Went for lunch, just the two of us. Welcome was great although you could see it was very busy, staff attentive and friendly. Left us plenty of time to choose. Time to first courses was acceptable indicating to me freshness. So too with main courses which were scrumptious. There is a set menu if you are on a budget and an al a carte which looked reasonably priced. Set menu was brilliant and what we had was good value for money. We woill be back.

This was a last minute choice as my dog pinched my uncooked chicken for tea . We ordered 4 kids bunny pizzas that come with a macaron. It came quicker than my local takeaway and they were delicious 😋. My husband and I were very impressed and the kids were overwhelmed by the bunny ears on their pizza 🍕

Excellent restaurant! Good atmosphere, certainly noisy, but the Scots have the merit of not being loud! The service was quick. The staff is attentive. The boss heard us speaking French and we chatted very friendly. She took the time to show us a few places to visit during our trip even though she and her staff were running in all directions. Recommended!!

Fabulous food, great service, thoroughly recommended. But they went the extra mile, one of us left our phone and they organised a taxi to drop it off for us. They were so helpful, this is what customer service is all about!

Was on a road trip passing by, and needed a quick bite to eat. Seen they offered 2 pizzas for £16. And I must say this is up there with one of the best pizzas I've had. Wood fired oven, great choice of toppings. Guy serving was super friendly. Great value and very impressed

Had a large family meal last night for my Son’s 21st. The whole experience was excellent (as always). But they staff looked after us really well, from my young grandchildren to the various dietary requirements of the group. Worth every penny.

Great food, lovely atmosphere .

It's a long time since I've come across the level of excellent service, food and value that we experienced in Cardo. They did a things above and beyond that are rare (to me) nowadays: a water jug was delivered and poured as soon as we were seated. A platter of fresh bread and butter was put on the table with our meal. A generous tasting glass of the recommended wine was given to help us decide. All the above was done without our asking and all free of charge. I was in Perth on holiday so our visit was a one-off for now but if I lived in the city I'd be in there every weekend. Thank you Cardo.

A lovely meal, good food and service in the usual very noisy restaurant. Side tables by the windows are definitely quitleter.

Haven't been for a while and I was a very disappointed. Hurried service. Place looking a bit tired. The mussels were tiny and bland and many with broken shell in them. No wine, no garlic, no leeks in the sauce. No seasoning in anything ! Chefs have gone downhill. Hake was a chunk of fish...very rough..membrane not removed. Bland. Cooked OK. Meal lacked veg. Macarons were too big and all tasted the same. Oh dear. Up your game!

I visited this wonderful restaurant while in Perth with work, and it was honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time! High on the list of recommendations is the Bruschetta starter - delicious! Friendly staff, great ambiance and beautiful venue. And with such fantastic food, what's not to love? My only disappointment is that I don't live closer - but next time I'm visiting Perth I'll be back!

we have been here several times, but each time we find something not quite right. First impression when we sat down was to be given menus that were ripped and dirty - surely you can afford new menus. The food is good, but the service we got from the waitresses made us feel we were on a conveyor belt. We still had wine, we ordered the dessert which comes with coffee/tea but got the coffee way before the dessert was delivered. The grooves in the table top were full of crumbs from previous diners too. The salt grinder was empty- surely something that should be checked at the start of every service. the food is tasty and we will return, but dont expect a relaxing meal.

Came here to celebrate with family and friends and their welcome could not have been warmer nor their food more delicious. Great value and service. Looking forward to returning many times again.

Best place to eat in Perth. There's something spectacular for everyone on the menu. High quality Scottish and continental options with generous portions, cooked to perfection. Service is friendly and impeccable and great ambiance...even on a Tuesday night!

