you’re in Broughty Ferry - it’s wonderful!

This was our 3rd visit in recent weeks. We have been twice as a couple for lunch. Tonight we had a friend with us and went for dinner. On each occasion we have had very good, friendly service. On the first visit service was initially slow but then was fine and last twice had been excellent. First two visits we had the mezze starters with nan bread for lunch. Very varied, tasty and filling. Tonight we has mezze starters for 2 between 3 of us. 2 of us then had vegetable moussaka and I had roast vegetables. All were very tasty, well presented and satisfying. No room left for desserts unfortunately Bill around £50.00.

Yummy! We ordered the Meze Grill for 2. I think you could feed more than 2 people. 2 chilli and 2 garlic sauces, 6 cold sides, 2 rice, 2 salads, 2 packs of bread and a container full of grilled meat. It was a ton of food and everything tasted great even if we didn't know what 2 of the sides were. I'm sure we'll eat here again before we return to the United States.

Have eaten here several times. Food and service absolutely fantastic. Had baba ganoush and aubergine stew as part of the meze starter and enjoyed it so much ordered both to take away. The stew had the bitter aubergine taste and then the sweetness of the other ingredients. Superb!!! Had it for tea tonight and will be going to get some more soon.

Ordered meze dinner for 2 which was delivered roasting hot and I stay quite far from the shop. Everything was so yummy the different sauces I really enjoyed also. Kids chicken nuggets snd chips were good also

This was our first time there and we weren't disappointed. Staff couldn't be more helpful and the atmosphere was also good. The food was outstanding,from the starters to the main courses it had a wonderful fresh authentic taste. We will definitely be back. Outstanding!! Had a take away this time and it was every bit as good as sitting in. We had a 3 meze starter followed by the mixed grill for 2. Couldn't finish it all as there was so much of it.

I don’t think I received what I ordered .. then about 25 mins after delivery , I received a message telling me it was on its way. Very stressful being honest.

This is pretty good, we got like 4 mix grills I think can really remember. But the meats were a little dry and tough but it was still good and flavourful. The portion size was pretty good as well, we were all struggling to finish.

Wonderful food and service. The restaurant had a very authentic Middle Eastern feel to it. I had 3 meze starters as my meal, followed by the dates for dessert. Amazing!

An overall disappointing experience. Meze starter, the dishes were tasty just not nearly enough bread to mop up the sauces which was a disappointment. The mains looked quite small too. The Meze main looked more copious but with some disappointing ingredients. The lamb Kofta was good and tiny chicken wings well marinated but the tiny wings held very little meat. The one lamb chop was really very small and disappointing. The host was lovely though. Overall the food dishes were underwhelming and I think the Meze Grill needs to seriously improve dishes as in my opinion there are far better Mediterranean restaurants out there in the surrounding locality with which to choose from.

Nice restaurant, friendly and attentive staff, plates, especially the mixed grill positively groaning with food so good portions. With one small exception - I had the king prawn main which was the same price as the huge mixed grills. Nothing wrong with the taste but I felt the amount of prawns was rather small in comparison with the other dishes. But my main issue was that the amount of rice that came with it was very very small and not nearly enough to cope with the amount of sauce with the prawns. I got some extra bread to mop up the remaining sauce for which they charged me £1.50. Either serve this dish with more rice or include bread.

Great food at reasonable prices, prepared & served by friendly & attentive staff. We are both vegetarian, so can only comment on that type of food, but other diners also seemed to be enjoying their lunches :)

We enjoyed a lovely birthday meal here at the beginning of the month. The food was absolutely beautiful - fresh, high quality ingredients cooked and prepared with love and care. The genuine warm welcome and on-going attention from staff made us feel very well looked after and appreciated. The restaurant was busy but everything felt as though it was being skilfully managed by staff, so we were able to sit back and relax. The decor and music were really nice and contributed to the atmosphere. I cannot emphasise enough how delicious the food was, there were plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, along with a wide range of meats and fish dishes. The bread is amazing - worth ordering a portion or two to share. There were a whole page of meze options if you want to try these, a lot of choice and everything coming out of the kitchen looked vibrant and well presented. Will come back again soon!
