Great place to stop at with a trendy tasty menu, great attention to detail! Had little halloween decor on tables which was cute. Also outdoor seating with fireplace. Really liked the fact they had baby changing facilities and toiletries to use as well! Will defo be back.

The decor inside the place is very modern, everything is very clean including the toilets Took quite a long time to get served, quality of the food is generally good although I would stop short of calling it amazing It's also not the cheapest place either, although you are paying extra for the premium atmosphere, decor, toilets etc and convenient location as well as the higher quality of food Overall, not a bad choice of place to stop and probably the best place to go for food near the A90 dual carriageway

Well priced. Boring sausages and bacon in breakfast rolls but excellent haggis, black pudding and fried egg so overall good experience. Would be good if they had a better stocked takeaway shop for travellers (e.g. branded drinks and sweets to take with you in the car. A coke, chocolate bar, sweets and crisps) Missing a money making opportunity, and would mean I wouldn't have to stop elsewhere for that.

First time here today, we both had the buffalo chicken burger, food was excellent very high quality produce, fries were delicious and the chicken was perfectly cooked we asked for sauces on the side as we didn’t know how spicy it was and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also a small range of very nice well presented local produce.

Absolutely fantastic locally produced food. Stopped off for breakfast at the start of a long journey. Ideal start to the day. Pleasant setting and very friendly staff. If you're passing, drop in, you won't be disappointed.

This is such a nice little grillhouse. The food was absolutely to die for and the service was amazing. We also got the food really fast. They have the cutest outdoor area that I can only imagine is cozy when the burner is lit.

We've popped in here for lunch a couple of times. Both times I've had the Signature Hotdog and both times it's been great. Super tasty and even the chips are great!

Always a pleasure stopping here if we are travelling south. Tucked just by the A90, you may miss it if you don't keep a look out for the A G + L signs! Great food, lovely drinks from small Scottish companies (highly recommend the Summer House Raspberry Lemonade!) and even a lovely choice of things in the larder to take with you. Focus is on the range and quality Scotland has to offer. Oh - and the best bathrooms you will ever visit!

Stopped here after having my eye on it for a while. It was a beautiful sunny day and I managed to get a table outside. I was out for a cycle and so the sensible thing would have been to have a roll, but it’s quite out the way for me and given I probably wouldn’t be back any time soon I opted for the muckle grill instead (essentially the big version of their fry up). The breakfast was absolutely beautiful, one of those where every single thing on the plate is high quality and well cooked. I will admit it was maybe a bit of a tactical error given I was half way through a 100km cycle but I regret nothing! Look forward to coming back maybe later in the day and trying some of their day menu.

This spot is perfect stop off for breakfast. Clean and tidy. Local produce for sale eggs and selection of organic produce.

Definitely recommend if you are needing a coffee or food stop, eat in and takeaway. Food was delicious and quick to come out, really fussy about eggs i can never even get scrambled eggs right and they were fantastic, coffee was great - love the little tablet on the side which was also delicious, even the music choice and bathrooms were top notch 🤣👏🏼 service was also great. So nice to stop in somewhere that is clearly supporting local produce and businesses too

Absolutely fabulous stop with the dog. Service was quick and friendly. Had coffees and breakfast rolls, coffee was delicious and the wee bit of tablet on the side was amazing. The rolls were hot, well filled and tasty. Lovely outdoor seating to sit with the dog. Toilets are fab- lots of sustainable products in there - really couldn’t fault it!

We found this by chance on a 5hr road trip. The food is knock out with traditional breakfast baps through to smashed avocado on sour dough (bit of which we ordered). My son had the pancakes & fruit special… it was huge! The pancakes were the best I’ve tried. The waitress was lovely too 😀 What’s also lovely is there’s an opportunity to buy local produce and gifts. We picked up an aromatherapy candle. They’re well set for allergies too. Highly recommend!

Over the years we have visited this venue during a number of reincarnations however this present one is not only the best ever at this location - I believe it’s the best on the A90. Great service, great food and immaculate toilets. Why would you stop anywhere else?

Again 5⭐️ Fraser is the best front of house and Sean in the kitchen - couldn’t fault the food. Burger was succulent - perfect!

I like this place but unfortunately had a very bad experience. I have coeliac disease and must avoid gluten or risk a bad reaction and damage. This place has a separate gluten free menu and has been fine in the past but today despite checking multiple times throughout ordering and even when I was given the plate, the waitress came out 10 minutes or so later to tell me the bun I had started eating wasn't gluten free at all. I've never been caught out so badly before. And to make matters worse the chef came out with a blasé response with the same hot hog that was just in the normal bun now in a glute free bun. Apparently they've not heard of cross contamination before. I chose not to eat anymore and they at least didn't charge us for the full meal but these are very serious mistakes. While coeliac disease is serious enough just imagine if it was an allergy. If you suffer from any such condition you would best avoid this place regrettably.