Service staff were pleasant, but that's as positive as I can be. I have severe allergies that they were informed of when booking. When ordering, the waitress checked that my meal would be okay. I wouldn't be able to have the cream element of the dish, but I was told I would get an alternative and that the kitchen staff were good at being creative. My meal came out and looked very creamy. I checked with the waitress who took my meal away and returned saying it would be a few minutes to check. I got my meal back when the rest of the table had nearly finished, but it had changed. It was now a dry bowl of pasta - no sauce, oil, anything. It was inedible. If I hadn't checked again, I would have been hospitalised. Will certainly not be returning

Advised to pre-book which we did, not local to the area so this was recommended to us. Very busy/popular restaurant, lovely atmosphere, really enjoyed our food, good selection & some specials on the board. Attentive & friendly staff. Would go again if in the area.

Great place to eat Cardo is the successor to Pig'halle and Duo. Restaurant and menu have been refreshed, but the quality of the food and drink has been maintained. Good menu choice, and an excellent frequently changing daily special board. Reasonably priced granted the quality of both food and service - the service is excellent. The venison from the special menu was superb, tender to the point of melt in the mouth.

Rating is not accurate as unable to dine,made a reservation by phone which the individual answering the phone did not record so at 8:15 on a Saturday we had to look for another place to dine. Won’t call them again, make a reservation online. Noisy atmosphere.

Absolutely faultless return visit here today for lunch to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Lovely greeting on arrival and a totally beautiful meal accompanied by rose wine. We've eaten here before and as far as we're concerned it's the "go to" place in Perth for quality food. Can't be beaten

Iv eaten here countless times and I always forget to leave a review. I love this place value for money is outstanding. I usually have the pigs trotter in pastry so good ! However they do a really good value seafood platter which I love. Daily changing specials list also. Nice wine nice food and a lovely family run Bussiness.

Arguably the best restaurant in Perth, it’s a solid choice for dinner and special occasions. Always a couple of specials and the staff are usually friendly and attentive. Try the macrons.

Used to eat here when it was Pig Halle, glad it's remained as good quality. Lovely ambience, polite and friendly staff, delicious food from an imaginative menu. Whitebait perfectly cooked, pork cheeks (slow cooked) absolutely melt-in-the-mouth. Also the seafood risotto had a good consistency and decent variety of seafood and mussels in their shells. Will return and would recommend.

First visit to this restaurant and will definitely return. Enjoyed set menu of chicken & chorizo skewers on a bed of pesto followed by pork cheeks and lemon tart. Presentation of food and service were excellent.

Still the best pizza in Perth by a mile if you have it in the restaurant. The last three times we've ordered takeout however the food has arrived cold ( we only live 5 minutes drive from the place). So definitely a good place to eat at but not for delivery.

Visited last night for my Birthday with my partner and have to say we've had a pleasant time. It was our 1st time here but defo not the last. Glad we choose this place for dinner , the atmosphere was lovely and the food was honestly excellent ,so delicious and great portions.

We have wanted to try the Cardo Gourmet Box from their Takeaway menu for some time. On a wet and cold miserable evening we decided to place an order for a Home Delivery. We were not disappointed. I placed my order by phone to Cardo, speaking to a very pleasant and helpful member of staff. The Gourmet Box is £38 plus delivery charge and well worth the price. It consists of 3 Tapas (good sized portions) of your choice, 1 portion of Loaded Fries of your choice , 1 portion Garlic Bread and 4 delicious macaroons , again you choose from a large variety. This was more than enough for 2 people. I would definitely recommend you give it a try. The Gourmet Box was delivered in good time and was piping hot. Well done again CARDO.

In my opinion, the best in Perth! Food is absolutely amazing and does taste like what I would find in a nice restaurant in France! Totally recommend!

The food was SO good. The tagline ‘French, Pizza, Mediterranean’ sells this place short. We were in a bit of a hurry and concerned that service may be slow as the place was full. But we needn’t of worried as our choices of Venison and Black Grouse came perfectly on time and perfectly cooked/presented. It’s the first time in a long time that my plate is so good that I’ve insisted that the person I’m with taste it, and vice versus. Honestly, so so delicious. The staff were brilliant, attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing. We will definitely be back and really recommend Cardo to anyone.

