First time eating here and it was absolutely amazing. The food was excellent. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Will be back soon.

This was a really nice place. Old traditional building that has become a Cypriot restaruant. The service was superb. The menu was explained to us and we ordered many different things. All the food was lovely. Great calamari and mousaka.

We were greeted by Emma and she offered our dog a bowl of water straight away (we were sat in the bar area with him) and he was made to feel very welcome The service was really really good all night and the food was absolutely delicious- we were even planning our next visit while eating! We came midweek and got two mezze deals between the three of us which included 2 glasses of wine and seperately we got 3 cocktails, a coffee and a soft drink and it only came to £85 which was such good value for money Mojitos were very drinkable and we'll definitely be back!

We have visited the restaurant on 3 occasions. The first time we did not book ahead and tried to walk in. There were maybe 4 tables in the restaurant and we the rest were reserved so we were turned away fair enough and silly me for not booking. The second time we booked and the food and service were fantastic absolutely flawless and 2 for 1 on gyros on a Tuesday its value for money. The third time was over the live music weekend, we tried to book and were told they were not taking booking this weekend and it was walk in business only. We arrived on Saturday at around 17:00 and there was one of 10-12 in and we were told it was too busy and to come back in an hour, so we did. After this hour we came back to only the same large table in the restaurant who were finishing up. The waitress then told us they were very sorry they couldn’t sit the three of us as there were tables coming in… this annoyed me as we were told there was no pre booking. Overall the food is fantastic but it seems like the restaurant do not manage their communication very well.

We was there on Friday. Wow amazing. Put a 3 for atmosphere because it was nice and quiet even when it was near full. So could chill and eat our food. Servers were lovely and always asking how everything was. Will definitely be back again.

Have eaten here many times and always really enjoy. We ate here recently, food was good as always but there was a man in the kitchen playing videos really loudly on his phone. We could literally hear the contents of the videos even though we were sitting at the table beside the entrance. We could tell the waitress looked uncomfortable and knew this was unprofessional as she would give us glances whenever there was loud noises coming from the kitchen. Regardless, the food is good and service is generally good normally. Hopefully we have a better experience next time.

I absolute love this little bistro, the atmosphere is always amazing with all staff looking like they enjoy their job, and the owner having a laugh and joke with staff and customers, the food is out of this world tho, best wee place in toon

Birthday meal out for two friends. Food was plentiful and really fresh. Pitta and dips to start. Succulent pork belly, tender prawns and delicious Saganaki. Still full 4 hours later. Lovely friendly staff.

What a great wee place. The food and service were exceptional, in fact the girl taking our order was the friendliest and most efficient I've come across in a long time. Only negative I'd say is that the place could do with a fresh decor, but it's a small issue so don't be put off. We'll be heading back in the not too distant future that's for sure.

Had grilled halloumi and chips with tzatziki sauce wrapped in pita bread. My husband had mixed meat one with chicken and pulled pork. He really enjoyed it.

Can’t fault one thing one of the best meals I’ve had

Delightful taverna close to the theatre in Arbroath. Visited (pre booked )on Friday 10 May with a friend. The restaurant was clean and staff welcoming thankfully no loud music to distract from easy conversation and a varied reasonably priced menu with vegetarian choices. Limited wine and beer on offer but what we had was perfectly good. A glass of Malbec and a bottle of Mythos beer. Keo unavailable. The food we ordered was well prepared and substantial, salads were fresh and the whole meal felt authentic and was delicious. I have lived in Cyprus and my friend is a seasoned visitor to Greece, so we both appreciated a proper Greek meal. The pitta was totally amazing as was the feta cheese with our Greek salad. The waiting staff were charming and we were disappointed not to be able to leave a well deserved tip as like most folks neither of us carried any cash and the waitress was not allowed to add any service charge to our bill. Perhaps this is something that can be reviewed as we sincerely wished to show our appreciation. I have no hesitation in recommending Andreou’s restaurant and look forward to a return visit. We visited last night and thoroughly enjoyed our vegan meal, lots of options for us to choose from. The food was magnificent as well as the service the only criticism we had was it all felt a bit rushed. We were thoroughly enjoying our sharing starter when the mains appeared and we felt rushed to eat everything in case the food went cold, the flavours were then mixed into one and we felt it was somewhat overwhelming. We did mention this to the waitress which we were told this is how it is?? As I say we couldn't fault the food or the service and we certainly didn't leave hungry and we will return.