Been a few times here but this visit was a disappointment. Short staffed so 30 mins wait for our coffees; sausages rather bland, bacon much too salty. Partner asked for especially crispy bacon but got the regular. Coffee was good as always. Sad to leave a mediocre review as it was clearly a staffing problem.

Great place to stop for lunch whilst on route. Great little spot to let the dogs have a leg stretch but the dog space wasn't very big and we couldn't take them in whilst we were eating, understandable with the size of the place but little disappointing. Weirdly, the toilets are worth noting, almost unnecessarily high standard with murals hand painted on the walls.

Coffee best in the area. Also do a loyalty system. Buy 6 get your 7th Free

Stopped on the way home from Aberdeen had a really great coffee, also bought a Phoniex Loaf from Inverbervie. We used to live in Inverbervie and were always buying all types of bread and cakes every week from Phoniex Bakery. They use the bread for there sandwiches here so will be stopping more often for coffee and a sandwich or cake. Real little gem. Staff were very friendly.

American-style diner with very rapid service (food delivered within 15 mins, ordered at 13:45). Food was good quality, but I found the braveheart burger too salty (and I am no stranger to salty food). It wasn't helped by the fries also being pre-salted. The macaroni cheese had a better balance of seasoning. Nice clean place with good toilets too.

One of the best places we have been. We travel a lot, I mean in the UK and Europe as well. Delicious food, friendly attentive staff, fresh cakes, tasty ice cream and strong coffee served quickly and in style. Even the fudge is homemade and over delicious! Portions are huge. Grant yourself additional time to be ready to leave. :) The restrooms are modern and full of art, crispy clean and stuffed with all necessary items. The place is child friendly, doggies have their space outside. Assistance dogs are welcome inside. It was a pleasure to be their guests. We definitely will plan our rides through the AH+L on our upcoming journeys.

This is best place to stop on the A90 by a mile! Such a lovely place. It’s so clean and the loos are exceptional! The coffee and food is really great, and they do fantastic milkshakes! I am gluten free and they have lots of options and I always have confidence when ordering that they’ll make my food safe. Thank you!

Food was poor quality and I did complain at the time, got the chicken burger at £15 tasted and looked like a supermarket frozen one, looked burnt and grease dripping all over the plate. Not impressed.

So we enjoyed our lunch at Angus Grill + Larder on the way to Glasgow so much that we stopped in by on the way home too! Shared the Braveheart burger and Signature hot dog on Saturday, then it was haggis loaded fries, chicken wings and onion rings on Sunday. The onion rings alone were worth it. Delicious food, good service and funcy toilets!

I'll be honest the coffee, freshly brewed coffee beans, wasn't brilliant neither the cakes. However, the service was brilliant and other products they sell a superb. Also, they probably got the cleanest toilet in Scotland. The hand soaps smells amazing.

Stopped in-by for breakfast. Younger woman waitress was very dismissive and didn’t seem to want us there. She treated the older patrons with a lot more respect. Food and coffee was good and the other waiter was a lot more friendly.

My wife and I enjoyed a treat of a lunch here this afternoon. Refreshing to find this in the locality instead of McDonalds or a trudge into the city for the 'same old, same old'. The food was top-notch as was the service and the general attention to detail on the interior. On a sunny day an autumnal coffee wrapped-up on the outdoors picnic table/bench would be nice such are the views. Hope to come back!

My friend and I went for afternoon coffee and had some amazing cake. Service was great and very friendly. Nice atmosphere and lots of choices including gluten free. Some local produce is also available. Nice area for children to draw or write. Will definitely go back again.

NOT DOG FRIENDLY They advertise that they're dog friendly but they're not. There's a bit of grass for you dog to pee on but they're not allowed inside so you have to either leave the dog in the car or eat outside - like absolutely every other establishment that ISN'T dog friendly. Don't have a problem with it not being dog friendly in principle, each to their own. Just don't advertise it and inconvenience people who have come out their way, with their dog. In the time we were sat outside waiting for our food another 3no. cars pulled up and tried to take their dogs in, only to be turned away. Clearly a problem that needs resolved - stop pretending. On a positive note, the take away food and coffee was good, we'll come back another time without the dogs.

We had stop for lunch. For 4 of us we spent £55, 2 portions just half portion, Signature dog, cheese burger, grilled cheese, all with fries, and loaded haggis fries. Portions good size, even half portions. Root beer and hot chocolate delicious, if ordering milkshake ,you are getting a bucket of it with cream on top.