Ordered take away . Food was great. So fresh as always , kids portions were great. We got the family meal deal . So tasty . BUT must say that the delivery guy was a absolute gent. He dropped a bag and spilled chips but only lost a few . It was no big deal at all . But he later returned with fresh chips and a macrons, honestly what a lovely gesture, so thank you cardo And your delivery guy is a absolute gem . 10/10 from us .

First visit to Cardo this evening. Staying in Perth this weekend, attending a wedding. Found great reviews on TripAdvisor for Cardo. We can completely agree. Service exceptional & genuine. Food delicious. Very good value for money. Will definitely return. Thoroughly recommend.

Unfortunately if I could give this restaurant 0 🌟s I would. We have eaten there on a few previousl occasions and had a good experiences. We arrived a 19.00hrs for our pre-booked table. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy. There were 3 members of front of house staff. The male waiter on the 6th Oct 23 took our simple order of 1 x starter 2 x main meals, consisting of pasta dish and a pizza 1 x bottle of white wine. The coconut muscles starter arrived approx 15 mins after our arrival, unfortunately it was extremely average, containing large pieces of raw onion, whole unpeeled cloves of garlic, could barley find the taste of coconut. The male waiter returned to remove our starter dishes. He didn't ask how we found the starter, simply removing the dishes. OUR MAIN MEALS HADN'T ARRIVE AFTER 35 MINUTES, DESPITE THE 4 TIMES I ASKED THE MALE WAITER WITH A POLITE"EXCUSE PLEASE " WE MADE EYE CONTACT BUT HE SIMPLE IGNORED ME. I had observed a pasta dish sitting under the hot lights staff collection area, for approx 10 minutes. 4 x other tables who had arrived after us, had received their starters and main meals. I was forced to go to the staff area/bar and asked when we would receive our maim meals. When the male waiter saw me going to the bar he suddenly found the time to join me. He informed "its coming". I pointed out that a pasta dish had been sitting under the hot lights for 10 minutes and told i"t's not its only just arrived ", making me out to being untruthful. The pasta dish was removed and taken back to the kitchen, no sign of the pizza we had ordered. I will not stand and be accused of being untruthful regarding how long a pasta dish had been sitting there for. I asked to pay for what we had received 1 x bottle of wine and the starter. One of the female staff was very apologetic and deducted the average mussel starter from the bill. Therefore I paid £21 for a bottle of wine, to be insulted, accused of being being untruthful regarding pasta dish that had been sitting under the hot lights for 10 minutes. We left quitely, as we did not want other dinner's to be made to feel uncomfortable as we had just experienced. We spent our hard earned money elsewhere. This was a very unpleasant experience, simply because a staff member could not own up to their errors in dealing with a simple order of food. I hope the owners understand that this review is an honest account of the horrible situation we experienced.

Cardo is my favourite place to get takeaway pizza, it's our go to place for takeaways in Perth. For celebrating my graduation booking a table here was my first choice! We had a lovely meal however unfortunately a family member had a medical emergency. The staff were absolutely amazing, so kind, calm and attentive despite having a fully booked restaurant at the time. Thank you 💜

First visit since the new ownership. The restaurant was extremely busy for a Wednesday. Obviously a good sign. The service was less attentive than I would have expected but this may have been due to the busy period. The food, Beef Skirt special and Moussaka were both excellent. Pricing was also very competitive for the area. Would highly recommend and hope the service next team is as good as the food. Will definitely return.

Really tasty, really quirky place. Had a big city feel about it for trendiness, almost a bit out of place in Perth, but it was all really well done. The food was delicious and the staff are very friendly. We had a great dinner there.

