Paco's Restaurant in Perth & Kinross

What a fabulous place! We decided to try Paco's for dinner while staying in Perth. From the outside it looks like a small cafe but it just keeps going on and on. A great menu and very friendly and welcoming staff. The decor is amazing too. Thoroughly enjoyed our night.

Amazing food, great friendly service

We had a wonderful time celebrating our sons birthday. The food was excellent, the server was lovely and friendly. We always enjoy going to Paco's

We had the potato skins, black pudding with parma ham, chicken breast stuffed with haggis, and the salted caramel lemon meringue. Excellent food and even better service especially our server Gabby who was fantastic.

4 adults, 1 child for lunch. Warm welcome & friendly service. Drinks order taken on seating. Now, it did not appear to be overly busy. However, 30+ minutes after the order was taken, my wife enquired how much long our food oder was going to take. She was informed that due to an error, it had not been sent to the kitchen. Apologies given & told they would get food out to us as quickly as possible. We had noticed another couple complaining due to incomplete/ late order. So, when we were eventually fed, & the bill delivered, my sister-in-law mentioned that we weren't happy with service & asked to speak to someone in charge. To his credit, the duty manager was very apologetic for the service that didn't meet their standards. As recompense, he deducted our drinks bill. The experience wasn't the best for whatever the reason. But due to the managers kind intervention, we were happy with the end result.

Atmosphere yes, service ok and the food is disappointing for the price literally lacking effort the steaks are so overpriced now and the chips and most side dishes are just bought in and tossed in the deep fat fryer. I’m sure the desserts are all bought in too. Why go out to eat and spend a small fortune when I can do better at home.

Lovely meals as always never have had to moan once staff very efficient and very friendly food always freshly cooked can't wait til our next trip to perth

5/5 The host was so welcoming, we didn't have a reservation. The service was timely and efficient. The food and drinks were amazing, it was the best meal I've had since arriving in the UK. Absolutely loved it. Thanks for making my and my partner's anniversary dinner special on the lat minute.

Beautiful venue, great service, plenty of food on the plate......... You order beef chilli, you expect a chilli kick, disappointingly under seasoned, same with the chicken enchiladas.

Lovely restaurant, food is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. I've been here a few times, and I always look forward to my next visit.

Visited here with my family, definitely would come again. Great atmosphere, staff always attentive, welcoming when we arrived and the service was at a great pace. Food was generally good quality, although some stuff was defrosted and when I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Burger I struggled to taste the cheese. Decent venue overall, would recommend.

Went on Xmas Eve and had the festive menu. Food was really tasty and service very good. Busy but nice atmosphere.

Food was tasty, place had a nice atmosphere BUT at the end of the meal our server brought the bill, and rather than wait for the person in our party that was paying to look at the amount she announced the amount ( rather loudly) to the whole table, considering it was a birthday treat for my sister, it just made it all the more embarrassing and cringey. This has never been correct etiquette, perhaps some training required?

Never disappoints us. We’ve enjoyed every visit. The most amazing atmosphere with 1900s jazz music and theme which transcends the experience. Delicious selection of food and for a great price. Fitting for any occasion. Dates, anniversaries, families and groups. The staff have all been kind each time we’ve been and go above and beyond for you. We will definitely be back and are excited to introduce it to more people. 100% recommend. Thank you, Paco’s.

Stayed overnight in Perth and had a meal at Paco's for one. I was made to feel very welcome by the waitress who spoke with me about my stay. If I am staying at Perth again I'll certainly go back to Paco's for an enjoyable meal and speedy service.

Way too expensive for the quality of food served (pub grub at best). Very little was homemade store bought frozen produce for £17 a main. Especially since we ordered vegetarian/vegan food which is very cheap to make. Wouldn't recommend.

Lovely meal for my friends 50th birthday.foos came out quite quickly considering it was busy ...staff were very good and they organised a caterpillar cake for us and there was no charge .steaks topped with haggis were amazing When in Perth again I would definitely eat here

Everything was excellent, have always been satisfied with my visits to Pacos.

