Meze Grill in Dundee City

We were a little unsure as it seemed like it would be pricey, but Im so glad we chose Meze. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient. The atmosphere was casual. The food was well presented and delicious. We ordered a few small plates to share and were delighted with each.

Pedimos las tapas calientes / frías para compartir, y cada plato era sabroso y bien presentado. Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra visita, bonito restaurante amplio y luminoso, se puede ver a los chefs preparando su comida, incluso consiguió una bolsa de perro para llevar, como no podía terminar todo. : ) : )

First time visit here. Friendly welcoming staff. Was busy at 7.30 when we arrived but soon be became quiter. We ordered the hot/cold Tapas to share, and every dish was tasty and well presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, nice bright spacious restaurant, you can watch the chefs preparing your food, even got a doggie bag to go, as couldn't finish everything. :) :)

Gran comida anoche. Muy ocupado cuando llegamos a las 19: 30, pero pronto se hizo más tranquilo. Estar ocupado solo muestra lo buena que es la comida. Precioso vino Pinot Grigio para acompañar nuestra comida. Volveremos ya que la comida, el servicio y el ambiente eran muy buenos.

Great meal last night. Very busy when we arrived at 19:30, but it soon got quieter. Being busy just shows how good the food is. Lovely Pinot Grigio wine to go with our meal. We will be back as the food,service and atmosphere were really good.

Acomodo fiestas de golf y selecciono lugares donde creo que a la gente le gustaría como alternativa a la tarifa habitual. Así que terminamos en este restaurante. La bienvenida fue excelente. La jovencita estaba bien versada en la selección de alimentos del menú y también en las bebidas a elegir. Entonces, 8 de nosotros decidimos por la parrilla mixta o una mezcla de las opciones. La comida era excelente junto con el servicio. El propietario / gerente era un gran tipo, y tbh volveremos el próximo año. Este es ahora uno de mis restaurantes imprescindibles para visitar a la gente. Gracias, amigos, y bien hecho

Tha mango chicken pizza was the best pizza I've ever tasted!

We ordered 3 hot and 3 cold meze. Walked to collect. Got the food home. It was all just vegetarian sides and dips. No warning on menu that we wouldn’t get meat. Really disappointed and left feeling hungry.

The Iskender mixed kebab was delicious, as was the houmous, well worth a visit

Possibly the best take away I’ve had all year. Flavours were magnificent and all cooked to perfection. Highly recommended

Waitress with the blonde hair very nice! The rest of the staff gave a disgusting service, the blonde hair lady offered us sauces when when she was asking for it the male waiter started arguing with her right infront of us not wanting to give us them, as soon as one of us finished our meal the staff started clearing the table and took my friends plate away as she was eating it. Whole experience was very uncomfortable and awkward. Will not be back! The rest of the staff should take some notes on manners from the waitress with the blonde hair!!!!!

Food was ace pizzas delicious and chicken wings grilled to perfection

The food was stunning! We were there on a quiet Saturday evening, 7 of us in for dinner. Really warm welcome when entering and quickly seated. It took a strangely long time to even order our drink. We kept it simple and ordered the Meze set meal which included 6 cold Meze, 6 hot Mez and a mixed grill platter. We got a pepperoni pizza for our non "adventurous" member of the party. Every bite of the Mez course was superb and the Efes beer complimented it all perfectly. I just felt, and I'm being picky here, that it was quite a quiet night and service was slow to the point of ponderous. I get that they do a fair amount of takeaway, but I'd expect dining in customer to be dealt with first. Would I go back, definitely!

Absolute waste of £35 .. I could have bought better pizzas in supermarket for cheaper and I ordered 3 bags of chips for over a tenner which had about 15 chips in each bag .. and to top it off £4.50 delivery from the ferry to the ferry ! Rip off

Food was really tasty. My only slight complaint was that it wasn't very hot when it arrived. I am not going to mark them down on this as it hasn't happened previously so putting it down as a one off for now.

