Was devine food and the service was brilliant the host very welcoming

Food cooked to order and the taste was amazing. Had a Penang curry and flavours were unbelievable. Cooked by owner who kept popping out to make sure our food was okay. . Would definitely go back again and friends also thoroughly enjoyed food aswell

Thai Kitchen in Carnoustie offers delicious, authentic Thai food with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. The Yellow curry and Curry Stir-fry were great dishes, perfectly spiced. Quick service and generous portions make it a great takeaway choice!

Tasty Thai!! Fresh and just the right amount of spice. Chef came out and talked to us and food servers were very attentive.

I would stay well clear , fortunately I understand Thai and I heard a waitress speaking nastily about people who were there. Very nasty staff, also saw rats in the kitchen from my table.

Great authentic Thai food on your doorstep

The food was a bit pricey in the restaurant so we ordered take away. But the food was tasty and authentic taste, would eat there again. Great food for my mother on a Keto diet.

I’ve lived in Carnoustie for 6 years but only just got around to trying this place! Ordered over the phone for collection. It took around 50 minutes for it to be made which is longer than I would expect, however they did sign post that to me and it’s a good indicator that the food is cooked fresh to order and given care and attention. The food itself was beautiful, I’ve not tried much Thai food so not a huge amount to compare to but I really enjoyed it. Only thing that wasn’t to my taste was the Thai fish cake in the mixed starter but everything else was superb.

Fist time we had visited for a long time, the food was excellent, we shared a mixed starter for 2, it consisted of chicken skewers, king prawn in batter, spring rolls & Thai fish cakes, served with satay sauce, chilli sauce and a vinegar based dressing this was lovely. I had stir fried chicken with vegetables in oyster sauce, my partner had stir fried king prawns in chilli sauce & we shared coconut rice.

Having been here a few times, we always manage to find something different to try. Fantastic tastes, can be made more or less spicy should you require. Lovely friendly staff always willing to help.

Visited restaurant last night with my wife. Absolutely first class food- best Thai cuisine we've ever had. Green thai curry and haddock in sweet and sour sauce wete both wonderful. Why this place wasnt full is a mystery to me. Will be back when next up in the area.

Great atmosphere at weekends and advance booking is a must. Excellent authentic Thai cooking while making the most of local ingredients. Service friendly and efficient even when fully booked. Value for money nowadays is a bonus. Highly recommend.

Food is delicious, everything I've had off the menu I have loved. Small selection of starters and mains but they are very well done! Youngsters serving, all very polite, friendly and hard working. Looking forward to another visit soon!

We had a lovely time, a warm welcome and delicious food to choose from, I had crispy tofu and stir fried king prawns and oyster sauce. We will be back again and can recommend Thai Kitchen.

What a fantastic Thai Kitchen! It’s an intimate restaurant with great service and stellar food, we were a party of three dining here for the first time. The food was awesome, our hostess was very attentive, we will definitely return. Book ahead as it is always busy.

This place is really really good. The food slaps, the service is warm, friendly, and on point, and it really feels like you’re treated to a meal at a friend’s home. It’s the sort of place that makes you want to write a review afterwards, it’s that good.

The food was excellent. I had a grern curry which was toward the top of green currys list i have had all over the world. Very pleasantly surprised Had a takeaway so can't comment directly on the table service but nothing to suggest it wouldn't be up to standard.

First time eating here. Discovered purely by chance when researching Thai food, however a friend who heard we were intending using Thai Kitchen said we wouldn't be disappointed. She was right. The food was flavoursome with just the right amount of spice. My partner, who's birthday it was, doesn't like too spicy. I like it hot. The TomYum soup is without doubt the best i have tried. Hot and spicy, excellent. The attention from the staff was at just the right level, not intrusive but always willing to help. The chef included, she came out to make sure everything was OK. If your in Carnoustie and looking for something a wee bit different, try here. We will without doubt be back.

Found this intimate little restaurant just off the high street and were pleased we did. The restaurant was fairly quiet as expected for mid week during May, but we were made so welcome by the owner, she explained what we were asking about on their fairly extensive menu for a small restaurant. We loved our starters and different stir fries as well as an acceptable wine to complete our meal. This small restaurant deserved both locals and tourists like ourselves to support it. We will certainly be back whenever we return to Carnoustie.

Went here with friends for our anniversary. We were welcomed with a lovely smile, showed quickly to our table and drink orders taken. Given time to make our meal choice and when the courses arrived they were hot and very tasty. Loved my Golden Bag starter and Chicken Cashew main. There was no feeling of being rushed out the door - just a lovely relaxed experience

Made a reservation for Saturday evening. We ordered Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, Green Curry (Pork), Hot and Sour (Tom Yum, Prawn), and a Stir Fry with Oyster Sauce (Chicken). Ordered additional white rice and fried rice. Personally enjoyed the spring rolls and the aroma of the green curry the most. My peers (some asians with Thai ancestry) thought that the Tom Yum could have more sour to it, and the Pad Thai less sweet. Sadly, both the fried rice and Pad thai had also lacked that touch of "wok hei" characteristic of many asian foods. It's a small restaurant so would recommend making a reservation. We would certainly be very delighted if Thai milk tea were added to the menu! Otherwise, the food was overall tasty and delightful. The staff/manager/boss were friendly and incredibly helpful. Would recommend this place and would return in the near future!