Great food in a great atmosphere

Arrived without pre booking but although very busy we were accommodated. Friendly and efficient staff together with excellent food made this a great choice. Two course lunch special was great value for money at £12. Highly recommend and will definitely return when next in Perth.

I ordered a takeaway to arrive at 6.15 pm as I wouldn’t be home until then . The delivery came at 5.45 . The rest of my family had a delicious meal but by the time I got my pizza half an hour later , it was a cold slab of cardboard. I’ve tried to contact the restaurant twice , and it seems their customer service is as bad as their delivery scheduling as the haven’t bothered to reply . Since I’m writing a review I will add that when I visited the restaurant the food was good but the tables were annoyingly wobbly, hence ordering a takeaway . Not again though .

I have been to Cardo several times and have always had a great experience so I assumed that if I ordered a takeaway then I would have had a similar experience. I ordered the food to be delivered at 6:15 the time that I would be home from work unfortunately it was delivered at 5:45 and by the time I got home the food was cold. I reheated it but it was obviously past its best and half the food was binned.you might think that 1 star review is harsh but when I contacted them they just ignored me. I understand that mistakes can happen but I would expect them to at least acknowledge that they did

I've always loved it here, being my favourite restaurant in Perth (and its previous incarnation as Pig'Halle). Food is excellent, there is a large selection to choose from, however I feel the best can be found from the set menu and specials board. There is a good selection of drinks and friendly, attentative staff.

Impromptu pizza after a swim and the staff were fantastic. Restaurant was fully booked so they squeezed us (2adults, 2kids) in at a table in the take away area, which actually suited us perfectly. Very attentive, quick service, yummy food and incredible macarons. Highlight was the great service, thanks!

Were made to feel very welcome on arrival and so the tone for the evening was set. We were quickly given the wine list and soon after gthat but not too soon orders for drink. You are probably thinking this is what is expected but it is not every restaurant that gets it right but Cardo does. For me the main reason for eating is the food. This where Cardo exceeds. The food was simply superb. I had the pork cheeks as a starter. The menu description needs to be changed and should be called "melt in the mouth pork cheeks" they were that good. The kids menu is perfect with more than generous portions. From the moment we arrived till we were leaving the staff were just great. This not our first visit and will certainly not be our last. Many many thanks for giving us a lovely evening.

We are fans of Cardo but feel it maybe needs a revamp. Table settings seem tired and the myriad of menus is a bit confusing. The specials boards can't be read from the tables and the wine we had wasn't good. But Cardo is always busy so little time for changes I suppose. We enjoyed our food but felt it was a wee bit less inspiring than past visits. Accompaniments in the way of vegetables were absent on this occasion.

We visited for lunch having heard good things about the restaurant. We weren’t disappointed. 2 of us opted for the chicken supreme as the plat du jour with the other having the pan fried cod. All three were excellent, the cod and chicken were perfectly cooked and accompanied by very good dauphinois potatoes, roast sweet potato and tender stem broccoli. The sauces on each dish were the perfect accompaniment. Sweets consisted of two raspberry parfaits and a raspberry clafoutis, both were absolutely beautiful. All washed down with a cracking bottle of French rosé. Coming at around £90 in total, it’s excellent value for money and easily one of the best meals we’ve had while in Perth.

We regularly get Pizzas from Cardo ...always delicious and on time of order ..with a friendly smile ! The best Pizza's in Perth by far.

Have been to this restaurant a number of times in the past and it has always been excellent. Thankfully this has not changed. The food was exceptional and the servers were lovely even with the restaurant being fully booked

We ordered on Deliveroo and after 2 hours of nothing it finally came up saying it had arrived however nothing was here. I then went and phoned the restaurant to be told their printer was broken and that I’d be phoned back regarding a refund....

I could really go into detail here about how dull, burnt, small portions and disappointing every dish was but i feel for the staff. Never going back. Obviously playing to the ladies who lunch brigade. Kudos to the waiting staff for going above and beyond.