A little bit of Greece in Arbroath. The food was very good quality and generous in portion size! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely go back. I visited again in 2024 and the quality, quantity and friendliness was still 5 star. The best restaurant in Arbroath.

We arrived at 18.00 for a table for two to be met with a barrage of noise coming from the pub next door we could not even speak to each other it was that cold customers were dining with their jackets on we had for a starter haulumi chips that came not cut when my girlfriend asked about this she was told the chef could not be bothered cutting them it was the worst experience I have ever had add the unisex toilet that all the people from next door were parading through the restaurant to use would not recommend this place at all

Booked for Afternoon Tea for Mother’s Day. As we arrived early we called to ask if we could bring our booking forward by 30mins and were told yes no problem. We arrived and were seated promptly. Bistro is cold so dress warmly. We waited for 15 mins before being offered drinks- we were one of 3 tables in at this time. After another 15-20 mins after that until our order was taken. Despite offering various options ie vegetarian vegan GF etc and with no restrictions given during the booking process or on their social media advertising, we were told we couldn’t have one ordinary AT and one vegetarian- they must be the same. Disappointing and we wouldn’t have booked if we’d been told that. The kitchen appeared to be under stress with the 4 tables, including us, who were in by then, despite everyone eating/arriving at staggered times. The 2 young waitresses were very pleasant and one apologised re the lack of choice as advertised. We obviously had no option but to choose vegetarian. The food itself was good, despite taking a very long time to come. The cakes included frozen profiteroles which had just defrosted. Overall it was fine but if no option to order individual choices if one person has dietary requirements/preferences then that should be made plain to customers. Slow food service, despite not being busy but this wouldn’t put us off returning however hopefully choices would be given and service be a bit quicker next time.

What a gem! I really didn’t expect the authentic Cypriot & Greek atmosphere that this restaurant had. It was small, rustic and the first thing you smell when you enter is the charcoal grill. The food was amazing, looked and tasted authentic (like if cooked by your Cypriot gran) and brought us back straight to the Mediterranean. Would definitely recommend.

Good food and great service. Colour scheme (blue/white, traditional colors) weren't as welcoming as the cozy surroundings of darker colors and drapes would be, it was almost like a bathroom with too much white and contrasting blue for me, personally. Can't fault the food, beverages, service and prices though. Very good.

Little Greece in Britain. The food is very tasty and staff is very welcoming. We liked meze for 2 very much, the portion is quite big. Also recommend trying the prawns, they are so tasty. Also thank you for being open on Sunday, there are not so many place to eat and we were lucky to find you. Thank you! Will come back.

We had the new high tea. It was wonderful, a big platter between 2 including chicken skewers, dips, humus, savory muffins. Followed by cakes which were wonderful. The 2 vegetarians got falafel instead of the skewers, so everyone was happy. Brilliant!

Portions are large and everything on the menu is very reasonably priced. it was a shame we were the only ones there when we went for lunch today - hope to pop in for dinner sometime soon. The shelves of items to purchase looked a little bare although this could have been because it was just after Christmas - would loved to have picked up some bits to take home!

We arranged for 25 ladies to come for lunch before going to panto and paid a deposit and gave a preorder unfortunately the room was cold with no decorations, when our meals were finally delivered they were not very warm with one lady having to wait some time for hers and most had finished can’t fault the two ladies serving us they were pleasant but felt let down so won’t be going back

We heard such great things about this restaurant that we thought we would give it a try as we love Mediterranean food. It was a particularly cold night but the restaurant was cold. We felt for Arbroath the wine was overpriced. The starters we had were lovely but the mains arrived before we had finished our meze. The mains were average. Would prefer presented on a plate rather than a slate. No oozo left!!

This was our second visit and the food was fabulous again. There was a wait for our food to arrive but well worth it because we knew it was all being freshly cooked. We had the mixed grill for two as well as a chicken souvlaki and lamb kofta all to share between 4 adults. There was so much in the portions and all high quality and well presented. Our son ate free as part of a Sunday deal on children's food. Can't recommend this place highly enough and we will def be back! Wine was also amazing!