Amazing food. Always freshly prepared and bursting with flavours, and they're always happy to make it to whatever spice level you fancy. Great wee takeaway lunch boxes for a fiver on Fridays. Always quite busy so order early!

We had an amazing meal with fantastic service to celebrate my fathers 80th birthday. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the meal, great choice of menu, fantastic flavours and very accommodating with dietary requirements. The staff were very attentive and made us all feel very special.

The meal was nice - not exceptional but a good enjoyable meal. The service however was excellent and the staff all extremely friendly. Overall I would rate the meal as good value for money and I would go back to them again if in town.

Visited here last night. Very easy to book a table (fb messenger), the food was great( I recommend the Massamsn curry) and the staff could not have been nicer. Only cloud on the horizon was the very bright lighting , I asked for them to turn the dimmer switch down but it only went down a notch, the atmosphere would've been much improved with less harsh lighting.

We placed a big order on Saturday night and it arrived very quickly and all of the curries were delicious! We had Green, red and yellow thai currys as well as coconut and jasmine rice and noodles and it was all amazing. Would recommend highly!

There was a party of 12 of us and the Thai Kitchen could not be more accommodating. The standard of the food was breathtaking, the service smooth and quick and attentive and the price was beyond reasonable. Highly recommended.

Visited as we were in the area and thought it would be a change. I really hoped that it to be delicious given the reviews we had read. My starter was just average (chicken satay), as the chicken was very dry. However my husband ordered the tom yum soup and it was fragrant, hot and tasty. The main meals were nice, just a little oily. I had a chicken cashew stir fry and my husband ate a hot red curry. The coconut rice was nice but very salty and the noodles a bit gloopy. Prawn crackers weren’t nice either. So- it was fine but could be better and more refined. It cost £60.

It has been several months since my last visit to this restaurant and I have to say that I was not disappointed. I was the only person in at the time on Wednesday night which I cannot understand as the food is fresh, tasty, hot and sour and spicy, just as Thai food should be. We arrived as a walk in last night and were welcomed despite fully booked and no tables. They made a table which wasn’t best placed but since we just pitched up and it was Friday night was perfectly fine. The staff were warming and always smiling. The food was delicious. Best vegetable spring rolls I’ve had and I’ve been to Thailand. Main course were tasty and plentiful. Would highly recommend this small restaurant

We visited this absolutely fantastic Thai restaurant when staying in Carnoustie for a couple of nights, and couldn’t have been happier with it! The restaurant is quite small and intimate with a really nice atmosphere and is spotlessly clean. The food was so fresh and tasty and the service was great. It’s probably one of the best Thai meals I’ve had in Scotland and was good value for money too. If you find yourself looking for somewhere for a lovely evening meal in Carnoustie then don’t overlook this wee gem of a restaurant. I highly recommend it.

We visited this restaurant last night. Weren’t sure as it was very quiet when we arrived but it soon got nice and busy, a good sign for a Thursday! The food was fantastic! We ordered the platter for two which we felt was a bit overpriced but tasted great. The curries were super! The duck and red are to be recommended. A great find and overall, great value.

Was really fancying trying Thai food but couldn't think of where to go. I Searched TripAdvisor to find some amazing reviews for Thai kitchen. So booked a table for 4 as family were visiting for the weekend. We were greeted at 5.30pm by a lovely waitress and we were shown to our seats next to a couple who were telling us how they were very impressed with the food so far. We ordered a mix starters for 3 and golden bags and were gobsmacked at how tasty everything was, light and fluffy making us want some more. The mains were out of this world, red curry, green curry, duck curry, massaman curry, delicious food, So impressed that we will be back for more. Thank you to the amazing chef and wonderful staff at Thai kitchen for this wonderful experience.

The setting is very basic but has lots of charm. The wine menu had a good range of choice and there is even a £100 bottle of champagne on there ?!?

Just visited this lovely restaurant with my wife and friends. The food was excellent, service friendly and very efficient. The menu offers a nice range of dishes and is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend you try this lovely little place you want be disappointed.

Had a fantastic meal at Thai Kitchen and highly recommend. Firstly messaged them via Facebook to request a table, had a response within the hour. The food and service was first class, we shared the sharing platter and then the Prawn Green Curry (normally rather mild, but this was the right side of spicy) and the Chicken Chilli Basil stir fry. It's a must if in Carnoustie

Ordered a takeaway from here for a group of 6. Food was ready on time and food was piping hot.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here in August. Waitress took time to explain the various dishes. When one dish was too spicy the cook came out to give advice. Later on she came back and asked how it was and told us what she had done. Really pleasant restaurant, friendly staff. Best to make a reservation.

What a place, been here several times and it never fails to impress. Food is out of this world and have never had a bad meal, starters or mains. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Love this place and will be back again and again.

A really lovely little restaurant with pleasant staff and excellent Thai food; all food is freshly prepared and genuinely Thai and prices are extremely modest especially for the quality provided. Highly recommended!

Great experience in this place - good food and service. A refreshing change! Only complaint was when we had finished our meal the staff made it clear they wanted us to leave!