We come here every year for our christmas meal. This year there was only 4 of us. Usually with 5 people we can be in had our meal in about 1 hour we were 2 and a half hours last night! It wasn't aby busier than usual, the staff did keep apologising for the delay but took over 30 mins to get drinks. Might have to change our plans for 2025. Food was OK. The Christmas meals, 3 courses is very overpriced £35 a head!

I felt our service was rather slow. I can appreciate it was a busy Christmas Saturday but felt that our table was left unattended for longer than necessary at times. I asked for water when we got our pre-meal drinks and had to ask for it again when we received our desserts as it still had not arrived. After asking for the dessert menu, we were left for longer than I expected before the waiter took our order. After asking for the bill, the waiter again took a considerable time in coming with it, so much that I remarked to my husband that `i would be leaving very shortly if they don't hurry up" All in all I was quite disappointed in my visit, which his a shame because the last time I was there it was quite the opposite. I won't be in a hurry to visit again.

The whole experience was fantastic. We booked a table in a quieter area, this was accommodated with no hassle. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table, the atmosphere was good and although it was busy, there was no compromise on service. We were taken care of by Annie, she was lovely, very attentive and nothing was a hassle. The food was amazing, we weren't disappointed sadly, no room for dessert but that's not a bad thing. I'd highly recommend a visit here, we will absolutely be back again.

From the moment we walked in the door service was outstanding! Food was 5* . The food is made fresh to order and you can taste the fresh herbs used. Highly recommend from a family to a party. You will not be disappointed.

Paco’s offers a wide menu which is served by very polite attentive staff. Always very tasty and good portions. The property is spotless and immaculately kept. I have been going since it opened and it has always maintained these high standards.

Fantastic atmosphere, food and service. It’s my 2nd time here and even better than last time. At start of my night I asked to get a taxi booked for 10pm and sure enough taxi duly arrived right on time. Such a relaxed , pleasant environment to enjoy with my family

The restaurant were flexible as we were late due to traffic, we did phone to inform them and despite it being very busy they accommodated us. The service was good and prompt and the drinks and the food arrived quickly. The food tasted great and there was plenty of it. All the staff were very pleasant and made us feel welcome. When the bill was requested it arrived within a couple of minutes and the waitress was in possession of a card machine which made the process of paying quick and easy. The layout of the restaurant was quirky and interesting and we had privacy in our booth. The atmosphere was very pleasant and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

I had not been to this restaurant for about 10 years and it is still as good as I remebered - really enjoyed the food and even though the restaurant was full the service was fast and efficient. Food was to die for... will definately be back again soon 10/10

Not bad, but nothing special tbh. I ordered a pizza and it was OK at best. Having just visited Salerno at St. James Edinburgh, Obviously, I should've re-adjusted my expectations to be more realistic.

Disappointed with service. Arrived in good time and intimated we were going to a show. Our main course order was misplaced and when it eventually arrived after prompting, it appeared to have been sitting in a warm place. The waitress did apologise but our meal was spoiled. The bill was not amended to acknowledge our disappointment

Excellent meal. We changed the time due to bad weather and public event being cancelled. This was no problem to the staff. The welcome was warm, food and wine were great and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Have visited several times over the years and it is consistently good. Great service and a wide menu.

We had a wonderful waitress, so kind and so helpful (and so understanding when we couldn’t eat some of the really poor food that came out). Worst of it only became apparent later when two of our party got upset stomachs through the night.

Top notch experience at this busy restaurant. We were a party of six that arrived 30 minutes apart. We hadn't seen each other for a while and were busy chatting so the waitress had to come back quite a few times before we were ready to order. The food was good but what really stood out was the service. The waitress who looked after us worked extremely hard to make sure she did exactly that. We felt nothing was too much trouble.

Our waitress was amazing. Couldn’t do enough for us and knew exactly what we needed. Food is totally top notch. Can’t wait to come back. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had a lovely meal for my birthday with my friends. Our waitress Annie was extremely attentive. The menu options are very wide which means there is something for everyone. The food quality was high class and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend Pacos.