Fantastic food, ive been to Andreous a number of times and always found the food to be outstanding. The overall quality of atmosphere and food is very high. However the service is often brutally slow and borderline neglectful. The last time in the restaurant we wait over a half hour to jave our food order even taken, with around 7 or tables sat and two servers. I've worked in hospitality and understand how hard it can be and the reality and limitations but I found the service this and every time rk be a let down.the only gripe of an authentic, flavourful and tasteful restaurant that is a credit to arbroath.

Lovely little place. Clean, was quiet enough, we had pre-booked. Service was good. food was delicious. The humous was excellent. Best pitta bread I've had, warm, soft and with pockets if airline bubbles making it so tasty. Everything we ate was so good. Highly recommended.

Sat down in an empty restaurant, ordered a lot of food and told we were ordering a lot of food (surely this is a good thing for any restaurant). Ordered a few drinks, yet when new customers arrived after paying the bill and giving a tip, we’re basically hassled out the door… Now I understand why it’s empty. We won’t be back. Good luck pissing off locals like that. Such a shame as food was nice enough yet when you’re treated like that, don’t expect me back.

Wir haben gerade mit 7 Leuten einen schönen Abend mit tollem, frischen und leckerem Essen sowie sehr nettem Service verbracht. Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und Nachtisch waren ebenso gut wie die Getränke! Da wir unsere Hunde mitgebracht haben, bekamen wir einen eigenen Raum (bei anderen Lokalen im Ort wurden wir nur abgewiesen). Hier jedoch sehr gerne wieder!

Our choice of venue to celebrate an 85th birthday. Loved the unpretentious ambience and super friendly staff as always. The food is simple, earthy and full of robust flavour and freshly cooked. No cheffy nonsense here or minimalist presentation! We’re told the menu has recently been tweaked, and Saturday lunches offered, so we will definitely be back soon.

Was looking forward to a taste of Greece, extremely disappointing visit. We arrived 5 minutes before our table booking time, there was only one other table occupied who were just leaving. We sat for 15 minutes before being offered the drinks menu, another 10 minutes before they arrived. We then ordered our meal starting with pitta and dips which still hadn’t arrived 25 minutes later. We paid for our drinks and left. We were told they were serving a table of 26 next door in the bar and that’s why we hadn’t been attended to. No excuse really but possibly an explanation at the time of ordering may have eased the situation slightly but this was not our problem. We will not return.

The wife and I enjoyed a pre theatre dinner on the 1st February and thoroughly enjoyed our food. The staff are fantastic and friendly and the food is delicious. We got the shared starter of bread and dips before moving on to our mains, lamb moussaka for the better half and I enjoyed a minced lamb dish that I can’t recall the name of suffice to say it was like 4 large meatballs, both served with either Greek rice or a choice of flavoured chips and also bread. In insight we should have maybe not went for the bread and dips starter but that doesn’t detract from the quality of the food. We have previously eaten here and enjoyed the meze to share and thats a lot of delicious food to eat and sample the various tapas available. Excellent food, friendly staff, value for money

We enjoy eating at this very friendly Greek Cypriot bistro with its authentic food and atmosphere. Highly recommend the great value Meze’s. You could be forgiven for thinking you were eating abroad but even better. Staff are always so friendly. We feel lucky to have this great restaurant close to where we live.

Very old fashioned! By the looks if it was and old mans pub they have tryed to turn into a restaurant.....and failed !

Good menu but went for the Mete seams a little pricey but you gets loads so is good value.

Definitely recommend the meze for two (for 2) Breads, dips, olives, meats, cheeses, salad,calamari, chips and can have vegetarian or vegan alternative. Absolutely stuffed and food was beautiful. Dessert was good and pints were cold. Came highly recommended and we will be back

10/10 food! If you are in Arbroath then please make sure that you visit here because the food is insane. Not only that but the restaurant has a chilling and calm vibe. The staff were helpful and nothing was ever too much of an ask. We didn’t have to wait long to be served. They do a wide variety of drinks and there is something for everyone on the menu. The next time I am in the area I will 100% be returning. I would recommend booking as I do believe the restaurant gets booked up extremely quickly due to the food being that popular.