A hidden gem that combines meditation vibes with amazing Turkish food! They have plenty of vegetarian options that are super tasty and delicious. I’ll definitely be visiting again. Whether you’re into veg or non-veg, I’m sure you won’t regret checking this place out!

My food still isn’t here the delivery driver said he couldn’t find my address, I called the restaurant and they said he cannot find the address and said to cancel my order. I still have not received my food I want a refund.

Very nice mediterranean food, friendly service. Unusually for this type of restaurant it had a good bottled beer choice.

It Was shocking, , chips were under cooked and going stale cause they were in the box so long. The pizza was cold and over cooked completely. Lacked any kind of decent flavour. Sweet potato fries were limp and cold. The roast potatoes were also undercooked and rock solid, was utterly abysmal. Total waste of 30 quid,

Not many restaurants in Carnoustie and we were tired of “Scottish” food. This was a wonderful respite from that. It is a small, unassuming little place It the food was wonderful!

Teníamos los tres calientes, tres fríos meze y parrilla mixta para compartir que venía con diferentes tipos de pollo, kofta, ensalada, salsas y pan. Todo se cocinó bien y el servicio fue genial. Gluten free order was made possible, but still the mixed grill was served on an open gluten wrap and separate gluten pitta bread. Also the gluten rice served with the meal. Staff really helpful though, so always ask and they be open to the gluten items.

Hiddem gem, different from a traditional Turkish restaurant, it's more diverse Mediterranean food, a small place with friendly customer service. We enjoyed everything, from starters to main course and their side sauces. Fresh bread and pizza from woodfire oven. Update Tried it a few times now. Always good.

The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and really tasty. We did not have to wait long at all and the place was quiet and intimate just as I prefer it. Definitely recommend and I will go back soon!

I only had a quick meal on my own while my kitchen is being fitted, and as it was early and very quiet, the atmosphere was lacking, naturally. But the place was pleasant and friendly, and quiet like restaurants I've visited in Turkey and Morocco. Nice food, good portions, very pleasant service. I'll be back.

Recently went to Meze Grill for my mum’s birthday and it was so good! Got the mixed grill for one and we both shared it as it was a lot of food. So big portion sizes, definitely worth the money. The chef also gave us some complementary cold mezes which was so kind of him. Can’t wait to go back sometime.

Absolutely lovely as usual. Food excellent, staff very friendly and polite. We had a set grill meal which included hot and cold starters and a grill. Portions are more than adequate, asked for a 'doggy bag'.

I need to share what an amazing experience I just had I Meze Grill. At my first looking to the drink menu I saw they had Caipirinha for drinks, and as a good Brazilian I had to try it. The waitress was very polite and asked me how I would like it (traditional way or house recipe). Went for the tradition and, guys, it was brilliant. Food was something else. Went for falafel as starter and got a bread with hummus to try alongside. Both delicious! Main plate was the mix grill for one, and trust me, I am a good eater but the amount of food that came was just too much (in the good way!). My biggest regret was not being able to eat it all 😂 All the staff was very friendly and efficient. Nice ambient, the place just smells gooood food! I wish I lived nearby to bring as many friends as possible to meet this place. Thanks a lot! Will definitely be coming back in future opportunities!

Food delicious and great portions but very disappointed to not receive any lamb sish kebab in the meal for 2 (it is listed as being included). When we phoned about it we were told that it's not included anymore but menu not be changed.

Seriously beautiful food. Got it as a birthday treat and it was definitely that. Honestly, go or order take out. You will not be disappointed. Staff are lovely too

5 stars. Firstly can we speak about the freshness of the food? I had the tabouleh, babaganoush, halloumi and was given a potato dish by the wonderful Ashraf. The mint tea was delicious and I treated myself to the baklava which was gooey and delightful. Ashraf and I talked about our world and its mysteries. Not to miss if you are in the ferry.

Have been to the restaurant many times and food has been excellent. It’s such a pity that they don’t put the effort into the delivery menu. Pizza was just awful. Sounded so good to, hummus was runny. Disaster if I’m honest. Called the restaurant to speak to someone and was told they would call me back but no one did. Waited 2hrs also for delivery. Pretty poor service and food.