We booked at 3:30pm for a birthday dinner before going to football and the restaurant wasn’t busy. We have been before and we loved it the last 2 times so we’re looking forward to it. Unfortunately the food took 50 minutes to come and they forgot about one of our sides. We then had to rush our food to make it to the football on time. The service apart from the wait time though was really good after we told them about our wait for food and they took our drinks off the bill. Disappointing visit this time after the last two times were excellent.

Haven't been in 20 years food was ok the steak pie was disappointing although tasty no soggy puff pastry the service was absolutely brilliant and the cocktails were ace thanks for such a lovely meal we will come back

This is our second visit to Paco’s and it didn’t disappoint. Service was good and efficient, the servers were attentive and easy to gesture to when we were ready for more drinks or the bill and the food was really good! We will be back again someday hopefully!

Went to Pacos for meal before a show at the Perth Concert Hall which is opposite the restaurant. Although it was busy, the staff were very efficient and courteous. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes. My daughter and her husband had soup which they enjoyed. Son in law had a ribeye steak which he deemed one of the best he had eaten. My daughter and I had steak and ale pie which was delicious with melt-in-the-mouth steak and a light crispy pastry. We managed desserts - chocolate brownie sundae, banoffee tart and toffee meringue all of which were beautifully served. Although the restaurant was busy we were served promptly by highly trained staff and I would thoroughly recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a great meal experience.

Young waiter told us the restaurant had been open over 20 years, he thought. How could we have missed it. We only live 20/25 miles away and have been in Perth a fair number of times during those 2 decades. Anyway, to give people a guide. It is across from the Pert music hall and in the same street as Perth Theatre. Mill Street. The place was mobbed, so must be good. Food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. Large choice menu, so you'd have to be very fussy to not find a dish you would like. If you have a wheelchair, or are bad with steps, ask for a table on lower level. It has a series of upper levels. Only a few stairs to each, but if a few stairs is a problem then avoid these upper levels. Paco's may have a lift, but we didn't see one. Apart from food and service, part of the ambiance is all the nick-nacks around the place. Photos and lots of collectables. Guess it took them those 20 years to accumulate them all.

A mid week meal for my son’s birthday and as usual we were never let down, service second to none and Food exceptional, excellent as usual!!

Waited 45 minutes for food, but it was really busy, probably because there was concert on today. Felt we had to rush as waited so long for food and we couldn’t linger to enjoy dessert or coffee as we had to get to theatre. Had we known it would take so long we would have booked earlier time. Food was ok but nothing special. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Visited Pacos , Perth today, 2 adults, 2 & 5 year olds. Service appalling had to chase our order as later reservations had received their orders. Also poor kids menu, plain dry bun & hotdog with plenty of chips that children don’t eat, no selection of vegetables offered. Looked like they were trying to make plates look fuller. Not what you would call healthy.

The food was great , steaks cooked as ordered. The waitress we had was in training, she did really well and was very attentive

Been going to Paco’s for over 10 years and never had a bad meal. It’s that good we were in Santa Ponsa for 4 night and ate in Pacos 2 of the nights. Lovely food, lovely staff and service. Especially loved the garlic chicken

The restaurant felt cold last night and the overhead fans were running. The temperature has dropped outside and it is an old roomy restaurant, They need the heating to go on. The waiter was nice, and honest when I asked if the guacamole was frozen. The fajitas were nice and hot and the meat was cooked perfectly. The sides such as guacamole should of been chilled but were warm from the hot plate. My husband had the steak pie he said the meat inside was fatty but the pastry and sauce was nice. Overall value for the money paid

Hidden Gem. Best restaurant in perth. Huge menu of food and drink choices, large seating capacity makes for a great atmosphere even when not full. Suits all types of dining. Highley recommend

Busy, but great food, friendly service.

Went a month ago with a group of male friends. They are all from the Perthshire area and had been before. I really enjoyed the food and the decor and decided to take my family for my wife's birthday as none of them had been. They were very impressed with the menu and quality of food. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend. Pity there isn't something like this in the Dundee area