Fine food at AG&L and plenty of it. You never leave there feeling hungry, that's for sure :o)

Only stopped for a cappuccino so can’t comment on the food. The cappuccino however was really nice and came with a piece of fudge on the side. The service was great and based on this I’ll definitely visit again to try the food offerings soon…

What a lovely road side cafe, stopped off here on Long Journey, very pleasantly surprised in particular with the art work in the loo. Lovely cake and coffee with very friendly service for us and our dogs. Don't pass by its worth a stop.

Visited 22/9/23. Hand sanitizer at entry empty. Hand sanitizer outside toilet empty. Soap containers in toilet empty. When I mentioned this to staff the reply was. I’m too busy. Cappuccino small and £3.85! Tasted fine though. This was my first and last visit. Very disappointed.

Went here this morning just for something quick to eat. Once we got there decided to just sit in instead. Ordered the 2 X AGL large breakfasts, 2 lattes Service was quick within about 8 minutes it was already on our table. Food was excellent, really really good, both me and my partners scoffed the lot. Place was very clean, and the bathrooms I must admit I was surprised with. My biggest surprise I came across tho was nothing to do with AGL, but a small piece of fudge that we got with the latte. The fudge was vanilla dairy fudge, and I must admit I haven't tasted anything like it before, and I used to be a baker... this is from a small company called caked n fudge, which I believe is local too My only complaint would be the price, at £13 a breakfast and latte cost us the better part of £35 for 2 of us. I won't remove a star because of it tho as people should be able to charge what they want, food was locally sourced and I like that... will I be back, definitely,

So much better than McDonalds! Misses wanted a burger so we thought we’d try here instead. Burgers were perfect with no suspicious gristly bits and very tasty layers of cheese and bacon. Chips and onion rings crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Decor clean and fresh. Service quick and efficient. Really was a pleasure to get lunch here. Next time breakfast!

Steak burger was amazing, well worth stopping in for on it's own. Everything else was really good as well though. Cheesecake was great too. Will be making this our stop on the way down the road for sure.

Extremely friendly and efficient staff, varied menu, nothing fancy and everything is delicious, fair share of kids options, a really good stop on the road. We had burgers milkshakes, kid’s hotdog, coffees… we don’t regret it and we nearly stopped there again on our way back! There is a play area for children as well with tables and chairs their size (and Lego!) The 3 toilets have been decorated by 3 different local artists and are full of utilities. There is a dog enclosure on the car park for the dogs to safely stretch their legs Really happy to stopped there on our way to Aberdeen

Decided to pop in as we were going to be passing. Unless you know where it is, be aware, it is Al.ost hidden till you are on it, fine if you know the area, but if not, keep your eyes peeled. The main seating area is clean and inviting, the outside area has a massive fire pit, and looks lovely. The food, well, the food is amazing. All local produce, exceptionally well prepared, and your taste buds will love you forever. The staff are friendly and the service is 1st class. It is a little pricier than a normal cafe, but on par with any roadside service station. However, the food is 100% worth every penny. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Have been driving past this place for a while and finally decided to take a look. The branding made it seem posher than a simple roadside cafe, and it was. Some thought and effort obviously gone into getting it right. Dogs' area, kids' area, local produce with suppliers mentioned explicitly. A range of interesting local items for sale. Nice looking cakes. When we walked in it seemed a bit cold and empty. The waitress didn't even look up. We had to find the menus ourselves (in a rack on the wall) and pick a table. When we had chosen what we want I approached the desk and the girl cheerfully said I'll come to the table for your order. We had a breakfast and a cake and they were very tasty. No complaints there. The menu looked very good and had a lot of choice. Bit expensive but met the expectation given the branding. Would have been five stars if we'd been met at the door with a smile and a menu. We'll be back as I'm thinking today was an exception.

Stopped for breakfast. Would heartily recommend it. Staff were excellent and the food was well presented and very good.

I've been here a few times and have always liked the food served, however, this time it was so good I had to leave a review. The Louisiana burger was on the specials menu and sang to me as soon as I saw it. The cooking of the burger was absolutely spot on, perfect. Juicy, tender and just a little bit pink, like I say, perfect. I only wish I'd taken a photo to show it off, but it was down my throat before I could think.

I've driven past this place a few times and finally tried it . The service was excellent and the toilets were actually so clean and different . However I was pretty disappointed in the food , I ordered a fried chicken burger which you would assume is a chicken breast with batter of sorts . However it is a chicken mince type of party and really wasn't what I was expecting, the menu needs to be a bit more descript on this front. I know this place uses local produce and the rest of the toppings on the burger were good . I also felt that the price was around 2/3 pounds too expensive for the burger , just my opinion but understand businesses have operating costs and that especially today in this climate running costs are higher than ever .

We just popped in for a coffee however the cafe was spotless as were the toilets. Coffee was good and from what we could see the food being served looked very nice, we didn't eat so can't really comment.
