We stopped here on the way round the lovely old village of Stockbridge and took advantage of the excellent brunch options which were varied and tasty . Service was good and although we waited a while for food to arrive the quality made it worthwhile , good coffees also . the ambience at the back terrace area wasn't great but then the place was full elsewhere !

Oh dear how this place has changed. Ordered a salad and a starter and after 30 mins asked at till, told be another 5 mins. 15 mins later our order was being offered to two other tables, food finally arrived no apology! Staff are all youngsters without any adult to control almost like they are doing you a favour by serving when they decide to. Three other tables asked for a refund due to the delay and lack of communication whilst we were there. Avoid plenty of better options nearby, such a shame used to be good.

Staff were not attentive and seemed to be unaware that you required service even though we requested a menu. Ordered pizza, salad and fries. At 50 minutes we still had not been served even though we had asked what had happened to our order. In the end I asked for a refund. Other tables were also experiencing a long wait. What a shame as we were really looking forward to the meal

Poor service, hubby tables, overcooked food…. Cannot believe how much this place has changed, used to be amazing. Had pizza and coffee, really not great, did complain but staff were not interested in our feedback……

This used to be such a great plce, but seems to have gone down hill massively. We placed our order, and found a table outside. Twenty minutes later and no sign of our coffee, so I went inside to find the staff chatting and laughing. Finally got my cofee, but the wring one, waited another fiftenn minutes for the correct one to arrive . Will not be returning !!!

What a fabulous pizza - I love a Hawaiian and calzone pizza and here you can have a Hawaiian as a calzone! Absolutely delicious and perfect! Will be coming again! Don’t miss this place!

I have never experienced such inattentive and surly service. The food is good, but totally let down by the customer service. I wouldn’t visit again.

Interesting place which draws you in, but dirty, plate laden tables. Hard to find a cleared table to sit at. No acknowledgment on arrival. Water dispenser empty. No cutlery. Staff more keen on looking at their phones than serving. Bread display shelf was empty. Not a good vibe inside once you have committed yourself to staying.

Came with my partner and 2 year old daughter one morning as we only live up the hill for coffee and a cake. About £25!!! For 2 cakes and 3 drinks. Cake was awful aswell, had the most odd taste to it

Have visited Woodfire many times but seems to have gone down hill of recent had a breakfast on tuesday poor quality food and poor service seems to be run by young kids who do not care.

Stopped for some lunch - ordered sharing platter (for 2 of us) and 2 pots of tea. The tea came in nice pots and was very nice. The sharing platter comes in 3 sizes £16 & £23, but when I asked staff which to order for 2 persons they were clueless - all they could offer by way of help was to say more expensive one is bigger. As we were hungry we went for the bigger one. What turned up was two boards, one with a good selection of meats (although only 2 types) and another with olives, pickled artichoke, a large amount of oil and balsamic in a ramekin, and what was supposed to be pickled garlic. The rosemary focaccia bread was lovely as was the meats, but the garlic was not pickled - just lots of raw garlic cloves covered in oil. I ate two - very strong and instantly regretted it - nearly made myself sick! The balsamic wasn’t vinegar, but the thick glaze, so was like a thick gloop under the oil - again not very appetising. Could have been good - expensive for what we got (even if it had all been nice) and would have expected more variety at that price. But badly let down by inappropriate ingredients and staff who weren’t really that interested (“I don’t usually work here”). Suggest giving the platter a miss….

We are a local family who loved having lunch at Woodfire pre Covid. Sadly it seems to be a very different experience now. We booked a table, specifically requesting a high chair, which was not left out. The staff were disinterested and unfriendly, and didn’t show us to our table, instead misdirecting us to the wrong area of the restaurant, while we searched for the table with our name on it. The whole place seems disorganised and not very clean. Various bits of cleaning apparatus strewn over the first floor (spray bottles, surgical gloves, cloths) looked messy and depressing. We decided not to eat there and left to go elsewhere.

Was stopping to have a pizza with the wife whilst out on the bikes … positioned them next to us took all our stuff off just to be told they had to be taken around the back … errr bearing in mind you have to order within that means leaving our bikes unattended and out of sight. That’s a no for all cyclists ..

We visited things lovely town, wonderful shops which are not normally found on a general high street. Right in the middle is a lovely building and Woodfire. That's the good bit.... just about every aspect of this place rates in my opinion 0 or 1...

Had lunch on a Saturday.We both had wood fire oven cooked pizza, both pizzas were very tasty, good base, fresh toppings.We sat outside, they have good covid precautions, instructions are well publicised, hand cleanser and 1 way system, staff wearing ppe etc. Very pleasant surroundings with tables next to the river/stream.Woodfire have a good selection of cakes and pastries but we were too full to sample, we will be back to do so.

My husband and I as well as other members of our family had joined us for visits to Stockbridge and always eaten in the deli cafe, but last Saturday the deli cafe and other places were full, so we decided to go to eat lunch at the Woodfire and my goodness we are so glad we did. LOVELY place, YUMMY pizzas, GREAT cakes, SUPERB breakfast etc, we will be going there again VERY SOON. HIGHLY recommended.

Amazing pizzas, some of the best we've ever had. Also great coffee and the cakes look delicious. Sadly let down by the fact that if you are seated upstairs you have to go down and queue at the desk to put your order in - on a busy day this was frustrating.

I have been to Woodfire on a number of occasions and it's always very good, the pizzas in particular but they have plenty of other options, which are also delicious. The manageress and staff are always very friendly and we have never had issues with long waits as some people have experienced below. They also do a good selection of cakes and coffees if you wish to go for a snack as against a full main meal. Definitely recommend!

