The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in South East

Recommend the pizza! Pudding wasn't my favourite (sticky toffee). Nice environment, big portions for roast!

The staff were very nice. I think someone was having a bad night in the kitchen as we waited 50 mins for our food and when it came it was cold and had to be sent back.

As the Charter Fair was in town we decided to try out the new town for food, unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience. It felt like it was completely understaffed, but we asked if they were understaffed and they said no, everyone was on! So us getting up to request drinks(this happened twice, the only drinks we had, we would have had more, but…). We ordered out starters/mains….my starter was the cauliflower bites, and my husband’s the calamari - no spice to the cauliflower, very bland, and my husbands calamari was soggy, not a great start but not righting the place off yet…then obviously we had to get up and order a drink which then took a long time to arrive….main meals then arrived, husbands rump steak(requested medium/rare), very over cooked, and I had the half chicken….the best bits on both mains were the sides, I loved the tomatoes and fries, and my husbands calamari loved the mushrooms and fries, the main parts didn’t deliver….so overall, would not recommend.

The food was not good. I got ill from it.

Impromptu mid week lunch and so glad we went to The Fox. Excellent food and service with the added bonus of view out to sea. We chose Tapas, squid, chilli garlic prawns, cheese and ham croquettes and Serrano ham, fig and walnut bruschetta. Ordered mozzarella and garlic bread that was yummy too. Pudding, lemon posset with fruit. Can’t fault the food at all. Service with a smile. Really unexpected quality for the cost. Can’t recommend enough. 🦊 ❤️

REINA GRILL– One of the Best Kebab Spots in Headington, Oxford! Reina Grill is hands down one of the best Turkish kebab takeaways in Headington, Oxford. Super clean, authentic, and absolutely delicious! Whether it’s chicken or lamb skewers, the flavours transport you straight to Turkey. Their chicken doner is my personal favourite – juicy and full of flavour. The lamb is just as good, and don’t even get me started on the large burgers 🍔 and crispy chips – unreal! The Greek salad is always fresh and tasty, and even their fried chicken hits the spot. There’s a cosy little eat-in area for about 8–9 people, perfect for a quick meal. My daughter always stops by when she’s back from town and calls me: “Dad, I’m at Reina want anything?” And I always say, “What kind of question is that?! Grab my kebab!” 😄 It’s right by the Headington bus stop, just off the edge of Bury Knowle Park great for a summer picnic pickup. Since Covid, it’s become our go to spot – always the first place that comes to mind for takeaway. It’s also great for students – top quality, great prices. Yasin, the regular guy behind the counter, is top notch friendly, helpful, and always adds a little extra like a drink or snack. They’ve even got a 5-star ⭐ hygiene rating from the council – just another reason we keep going back. Its CLOSED - GONE Disappointing because we'd only gone to Gravesend to have a meal in Riva☹️☹️

We visited on a Saturday with friends and once parked we visited the Woodfire Restaurant. Wine and food were top class and the Porterhouse Steak cooked in the Wood Fired Oven tasted delightful. Service was excellent, drinks were topped up as required. The only change i'd make is a lighter coloured background on the menu - not a biggie! Looking forward a Sunday Lunch there soon.

Arrive at 13.30 6 people drinks and food order straight away but waiting 45 mimutes for starters -5 starters arrived and waiting for last one for ages - soup - no spoon so waiting again- half way through starters drinks arrived wine but no glasses then main course in different stages one person nearly finished and other still waiting food was cold side vegetables arrived when we nearly done so disappointed and pudding we order was banana toffee pie but arrive block of frozen ice cover with chocolate such lovely location but terrible food

Very cute and cozy place. Plenty of food choices on their menu. Service was also great and the drinks were tasty. Every time I visit Cobham I go to Coppa as it has always been a great experience.

I can honestly say this was the worst experience I have ever had in terms of food and customer service. I attended on a Thursday evening in December with work colleagues for our Christmas party. We paid £40 a head so although I recognise the food limitations of large parties, I expected a certain standard for this price. Firstly the food. Starters were luke warm. You could stand a spoon up in my oily soup. Turkey was full of gristle. Cheesecake was a strange texture and inedible. Worse than that though, a vegetarian in our group was told then had run out of her pre ordered option. As an alternative she was given a plate of potatoes and carrots. They had no vegetarian gravy. Someone else in the group was a vegan and despite asking for options in advance, was not given a reply. What she was given on the night was really poor. We faked to speak to the manager. He declined initially. Eventually he agreed to talk to us but wouldn’t come to the table to see the problem. He names his event manager and blamed it on her. She wasn’t there to defend herself. He then blamed an agency chef. When my colleague said the experience did not make us want to stay and spend even more money to which he replied ‘bye then. You lot just want free drinks’. So rude. We stayed as there was nowhere else nearby to go. About 20 minutes from the end the waiting staff appeared with a few bottles of cheap wine. The waiting staff I have to say were polite and apologetic. I felt really sorry for them as their manager did nothing to support them. I will never set foot in that place again. It was so poor I was almost speechless. Worst food and customer service I have e we had. It was like fawlty towers.

The service is awful, the manager with the blonde hair was so rude and verbally abusive. The tall bouncer was also very rude to me and my friends from the moment we walked in. Very unwelcoming and disrespectful. They don’t let you out to the smoking area with your drinks and then clear them away while you’re outside and act like they didn’t so just be aware of this and drink up before you go out if you do choose to drink in this bar.

Tuvimos una noche encantadora, hecho realmente especial por nuestro maravilloso camarero, Samuel. Él era tranquilo, increíblemente atento, y nos cuidó mucho, especialmente porque uno de nuestros huéspedes tiene alergias alimentarias graves. Su enfoque atento y comunicación cuidadosa nos hizo sentir completamente a gusto. La comida era buena, no la mejor que hemos tenido, pero sólido y agradable. Lo que realmente destacó fue el servicio. Samuel hizo que toda la experiencia se sintiera perfecta y acogedora. Estaríamos felices de volver solo para ser atendidos por él de nuevo.

The food here is good! I especially love the wings! Im still trying out the whole menu.. Granted the wait for food is sometimes a little long but it's worth the wait. I've only ordered to go so I can't speak on the dine in experience but the staff I've encountered including the owner have been more than friendly and professional.
