The Osnaburg Bar in Angus

Good to see this great bar under new ownership and thriving again.

Spent a good couple of hours in here before the Forfar v Hibs game yesterday, excellent bar staff and friendly locals. Never got involved in food.

Spend most of my younger years in this pub. Sorry to hear that It might be closing down.

Neil’s 60th birthday party a great celebration and catch-up. The Osnaburg was everyone’s local in the day and they gave as warm welcome, apart from having to kick us out at closing time 😂

A great town centre public house with friendly service and great selection of drinks plus live music at the weekend

Lively pub with decent food. Go during a football or rugby match for a good time with lots of locals.

Nice warm welcoming pub. Had a nice lunch of there light snack menu.

They re not open for food and have not been since lockdown ! No nearby parking . Give it a miss !

Great night in. Quiet due to time of the year but still plenty in. No Stella unfortunately due to delivery issues but other lagers available.

Into watch footie nice touch with the free sausage rolls which were yummy will be back next time in forfar.

Fantastic friendly pub. Sunday was quiz night and we were welcomed like locals. The Jarl real ale was good and the locals all friendly and accomodating. A lovely sense of community here. Green King who own the lease would be foolish to lose this gem of a local community pub.

Meal was lovely, staff friendly but it is a tad small and the meal was marred by an old lady with half her teeth cackling and swearing all evening. Not totally within the control of staff but a shut up thrown in her direction would have been nice

Went for a Christmas lunch and it was delicious. Service was excellent too

Lovely Thai dish only spoilt by the spooky real ale which I think had gone off.

Went to open mic night tonight for first time at this venue it was brilliant hope there will be more live music. Staff very friendly will certainly be back

Nice place but bit intimidating when you walk in to a pub full of football fans. 3 stars for not updates of no food serving but it's a great place to have a drink.

We've been there twice for lunch and the food has been excellent both times. The staff are very friendly and helpful and both times they have gone out of their way to help us with directions to Balshanner etc. Any time we're in Forfar we'll pop in

Food is amazing! Not just your average pub grub. Been in a few times now since it's refurbishment. Only issue is you now can't enjoy a meal and conversation due to the noise when the football is on. Will definitely be back for meals though.

A grand friendly welcome to an old but clean and fresh pub. We had three meals, all excellent, I wish we had pubs like this in Caerphilly