Always enjoyed the Pizza at Woodfire however would not go back. After going for a meal with a young baby/toddler (2yo), had a 50 minute wait for Pizza, common sense is to prioritise the baby's food who was very upset. After our Pizzas arrived, some of the toppings on two of the Pizza's were cold - as in from the fridge cold. We complained about it since the chef clearly forgot and banged it on after being cooked, which as it was meat (nduja) it was a big no-no. We got a very frosty response to the cricism, but after my friend complained to the chef, they offered free drinks and the Pizza's free of charge. The service was not good and one of the new waiters who came to take a coffee order looked at us with what I can only discribe as anger which was bizarre.We decided to leave asap and came down to pay, only for the restaurent to re-neg on what was offered and claim they never offered the free Pizza. The chef said 'I'm not calling you a liar, but....'. My friend repeated the offer back to him to confirm it was correct when she was given the free Pizza's, which considering we had a terrible experience and were a big party was the least they could not do.Unfortunately for them they have lost a family of regulars and we will be spreading the word You can have the best food in the world but treating patrens with respect and as human beings is basics of business, which unfortunately they failed at. If an owner see's this review, I would encourage them to reach out so I can give a more detailed account of exactly what happened as you need to know what your Sunday staff are up to.

Only stopped off for a coffee on Saturday morning but looked like they had plenty more to offer, lovely cakes for sure.Gluten free and dairy free unfortunately not both as my wife is intolerant to both, but hopefully on our next visit they may have something.Pleasant staff and you can gaze the high street, people watching while you rest your weary feet.

Visited here with my son at lunch and shown a table that was dirty but was told it would be cleared. We sat and waited and a waiter cleared and cleaned the table next to ours but ignored us. We waited a further 10 minutes whilst orders around us were taken on 2 large tables hoping to be next, but nothing. Being with a young child I wanted a quick pizza, once I realised this was not going to happen we left. I have been here before and the pizza was good, but this was with the previous management. I won’t be returning again..a real shame.

I met friends for lunch - We went for their brunch menu and had the most gorgeous meal. Avocado, sun dried tomatoes, bacon, poached egg etc on sourdough - Beautifully presented, filling and inexpensive. And the most incredible brownies for pudding!

Stopped for a coffee which was poor in taste, looks and to me undrinkable. They remade it and it was the same. Went to pay and was asked if it was OK, explained no and they then took unashamedly took full payment.

We visited with family on a Saturday evening. We were warmly welcomed and served quickly . The pizzas are superb, especially as they serve the delicious Italian N-Duja sausage on them if you want. Would love to see Woodfire open one night during the week as well as weekends!

Went to Woodfire to meet a friend for brunch. Absolutely fabulous smashed avocado, bacon, sour bread, poached eggs and salsa verde. Lovely place with great food and such good value. Love it

Three of us arrived for pizza. We were offered filtered water and then just waited.

We go to this restaurant quite often. We think the pizza is amazing and lots of other tasty things as well. I especially like the avocado on toast, the Italian sausage panini and the caesar chicken salad. My husband likes the Italian breakfast. The coffee is great. The staff are lovely and the new manager is very enthusiastic, energetic and friendly.

Good good...restaurant pleasant...eager young servers. Busy but not slow. Very good coffee. Feels a bit tired but ok.

Just stopped for lunch. This place is a hidden Gem. Myself and my Wife both had pizza which were amazing. The kids had pasta dish of the day. All fed and watered with no complaints. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed lunch out with fanily on bank holiday monday. This place was v.busy but staff happy n helpful. Order at the bar and the staff then bring food and drinks. Chef on display making amazing pizza. We enjoyed specials inccluding mussels mouniere with amazing fries, pizza and soyp of the day. Food arrived promptly and reasonably priced. Lovely little boult hole and they do amazing food. btw many other people were enjoying coffee and sumptuous cakes

I’m sure the staff change regularly but one they have there at the moment needs to be changed. Why oh why do you need to be asked if you have booked when the place is half empty and gets no fuller...and be told that they are very busy.

Really a coffee shop in Stockbridge serving cold coffee on dirty tables and serving the cakes on plates that are so badly chipped they should be thrown out not given to paying customers...would I visit again - never!

Booked this supper club immediately after enjoying the last one so much! Was not dissapointed, a well thought out, creative and delicious menu. Was hard to pick as I would have happily destroyed every course.

A great afternoon spent at Woodfire. Great service from the outstanding waitress serving our table of 13.

Wood fire was good for early evening dining with the sharing platter very good and enjoyed by all. The pizzas were also good and good value. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant stopped serving quite early in a Saturday evening.

Stockbridge is a township of passage, whether you be an angler enjoying one of the best chalk streams in Europe, or just an aspirant shopper hoping for a parking space to become available before visiting an eclectic and first class range of shops along the High Street. Woodfire completes a range of differing eateries, some charging toppish prices, but provides well-presented food at affordable prices, served by enthusiastic and polite staff. It could be a little smarter but those discerning clients who are prepared to ignore the trappings available elsewhere will be more than satisfied.

At long last! Supper clubs have made a triumphant return to the ever evolving foody landscape of Stockbridge!

Lunch with mother. Very busy and glad we booked. Service average,waiter vague unsure of ingredients of pizza. However pizzas were excellent.

This place came highly recommended by many friends and it didn’t disappoint. Good menu Nice fresh food, reasonably priced. Margarita pizza Mushroom risotto (amazing!) Siciliana pizza My daughter couldn’t finish hers so she took it home for supper!
